I have created a profile but cant log in. When i try to log in it says there is an issue with my email and password. Then if i go to create a profile it says my profile already exists. I have typed it in correctly and still doesnt work. Deleted the app & reinstalled; still does the same.

Both my wife and I have tried several times to log in. It tells us we aren't registered, then when we try to register it says we are already registered. Super frustrating. We gave up and now we just book classes via the website.

🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯Aaah!!! This thing keeps stalling. When it finally opens, it wants me to confirm I am a member via email, ID ect... Then it just goes back to sign in or register.... Suck in infinite loop! Worked semi OK a week ago, booked classes etc. Uninstalled and reinstalled it. Still got me nowhere.. Extremely frustrating

It would be great if this App worked consistently. It either has trouble loading, or it freezes, or you can't login again. It's always something. Poor user experience.

Useless. Can't login. Use my old username and password and it tells me "login failed: please check your email and password" . I then teied reseting password and tells me "incorrect details: the details you entered are not registered for myVA. Try again or register" So I tried to register and it tells me "you are already registered. You have an account. Log in now to view". So? Do I have an account or not? Make up your mind!

Needs work. Make occupancy times easier to view, virtual cards and dashboards. Suggest even linking your health apps to the app for fitness tracking.

Gym visits are always incorrect! Not all gym visits are recorded. Very simple and not user friendly. Old app, few years back, was so much better.

Since I have downloaded the new app it has been very disappointing..I have tried many times to log in with my email and it says iam not registered..Before I enjoyed doing the online classes now I can't get into the app to do the online classes..Please fix.

The App does not work. It keeps stopping. Cannot do any online bookings as a result. This only started giving trouble when the Quest info was put on. Everything worked well before that. Very frustrating!!!!!

Nothing works. I can't reset my password - it doesn't accept either my email address, or my Id, or my membership number. When I try to register I can't complete the form because the dropdowns for birthdays doesn't work. Has this app been tested at all? Terrible.

Tried to log in, but forgot my password when I input either field it states incorrect information but when I try to register again it says I am already registered. It makes using the online platform much easier and the app redundant

I can't log in. I created a profile online but I have no password. And the app won't let be register a new profile- it says one exists- or log in with an existing profile, or reset my password (it says no password exists).

I tried to login, it tells me my password is wrong, tried to reset it and now it tells my my online profile has not been registered, i tried to register and it now tells me i have an online profile. I can logon to the website to book classes but not o this app. It is beyong frustrating as im trying to enter this quest challenge.

This app is really laggy. Some pages you can scroll for a long time and there's no end with just a blank white page. Visits seem like they are duplicated on my app. Everything is like all over the place and not in order. I don't know what each tab means or where to find information on a specific thing. Its not very user friendly at all.

App doesn't even get the login process right. Enter email. Enter password. 'Login Failed' go through forgot password schlep. Enter the same exact password for online login. It works. Useless frustrating app. 1 star.

This app is useless. I cannot view my visits on the app. Till the 15th of this month my total visits appear on the app but after that no reflections of visits. I phone the call centre and told me I must take a screenshot of my visits and emailed it to them. Done so but they can do absolutely nothing about it. They rather told me about online training but I am not interested in online training. What I want is that VA must display my visits on the app.

App does not work properly. The app does not record my visits. I checked with Virgin Active and all my visits do appear on the system, however they do not show up on the app. The app is also marking all Mondays as visited automatically, but still doesn't even show that in visit history. The contact details for the victory Park gym is incorrect. Other features work fine, like how full the gym is.

Even one star is more than what this app deserves. The app is unusable. Since it auto-updated, I get the red virgin background and then the error message "this app has stopped working." I uninstalled and reinstalled it and after logging in, got the same message. What pisses me off is that you guys had a damn good app before 2020. Why the HELL do you create another one that is in every way inferior to its predecessor? You should advance from strength to strength. This is just a step backward.

Since rejoining VA I have struggled with this app. I have reset my password twice already and either get membership expired or email/password fail message. I've used the app in the past with so much ease but this time you need to work on some serious fixes otherwise just scrap or reinstate usability online.

