Can't save anymore. It's got this weird thing where it doesn't continuously save. You have to hit a save button and then there's all kinds of complicated menus....I don't use this very much on Android so I'm uninstalling. Please make it easier to save files and find files. No other app works this way.

If you ever lose a file after saving use a recovery app like recuva immediately and try to save to an hdd as recovery is easier w/ these types of drives. Every few years they rearrange the menus making it confusing to navigate. 2003 & 2007 versions were best and have about the same functionality as today's. I like how you can change the content on the ribbons on PC version and they usually use all the same shortcuts. IMO buy a copy of old version that way you don't have 2 keep paying.

I love word, the only thing I don't like is not being able to open multiple windows of it at the same time. So I wind up using both word and google doc's in split screen to get my writing done. I wished the app would detect my grammer errors the way Doc's does. I love that I can add the unusual names of my characters to the Word library. I also love the auto save feature, I have lossed whole chapters before I started using Word on my tablet, phone, and laptop.

It's a mixed bag. I am an old word user (over 20 years) and it's had its ups and downs. Word for my PC, is a solid 5 BUT Word for my tablet and phone that's another matter. The android version is not easy to use. It's not intuitive. The menues need a good going over. For my android word processing I use Office Suite. I thought MS could do better but after seeing Windows 11 I'm not so sure anymore. Bill we need you back.

i was writing a paper on this. I've been working on it for well over 5 hours now. I hit the save button at the top of the screen several times cause I was scared of losing progress. After hitting the save button repeatedly, I tried to add a header, opted not to, and decided to exit the document. As I was, it asked "discard changes?" Or "save?" I hit discard because i HAD ALREADY SAVED SEVERAL TIMES. I reopen the doc and everything is gone. The last 3 hours of work, erased. I checked history.

Microsoft Word is great, but the One Drive software entanglement is cumbersome. I have lost hours of productivity trying to accomplish basic tasks, such as download Word only, to a desktop-without having to open Office. I do not want to look at all their products at once, and prefer a direct access. The Office software package provides useful programs, but is bizarre to navigate. I hope Microsoft will declutter their constellation of products for a more navigable experience.

Missing the vast majority of the functionality from the desktop version. No access to detailed paragraph settings. Cannot view rulers like a normal desktop document. No way to access the detailed list indent settings. No access to styles. This isn't Microsoft Word. This is essentially just a bare minimum document editor.

This App needs to allow you to preview your documents on a side panel so that you can delete Duplicates, or even merge them in order to keep track of the different modifications of your document from star to finish. I am having a difficult time finding Duplicates, thus my space is all filled up, and I have to save my new documents in a different Account, very inconvenient to say the least. I am a Visual Person thus I prefer Tabs that I can see and click on rather than drop down menus.

Love all the different fonts. Except it seems impossible to actually make the text change capital to lower case. Also the bar that's supposed to be helpful is more aggravating than help. But overall it's not a bad app. I'd make it a little more USER FRIENDLY AND TECHNOLOGY INCLINED OR declined capable. Otherwise it's not bad.

I've always loved Word & the other programs associated with Office. I know a few things I would like added: like being able to group unread mail together so I can delete and/or block all my spam at once. Going through 1k messages takes forever and I'm always backed up.. unless it's an option I don't know exist. Also, the edibility to change or format something like a resume... I couldn't format it the way I needed it. If it does, I'll change to 5 stars because honestly, it's a great program.

I once was a fan of this app, but I'm recent months it has become unforgivably glitchy. I've lost MULTIPLE documents, MULTIPLE times, and what's the point of a word processor I can't use to create documents? I'll be looking for a different app, which is sad, because I had very much liked how Word was set up. Yet, I need reliability above all else. Download with caution.

I just started using it after a while of needing to find something new—kinda regret not getting it before. Very comfortable on the eyes, easy to use. I like that the tabs (if you call them that?) aren't clunky and distracting like they would be on many other writing apps. I still need time to adjust but overall, I like it. :)

I have been using the read-aloud feature to hear what I wrote while I work (like an audiobook). The voice is great and the feature is wonderful for catching mistakes/typos as you listen. Since the last update this feature seems to be buggy. It used to read through a section without pause, and continue after chapter breaks. Now it will suddenly stop after ellipsis and asterisk/s. I have to continuously, press pause then play, to keep going. Still... My favorite app to write as it transfers easily

Use on multiple devices is too buggy. Edit a document on one device, save it, and edit it on a different device later. Changes not shown. Try to fix it by modifying the document on either device, and the app is confused on both devices of someone else modifying the document. The only way to fix it is to clear all data on the first device. Then the changes come through on both. App not really useful if more than one device is used. Same problem with EXCEL!!! This is basic testing.

Word is okay at best most times. The most recent irritation I had that caused me to uninstall is that it popped up a privacy agreement that I couldn't skip to do actual work, telling me how Word "cares about privacy" and not two minutes later I get an email telling me that the document I was trying to open was sent to OneDrive without my permission. What a joke. If you care about privacy on even a basic level, Microsoft is the exact opposite, no matter how many privacy statements they put out.

You have to be connected to the internet and an outlook account at all times to be able to creat, edit, visualize any documents. You also cant create, save or access local files. Its a shame, because prior versions of the app didnt include these restrictions. I guess they figured collecting that prescious personal data is more profitable than having the basic functions of a document editor, making it the always-online xbox one from 2013 of document editors.

Using this on desktop or a laptop is wonderful. But using this on a mobile device of any kind is difficult, laggy, and not very user-friendly, all of which makes work on the mobile version in the way of progress. The only reason I got it on mobile is because my laptop is in the shop, and my projects for school are becoming more demanding, so this was the only way I could do anything. The app opens and closes the keyboard over and over, making typos much more of an issue than on a real computer.

Using Tab S8 Ultra, and space bar not registering. I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, along with the Keyboard Case w/ trackpad, and typing in MS Word is Miserable. While typing, if I press the space bar once in MS Word, then nothing happens. If I press the space bar twice (after typing a word), then I'm able to get a single space. I'm not sure what's going on, but this app is completely useless right now. For context, I typed this feedback on the same keyboard, and spaces came out just fine

The word predictor is hard to override so I had to disable it so now my word lookup doesn't work and I have to spell check on Google separately. And I'd like to password protect files on my phone and Word for android doesn't allow for this. The black box that comes up at the beginning of opening a file often tells me someone else is accessing my document when I have never shared it with anyone. Then I can't see who is accessing it.

Useful but still needs to be improved. I use it with my like book P10 and often have problems using the drawing function. Often it shifts down the page from where I write. Very frustrating. I wish it didn't do that. Otherwise it seems to work well enough. Update: the drawing still is not fixed and I give up using this feature. This app is good for typing. Let me know when you get the drawing fixed. That's the point of having a tablet version.

I really don't like the fact that you are unable to change the theme to dark mode in the mobile app. On my computer, Microsoft Word is perfect. But the mobile app is not enjoyable to use because of this one thing. It really strains the eyes, especially since I have to look at the screen for a long time. For now I'll have to use another app that actually has dark mode, which sucks because normally I really like Microsoft word.

So it's great to have word on mobile, but some things are really a pain. Like cursor placement and the constant moving and jumping around on the screen the overabundance of autosaves like if you're jumping around doing something like an outline or a list it will save like every few seconds and then move your screen and it really it's just f's everything up. Like I said word is great on a mobile but it's slow because of all the little hiccups with saving and cursor moves and jittery screen.

It was impossible to find a reliable PDF➡️ Word convertor. I was still left no app and no solution after trying damn near everything. While this Word app doesn't even clearly advertise this particular feature, it performs it incomparably well (and for free!) compared to apps designed to perform the sole function.. and this actually applies to several of its functions. It simplifies everything document related and does what it does and "what everyone else can do," IT JUST DOES IT BETTER!

I'm quite disappointed that I still can click a mouse pointer and drag over words to highlight them, so many years after this app came out. Hitting "tab" when using bullets doesn't change the bullet style like iPad or the PC versions do - I wish it behaved more like at least the iPad version which is more consistent with the desktop experience. Get's the job done but Android deserves better. I know development is difficult, but I really hope devs care about innovating on this app more.

Word has gone full-blown dyslexic. Word auto-correct changes what I've typed into scrambled letters at random. I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling, using a different keyboards, but it doesn't help. Word is the only app that I'm having this problem. Between having to turn off Auto-Correct, can't save my own templates and the international companies I work with has banned OneDrive due to security concerns, I see no point in renewing M$ Office. For tech support they want you to use the "Community" to ask other frustrated customer for answers or have an expert give a generic answer

I've used mobile word since late 2018. But in the last 6 months or so I've been unable to because every time I open the app, it has inverted the coloration of everything on the page. Complete negative. I'm not sure why. I uninstall and re-install and that fixes it for a short period. Then it messes up again. But I can open those same files on the laptop and it's fine. Very frustrating.

Thank you for this app. I like it in all its versions. I t works exceptionally well with Edge, my default browser on my little notebook, and with Android? With my newest tablet best thus far. I try to save shared Docs in this Android app, sometimes with difficulty (on their end, not mine). Not yet fully synched between 2 of my devices because I am not continuously logged in. But there is always OneDrive for the backup. I do a lot of writing and use the grammar extension.

I like it generally, but wish they would allow you to make the microphone disappear when you don't want to use it. Also, I cannot determine how to make the task bar at the top appear when you need to use it to, perhaps, save what you have written. Sometimes simply moving your typed text up and down a little will do the trick, but other times that doesn't seem to work.

