I've been trying to log in. It says member services unavailable at this time, and then shuts down the app. You told another person with the same issue to go to the help section. It's hard to get to help when it automatically closes the app. How do you get to help when the app shuts down before getting ANY menu? Well? It's been more than a year.

You would think they would figure out how to keep you signed in for more than 2 days. Every other time I get on it I have to sign back in and reset my pin. Always glitchy and slow. Good to get the information you need but doesn't do it well.

STILL CANNOT GET INTO THE APP. 100% FAILURE. it is only useful to watch a 30 second counter count down for no reason at all. there is no access to "help" and "contact us". is anyone there actually trying to fix this??

Wonderful enabler! The Church does a phenomenal job staying at the leading edge of technology in support of gospel study & living. I use this application regularly. Reach out to other members of your ward & stake, know who leads what in the organization, locate churches & temples, know what's going on when, where, and for whom throughout the Church locally, do missionary work, set a temple recommend renewal reminder with one click, this is such a great tool! I have to reset my password everytime I access the app. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, keep the app updated and it still will not login with any saved password...I literally have to reset the password each and every time!

It looks like this app doesn't work for android any more. I cannot see any information on myself or my family, including ministering assignment. The three bars in the upper left corner only brings up a blank column, i can no lunge see reports or leadership. I have Uninstaller and reinstalled the app but the problems persist.

I cannot login to the tools account no matter what I do. I have reset the password multiple times. I have verified my account multiple times. I can login to the church website just fine after each password reset, but not the Tools app. Please help...a month and a half after leaving this review, I still can't login. Please fix whatever the issue is.

My Member Tools updates always fail and I constantly get notifications to enter my user name and password. Manual updating is useless also. My rating would be much higher if this app actually worked but can't even get a response from the creator(s) to fix the bug.

It puts all the ward and stake info I need right at my fingertips and it lets me mark my weekly attendance for my leaders to see as well. What I don't appreciate is being lied to. I asked to add the Schedule Appointment feature following my endowment and got an email containing two lies: 1. That member tools was just for leaders, and 2. That the Schedule appointment feature isn't available.Till your team stops lying, I've docked you two stars because honor is important.

All good but some issues here and there. On my wife's phone she doesn't see all the units in our stake. On mine forna long time now, the move in report is missing some people and thus they don't appear on the ward list. The app is up tondate on both phones.

Logging onto this app is never anything more or less than an obnoxious slog, I get signed out frequently, get told that the password I just changed is incorrect, records never update correctly.

I haven't been able to use the app ever. I have tried all troubleshooting ideas and tried getting help from my Bishop, but still nothing. There isn't any help in discussion forums, there isn't anyone I can call and get help, AND now they ask for your membership history in the app when you buy garments. What am supposed to do?

Be nice if you could filter the directory according to first name as an option. Especially in the YSA ward not everyone knows people last names and first aren't always spelled the same. Great otherwise though.

Authentication is broken. I randomly get prompted to reauthenticate but it fails. Authenticating in a web browser with the exact same username and password works fine. This has been going on for a couple days now.

I haven't been able to get into the app for over a year. I've deleted and re-downloaded it multiple times, updated my phone, nothing helps. It let's me login, then says updating and then says there is an error try again.

Closes every time you open it on any phone or computer. Usually makes you have to restart your phone. I've had it for years, on multiple phones, and only 1 or 2 times ever gotten it to even open all the way before closing. Literally can't get worse than that.

When I want to update my member tools app to get current calendar updates and new stuff if you just click the update button it does not update you will need to go into settings and refresh data that is weird please fix it please!

The submittal for reimbursement isn't working. I've gone thru every step shown and tried to submit two separate reimbursements in the last few days. It keeps says error without any explanation of why?

Trying to setup my phone pushing security polices that i already have so it crashes the app. Why would you make it push security policy? I guess I'll just use the website.

Unusable. Claims I am not using correct credentials. I log in to my account multiple times a day, my credentials are correct; the app is broken. This happens pretty frequently, rollouts of updates need better QA.