App does not work at all. You cannot log in or create a profile. I asked someone who worked at the gym about it and she said the app doesn't work. But sounds like it has not worked in a very long time. Nor does it seem like the problem will be resolved.

Tells me I'm not registered when I log in so when I create a profile it tells me I'm already registered so I get redirected,through the app,to their web and only then it works... And sometimes it doesn't even work... It's not really nice to have the app on your phone if you have to log in through the website (if you do the web individually it doesn't work either)

One of the worst apps ever. It never see to work, the "system" is always offline and is a complete waste of time and data. The only reason I'm giving it one star is because yo cannot give it anything less than that.

I don't remember my password. When I click on forgot password it asks for my email address and my ID no or membership no. But when I enter either of those options it says I'm not in the system. So I try to register as a new user with the same email address and details I've just provided and it tells me I'm already registered and need to login.

On my previous phone I managed to log in after several unsuccessful attempts. Upgraded my phone and now can't log in. It keeps telling me that I am not registered, I go to register again it tells me I already have a profile. I go to the web version - no problems logging in! Very poor experience

This app is terrible. I can not log in, I have to register every time just to be then notified that I already have an account. The classes do not update so I book classes that weren't available (only finding it out after arriving at the gym). These issues need serious attention.

Virgin active is very bad club to deal with. When I went to it with friend a greedy person from the staff asked me to do the membership while I don't have vitality. He told me we willl do it for you and then link it which makes me pay only 25%. after that I found that on my viitality app there is no gym member ship. I've been talking to them and trying to solve that for 5 months. they some one told me it's a system issue and there is no problem. today I see the whole gym fees was deducted with

My username and password are never recognised & I'm promoted to re-register everytime I try to use the app. After entering all of my details I get the error, 'the app is unable to handle this request' after submission.

It never seems to acknowledge my ID or membership number. I constantly have to sign up as a "new" user, and it never keeps me logged in. I end up resorting to the website where I also have to consistently re-enter all my details just to view a gym's timetable. So annoying.

Ridiculous that classes are listed on the App when the class is not happening. How poor is the app that it cannot be updated easily when a class is not available anymore. A few months layer and the app still shows classes that are not on. What a waste of time. Plan for a class, book, arrive and there is no class.

Still very unfuntional and annoying. Couldn't do something simple like update my address, and more importantly change my club. Can't even see what my current membership status is (club or national) as I don't trust customer service updated me correctly when I called.

Downloaded App as update. I cannot log in. I can log in via browser. The password reset 'feature' goes to a broken link. This way the app is totally useless. When logged in on the browser I can't see my visit history anymore. Now that's totally useless. It has been that useless for months now. Get a grip and get it fixed asap.

What a useless app!!!! I cannot even register a user profile as a new member! When I make that selection, the app hangs before returning an error message that says "site cannot be reached ". And I'm supposed to use this to book sessions at gym?? Guys, please get serious. Don't subject us to such unnecessary pain. Fix the app or pull it off completely!

This app has become absolutely useless. I can't even find my home club's number on it. I can't book anything and it is constantly offline. There is no way to book squash courts.

Not happy. The app just hangs, I cannot access my profile, and it won't even exit properly. I have to close it via the phone settings. Had to uninstall and re-install, and now I can't access my profile to reload everything that was on there to begin with. Very unhappy with this app.

I can't see access "account info" in the app. It looks like it is loading, but nothing happens. I tried to downgrade to apps that still worked, but as soon as I open them, I'm forced to update. Why not leave things that work, I don't understand. Don't launch a new app if it doesn't work. Look at all the 1 star reviews recently. Virgin Active, please hire new app developers.

If there was 0 or minus stars, I would have given it! The app hangs, the links in the app doesnt work. I have been trying to change my home gym and have failed to do so since July. Virgin Active has failed, again. The longest system down in the history of hacking. Cant believe in this day and age that you cannot get a simple app to work.

I have just joined VA last week and have been trying to register on APP ever since in order to book classes online due to COVID but keep getting the error code: THIS SITE CAN"T BE REACHED check if there is a typo in vasa-san-app-hip-prod.azurewebsites.netmember. DNS_probe_finished_nxdomain. Really frustrating. Not getting any help from the VA representative at the gym.