Fonts gone again... This is extremely frustrating. I am always hesitant to download Word updates, because it ALWAYS breaks something.. This time is a repeat, repeat, repeat performance of fonts. I frequently start or continue correspondence on a mobile device and transfer to a tab or PC.. I made the mistake of updating, and now all of the fonts are gone, and everything to rectify the issue is greyed out... I'm a 365 subscriber, so thats NOT the problem.

Okay, it can be undaunting to pay monthly for an app, but trust me, nothing else compares. No funky colored screens, no ads, and easy to use tools. And no matter what you are writing, you can hear it read outloud to you as you work, allowing you to get a feel for how your material sounds to others! It easily helps with catching various mistakes it is so easy to miss that go right through grammer check.

I write a file, save it, and after having worked for hours on it, even though I've saved it, I can never open it again. I've trier several times to rewrite an important document and now have missed deadlines over this. The problem happened when I switched toa Samsung Ultra 21, which has completely destroyed all ability to use Word and had rendered a book I've been writing completely useless. I am beyond horrified and appalled that Microsoft cannot manage a simple thing like preserving a file.

This app works extremely well, but I have one problem that changes how I look at this. Now that I've canceled my Microsoft 365 subscription, the app is pretty much useless. Many features of the app (such as adding page breaks) are locked behind a paywall if you don't have a subscription, but almost all of those features are available for free in the online version of Word. I'd much rather switch Chrome to desktop mode and use the online version of Word if I have to pay for a basic feature set.

Word in my phone has taught itself to insert the word 'is' inappropriately in voice to text speech. ( I don't know if that's the fault of Word or the speech to text.) Word also follows every punctuation mark with a space. So words that join with a slash or hyphen are separated. I have to go back and edit each instance. Push/ pull. Either- or. Every spoken sentence begins with an empty space, as you see before the word 'every.' Saying 'half & half' results in '1/2 and a 1/2.'

Android MS Word app works well and it has all the features you are used to and expect in Word. But it's menu system sucks - the way it's put together is so non-intuitive, I don't know of any other app so poorly thought out. What was wrong with regular menus like Word used to have (before the ridiculous and timewasting ribbon menus were forced on us)? A good, functioning context menu is necessary, but other Android applications have solved these menu issues elegantly and intuitively.

This app does fix Stupid 🤣. No really, I was very impressed with the business "Word" app, instead of private. Damn thing does just about everything for you. It was faster, better appearance and no frustration/impatient moments, cause my time is very valuable and short. I'm old school, but I like having a Secretary who actually does work. Moreover, it does what you want before you know what you want. Now that's awesome, can't say the same about Outlook though, but I've been a Micro&Google brat.

As a paid subscriber to office 365, this is an extreme disappointment. After a factory reset of my LG ThinQ and reinstall of Word, I'm still having the same issue as prior. I can't create a new document. Hitting the "+" takes me to the "new" screen, in which I can do absolutely nothing. The drop down isn't populated. Clicking any template or blank document does nothing. This issue occured both before and after a factory reset of the device and a fresh download of the app. This app is unusable.

Decent as a Word viewer, I guess. Awful to actually edit anything, especially longer documents, and formatting options are terrible. Also seems very memory limited as it seems to forget where you're at and just takes you to the beginning of the doc or some random place that it managed to load in memory. Frustrating experience.

I have been using Word® from "Word-One", and I have enjoyed growing with it. However, this is but a pale shadow, its limitations are frustrating, and its inability to work with set formats, such as labels and cards is often infuriating. I understand that the Android OS imposes limits; I can only hope that the (NEAR) future will expand the capabilities.

Its great to have and has most of the most commonly used functions in the full pc program. My phone screen is small not the fault of so its difficult to move things around and sometimes hard to find the feature i.e., spell check, track changes, etc. Its almost always there just to easy to find. The fact that it is as powerful makes it great to have in emergencies, making document changes on the fly without the need of a pc.

It always works well when I use the software on a PC or laptop. Now that all I have is a cell phone, I continue to use Word in it's mobile app form. The main drawback is my phone's screen size. I get frustrated sometimes when I can't [immediately] find a specific formatting option although, if I lose the attitude I will eventually find what I'm looking for. All in all, it works well & prints my docs just fine in the end 👍😉

If Word just redid its design and made everything inverted on purpose, it sucks. You can't see what you're highlighting to change something, everything is black and because of that, when there is a glare from overhead lighting or any lighting in general, you can't see anything. This new "update" sucks and needs to go back to the original. As a Senior in University, having the system changed could seriously deter from my professors being able to grade papers and such. However, if this isn't an update and my Word app decided to change on me, I can't get it back to normal. But my point still stands: if this new inverted, black layout/design is an "improvement," than it really sucks and is hindering productivity. Thank You.

I have always preferred Microsoft word to other word processors however immediately was very unsatisfactory in that it fights me on creating new documents, to points, it is random and undetermined if it will even do it in the end or not. That is my only major issue thus far, every app has its glitches but this kind of app absolutely CAN NOT have this kind of one, I have work on deadlines here and this does nothing but impede. I want to be loyal!! Let me!!!!

This is great to open word documents on a mobile platform. For trying to do any kind of edits to a word document from a cell phone, this is easily one of the most poorly functioning apps I've ever tried to use. I'm just trying to edit text on a charity donation request flyer and it's virtually impossible to select the lines and areas that I need to.

We are trying out the premium version. For some reason when ever you right click it saves the doc which is annoying. You then have to re-open it which is very annoying. Took a few minutes to figure out what was happening. It does work a lot better than Google Docs where it moves tables all over the screen. So if you don't ever right click then your golden. We are using a USB mouse on our tablet.

Decent word processing app. Works beautifully with my bluetooth keyboard. Has styles, though they can't be customized. Unfortunately, it occasionally freezes while scrolling through a document, takes forever to load a document, or freezes up mid-sentence for several seconds (or, rarely, altogether, requiring a restart). So I'll say it's good for an Android App, but I wouldn't touch it if I were using a real computer.

I really want to love this app. It has a lot of great features. Unfortunately, it's very frustrating to use for long periods. The biggest problem is with the scroll function. I can see using the scroll bar when you're in the windows view, but in mobile view, the wrong motion while scrolling normally activates it, causing your view to jump drastically throughout the document, losing your place each time. Same with highlighting. The user should be able to disable the scroll bar feature.

The only issues that i have with this is that a underline appears seemingly randomly every page or so. Though it isn't recognized as an underline, and when I highlight it, underline it, then get rid of the manual underline, the automatic underline is still there. When I erase it, and the entire sentence, and retype it, it is still in the exact location. No spelling or grammar correction needed, but for some reason it will not go away, other than that no issues

I'm happy with this app. Even though OneDrive doesn't have a lot of space without 365, I'm glad I can edit documents for free using this. But, the UI is terrible for a mobile enviornment. It looks like the desktop version, but all smushed together, making it harder to use at times. After you get past that, though, it's a great document editing app.

I feel like I should be fair to Microsoft for creating a complex piece of software as an app. On Windows computers, Word is the end-all-be-all for creating documents; it's effecient, easy to use, and highly customizable. However, as an app, it's a drain on your mental health. It constantly crashes, files can just disappear or never open, and it's tough to jump back and forth from a website window to the Word window without the whole app freezing. It works, but only sometimes.

This app is not made for your mobile phone. It zooms around too quickly, but also too slow in response to your touch. The app can't figure out when you want to move the curser, or if you want to scroll which makes getting through a document over a few paragraphs long a nightmare. I do not suggest this app for document editing nor viewing on mobile devices

I'm having the same issue with tablet vs cell phone use. I can't select or highlight sections within a paragraph. There's no way to change the settings like on a computer-based application. I can't keep the ribbon visible. I can't change the some of the table settings. Hopefully an update is in the near future.

I have used Word for several years because it's easy to manipulate no matter what project I'm working on. I've only recently added the app and it works well enough. I like that I can zoom out and see more than small sections. However, while I'm trying to maneuver across paragraphs, it often selects an invisible section of the scroller causing my doc to scroll up or down several pages. Can be a little annoying. But overall, so far, it's been good to sync my comp docs to my app for easy writing.

Go For Google Docs Word has been the king of word processing for decades at this point. This app is nothing like the windows version of the software. It is extremly clunky and cumbersome to navigate. For example deleting an extra page requires you to long press on the screen then hit backspace. The problem is this doesn't work at all on most pages leaving you with blank pages at the end of your documents. Shocking to see a product this bad from a company as well established as Microsoft.

This app has plenty of potential, but is mostly suited for cell phone use. Developers need to start thinking about tablet use since a lot of users have tablets now. On a tablet this app is terrible and is unusable. You cannot select or move text with a mouse. There are no page rulers or borders. There is no way to view non-printing characters. You can't save to pdf or any other format. Considering that I am paying 10.00 a month, I am expecting a better app than this. I don't think a full version of word is needed, but some of the basics are and its these missing items that keep this from being a five star app.

I am an original Microsoft Word user. I have been a first buyer anxiously awaiting Microsoft Office Suite software to be released. In 1989 I worked in corporate accounting. I was hired because I knew Word and Excel. I was self taught, but a wiz at it. I had learned Word on my first personal Gateway desktop computer. I helped shape Word by using and giving my feedback. Anywhere and anyway I can access Word is great. #1 on my word processing screen large or small. This is a great a great app.

Google and Microsoft don't like each other so it's no surprise that the Word app doesn't work on the Chromebook. Slow start up, stalls, weird looking layout, freezes, crashes, saves things in weird ways, hard to use. Not that this review will matter because I've written about it already and nothing happens since they never read these or do anything about actual customer suggestions. But, they asked me to do a review, so here are my thoughts. Cheers, all.