I am having trouble with the app after the update. I'm the YW secretary and I am unable to get to the attendance page. When I hit the lines on the left top to bring up and take attendance, it is blank and just stays blank. Help. I have used this app every Sunday and loved it until the update.

If Sunday School and Primary attendance is important enough to capture, please consider adding permissions to allow teachers of those classes to input that information rather than limiting it to the presidencies who have to interrupt those classes to take attendance. Otherwise, reverting to the old paper roll system is a better, less intrusive option (albeit being more labor intensive).

I am unable to sign into the app and I changed the pw. I was able to login on Chrome no issue. I cleared the cache on the app tried again same thing. I uninstalled the app I thought should fix but still not taking my new pw.

The scroll bar scrolls too fast. It makes it harder to stop where you want it to. The calendar feature does not display beyond the current week.

Edit: seems to be working now, but I still have issues from time to time with the password not registering (and being able to login to the website). Can't login and says wrong password. I've changed my LDS account password and can login to the website flawlessly. I've uninstalled, cleared the cache, etc. What's the deal?

Gives failed notices when transaction is successful. Won't recognize my valid email address. Friends also have trouble with site. Cannot access app to switch to my new stake. Frustration to the nth degree.

The app will no longer load the calendars. It constantly requires you to set up a new pin. The app always tries to force you to update, typically when you are trying to use it to locate and navigate to an address. This app has so much potential, yet anytime you need it urgently it fails miserably.

While it is very helpful in identifying members of my ward and their callings, etc., this app frequently has technical issues, including forgetting accounts that I have signed in on and requiring a pin be chosen every time that this happens. Very frustrating.

All of the sudden I can't log into my account. I've tried everything including deleting and reinstalling the app, changing password, etc. Nothing works. This app is useless if I can't log into my account.

Under the finance tab on LDS tools you can do reimbursements for receipts. After I did this, it disappeared a few seconds after submitting. So I did it a second time and same thing happened. I have no idea whether or not it actually went through? Did I submit it twice? I wish it told you past payment requests you have submitted so that way I could know for sure it actually went through.

Overall a highly useful app. Main request: please re-vamp the "contact" landing page for families. Most people do not have landlines or home phones anymore, and husband/wife have separate emails. The contact page lists only one of each. You have to dig to find a spouse's specific contact info that differs from the default "contact" info. Just list the household members and have the home address on the landing page, then click on individual names for phone/email.

This is a must have app for members and leaders. When it works it makes getting things done so much easier. The problem is it has been buggy for a while, from not syncing properly, to updates with poor functionality. For something members and leaders rely on so heavily it really should work better. - To the developers, please stop with the new features until the existing features work consistently.

First the bad: The Stake calendar won't update. Error message: "Update failed. Try again later" what led to this was an event being shown as starting at 1800 rather than 1900. I tried to update it then got the following message. Now the Good: The directory is amazing. It has been tremendously helpful in coordinating with others for important events. Plus the directory includes a Google Maps link.

Love the app, but I am so sick and tired of everytime it has to update, that I have to log in username and password. That in of itself wouldn't be a problem, except for the fact I don't remember my password, so then I have to reset it every stinking time!!! Now, I reset the password, and says my password is invalid!

Updated and can't log in. Uninstalled, reinstalled, still can't log in. App seems to be broken. It's great when you can get in, but right now it's worthless. I'm in the EQ Presidency and really need my access. It was working until the update. Hate to give it one star, but the reality is that this is useless if i can't log in.

Been unable to access the app for about a year now. The app has always told me "The members tools services are unavailable." I've uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times to no avail. I've seen a few users who have similar issues and unsure if they had any success. I hope this gets patched, but I highly doubt that will happen anytime soon.

This app was recommended to me by our former Bishop so I downloaded it. It's been installed for 5 months now but I have yet to be able to access it. It continually says it's "unavailable at this time". No matter what day/time I try, it's ALWAYS "unavailable". Other members have said they've had that problem, too, but it happens to me EVERY TIME. This app is just taking up memory on my phone. I'm tired of it & am deleting this app.