I recently joined the gym and the app won't allow me to register, first it gave the form to complete for new registration but then it couldn't pick up my membership via ID or membership number and now it doesn't even show the registration page when attempting to register. This makes the app completely useless at the moment.

Can't access the app. Always loading. Always needs an update which result in no changes. I've deleted and reinstalled the app about 3 times and still won't allow me to have full use of the app.

The app is virtually useless, in fact pathetic. You have to keep changing the password after which you are logged out. Works for short bursts. When trying to verify user name or answer security questions a message pops up saying you cannot be located on the system. Virgin has been taking my money for six years. App did in fact get better over time as experience in dealing with the pandemic improved.

The app generally works well, however with the latest update you can't view your activity time. It gives a summary of your activity but you can't track the length of time which was useful for earning vitality points as you have to complete 30min of activity per day, but you can't view that anymore as it used to tell you your completion percentage of the 30min, therefore this app only gets a 2 star rating.

Problem resolved : Workout videos don't load/stream. 25min run video stayed frozen after 8:18... Just did my own thing for 30min.... I might try the cycle video, it only needs to load for 15min... Not holding my breathe.

Since the cyber attack the whole customer service has declined. Debit orders are late, manual payments never acknowledged on my side, even the receptionist wasn't surprised at my dilemma of not being able to log in and book classes. This was particularly unexpected of this great company during a pendemic that needed digital intervention in maintaining order.

This app is always giving issues for logging in. It will log me off and then I am unable to log back on because it rejects my password, forcing me to change it, freezes upon changing passwords, then when I try to log in with a new password it starts the process over again.

The downtime issues is the worst I have ever experienced on any app. I wish Virgin Active will invest more effort in providing an app that actually works, let alone one with a decent user experience. As for that stick man, drives me insane! With all the side crunches it does, I'm surprised it doesn't have an 8 pack by now!

This app used to work so well earlier this year. Now it is constantly offline. I can't view bookings for classes, or online workouts, or club details, or anything. I hope it can be rectified soon since I used to love this app.

I could not see any class booking for weeks as I got the message "we are doing maintenance" ... I then logged off thinking when I logged in again it might work - I now can't access the app at all as it tells me I am not registered or my details are wrong. I try resetting my password and get the same maintenance error ... this has been going on for weeks now ... there's no point to the app seeing as nothing works. This also means I can't book any classes or even just see how busy the gym is.

I can't seem to book a class for a few weeks now. It says "We’re doing routine maintenance to ensure that this site runs smoothly. Please check back shortly". I've waited for over a week now and it's same issue. I've logged in, reinstalled the app however I have the same issue.

Keeps telling my credentials are incorrect or it cannot access bookings. The app needs better maintenance if it is to become the recommended platforms for gym bookings. Please look into the app glitches, i suspect people will just rock up at the gym and avoid using the app

Edit: I used to love the app. Now it's really slow, and the online workouts don't play on a full screen (the info bars at the bottom take up half the screen) Review from 2019: love the email reminders and updates to booked classes. also love the rating system.

Ive been trying for two weeks to just simply access the class timetable and book a class, and it cant even do that. Im highly annoyed as there are constantly issues with this app. One would expect a company as big as Virgin Active to be able to afford app creators that are actually capable of creating a functional app.

For what I need in the app it does not cater for my needs. I can't link my watch to record exercises, I can't manually add any activities like I was able to in the old app. Does not deserve any stars from my point of view for what I would expect from a exercise recording app.

Would be ever so helpful if you could add a virtual card feature to the app. Over the years (a good five years), the barcode on my physical card has decided to part ways and honestly, I would appreciate being able to use that card slot for something else.

I have never been able to log onto the app. Before the update, I sent numerous emails and was told a new app was being released in March. Its March now and I tried logging into the app. It still says my username and password is incorrect. I tried the log in without a password feature ( which is new), it says to check the link sent to your email. When I check my emails there is no email from virgin active, I have even tried checking under spam.

Not happy with the new App. The old version was way better and I used it all the time. Changing the whole look and feel plus features is just too much especially because it lags alot!