Microsoft says they added the ability to navigate via document headings by clicking the top 3-dot More Menu. This feature does not appear as an option on my phone using the updated app with docs that navigate fine on desktop and in browser. Navigating docs on smaller screens remains a frustrating experience. There's also no ability to view documents with a dark background and light text. Microsoft is close to catching up with the competition, hope they make it soon.

This app is amazing. I'm currently in college, working and am often on the bus, as I have no car. This app has saved my grades and helped so much with my limited time. I was able to write all of my papers on it, edit every option I could on the computer version, and could easily save, access, and edit, from multiple different accounts and devices. Its a must for any student or professional with word needs.

I use while running Dex. It works pretty good although there are limitations. For example, you can't use the mouse to highlight text. It just won't work. I tried to show off by playing a video on the phone (Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G) and found the keboard stopped working. Dex has a long way to go before it can be taken seriously. Microsoft Word and Excell are two of the very few apps that attempts to behave as though on a tablet, laptop or desktop.

The interface is catastrophic. This app was modified for smartphones/tablets. The menus are on the bottom and it's frustrating having to jump back and forth to make minor changes. Also when it's exported to be viewed/edited on the desktop the layout is way off. I typed an essay but when I turned it in, the margins, headers, everything, was completely changed. I did a print preview to make sure it was correct, but no. Please make desktop layout option.

Fantastic mobile word editor. Much better than Google Docs on Android. Looks and feels like desktop Word. I can view documents in my personal vault in OneDrive with no restrictions as long as it's in my recents list on the left side of the screen; I feel this defeats the purpose of having a secure folder in the first place. Otherwise, the app is great.

Doesn't consistently work. Will work with opening download documents or opening documents already on your phone, but if you want to open your one drive and look at documents saved in that, forget it. I wanted over 15 minutes for the app to "fetch" my files. Never gets passed that. I'm logged into all of the one drives that I used, there's no issue with passwords or validation. It just won't load my documents when I need them. If it changes, I'll edit my review.

I like the app! For me, it works just like normal Word except for the fact that it is, of course, a phone. This app is a great accessory because it allows me to touch up on my docs while I'm on the go, and it makes downloading and viewing other documents easy! I also like to start a few essays and project ideas when they come to me! Thanks Microsoft! 5 stars!

🏆🏆🏆Love. MSWord, for about 20 years. Full suite word processing, all the bells and whistles, and super smart integration to video, pixels, rar, pdf plus spreadsheets and webpages. Import your pics and make your own poster or a card to give Mass mailings, textbook creation, document mapping. It can do it all, very well. I highly recommend this app for any wordsmith, page layout or correspondence. It is better than an apps text editor. Easy to copy and paste everywhere!😁

Consider your needs- you may be better off using the browser version of Word. It's free, so I suppose I can't complain too much, but no Times New Roman font, really? I'm certain it's more frequently used than wingdings 1 through 4, particularly by students for whom its required. I also wish rulers were visible, but those aren't for the browser either.

This app is normally great. Unfortunately, today it began malfunctioning severely. I was working on a document and the app said it couldn't autosave it for some reason. So I made a copy, but then it happened again. And again. Then it kicked me out of the doc, showing a screen that said "Configuring Office, fetching your files". This now happens when I try to restore the doc, access older files, go to settings, etc. I'm not sure what to do.

It is a good start to the app and for the most part it runs smoothly however when I copy and paste documents from other versions of Microsoft, it will not keep the format. When I try to readjust the format, it won't match so it does get frustrating. I do not have the features like the desktop version where you can adjust the paragraph format, etc. P.S I am using a chromebook.

This app is actually really good! I have had absolutely NO problems with this app except for one. When I download to my device into "documents", it doesn't download onto my device. But when I do it in " downloads", it works just fine. I keep this app updated, so it's not that. And it's not my device, because I keep my device updated as well. Not my Wi-Fi either because mine is a strong connection. So please fix that, if you do, I'd gladly give it 5 stars.😫🙏🙏💓

Is it possible to add an option to hide the microphone button? I don't need it and it gets extremely annoying when you can't hide it. My experience: Generally below average. For the official mobile version of a popular software, it's below average. Many features missing. Unstable.

Having used Word since early days, it is difficult to be truly objective about it. Though I am always thinking that it could improve on some feature or method, the fact remains that there is little that Word cannot do, if you know how. It may not seem all that intuitive, but remember that it started in the days when DOS was a common UI and "Word Perfect" seemed to "rule the pool" in most office tying pools in the US. I find the mobile version takes some getting used to, but is still great!

Mostly awesome app. I like being able to work on a document both on a Chromebook and my phone, with changes saving in real time. Pretty easy to use, but there are some improvements that would make it better. For example, on the Chromebook, the select function is limited to a character, a word, a paragraph or the entire document. If you want to select a sentence or a series of words for easier editing, it appears that you can't--but you can when using it on a phone. Stuff like that.

This app would be fine if it didnt create a second "documents" folder on my device. It saves in one folder but the other is empty, this causes my device and computers to get confused. They will report that the folder contains items and has size but when you try to open the "documents" folder it shows the contents as empty. I thought i lost pages of text until I figured this out. A fix for this would be nice. The app also continually asks me to log in even if I never logged out.

I've used MS Word for years and I prefer it over any other writing program I've ever used. It's functional, and does everything I need it to do plain and simple without a lot of fancy stuff I don't need. it gets the job done plain and simple and fast. The one I thing I miss is the animated assistant it used to have, little Clippit. I rearely if ever used him, but I used to keep him on the top of the desk to watch the animation. I wish Microsoft would bring him back just for the hell of it.

My favorite word processing program was WordPerfect. However MS Word is a close 2nd and I have learned to love it. The best feature hands down is that it automatically saves your document while its being typed. Kudos to who ever had that idea. I can't say how many times I lost pieces or the entire document because I forgot to save as I went along. I'm getting ready to download the update you made two days ago . I hope you didn't fix anything that wasn't broken. Great Job! Thanks

I use this app on both my Android phone and Chromebook. The mobile version works fine, but as many have said, the Chromebook version has a million small glitches. For instance, autosave would keep freezing up the app, so I switched it to manual save only and now it works better (but still glitchy). I imagine Microsoft could fix these glitches if they put some effort into it. If not, I might just start editing my .docx files on Google Drive...

It's okay. My biggest complaint is that when I correct something it deletes a space, add an extra letter to the word, combines words randomly, or it will add a word I had wrote previously into a random place in the text. It's really frustrating as it sometimes gets worse the more I try to fix it. I have to hit 'space' before I correct anything. It seems to keep the random text jumping at bay for the most part. But it's still incredibly annoying.

the app is as easy to use as the full program. i use it only as a word processor and it works great! other programs i have tried on my android tablet all have a lag issue, this does not, and using the program is intuitive. some of the less useful things are not included in the app, but that is fine, because i usually don't need them for writing stories. it's awesome, and free!

In all honesty, this is just an OK app. WPS Office is still a much better mobile document editing app/program and is much less frustrating to use. But I keep coming back to MS Word because I'm currently paying for the subscription. 😩 But using it drives me crazy because it doesn't know how to properly display a page; the font is either super zoomed out or shown at actual size which is fine for a PC screen but NOT on a phone screen!

In what world is Microsoft Word useful or "optimized" for Samsung Dex? Honestly, this app is disgraceful and is useful for nothing more than incredibly light document editing and mobile viewing of documents. I primarily use Samsung Dex (Tab S6), and I can assure you Word is no better than using the app "unoptimized" for Dex. No highlighting with a mouse. Inconsistent nav bar. Atrocious table formatting. Just skip this app for mobile aside from viewing. You ain't getting serious work done with it

Generally, Outlook works well across my desktop and phone. There are a few glitches. For example, my contacts don't move easily between platforms. Secondly, the calendar doesn't initially come up as an option when making an appointment or setting up a meeting. However, inspite these cited issues, the phone version works well, and saves some of the kludgey work around necessary before the calendar integration.

I use this app on my phone for school purposes and the app can be inefficient at times. When trying to type in certain areas, the app will zoom me all the way out from where I was, or will bring me to another area of the document I was not trying to edit. This problem also occurs when I'm using the zoom feature to Write with Pen. While it's convenient to do work on my phone, the issues have caused the app to stop working multiple times.

I use Microsoft Word a lot because I'm a college student, and I do like this software. However it has quite a phew bugs; such as when scrolling through to pick a particular font. It goes all the way back to the top for no reason and I have to keep scrolling down untill it sticks. Also saving takes forever. I have cleared all my cache and other papers to see if that would help but it has not. Even for short papers it sometimes takes a long time to save.

Wish there wasn't so many problems with just trying to get into Word to simply use it, and to finish by saving a document. Stupid on how they programmed it to always verify who you are, and then trying to save to my Google Drive is frustrating and ridiculous. It shouldn't be such a hassle, even when I use Word all the time. You'd think every time I open the app, it was always the first. It just isn't user friendly at all, and I feel bad for users who don't know their way around this mobile app.

I do all my college work on word and as of now for a couple months I've only had access to my mobile phone to do any work and every time I submit my work either in normal format or phone format it comes up as being messed up in font size and structure of paragraphs. But other than that it is wonderful and would recommend to anyone don't get get me wrong. Not a human is perfect but we can help make things we create as perfect as they can be.

The app does lack some of the features from the version on the computer. Some of these are really annoying, especially not having title page formats. I'm trying to type a paper for my class and a nice looking title page would be great but nope, they don't have it. Another thing that's annoying is the fact there is no "online pictures" you can insert or even graphs. Like come on you have charts, why can't you have graphs too? Its just really annoying that they don't have the same features 😒

I haven't yet used this as much as I would like, but what I have so far I've enjoyed it. Getting a new phone with more internal memory will make a difference with Microsoft office, accessibility to all its products. Word has been good for writing poems, songs & stories, excerpts from my novel. I can use text to speech, a plus due to my osteoarthritic condition. I think it's a great app!