I want to love this app! But it's frustrating. I cannot figure out how to add or edit photos. I had a family photo uploaded, but it's gone, with no apparent way to add one again. It also demands that I update the app every time I use it, but whether I tap NOT NOW or UPDATE NOW, it ignores me and lets me use the app anyway. It is inconsistent, so its potential is held back.

Can only login to the app or desktop browser, not both. Very frustrating. Also forced to change password. I have an algorithm that generates a unique password for every site I visit. Forced password changes throw that whole system out of alignment. Very disappointed. Uninstalled. I won't put up with that nonsense.

A wonderful tool for identifying member info, often includes photos, of Stake and Ward members as well as their Callings & Classes. Includes ability to view organizations and their current members, as well as assigned missionaries by ward & stake. Excellent tool! It would be brilliant if the app was available for a Windows desktop, not just for Android/Apple phones

When I first downloaded this app it did as it said, right down to the part where it had caller ID whenever someone called. But it no longer does that. So now whenever I miss a call that's not in my contacts I have to go and type the number in the app to try and see if it was someone in my stake/ward. And now everyone is keeping their information private as well so it's almost useless.

App won't let me log in after I've tried multiple times to update and sync my account. I've changed my password and double checked to make sure it matches the password to log in on the website, and it still says that it failed.

I am so frustrated. My sign on keeps telling me that there is an error logging in period I am able to log on to any Web browser with the password and it is all correct come up but when I go to log in on the app on my Samsung Galaxy S10 plus it does not work? I have deleted the app Andrea installed the app several times, I have changed my password several times, and done all of the necessary steps to continuing with this issue.

This app is completely broken. I've spent the last hour trying to get it to work. I opened the app and it froze on the updating screen. I shut it down, cleared the cache, tried again and it froze. I uninstalled and reinstalled it, and again it tried to auto-update and froze despite the fresh install. I'll be using the church website from now on. This is ridiculous.

This might be coincidental because I don't use the app much. But the last 4 out of 5 times, when I've actually needed to access the app, my login attempt fails and I receive a message saying the app is unavailable try again later.

Every couple weeks or so, I have to re-login and create a new pin. It doesn't matter how often I use it, I had used my pin one day and the very next day I was forced to login again. Also, it keeps prompting me to update my contact information. I haven't moved! I haven't changed phone numbers! There's nothing to update!

Please prohibit your app from updating/synchronizing on Sunday, or have the courtesy to let us decline until next launch. Your backend cannot handle the server load and your app is entire unusable during most of Sunday when a sync is forced. This is really inconvenient when certain use cases are more time sensitive.

2/14/21 App used to work flawlessly, now I cannot log in. I have reset my password multiple times and as soon as I do and try to log in it says there is an error logging in. I have uninstalled and reinstalled many times. This has been going on over a month now. Moto z3 play. Updated 5/21/21 I am back to having the same problem again with not being able to login for updates. I have tried to reset password; still doesn't help.

App gets more cumbersome and difficult to use with every update. Why are you forcing me to use a pin? I already have security on my phone. It's an annoying, unneeded step. Now I can't update my info or privacy settings, it's just blank and spins. Sometimes won't update manually. The "update now" button doesn't work, then I get signed out, but can't get back in because "Member Tools services are unavailable." How is it possible this app keeps getting worse?! It's becoming completely useless.

App calendar does not work on some phones and getting tech support is nearly nonexistent. Took over three weeks for first response, second response told me to change a setting that was already set correctly, no response to my last response over a month ago. Otherwise, app is fine

Awesome! Everything you need for your calling. What a blessing. I've been using it for years without problems. Solid app. Just one weird thing, though...I had to uninstall and reinstall the app to have the class and quorum attendance module show up, but wasn't a big deal.

Unusable ap will not load, crashes all the time. Says it is updating the gives me an error. Very frustration when everything is turning to the online info and the AP that the church says is important doesn't work. Should have left it alone when it was working in 2019. Why fix what ain't broke. Now its broke and no one will fix it.

Previous version wouldn't sync, but this version won't fully open and crashes after about 3 seconds. Tried a reboot but same thing. Wish we'd stop taking the DI approach to developers at headquarters. I know they tried several years ago, but those didn't last long because of organizational issues and are all other places now.