Worst app ever... Why did you upgrade the app if it is working worse than the previous version? It is always lagging... Today I cannot do an online workout. It says log out and in again. I tried that. Even uninstalled the app. Same message. And this after waiting a solid minute for each screen to appear!!! Did Covid not teach you the importance of a customer experience???

Horrible experience. It is super slow. I have been trying to logon since 5:40am and there is a stupid exercising little figure that womt stop. This is insane... the previous app worked wonders.

I have deleted and reloaded this app twice, but it does not recognise my email address or password. However, when I log onto the website, they are exactly the same ones I'm trying to use. Very frustrating!

It is now the 8th January 2021 and this app still doesn't work properly and I still cannot login with the correct password. If I supply the incorrect password I get a different error to when I use the correct password, so I know it's right. I've tried resetting password and that doesn't work either. I see many complaints about this exact same thing going back at least a year and it still hasn't been fixed? Your website is useless too. What is going on with your IT? This is shockingly bad.

Really poor service on the app. Most of the time the clubs and schedules arent in sync. I would also suggest not subscribing to them as you might find it very difficult to cancel your contract. With this being said, during covid the helplines for cancellation were downed (convieniently) while payments keep going off while you dont even attend the gym. I suggest that anyone wanting to gym at their clubs, please seriously reconsider. I say this out of pure experience with the club.

THIS APP DOESN'T DESERVE A STAR!!! App just logged me out!!! Like really!?!? I tried to input my current password and it keeps on saying the email and password combination is incorrect... I chose the "remember password" the first time and I have been automatically logged in even before lockdown. AND NOW EVEN AFTER RESETTING THE PASSWORD, IT STILL SAYS INCORRECT CREDITIALS!!! LIKE SERIOUSLY??? YOUR APP SUCKS!!!

The most frustrating app I have ever had the displeasure of using! I recently joined a Club and have been trying to book a class for weeks on the app with no luck. I have called countless times and i'm either told they are having technical difficulties and someone will call me back or I never get through! It has been an absolute waste of money to join this gym all thanks to this app!

Please sort out your virgin active app. I am unable to book a session for a class online. I had to call the call centre and waited so long. They reset my password, it didn't work, I was asked to log in and out, it didn't work, then asked to delete and reinstall app. 24 hours later it's still not working. And the club says they can't put my name down for a session. I have to book online. How do you book online when you unable to do so. Very frustrated with this

The bookings does not work!!!!! One books a class up to a week ahead, only to find that your name does not appear at the Gym on their booking list. The classes also gets over booked. This has been the case more than a week now. Please get this sorted out!!!!

Very glitchy and counterintuitive. It seems to freeze and do its own thing then you push lack coz you thing you've tapped the wrong thing and it logs you out and you have to sign in all over again. No warning, no nothing. Let us use fingerprint recognition to login. Why can't I earn discovery points when training at home? I might as well continue training at home and save myself the membership feel

When gyms reopened, we were recommended to use this app to book our slots, but the app didn't work. After a few days it became functional, it was very useful and I managed to book my slots for 3 days. About t 5 days ago it stopped working - so frustrating and time wasting.

Virgin Actively avoid! This mess is worse than Telkom. Repeatedly can't log in, despite also resets. App, web, mostly both. Repeated attempts to contact them by email , with screenshots, go unanswered. So absolutely useless for online workout gym visits that I am trying to accumulate for Vitality, during Covid.

This app is terrible. Nothing about it works the ways it's supposed to. It always logs me out and tells me my login details are incorrect so have to reset my password when I try to log back in - which never works. It has the wrong club as my home club and won't let me change it so I can only see the wrong class time tables (if they even load). And bookings for this wrong club don't even work if I do try make one. The website is just as bad. It is all incredibly frustrating.

The app won't let me log in. I've reset my password, restarted my phone countless times, reinstalled the app twice and even phoned the (useless) helpdesk. The website works fine with my details but the app refuses to log me in. I cannot access any online workouts and I've received no further help from Virgin Active. I'm very disappointed.

Used to work well . Since level 2 lockdown has been implemented this app is hardly ever available. From Tuesday 0809 it constantly hangs and no bookings possible. Thisbafter having crashed in August.