I love Microsoft Word, and this is an extremely capable mobile version! You can do so much on it! Does it have every single feature of the full version of Microsoft Word? No. But it's pretty dang close to having them all. It even has the capability to insert headers, endnotes, footnotes, page numbers, equations, comprehensive shape editing features, and so much more! I absolutely love this app! If you love Microsoft Word, then this version will absolutely hit it out of the park for you!

I was a WordPerfrct holdout for years, but eventually you have to settle down and focus on familiarity and productivity. It's almost too feature rich for a humble journalist, so I have to occasionally give up on my work to learn a new shortcut. The learning is piecemeal and the progress is incremental, but once learned the payoff is worth the trouble.

First experiences count. Before I can edit a document that is saved to my hard drive, Word requires me to re-save the document to the hard drive (or anywhere) before proceeding. Ridiculous. Second irritation: the app has limited fuctionality. Should I desire to use the more robust browser version of Word, I must DELETE the app from my computer so that Office cannot continue to default to the app in spite of choosing to "open document in browser".

I have been using this app for a while now. I do love that I can use it on multiple devices and keep it all pretty nicely synced. Sometimes it is a challenge using the app on the go but for a quick invoice or receipt it works well. I also love that I can edit a document and send it from my phone rather than having to break the entire laptop out. Occasionally, I do have an issue with documents syncing or even finding them. My laptop will log me out if I'm not careful which makes the app act up.

Although the app is not the most user freindly app that I've experienced, and won't let me delete files from my phone, I have a great appreciation for it, and it is still one of my favorite apps. I am an online student, so there are times where I need to access Word to do homework away from home. I am super thankful for that. Not to mention, I can still change fonts, spacing, and indentation like I would with Word on my laptop/PC.

For the most part I like it. However, there is one feature I dislike about all MS Word products for several years now. It's the standard setting of double spacing whenever enter/return is pressed. It is very annoying. I only want that to happen maybe about 10 percent of the time. It only takes a fraction of a second to hit the enter/return key twice but it's annoying that it takes much longer to change it. Also, changing it it to no spacing doesn't always stick if you make other changes.

Surprisingly poor usability. Functions well enough, although it is difficult to properly utilize the various functions due to the button placement. Continuously, I accidentally hit the scroll bar, throwing me into a whole different page of my document due to its positioning right where a standard right would continually touch the screen with their thumb. The ability to turn the scroll bar and the text editing bar while is above the keyboard off temporarily would lead to a 5 star review.

This product could be better. I love using word on my laptop and I really want to work on my projects on my phone. I have a Galaxy S10 and the app does load fine. I hate the way it tries to take keyboard away randomly or not bring it up. It's not that great with voice commands, when I try to say "new paragraph" It doesn't do anything just puts squares. Then all the sudden it will jump to a whole other page and I have to scroll try to find where I was. That's irritating! Maybe they'll fix this!

You haven't lived until you've built a resume using this program on your cell phone...opaque windows pop up in front of what you're doing no matter which way you turn your phone, if you're lucky enough to get it to reliably remember the keyboard when it's time to type, it covers the whole screen of your project anyway. Historically, Word (among others)seems to know what you want to select because at the last letter it goes crazy and just selects random things! "What are you doing, [email protected]#$%WHY

I have to reinstall regularly. It steps on its own memory which renders editing impossible, especially the DRAW function. Reinstall and deleting the document storage clears up the problem most of the time. Irritating Update 2 days later: Why do I always return to the 'rate the app' screen? It's just as bad as was yesterday and the day before. Whoever wrote the most recent updates needs to find a new profession. They are incompetent.

This app is much worse than the original desktop version. I edit documents frequently and it always glitches. I try to type in one spot and it jumps to another. This really makes my work much more difficult than it should be.

Great app. I can work on my essays and assignments wherever I go, and seamlessly continue it on my computer, or print straight from my phone. I have had a couple issues with it suddenly giving me a blank page, mid paper... but I just close it and reopen and everything is there. It's not a big enough inconvenience to even make me drop a star in the rating. As a full-time student - I can't live without this app working so well!

Very handy when you want to jot down notes. When you download the actual app(s) from your registration, you get the full programs. If just used in "mobile mode" to use as a text file to jot things down or save pictures in .docx format then that works too. You just can't go wrong with Office Products. OneDrive I think is a favorite among millions, if not more, as a result of storage space and tight security. That's definitely one of my favorites as well, along with Word and Excel.

No way to turn off auto-correction of i to I (among other things). I have fixed my keyboard by turning auto-correct off, but according to Microsoft's official website there is no fix for the bug within this app. Horrible "feature." I desperately do NOT want my work "proofed." Just let me get rid of it! Even changing the proofing language does nothing. Why would anyone pay for this? I certainly never will.

The current update seems to have remedied the issue of not being able to edit files made with the prior version. I still have many older files that I have to work with, but the "save as" function doesn't work, which should allow me to save as an updated version. In order to use any files made with the older versions I have to copy its content and paste it to a newly created file; an annoying and time wasting process. It makes any other conveniences worthless. AT LEAST FIX THE "SAVE AS" FUNCTION!

I was taught to touch-type when I was 14. When I began to practice law, I preferred typing my own document drafts rather than dictating them for my secretary. So I 'grew up' on a stand-alone Xerox word processor, then a program by a friend on my RadioShack TRS-80, then WordPerfect and others. Then Word! In the last 30 years, more or less, Word has been what I knew I could rely on. Today, across three platforms, I still much prefer and trust it over any other program, free or purchased.

So far so good, I'm able to access my files, but for some reason when I go to print it everything that's on the right slides to the left. You're unable to use the feature to tab over.I know it's a work-in-progress but if you could fix that that would be awesome cuz I don't know what to do when I have to print out legal documents and they're all messed up. And they look fine before I hit print.

Word is so buggy on my Samsung Chromebook Plus v2. Word constantly freezes for 1-2 seconds and the cursor jumps around. Also the toolbar at the top is a watered down version of the toolbar on other OS's which does not include many needed options such as inserting symbols. It does not even allow you to select boxes of text by clicking and dragging. I use Word for everything on Windows, but I am now uninstalling it on Chrome. Perhaps Microsoft intentionally made the Windows experience better.

I hate to complain, because it might just be the best Word Processing app out there. But, there are innumerable problems with the interface - especially manipulating/dragging the cursor for editing. Also there are periodic discrepancies in template formatting, indentions, margins and paragraph spacing. All in all though, it gets the job done. And, as I said, it probably is the best mobile word processor out there. I'm sure that with time and updating the devs will get all of that fixed.

Works great for mobile. I was pleasantly surprised. Lots of little features that make it much more usable on Mobile. Favorite part is that it seamlessly worked between mobile and my desktop. I was able to start a document on mobile send it to desktop for editing & finish touches and return to mobile to make up dates. I was also able to add screenshots from my phone onto the document without having to look up how to do it. It stays true to the deskT version so the learning curve was minimal.

This app functions well there are just two qualities that I dislike. First, all of my papers must be written in MLA, so I have downloaded the Times New Roman font, however, every time I need to use it (which is quite frequently), I have to scroll for a minute to find it. I wish it was easier to access. Secondly, the app frequently closes on its own. Although my work is saved, I don't appreciate the mini heart attack I go through every time that happens.

It is virtually useless to try to edit a complex document with this app. Editing in a block of text that's also commented on? Impossible. Trying to add a word into the middle of a sentence? Arguable harder. If I wanted to write stream of consciousness without the ability to edit, I could use the Notes app preinstalled on my phone.

Microsoft Word has been my "go to" editor for decades. I've not always liked the updates and changes in the Word applications, but they have been easy to understand and have been adaptable to my needs as an author. To this day, Word integrates almost seamlessly with the publishing platform(s) that I use. How happy I have been when Word for mobile devices began to be available, as when my computers have given up the ghost, as it were, my work did not suffer much. Keep up the good work, Microsoft!

There doesn't seem to be a 'save' or 'save as' option on the menu. I figured out by chance that if I just close the document it will save it. But then I have to go back and rename the document (from doc1 to the name I want it to have). This is a little awkward. In fact I find the whole menu a little confusing - unlike the computer version of WORD which is pretty easy to figure out in most cases. But, I am very glad to have WORD on my smartphone.

It's trying really hard to be as good as Google Docs. It deserves points for trying. Selecting text reliably and precisely is a feature they should prioritize. Going back to change a word is difficult because it "helpfully" tries to jump to the end of the word or autocorrect. This problem is magnified when fighting with the Microsoft SwiftKey keyboard. Finally, it frequently loses your position in the document jumping around 1000+ words at a time and losing most recent position when resuming.

It's just about perfect. I love the options. A couple reasons I wouldnt give 5 stars... Something to consider is that a vast majority of your users are writing on their cellphones. Moving that cursor is a serious challenge, and quite frustraring - if Word had it's own keyboard that included a directional arrow so we could move the cursor by hitting a button...? Also, its a writing tool - why do we have to tap the pencil at the top in order to write? That seems like a waste of time and resources

This app is good. I am now able to compose a letter whereas in 2017, I could not. However, the glitches involve tabbing, applying bullets and line spacing to a document. I like the app, and it definitely outperforms Google docs, but nothing seems to work properly on my Chromebook. Text loads very slowly, and I can type much faster, apparently, than this program can process what I'm typing, so I often have to stop and wait for the words to appear on the screen. The command icons are not in their usual locations and can be very difficult to find. Selecting text to move or delete is difficult--but occasionally whole paragraphs just vanish. Needs improvement.