I'm impressed with a lot of technology provided by the Church, but this app is constantly doing something weird. Currently, the weird glitch is attempting to open the app and instead restarting the phone. It's super handy...when it works...

I changed phones and I downloaded member tools. It comes up with application not available. Try again later. I'm the second councilor in my Elders quorum and need this app to do my calling. I'm probably wasting my time telling you this after reading the comments it seems this has not been fixed in a long time.

I am using a Jitterbug Smart 2 phone. I have reloaded Tools many times. It works for a couple of logins and then locks up. My wife has the same phone and it works fine. It stopped working on my old Smart 2 and doesn't work on my new one either. Like most members I am very dependant on this software.

My family moved to a new town and I needed to get a Temple Recommend. I hopped on the app to find the location of the Stake Center, but this only had a map that showed every building around. I live in Utah, there is practically one on every corner. But there was no distinction between meeting houses. No way to tell which was the Stake Center. Something telling the address of my assigned meeting house and stake center should be readily available.

Finally an Android Nov 1, 2020 patch fixed issue - New Samsung SM-T510 Android tablet just updated OS to UI 2.1 w/ Android 10 and now Member Tools is nonfunctional. When trying to start the App it displays "Biometric hardware unavailable" and stops. Thank you.

Mostly great app. But, since the last update, when you click on an address it now opens with Uber of all things instead of Google maps. Not sure why they thought that would be helpful but what used to be a useful feature to save having to manually type in addresses is now pretty much useless.... Really hope they switch it back soon! (I looked in settings no options to change it yourself.)

Newest update has set my family to "private" as if we're a "do not contact". Everything shows orange with a lock. I've updated, restarted, reset, everything. It shows I'm set to "Ward Visibility" in the settings menu, but on my front screen it all shows it's locked by user. Well the user and I didn't do it. Also I have to use a PIN or fingerprint. What a pain!

This app has worked so well for a long time. Now it won't open. I have uninstalled and installed 2 different times, with the same result...not working. It works fine on me Samsung phone. Not on my Samsung TabA.

For several month's I have been unable to use this app. It won't accept my email or phone info both of which I've never changed. I use a Samsung S9+. Very frustrating and disappointing to be unable to secure the info this app monitors.

The application constantly fails to communicate with the endpoint which blocks the user from getting into the app, setting up configuration, and storing authentication. Instead it kicks you out. The application is completely unusable when the church's network has any kind of load on it.

Everything works just fine! It's just that we have emphasis in this church on ministring. But it is near impossible to look and see who you are assigned to minister to. Please make this a function that is easy to use. We need a simple tab right their on the first page. I shouldn't have to spend 20 minutes looking for it.

It won't update, it trying but then gives me an error message to please try again later. This has been going on for months. I can log in on my computer just not on my phone. I purchased a new model phone, same thing. The church needs to hire some real programmers, all their sites need major help.

Removed and re-installed the app to see if I could finally login as in the past. First the app "updated" itself. Second type my username and then my password. Third, it asked me to type the current password. And, it kept in that loop to no end and neither other option like a password reset button. I even tried the last 2 passwords i remember to not avail. It is frustrating because it used to be a very useful tool until now.

The app as a whole works well. I did run into an issue that many others have reported. After a recent system update the app stopped working. When I would sign it it would get stuck updating or just crash. A quick uninstall/reinstall resolved the issue.

Can never get it to work. Tried installing and uninstalling. Tried restarting in between installs and uninstalls. Never works. Always says updating and then member tools services is unavailable. When I go to uninstall it says Tools is part of the Member Tools app. Don't know if the full app isn't installing.? Used to be a great app. From reading the other reviews, I know I'm not the only one experiencing problems. Please fix it.

Typically a good app, but hasn't worked for me over the last 6 months or so. Says "updating", then something about being unavailable, try again later. Here we are, later by 6 months... I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling, etc... To no avail.

Doesn't let me log in since sometime in 2019 rendering it completely useless. I have a Samsung S8. I've uninstalled and reinstalled it and nothing. I've updated my password and verified my email and still nothing. It acts like it's loading and then goes back to the login screen. Yes, my username and pw are correct. This needs fixed.