Now in the middle of Sept 2020 and in spite of the terrible reviews, after being told to book slots online using the Virgin Active App, I had hoped they might have solved the issues I had read about on the reviews, but alas, my hopes were dashed. If I could give it zero stars, I would. The app repeatedly tells me I have either the incorrect email or password, in spite of changing my password etc etc. so therefore I'm unable to log in or make a booking. What a disaster!!!!

It doesn't work... I've had this app for a while and it doesn't work. You can't login. It doesn't recognise me as a customer. (it used to, not sure what changed). You can't reset your password. Unusable... Its OK for apps to be down for a bit but, months later this is unacceptable for a company as big as VA. Poor tech dep.

This app is unusable. I am seriously considering canceling my gym contract after more than 10 years exclusively on the basis that this app makes it impossible to book a session (as required now during lockdown). It wont let you login using your details, even after you reset your password. Really really disappointing and pathetic.

Extremely slow, moving from one screen to another takes too long or times out, when ever I get to the last screen to confirm booking, I get an error message uh oh something went wrong I then have to drive to the gym to get a staff member to assist. Beats the point of having the app

Issue has been going on for years. Totally and completely unacceptable. You are stealing my money. Worst App Ever! First I try to book the gym floor as per my gyms request. But every time I try to, I get n "uh oh" message saying something went wrong and to try again later. And now my app logged me out and I cannot get back in. It keeps saying my email or password is incorrect, so I reset my password and when I try to log in again with the new password, it still sais my email or password is incorrect and I can see my email address is correct!!!

Paying good money for the world's worst services and goods is a quintessential south african experience but, this really takes the cake. Perhaps all your talented devs are leaving or, have left, this third world mess, like myself and my colleagues, for a country with an actual future, and you're stuck with the inexperienced dregs. Great concept but using it isn't so great. Videos stop in the middle of you playing in it. Can't log on and requested a password change. Only received the email the following day and then it didn't allow me to change the password still. I could log into the website but not the app so it means the password wasn't reset but I still couldn't log onto the app. I hope virgin active resolves this. I couldn't do exercises for 2 days so far from the app.

App doesn't work - you pay for a premium membership and only book at three clubs 40km away. Virgin Active don't care, you can contact them via email, their webpage, or social media - and you won't get a response. This has been going on for over a week - they've been closed for almost six months - so had six months to prepare for reopening. Can't even get confirmation of a cancellation from them.

The app wont recognize my password although it is correct so I can't book a workout. Online bookings dont work either. And when I phone I'm told I have to either use the app or book online. The bad reviews of this app go back a considerable time, so why hasn't it been sorted yet?

This app does not work. When I enter my user name and password it indicates that the user name/ password is wrong. If I click on 'forgot password' in order to reset the password the app simply stalls. As a result, I am unable to book to go to gym despite the fact that I am paying membership fees!

Absolutely hopeless. Can't even decide whether you use your email address or user id to sign in. The two are not interchangeable. Have to go via the forgot password link to sign in with user ID. Once in nothing works anyway so the first issue is mute.

Videos go black and have to stop workout to refresh and try to find the time it was on. Happens 4 or 5 times in a video with every video. Not a great UX, no way to see which workouts you have already done, to save workouts on the app or to filter or sort by duration, difficulty or type. If I click back it leaves the online video section altogether and I have to start my search over again. The Nav should be sticky and the whole app is buggy. Its a complete burden to use.

Apparently your systems can't handle a load which you should have been able to predict, plan and test for well in advance. Currently unable to log in on either the app or thr website and I'm guessing this is because everyone is trying to book their slots at the gym. If I wasn't planning on cancelling my membership before, i am now.

Glitchy, slow and odd design (back button does not as is consistent within android and all other apps). **Edit: Vitality points have now reflected. Please could Virgin and Vitality give a more clear explanation on how the workouts are reflected? It's frustrating when you don't know if your goal has been made or not because you can't figure out how the system works. The email sent by Vitality is vague at best. Thanks.