Though this will let me view documents that I have installed onto the internal storage, it does not however allow me to view the whole document. If I try to read a text document, many of the passages and sometimes even full paragraphs are entirely missing. I have reinstalled both this app and my documents many times with the same results. I cannot enjoy using an app that only allows part of my documents to be shown.

Great to be able to use Word when not at my desktop. Takes a minute to figure out where all the tools are, but as far as I can tell, they are all there. Being able to edit documents and share them is pretty darn handy. It's a little clunky, but I think that's just my familiarity with using this on a desktop rather than my phone or tablet. Overall I like the app. It saves your work automatically, which is a life saver. I have lost work before when an app either failed to save or the app had a technical failure. It can be a little difficult to navigate through when attempting to write, with all the different options. The screen movement is a little awkward. When moving to the top or bottom of the document the app can be a little difficult to manage, at times. Sometimes it will just run to the top. Overall, the app works well.

This app is the phone version of Microsoft Word (just a condensed, to the point version). The best features are the amount of different fonts (a TON of them...the same as Word on pc, maybe even more) and that it easily prints from your phone, with a print preview option, just like you're using your computer! So glad I tried this!!!

It had potential. Microsoft Word had a great interface, but I had problems with the app itself. The process of being able to edit without internet should have been implemented. I respect your work making a free application, but I still think it still needs work.

It is not as user-friendly as I would like. I added the app in order to draft longer pieces that I could then copy and paste into other venues. The cut-and-paste functions are tedious and time-consuming. "Undo" functions are difficult to find, and commonly used formatting found in MS Word on larger computers makes creativity a challenge. As a result, this app has been a disappointment to me!

Using word on a chromebook sucks. They really need to upgrade the app so that students such as myself don't have a hard time navigating. There's so much that you get on a regular desktop that is not available in word on a chromebook. Like c'mon guys, at least add a function to make the document double spaced! Having to go back and fourth through operating systems just to do that is exhausting.

It is not a good substitute for Word, which is very disappointing, considering this is from Microsoft. First, the UI is different from the local Word programs, and it is infuriating that Microsoft has failed to standardize this for the last 20 years. Second, it doesn't appear that all the feature sets are in Office 365 local are in the Chrome App. Clearly, Microsoft is not interested in supporting Chromebook users.

I do like the app, it's just a little difficult to get thru it. When in a blank document is difficult to find all the tools, ie. copy & paste, inserting text or gifs, attaching documents, getting back to a key board. This is especially difficult on my smart phone, Galaxy S9+, I understand it's a small screen, I just wish it could be easier to navigate. Other than that, a great app and asset to have on your phone.

Talk to text typing in Word.... Need I say more?? Well I will! It autosaves often, and when you close the app and come back to it, it asks if you'd like to pickup where you left off, then takes you right to where you were last editing. Awesome app, you need it. Seriously, I've never "typed" so fast in my life. Being able to hear the words outloud as im "typing" out my train of thought has always helped me, and not having to focus on the actual typing helps me to focus even more on what im saying

If you like being forced to sign into an app so you can use it And be attached to "services" this is the app for you. I also founf the interface clumsy and the spacing to wide between lines and there was too much white space at the margins. Not practivle for maximizing text efficiency when taking notes. Quick Office was simple and better. I'd still be using it if wasn't glitchy on my new phone.

I use my tablet with keyboard for my school work. One of my courses is Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point. I have downloaded 2 of the 3 apps to complete my lessons that are required. These apps are missing some of the features that the Word and Excel actually have. For example. There is no place to utilize symbols, or utilize replacing with in the documents. It makes it more difficult for me to actually complete my course work missing some of the main features of the actualy software.

Useful but not like original Word. It can be very difficult at times. I had to use this because my laptop crashed, so I bought a Chromebook. It will let you type and do the basic things you would want to do with a word processor. However, the app is very difficult to use compared to the easily accessibl features of regular Microsoft Word for a standard laptop or desktop. Disappointed that Microsoft did not spend more time and effort in developing this app.

Worst writing app ever. I have to repeatedly log into Microsoft to open files I wrote and saved on my tablet. I have two different accounts with Microsoft 365, and neither of them will stay logged in. Seriously, I can write a paragraph and I will have to log in again. On top of that, the features you would want from MS Word are the editing and markup features, and they don't work worth a damn in this app. Sticky Notes or literally any other typing app would be better than this version of Word.

Good and does what it needs to. Only use it because it allows me to type as many characters as I need, unlike the "memo" or "notes" app on your phone. Sometimes Word is unreliable and won't work and it was extremely frustrating to make an account to use the app because it wasn't allowing me too. Kept saying my account info was wrong, cannot create account try later, etc. All kinds of issues just to be able to use the app. It lets you have a trial and make a few docs but have to reg after that

The "Pick Up Where You Left Off" button frequently does not show. When working on long documents, this is a real time-waster, as Word only slowly allows you to scroll to the bottom. It often takes me 5 minutes just to scroll to where I'm up to. Even worse, if I accidentally tap the screen wrong, it'll jump back to the top of the document and I'll have to start the whole process again.

The word application is great when it is operational. I will blame some on operator error, but thete is the program issue that will pop up when it will not open up word documents that I have written on my computer. This does not happen every time, but does seem to happen when i am trying to show somebody something. That in it self is frustating. The people at Microsoft work really hard at making a product i could never produce so i am really appreciative.

Not what I would have thought, not at all what I needed. Had a Redline document sent to me, all I needed to do was accept changes and paste text into an email. The App couldn't do it, or at least not any way I could find. Opened with another office app, but it imported all the text. Useless, completely useless. Have my windows laptop with me but no wifi signal to send. Serious lack of features that I would have thought Microsoft would have figured out.

This app does not scale on the screen properly, so when you open a document and it requires you to save a copy before you can edit it, after you navigate to the folder you want to have it in, you can not scroll the screen over to press the "save" button without putting your phone into landscape mode. It's an exercise in maddening frustration and is absolutely insane that this app would have this issue.

i just downgraded to two stars because 1: the screen constanly changes out of editing mode, or the top options screen disappears with no way to get it back. 2: if i move to another app real quick and come back within 1 minute, the app has closed the document and i have to reload it and scroll through 100+ pages again and again and again. There's no way i would pay for this now. it's acting like an app some guy made in his basement. not Microsoft.

I love the convenience of having Word on my phone. However, sometimes the Phone App's navigation seems to be an extreme challenge. it slows down the process when there aren't enough clear-cut instructions. You don't know what to do next and must re-discover or re-figure it out. Sometimes work gets lost or buried simply because there was no direction through the next step. That said... I still love the convenience of having Word on my phone and being able to use it on the go.

I like it, its very user friendly and allows you to access all your documents from anywhere. Its a mobile version of the Microsoft Office Word program that the majority of people today are familiar with at least on a basic level (I'm hoping it's safe to assume this, I didn't think statistical accuracy was necessary since that is way off track from the point of this review). you lose some features due to the simplification, but its an excellent app.

This app most of the time meets my everyday needs and more. There has been a few occasions where I've been in the middle of writing something. When I go back over to fix mistakes I have problems with the app glitching. It freezes on me. I am able to save my work back out and go back into my work to finish. I hope with time Microsoft can fix this. Other then that, I love Microsoft Word.

It's very hard to write on your phone in this app. I like having it for updating documents, but you have to click or hold-click for a very long time just to type. And then you have to press edit. I feel that you should just have to click the screen once and then be able to type. Long click for changing typing preferences. Also, scrolling is chaotic. If you scroll up or down just a little bit, you will fly 6 or 7 pages in either direction. I type in memos now & transfer, it's easier & that's sad.

I generally like the app. obviously it can't do everything the desktop version can but its great to be able to edit a document if my laptop dies or create something real quick in a pinch. However, i have been having a ton of technical difficulties and cant figure out why. It randomly deletes entire words or duplicates them, or my cursor jumps around a lot. when i go to edit a portion if the document, it will move paragraphs away. it's actually getting to the point that i may switch apps.

I was really impressed by the ease of use. Usually going from a computer platform to a phone app, the format tends to change automatically completely ruining the layout of the document, but this kept it the same across platforms. Very pleased! And the fact that it was FREE was a super added bonus.

Very much appreciated! I am a writer, in between hourly work, and recently, I finished a book. But while my editor and I are going over it, I needed a good writing program to do things like find/replace, and spell check... And this app is perfect for the job! It even includes a single-line indent feature! I would like to have started without opening an account, or be able to name a new document myself the first time. But nothing's perfect, and this is excellent!

Word definitely has the best available tools to write and edit documents. When it functions properly, that is. I've been working on a novel and it's really frustrating using word these days. The app automatically deletes words, rearranges them in a sentence, moves my cursor on it's own while I'm in the middle of a word, or won't load the entire document so that I can pick up where I left off. I really wish they'd fix these bugs because I love word.

I was highly interested in trying this MS Word app so I could work across laptop and phone platforms. But the phone app is very clunky and awkward to use. The menus are not arranged in a familiar way for those who know the computer software well, so you must relearn them here. And some formatting options appear to apply themselves at random without me telling them too, which is doubly frustrating: I didn't want it to happen, and I have to go to the trouble 2 figure out the correct menu 2 fix it.

Word has always been a very powerful app in any version. It has never been user friendly. It is difficult to select text in the app and it tends to jump around a lot. Worse it eats a lot of memory.it may have 100 mb when you install it and 600 mb of data a week later. This doesn't include your files because they are not stored in the app. This is irritating because you regularly have to clear the data. What is all this data it's storing on my phone?