About a year ago in order to get the app to work I had to wipe my phone and start over. It's doing the same thing again. This is ridiculous. I followed Dale Norby's suggestion. It works now, but one shouldn't have to jump through hoops like that to make it work. Whoops it is locking up again. I uninstalled it in disgust.

App doesn't work on low end phones. It takes up too much space, constantly updates, and loads really slow/crashes frequently. I would recommend just going to the website to access all the info because it is faster to go there than use the app.

Like the app but it was messed up with the last update for my tablet. Very unhappy! Have tried installing 4 times, biometric hardware is always missing. Not impressed with Google findings on this subject.

I don't know what happened, but this app stopped working. It continually crashes and keeps reading an error saying that the app has stopped working. It's kind of frustrating that the error keeps popping up whenever I'm on my phone. Plus, it won't let me log in anymore. Unfortunately I had to uninstall it. I don't know what's going on, but I hope the people in charge of this app fix it as soon as possible.

The app has stopped working since the last system/phone update back in August or September... maybe even July, I can't remember. I can't login to the app, what I mean is, when I sign in, it says "Updating" for a few minutes then get an error saying the service is currently unavailable. Apparently, I'm not the only one experiencing this and it looks to be on mostly Samsung devices specifically, if not most Android devices in general... we all need this fixed ASAP.

I cannot log in right now... it says it is updating and nothing happens. It runs the update for about 5min and stops and tells me that it has problem opening the app. I tried deleting and re-downloading and didnt work. Please fix it. I am using Galaxy Note 10.

Every since the last update of my Galaxy tablet this app will not work I try to sign in and I get a message saying biometric hardware not available. Before the last update this app worked fine I've done everything you suggested and it still does not work. The install screen says the app may not be optimized for my Device please fix this.

I have heavily relied on this app for years. But for the last few weeks, I cannot access it. It began when I had to sync it. Now it just says "tool services are unavailable". I have used this app over and over again, and with latest update on my Samsung S10 around 9/2/20, Member Tools will no longer open for me. After logging in which I have usually done with a fingerprint, I now had to type in my username and password. It then went in to syncing, but then a message pops up saying that tools is not available at this time! I need this app for my church calling. Please help me. I haven't been able to use it for over a week.

This will not install correctly on my wife's Samsung Galaxy Tab A tablet. When she tries to open it, it flashes biometric hardware not available and closes. The tablet does not have biometric features. It works fine on my older Samsung galaxy tab A tablet by entering the security pin, but she isn't even getting that option even after uninstalling and reinstalling. As RS President she needs it and uses the app all the time, but it is small and hard to read on her phone.

After enough uninstalls, it finally works...mostly. I would like a different background color. The black is kind of harsh, but at, least, I can access the ap. Adding three more stars. Is there some way I can use Member Tools? I used to use it with no problem. Then I had to reset my password each time. Now it closes so fast, I can't even get the first letter of my password in before I'm back to my home screen. Is there maybe a new trick I don't know?

This was once a great app. Over a last few months, app features would begin to quit working. I uninstalled/reinstalled to attempt fixes. Most recently, I could not even get it to work. After uninstall/reinstall, I cannot even log on to it.

App used to update and work properly, but with the latest update it will no longer load past the login screen. Attempts to 'update' but eventually throws an error, "Member Tools Services are unavailable. Please try again later." This is the case with Samsung Tab S4 and Galaxy Note 10+. I have spoken with other leaders on different platforms (including IOS) and they are having the same problem. Developers PLEASE address this asap so that I can amend my review!

I used to love it. Now, not so much. I am frustrated that the app now expects me to use my PHONE PIN not the PIN I chose for this app, without ever telling me it had been changed!!!. Also - I used to be able to see my ministering assignments and also see who was assigned to minister to me. But I logged out tonight and when I logged back in that information was no longer available. Why? How is the average member supposed to get that information now? Quite disappointed now.