Dear Virgin Active The Virgin App that goes hand in hand with your online training does not work as described. The app is slow and the workout videos battle to load even on a fast fibre network. I did a 30+ min workout yesterday and did not recieve the 100 points as per the guide. Nothing has really changed - this is not easier at all. I find this app useless. I used to take part in the goal center activities, then towards the end of the month it will just stop updating and uploading my activities. I don't bother to take part anymore. My last gym workout updated was on the 22nd January, I have been to the gym atleast 25 times since then. I'm asking myself, why do I need this app 🤷‍♂️🤦‍♀️

Keeps logging me out and tells me my email and password is incorrect. It is very limited with hardly any useful functions once you are able to use it. You have to enter everything manually... Might aswell use an old fashioned paper logbook at least then there is no chance of being logged out and locked out. A very sad excuse for an app ... Rather not have one at all.

The app is a waste of time, you log workouts manually and it does not log, the IT department is rude and very unhelpful. I tryed sorting it out with them but they took 2 weeks and a ton of emails saying they will get back to me and then my final reply was "nothing can be done" . DONT WASTE YOUR TIME USING THIS APP.

I don't know why they decided to change app. But it's really annoying that the app doesn't show classes that are fully booked anymore on the side, you now first have to click on the class and only then will the pop up screen that the online booking has been reached willl appear. Honestly I thought app updates were meant to improve customer experience but now you're just taking us two steps back, it was really fine the way it was.

It started out great, but something has gone wrong or there's a glitch because I used the Challenges section of the app all the time. But now all of a sudden it's disappeared from the app and this is really frustrating. I've uninstalled and re-installed the app and nothing has changed. Please could you look into this? Otherwise I'm just going to delete the app and never use it again because for me it's a bit useless without the Challenges.

I have changed my password four times now and I also know for a fact that my email is typed in correct. Continually freezes. Does not have flexible search options (I would like to check all Pilates or Grid options for a specific day, rather than having to go into each individual club page and check options there). Does not show in your booking schedule which gym you booked a class at. Spoke with virgin active regarding this and no solution was provided. My app still freezes every time I open it. It isn't related to my phones space as it's a new phone with 50GB of memory

The app is functional and convenient for scheduling. It would be great to include some exercises that one can do to achieve a certain look or according to levels of fitness. This will help make workouts more effective for those who do not or have little experience about fitness. Maybe also including healthy eating tips as a bonus.

Use to be a nice app on my Samsung because it connected to s health but have a Huawei p30 and the app does not support that, there's no option to connect to the fone or the watch which is very disappointing. And when using other apps like strava or map my fitness it does not want to sync the activities to the challenges. Can u pls add the huawei? Thanks

I'm trying to reset my password on the app, which I did not have to because I logged into the app this morning with that same password and tonight it's telling me my password is incorrect. Tried to reset it twice using the 2 methods that is provided. Get an email saying my password has been reset. I try using my new password and still, it tells me that it's incorrect... The Paarl branch asked that we should rate the instructors and there classes, so that they can see which ones are popular. I can nowhere found this option to rate on the app. When I got the app, there was a pop up after each class, asking to rate. But that did not pop up for weeks now. Also no update on the Play Store.. and I do book for the classes, so it should be possible... it would be nice to send a recommendation direct to the instructor.

Great app! But I would like to ask that you add a feature to booked classes. At the moment it only shows the name of the type of class booked and the time, but would be great if you could add which branch the class actually is. I, as I'm sure many other member do gym hopping... Therfore figuring out where you book your classes from a week ago is quit time consuming.

So this morning my app asked login details. Which I provided, however it kept on giving me an error message. I asked for a password reset and the link was emailed to me. When I clicked the reset password button I got another error message 'oops not you'.??!!

Very useless app. Whenever I try tp access my membership details, it instead redirects me to the home page. I have to log in every time I decide to go back to the welcome screen. Hate it.

Very slow, errors all over the place. Can not cancel bookings. Can not check club visits. Can not see bookings. With website down, only place to try to book is the app. Android version

Saved password no longer working, and the forgot password link does not work, it constantly tries to resolve, but nothing happens. This is happening on 2 of my devices.

App is great works well, but can't log in at all, changed my password like the app wanted but it still doesn't accept it, have to use the website in order to stay up to date with the classes, please fix this problem

The app won't let me log into my account. It constantly tells me my email or password is incorrect. I have reset my password several times and it still tells me something is wrong. If I log in on my computer or brower it works - why does this keep happening??