I have been using this app on my Android phone for a couple of years. I've experienced problems with it being very slow regarding email. I send emails from my computer which are not received on the phone for 15 to 20 minutes. In addition it works very inconsistently. Sometimes a Word document will work fine while other times I have difficulty with spacing and need to send it to my laptop in order to make everything fit together perfectly. Word for Android is not user-friendly.

The app is awkward, getting confused it makes frequent changes that must be undone constantly. It will often close the document you're working on and then you'll have to start again. The lack of a proper keyboard to work with is just another setback requiring manual text manipulation. It works much better on PC - much!

I use Word for Android up on top of the roof to take dictate notes of construction observations. It works pretty well and it's nice that I can just copy those notes out and put them into the actual report document when I'm back in the office. I would say it would be nice if cutting and pasting was easier. it would also be nice if the scrolling could speed could be controlled because then I could use the actual form and I can feed the data into the appropriate cells of the table.

Makes me so mad, every time. Trying to use it for paperwork, filling in forms, and it fights me all the way. I hate how it jumps to the beginning of the row. And I hate that little button on the right side that takes me back up to the top of the document whenever I brush my finger in that area. So much time wasted, just trying to get to the right place. I hate its really poor integration with voice-to-text, always choosing the wrong words and capitalizations without offering any other options.

The point of having the word app and one drive is that it works across platforms and in the online tool the same way; however, formatting in Word differs from Microsoft's online app to the Windows Office installation to Android and Chrome OS Word apps. This is highly frustrating and means that it only makes sense to use the document on one platform and then create a PDF of it; if you send it to someone else, it may not look as you intended.

It can be a little janky, and difficult to navigate, as sometimes the keyboard is difficult to access, and because not all of the features exist on this that appear on word. However, it is great for the student trying to finish a paper while in class without a computer, or in stressful situations. I have used it to type multiple 10+ page papers.

The mobile version of Microsoft Word does what it should, but at its current state, it's completely overshadowed by my experience with Google Docs. I don't know how Google does it, but Docs feels marginally better than Word does on phones — from the UI to the gestures. An example would be Docs's navigation system. With Google, you can slide a bar and see when you pass headings and such. With Mobile Word, the slider just looks gross. I'm disappointed, since I mainly use Word on my computer.

Portable office! in this modern day, we are used to texting fast, therefore, this app is magnificent, once you get used to the toolbar, everything becomes simple. Been using Word for my entire life, but the application available for Chromebooks is barely usable. It freezes frequently, if I have a document open for too long the formatting options freeze and I have to force quit the application and relaunch if I want to use them, and sometimes even that doesn't work. I can't customize the font size, I'm limited to whatever they offer me. I would really appreciate a Word application that runs like the one I've used for the last 25+ years!!!

Super powerful with all of the essentials and most of Word's features for the desktop. Excellent use of ribbons to maximize screen space. I am so dissappointed!!! I wrote two novels with this app. By the time that I got ready to edit and submit them for publishing I could not get into my account. Thankfully I had sent one of them to my email. I thought that I had sent both but for some reason one did not go through. I loss 11 months of work! All that I had was notes and memory of my second novel to recreate it. It took me an extra 8 months to recreate my novel.

Generally it is easy enough to use, but I am getting so tired of the problems it causes me. It keeps changing my formatting and the words I am trying to type, at times adding things completely different than I am telling it to. It will not let me edit a document without first selecting the edit option, which is time wasting and annoying. But it is nice when I'm typing a long document that it will ask if I want to start where I left off and jump me to that point, which doesn't work all the time.

I appreciate the mobility, but there are tons of irritating unresolved idiosyncrasies and inconsistencies with this app. The weird zooming in and out for no apparent reason when tapping on text; the cursor tapping that does or doesn't select entire words, spaces, or parts of words regardless of where you tap; the change of access of menu options and icons depending on the direction your phone is held...it gets very, very frustrating, yet I tolerate the annoyances due to convenience.

Pretty good software. It can bring in documents off Onedrive and allow you to edit them. Its not full Word, but most the functionality is there. Main problems: large docs can be hard to search through as it doesn't have the navigation pane from full word, can get really slow when dealing with large files, files aren't on your phone which is a good thing unless you want to email them. Other wise, its Word.

The concept is great, however the execution isn't. While deleting a word, it may add an extra letter to the previous or may add a pasted phrase to it, causing me to delete more. This glitch can also repeat if you delete to the word behind it. Also, the font selection may sometimes be off. For example, I select forte as my font, it will select the one that is that is a couple fonts before or after. Please fix these issues.

A sorry example of how little time has been spent getting this going for android users. Tons of standard features missing (i.e., no paintbrush for copying styles, no typing to select font, formatting is a nightmare, etc.). Makes users struggle to get basic documents out the door. Even though I have the full version, this is like a lite version of the program. Adding that this has to be the worst app available; it's sluggish, very laggy, and frustrating to work with. Should pay me to use it!

I like the voice portion. It makes it easy for dissertation but it would be nice if it were able to capture punctuation. One area of improvement would be word comprehension for talked to text. Some of the words translate to something that wasn't even said. when your in a hurry, this can be a bit of a struggle. Great product overall!

Microsoft WORD, same as in the Original from 30+ yrs ago, works pretty well as an overall word processing program. I Use It Daily!! There are parts that make it easy to put out documents; other programs (more flexibly) create/publish data filled documents. Interface issues with MS Word are usually not a consideration. The "other guys," you gotta think about it!🤔

I used this app for a recently purchased chromebook. This app was an unfortunately awful experience. Extremely poor, overly simplified UI that doesn't compare to the real Microsoft Word. Features like the zoom function do not appear possible with a mouse (must "pinch" the touchpad like a smartphone), for example. On top of that, the app crashed in the middle of a paper I was writing (and one that I was saving), and I have been unable to recover the lost file. Only use casually or not at all.

The function to return to the last edited location upon opening a document has vanished. There used to be a blue box in the top right that would appear to transfer me. Now I'm forced to search for the recent location, which is tricky due to a bug that's been around for a while. When I search and then close out of the search bar, for some reason I'm sent back to the beginning. I have to edit the doc near the location I'm working on, close out of the search bar, then press undo to return. plz help

I am stunned at the number of positive reviews. Please remember you get what you pay for. This program costs nothing, and you get only slightly more than nothing. Especially in terms of a well behaved app with a truly effective interface. Don't bother inserting images, you will go crazy. Don't expect detailed/precise options for formatting text. Do expect it to crash, and that recent changes will be lost. One thing is clear - the developers who created this app obviously do not use this app.

Too many functions in the Android version of Word do not work correctly. Things just stop working for no reason. For me, it was the comments function. Suddenly new comments became impossible to add to a document. Then comments editing did not work properly, with text turning different colors that made it unreadable. I like Word a lot since it entered the modern era in about 2016. But it is almost unusable in its Android iteration.

Great adaptation for use with mobile phone. (Don't have a tablet.) BUT don't like expiration/renewal frequency of free version. That is insulting bc I am a fan and loyal user of MS Office, which keeps me away from switching to attractive Apple products. Also, I think it could be more efficient to bring docs into Word onto my PC. In general, are there shortcuts or syncs I'm missing? BTW, I do hope to get a tablet.

I downloaded this app on a Chromebook, and I have to say that it isn't the most accessable. The font sizes look smaller than they are on the page after you print, some of the options you would have on Word online you don't have on the app, and finally, it is always zoomed in a lot. Although, Word is extremely useful on most other devices. I don't mean to complain, especially when this app has helped me a lot for school.

Really a good solution for me. I have a Chromebook, a Windows 10 PC, and Android phone and tablet. Since the Chromebook (which is my GoTo most of the time due to its light weight, great screen, and long battery life) now lets you install and use Android apps, I get "MS Office 365 Anywhere". Word is still the best Word Processor out there and the fact that it does the editing in a local copy makes it really responsive even with a slow Internet connection. O-365 Excel and PPT also great!

I have had many challenges using the Word app (chromebook) for school papers. I always need to save my documents to a flash drive, open on a PC and edit formatting prior to submitting. Doesn't Work Well w/ Chromebooks. It doesn't have nearly as many features as the same program on another platform, and recently, the buttons are unresponsive. I love the functionality of this app on my phone. It goes beyond being able to download/create/print documents from my phone. I'm able to do complex editing, modifying forms, etc. I've completed 5-10 page edits and even documents from scratch. I like the mobile view option as well. I've had this app for about 3yrs. I cannot give it full stars because it is very low functioning at searching and inserting images/ pictures. you're also limited to the types of templates you can look up.

You are making things too complex. It is harder to find things (things are under layers of options; takes forever to find). It is harder to do things (spell check now becomes a grammatical nightmare of choices and decisions. Just let me spell check the darn word). I would like to give Word a higher score, but since the update, the only slightly better feature is a more attainable side bar for scroll. What I can't stand about this app, which was a problem even before the update, is while I'm writing, the scroll will take me to the top of the document randomly, very annoying and frustrating while writing over 30 pages... also, I cannot seem to log in and stay logged in. other than that I enjoy using app for creative writing.

Great app but your latest update in March of 2019 changed the way the mobile view looks. Made it far too narrow on the margins and I don't see a way to fix it back to where mobile view had the text covering from one side of my screen to the other. I liked it better when all the text ran across the screen. I don't want it as narrow as it is now. You need a setting like on the kindle app that let's you decide how narrow you want the margins or not for reading. Please fix this back to how it was!!!