The app worked fine until my Samsung S9 updated. Now it doesn't work. Others in my family with S9s have no problem. I have uninstalled and reinstalled 5 times to no avail. It asks for my ID and password, after which it updates the asks for my password. It will not recognize my password on this second screen. The password is same as on my church website account.

Updated my tools app on 8.28.2020 Fiday given it would not open for me for the first time. App pop upside I had no internet connection. I've had no issues getting on Google, Social media, or internet. Maybe it'll work now that I've Updated it on my Android device. Thank you!

Can't get past entering a PIN...that I didn't know I set. I uninstalled the app multiple times. Logged in and selected the "need help logging in" option. Changed my account info and upgraded my account with the new password requirement and even reset my PIN from my account profile. And it still wouldn't work!!! SOOOOOOOO frustrating because I need info for my calling and can't get it. I rely solely on this app because I don't have a PC to use. And I can't find a human to help with the app

This app used to work great until now (August 2020). Now it won't accept my password anymore. I can log in to my account on the church's website just fine, but not the app. I Uninstalled and reinstalled it but no help.. I noticed lots of people are having the exact same issue! Really frustrating as I'm the primary pres and rely on this app so much!

Like others here, for me the app is unusable. Keeps asking for my PIN but never accepts the correct PIN. I tried removing my PIN using a different phone—my phone still asks for the PIN. I've only ever used one PIN. I've contacted the developer many times. I've received only one reply asking if my problem has been resolved, which I indicated had not been resolved. Nothing more. I suppose it's time to try visiting in person?

Very frustrating. It worked great until March 2020. I really don't know what happened. Can't even make it past my PIN (which I never changed). Have sent multiple emails. Always the same instructions which never resolve the problem. Just glad that I don't have a calling where I would depend on this app; I would be sunk! Going to uninstall it and leave it off. No point in having it on my phone.

Used to be a very useful app. However, the mobile version does not let me log in. I can log in to my account on the church website, but the app says "log in failed. Please verify username and password ". I've even reset/changed my password to make sure everything is up to date, but the app still won't let me sign in.

I loaded the app and went to open the app and it asked for a pin number and I NEVER set a pin and there is no link for administrative help. I'm my new calling I need the old apps benefit. I'm saddened by this change. I've been fighting with this fir 2 months and I've worked with numerous individuals in the ward, stake and even reached out to Salt Lake and no success. I'll guess I work with hard copy and do things ol' school 😔😔😔

I have given up. I have spent hours and hours over many months trying to log in. This app needs to be rewritten and the unnecessary concern for security needs to be toned down. Please brethren pray about this and ask if all these changes, that have made the app unusable, are really necessary. I can still touch my Library icon and everything works. Can the Ward & Stake membership info be separated out to work in the same way?

If you are having trouble logging in, use your phone/tablet password for the 2nd password it asks for. I just tried it after a few weeks of troubleshooting with the support team, and it works!

I have used this app for so many reasons and have loved it like all things of the gospel...however this is not the standard of the church. I have; however compassion as there must be so much the developers have to do. Yet this may be the link we have to each other in our wards that counts so much. It is the key to keeping in touch with one another. Please take time to fix Member Tools. We need it so much at this time of quarantines etc.

Latest release crashes. I can only use it immediately after installing. Close it, and a reopen results in a crash. Looking forward to the next release that doesn't do this! EDIT: 1 week later, reinstalled. Still crashing. For any use, I have to reinstall it from scratch. EVERY TIME I NEED TO USE IT. Yikes.

Doesn't rate at all. Will not open correctly. First attempt to open only got a message stating "biometric hardware not available". Uninstall and start again. 2nd install. Get asked for usual user name and password , all going ok, message tells me that updating and then stops. Message pops up " biometric hardware not available". I understand what biometric hardware is but given my log in details are valid what is now required to get this operational for me. Is this dysfunctional or junk?

The app let me in to set it up but has not loaded since. The logo comes onto the screen, disappears, and never opens the app. Something is wrong with the current update. I like the app when it works, but this version is problematic.