I benefit from the app, but there is one feature that bothers me to no end. When I'm scrolling a long document by swiping a finger up way way too often my finger ends up triggering the pop-up scroll bar that allows you to move more quickly to another page, so I go from peacefully scrolling from page 71 to 72 to accidently going to page 12. It'd be nice if the scroll bar weren't activated so easily or if I could deactivate it. Thanks for the app, though.

A few yrs ago I downloaded this app having used MS Word practically since computers were invented. Despite the app being simple and self-explanatory, my main issue was w/ connecting to previously saved items. No matter how many times I uninstalled, reinstalled, used mobile data and/or Wi-Fi, rarely could I sync to any form of back-up (ie: Google 1, DropBox, Cloud, etc.). I'm hoping this issue has been fixed so I'm installing again, on a different phone w/ a different log-in. Wish me luck!

It's really good, but the functioning of it isn't and is finicky. I'm probably just not used to it still but it freaks out when you try to edit a new word doc while zoomed in. it's so difficult to get anything done in, the menu bars cove up 25% of the screen and expand even more, then the keyboard randomly pops up at times when you click stuff and is extremely annoying. it's made me mess up my documents many times and had to fix.

Word is a convenient mobile app. It far surpasses Google Docs, but is not a full featured app. It's formatting features don't compare to the desktop version, but will open and display documents correctly that were formatted on a desktop. You will not be editing with the speed you can on the desktop, but it allows you to create and layout your documents on the go.

While at times working on such a small space can be frustrating, the overall good of having this app supersedes that downfall. There are so many times where I have been on the road with a dead laptop and deadlines still looming, being able to use this app has saved me. You still get a majority of what the full program offers, so there's really no reason not to utilize an app like this. It's convenient, reliable, and efficient - everything you need for work on the go.

it works well for making notes and having things at your fingertips at the "spur of the moment." When you really want to write out the document properly you can transfer it to MicrosoftWord on your computer and use a full keyboard and have the full access to all the editing in highlighting that you could ever want. And this "transfer" ability...well, that is a really nice feature.

I like the convenience of the app. However, for me it is a struggle to transition from the PC format to the app format. The app format is like looking at a blank slate with no tool bar/tabs for font sizes, styles, paragraph set-ups, spaces, etc. at the top of the screen. I like being able to review my saved word docs, but they appear the spaces to be compress. I feel the more I use the app, I will be able to use and navigate without too much trouble.

Great app but the syncing is troublesome. App frequently thinks I'm offline despite having strong connection to LTE and/or Wifi. As a result, when I hop on my computer after working from my phone, the two are out of sync and I cannot get the app to recognize that I'm indeed online on my phone (and vice versa). I wish there was a manual refresh button or something of the sort that could force everything to re-sync.

this is one of the worst apps ever. it doesn't work well with Chrome OS at all. Delayed and slow reaction to anything typed or clicked, few options that you can't even do normal things in word, like make the graph lines invisisble. I mean there are no options to change any format really. I can't even say you can use this to type becuase it's so slow. I have to press the space bar or enter to actually see anything typed or changed. I absolutely hate this app, and I hope they change it

Good for writing books, poetry, resume, school reports and so much more. The ability to insert pictures and also websites with info into your text are just a few cool things you can do. It's an overall great app with no major issues I've come across. *What I'd like to see is- the ability to save my work to Google Drive and the second copy gets the ability to have a name change and/or save that new change separately from the original.

Great when using on a basic laptop. Able to create lots of documents for various occasions. Would have given a 5 star if using on a chromebook wasn't so difficult. Lots of options limited and printing options are scarce ase well. Love that it is auto-saving as I go. Easy to pick up where I left off if I step away from it for long periods of time.

I wrote a whole introduction to an essay I needed for school but had to get off for two minutes. When I came back I went to open the file back up the and system had lost it completely. How? I have no freaking idea but it was a real set back. I've used this app before to back up other files. Never have written anything in it until now. Just stick to PC. The app is unreliable.

I've used Microsoft Office for years and years at work. This version on my tablet is awesome as I don't have to learn new software for docs, spreadsheets, etc. Auto save is nice, but I often find myself doing an explicit save anyway out of habit. Microsoft has done a great job emulating their desktop suite on the web. Kudos!

downloaded the app today. not happy with it. not user friendly for android device. text is extreamly tiny. try to zoom in/out to read the text and the pages jump all over the place. very frustraitng. also spell check could be better. same word misspelled in multiple places but will only correct the one time and have to continue searching for every time the same word is misspelled to correct it every time instead of correcting all of them at once.

I am a long-time user and fan of Word with the exception of AutoCorrect. It's horrifying to be typing up something like a recipe and watch Word think that a partial word related to food is something entirely different. This is a writer and an editor's nightmare. I'm fine with running spellcheck after the fact, but I'm a fast, accurate typist, and so the occasional typo can wreak major havoc when AutoCorrect gets hold of it. The tough part is I can't find in the app where to turn it off!

Can't log into my onedrive account on this app. When I do, it tells me my session has expired, but when I click that text to go log in again, it tells me I can't add another onedrive account. After much frustration, uninstalling and reinstalling and a fruitless conversation with microsoft support, it's time to kick this app to the curb.

This works fine as a file viewer, but is absolutely worthless for editing. The program asks for you to log into your account REPEATEDLY when opening a file from drive, and seemingly does nothing and provides no feedback. In the off-chance that you can open a document, it often won't let you edit. And, if you can edit, it's anybody's guess whether it's saving. Sure, it will TELL you it's saving, but it doesn't actually do so. It appears to be caching copies that may or may not be saved.

Not like using Word on a laptop or desktop computer. The app has lots of bugs that need fixing. It jumps around in the document. It freezes often. It zooms in and out when I don't want it to. When I backspace something, it will jump to somewhere else in the document and backspace that. I do not have these problems with google docs. I have tried this app on several devices and have the same problems. Not sure if I will continue to use it if these problems don't get fixed soon.

The bugs when trying to "write" (app calls it "drawing"?! so that took a while to figure out), "draw" then switch to page for spanning and zooming then switching back to "draw", and especially when trying to do all that in horizontal screen view (you'd think this would be easier, but nope) are REALLY annoying. It took me 45 mins to do a 5 min job. I also decided it was quicker to just deal with vertical screen view. However, thank goodness you can use black ink! Polaris only has RED available...

The App has some minor limitations from being on a phone and small screen, but that is due to the device not the app. This App works great and allows seamless transition from my PC Word files to mobile. I also use the Excel App. I find the mobile versions best for referance and annotations, while I would still rely on PC for heavy drafting and editing.

Clunky and hard to use A necessary program as Google Docs is so limited for real writing. it is awkward, however. Many of the options and buttons are either buried in poorly thought menus, or they are missing altogether. Saving ks not intuitive either, and ther is more work than necessary to figure out where things are. It is also awkward to edit requiring extra steps to write or edit in a document, or reflow it, even if you own it.

Great app and really useful. Would be better if it wasn't tied to just Office 365. If you are paying for another version of Office (pro for example) it would be great to sign in with that and still be able to use the full features of the mobile app. Why pay for a subscription of one version for the computer when you need to pay for a full feature version of the app, too?

Loved the product, but now it is near unusable due to a scrolling bug. When in mobile view, I try scrolling through a document to get to where I need to work when it suddenly snaps back to near the top without any sort of warning. There seems to be no way around this. Thought I fixed it by resetting the app, but the problem came back about 10 minutes later. This has been a problem for months and when I contacted support back in November 2017, I never heard back from them.

I used to like it, but it crashes on startup and I have to reinstall if I want to use it. I could have sent an email to Microsoft, but they should have caught this issue before they released the update that caused this issue. It didn't do this before and it happened to many others online also after the update. Fix it and update it again please.

Let me put it this way...uninstall Googld Docs, or disable it if it is hard installed and you aren't familiar with removing apk's on your phone that were preinstalled. This is the real deal when it comes to office software. Unlike Docs, it can be backed up on to your SD allowing for more free space. On top of that: in conjunction with One Drive, this app is blatantly more efficient at collaborative work and doesn't have cumbersome lag in updating each person's side.

Every time a new version is released, Word becomes more difficult to use! With the version for Mac, I can't have the top menus I rely on always visible. When I select a tab, all the other top menus tabs disappear and I too often have to quit Word and sign back in to resurrect the top menus tabs. It's inefficient, annoying, and a waste of time!

A lot of functionality for a free version. Because it's the free version some things you want to do you have to connect to your computer and do it with the full Word version, but for free that's okay. It's also great for working with PDFs . The worst thing is that it is constantly capitalizing words for no apparent reason and doesn't know English grammar very well, so you're constantly making these minor corrections.

Very disappointed in this app. I loved using the Microsoft programs for any and everything, but this version of Word is so frustrating and a waste of my time. Every time I try to open a new document, it tells me to sign back in, but when I try to sign in, it states that I can't add another OneDrive account, which is not what I'm doing. I've tried resetting Word like it said, but I run into the same issue.

Platform: Galaxy Note 8 I have tried several free document writing apps to edit the most demanding of documents, The Resume. None have every formatting option I'd like (let's be honest, I have "tendencies"), but MS Word comes close. Though not optimally executed, I really appreciate the inclusion of letter and line height formatting. The app losses 2 stars for not including what I feel to be essentials in a document editor, a visible ruler and ability to set tab stops. Even with these glaring omissions, I will continue to use MS Word for my phone based editing needs

The app is very cleanly made and easy to use, although if you want to do something more complicated than write or highlight (such as make a page break or track changes) it's not on the toolbar; you can search for them easily with a search bar, but you sorta have to know that they exist. Wish that you could look at multiple documents simultaneously on the app, but you can't do that on many writing apps.

You need to install an "UNDO" Button so when (for example) you use the '=' sign underneath a heading to separate it from the rest, and WORD auto-fills the equal sign all the way across the page, you can "undo" it if you don't want the auto-filled resulting line break. An UNDO Button would make things go a lot quicker if you need to change a mistake made while creating a doc. Also, what about directional ARROW Buttons for easier negotiation. The right hand slider only gets you from one page to the next. But getting to an exact line of text in the middle of the page can be difficult; often the page jumps back to the top or even the beginning of the doc while using my finger to navigate to a specific line. Directional buttons would make navigating so much easier to zero in on a wrong letter in a word or a line of text in the middle of a page.

I understand that with a chromebook, certain apps just won't work with my laptop. I also understand that Google and Microsoft are at each others throats right now. But, I can't understand why the Microsoft apps such as Word and One Note, crash and also cause my laptop to restart itself. The apps are updated and so is my laptop, I've had numerous problems with this app in the past even on my tablet and phone. But, for my chromebook It's probably the worst.

Word for Android allows you to view and edit documents and save them to OneDrive and SharePoint, or share them via email or SMS. It works really well as long as you don't have complex editing needs. That is, don't expect the full desktop app experience on mobile. As long as you have realistic expectations for what the mobile version can do, you'll be pleased.

The app is terrible, it's taking me a half hour to edit words in my document because this is are jumping g all over the page, I hit the cursor button and the keyboard will not even pop up, I am trying to select a paragraph and a edit bar is in front of it so I can't select and the when I try to select it does all kinds day of other stuff because there are too many things going on at once, it should be more like the desktop program, I have been working on a 2 page document for 30 minutes trying to edit

This app has really pulled through in a pinch. I've had to use this app several times when I was away from the office to either view and edit a document, or begin the outline for a project. The ability to use word on a smartphone and access the speak to text feature gives its users the ability to speak their mind while they're doing other tasks and have the phone do all the writing for them. once it's s saved to the cloud or whatever service you use you can edit and format on ATC. If used appropriately this app is a great resource in conjunction with the full Microsoft word desktop product.

Very frustrating. To create a new doc on my tablet, I have to sign in to Microsoft oneDive. When I try to sign in I get a message "Can't add another OneDrive account." I don't want to add another account, I just want to sign in. The only option seems to be to go to settings and erase all data and reset the account.

Never has issues before until tonight. I've had to uninstall it twice. It either as me edit a doc or it doesn't show the edit option, depends on how many times I open a doc. When I go to highlight a word to delete or add a comma before it, the doc just scrolls to the top. It's frustrating. I don't know what's going on with the app.

As much as Microsoft Word is okay for office work, Microsoft Word .docx format should be a little more universal. Microsoft Word is such a horribly clunky application and doesn't work nearly as nice as the rest of the alternatives that are available. Printing is broken, views are broken, takes forever to load.... and I'm using high end devices. I hate that Microsoft makes the format not properly readable in other applications.

Useful app for mobile. Easy to navigate and simple to use. It has a small nice selection of templates, which was very helpful for my personal needs, however I kinda wish it had a little more. I used this to make a resume to be emailed with good results. I do wish it had that helpful little paperclip guy though. I didn't really need him but I grew up using Word on PC and I miss that little dude. I love the autosave feature and the ease of editing once it's been saved. And the ease of switching from a zoomed in easy-to-read format to a view of what it looks like if printed is excellent. I would give 5 stars if it had the paperclip guy.

There's an issue with the font Times New Roman and possibly others. It cannot be established within the text. It goes to Shruti (spelling may be incorrect), and I have to uninstall and reinstall the app for Times New Roman to go through. The clouds for downloading them comes up right next to the name but it doesn't download the fonts.. strange

Just one update bug, Times New Roman selected shows some other font. Otherwise, it has really been so useful, especially to speak to on the go. I do have to correct what say, but, I can get some thoughts down quickly to clean later. I can edit completely within this app or edit and print from another device.

This is a glitchy, buggy, poorly designed mess. Footnotes are an absolute nightmare in this app, and merely writing a paper is exceptionally difficult, with the ill-placed page scrubber constantly being tapped and sending the user to a different part of their page. The cursor is difficult to line up, and it is frustrating that the keyboard disappears every time you change apps, and doesn't pop back up until you click on a different character tab what you were on. This means that if you alt tab, you have to misalign your cursor to get the keyboard back, then you have to go back to where you were writing. Without arrow keys it is almost impossible, and it slows the workflow to a grinding halt. All in all, this is pure, utter garbage considering who developed this app. This is a lazy effort on behalf of Microsoft to try to reclaim the sales of what opensource publishers have perfected for free. Disgusting.

So far only 2 problems I have with this app. One is that often the "autocorrect" creates amalgamations of words whether i was trying to type them or not, doing so even when I'm trying to correct the amalgamations it "autocorrects" new ones. The other is I've noticed that the shared "viewable/editable" versions tend to be missing the images embedded into the document. Makes it hard to visualize things that haven't been described without the images.

This app is not worth using because it corrupts files with no solution. I just lost 3 solid months of work on a novel and even though I linked OneDrive and chose autosave no backup was saved. The app is easy to use but I wouldn't use it for anything important or long documents. I called for support and no one has any solutions. I was told the app was not supported to recover corrupted files. I e-mailed for support and got an u monitored account auto response. I pay almost $11 a month to use this software and it fails to recover corrupted files or give me access to temp files just like Office always does. The program shouldn't be made or cost money if it lacks security. Use for quick documents only! BEWARE!

A functional and reliable Microsoft application. Microsoft Word has come a long way and does provide a lot of great features for ascribing things. An has shown a consistent pattern of improvement and innovation. While the chosen direction of certain innovations could indeed be debated. Well done Microsoft!

I had been using this just fine on my Chromebook ( ACER: Model Coral) with assignments for school. Now I can't even edit things: no fonts, no font sizing, bold/italics/underline, etc.. I've gone ahead and cleared my cache, I've deleted the data, even uninstalled and reinstalled. This application has gone to the dumps, what gives Microsoft? Fortunately, my desktop is able to fill in the vacuum, but I WANT something portable that I can produce and edit with. Very dissatisfied.

VERY watered down version of Word, even with Office 365 subscription. No ruler, no tab stops, no text boxes, no table of contents. Allows insertion of pictures, but only at left margin; to move them you must hit space bar repeatedly. Most annoying feature is default setting of Calibri 11 with 8 point spacing after each line. You must manually change each document to get single spacing. And once your letter is complete, you must handwrite your envelope, because envelopes are not supported in Office 365. Not worth the $7 month subscription rate. Google Docs gives you all those features and many more for free. I don't know how Microsoft plans to move people to their subscription model by taking away important features.

Absolutely terrible. Need to use the Word app on my Chromebook — neither Google Docs nor Word Online are an option, because I have to have access to the Track Changes feature — and every time I open it, it crashes five seconds later. I've tried restarting and Googling for help to no avail so far. Not sure how I'm going to complete this project now, short of buying a new computer. Microsoft has been stealing billions of dollars while churning out shoddy products for decades. Burn this garbage company to the ground.

A good full featured implementation that is completely user hostile if you don't wish to use Microsoft OneDrive for document storage. If you want to store on your device, that's not the default. If you want to store on the cloud somewhere other than the Microsoft empire - say, Google Drive - I don't recommend this app.

I LOVE THIS APP! It saved me so much time in college. If I ever had a paper to write but wanted to go out, I could type on the car ride or while waiting in line at Disneyland! It really is so convenient to be able to use Word on the go. It can also sync to your onedrive so you can view the document on your PC later.

The problem with this app is that it is based on the printing paper size and it will not size up properly on the display at all. It keeps zooming in and out whenever you put the keyboard away and you cannot read it. And it floats around on your screen instead of staying put. There is a setting to make it stay in place so you can use it, but it leaves a half inch of white space on both sides of the screen, leaving not much of your own work to see. If they got rid of the white margins so you could use the whole display, it would be much more usable. It only saves as Word docs. It does not do HTML / view source. The toolbar at the top simply disappeared and it would not come back. After that I could not save anything. The bottom toolbar sits on top of your keyboard consuming display space while you are typing. After fidgeting with it for an hour, I thought I had it going in a way I could use it. Then I tried the spelling checker: I put in the word excellen and the spelling checker wanted to change it to excelled and did not even suggest excellent. My Google Docs would have gotten that right. So I uninstalled Word.

I don't really like MS Office, and finally got free from Windows(to an extent). I still use Office as it's mostly common in the business side. And I admit that there is much that is better in Office Word and other programs. but for the phone, tablet, or chromebooks it makes itself just about as annoying as it could be. The lack of features and harder to get to them. and my personal problem on a chromebook that it is fairly good when full screen, but if not it has to stay in the small shape as the phone screen. More features(as a full fledge program) and better window sizing on chrome devices, and it's 5 stars. Exel is the perfect example of lacking features, what a joke, I won't review it as I can't think of giving more than 1 star.

Pretty good, solid for keeping proper formatting between the app and the desktop version. The big flaw is navigation. I try to slide horizontally to the end of a sentence and nothing happens on the first three attempts; on the fourth attempt, the vertical scroll control gets activated and suddenly I'm on a completely different page. I try to use the vertical scroll to get back to the bottom of the document, but it only gets to the second to last page. It's extremely annoying. Google docs might not have as easy formatting tools as this app, but it's far easier for navigating the document.

Basically, the product I am familiar with, and love. My only complaint is thet the scroll bar is on the right, so when I am not intending the use of the scroll bar, and am trying to move up or down a small bit on a large document (using my right thumb), I may end up pages away. Every time it happens. I tell myself, use your left thumb... grrr