Very frustrating - Like many others, the updated app got stuck during the install - kept asking for my PIN but would not accept it. I followed the advice of Becky Anderson in her review - have someone else install the app on your device using their account, complete the install and then sign out of their account. This worked and I could sign-in to my account. UPDATE: worked for a few days, now back to it's bad behavior. Useless app at this point!

Could not remember my pin and as a result I am locked out of the app and cannot access contacts. My complaint is that there seems to be no recovery option like a "forgot my password" link in order to overcome this problem. This is very frustrating. When I can get access, the app works fine.

Up until the last update, I had been able to log into this app on my LG Stylo 5 phone. But now after several uninstalls/reinstalls, changing password, and contacting support, I am still unable to login to this once useful app. No matter how often I have created a new password (which works for my church account), the error message is always: Wrong Password. Try Again. Please, fix soon!!!

Since the May 6, 2020, update, the app wouldn't let me log in. It kept saying my password was incorrect. Changing my password and reinstalling the app didn't help. Then my daughter uninstalled and reinstalled the Member Tools app on my phone, and signed in using her username and password. This allowed my phone to finish the update it wasn't finishing under my username and password. She then logged out and I was able to successfully log in to my account. Member Tools works again for me!

Fantastic App but im having issues with updating the brethren ministering reports. Its been an issue for three quarters now. I end up giving the ward clerk the stats to update them on the church PC. Its frustrating. I thought updating the app would help and it took days for it to sign in

Prior to the "update" it was a very useful tool. Now it just takes up storage space. Hoping for a miracle repair, expecting more disappointment.Cookie cutter response to these comments are of no help at all. Who cares about upgraded security when you can't get into the program to use it???

I have used this app for years and it has proven to be very useful. This latest update has changed all that. Update: I don't know what's going on, but I have tried about 5 times since yesterday to open the app. I've entered my user name and password and it goes into an endless loop of Updating until it finally says it's unavailable, try again later. After the App was recently updated, I have been UNABLE to access Member Tools. The 2nd level password that I had been using prior to the App Update appears to be no longer valid, and, I have NOT been able to reset or create a new one. There appears to be no option for help, or to reset the password. Need a suggestion to fix it please.

This is a very useful app. Unfortunately, I had some panic when I couldn't get into it tonight after performing the update. It kept asking for the "current password," so I kept entering my Church account password and my Tools PIN, but neither of them would work. It wasn't until after I read a couple of recent reviews that I realized it was asking for the password I use to unlock my phone. It would have been nice if the password screen had specified that I needed to enter the "device password."

I'm not willing to add a password to my phone on order to use this app. I'm Very frustrated to loose access to this. I will NOT put this on my phone under these conditions. I will not let one app control me that way. Do not update if you don't want to password protect your whole phone. The tools are wonderful, the taking over of my phone is not.

It now requires your phone to have security in the form of a pin, finger print, etc. just to open the app or to get to the login screen. Very inconvenient. Using a pin code and such for the app is fine but requiring my phone to have it as well to just open the app is not. Please fix this asap. Otherwise this was once a very good app to use. ***UPDATE*** 4/22/20... Thank you for fixing the App and listening to your users. Very much appreciated and now I can keep on using the app once again.

Overall I love the app, but the new security feature is ridiculous. I don't have a passcode or pin number on my phone in case my kids need to make an emergency calls. I don't want them to deal with the stress of putting in a pin and then call 9-11. I get there is sensitive information on the app, but it already requires a password to log in. I won't use it and consider me a dissatisfied customer because of it

Great app as always but I really don't like that they changed it so I HAVE to have a pin on my phone lock screen instead of just inside the app like before!! Why?? It worked just fine before and now you are forcing me to change my entire phone instead of just accessing the app with a pin. I would love it of they changed it back to a pin accessed app and not a pin accessed phone.

Forcing me to lock my screen when there is already a pin requirement for the app is unacceptable. I shouldn't have to use multiple forms of unlocking to get into the app. Already had to use 2 factor authentication and I have to change my password every 6 months, why the extra layer of security? You already know it is me!! The data is already protected. Are you suggesting the Church's password and pin are not sufficient to protect the said data? And by doing it twice will protect it better?

I have a concern because in the most recent update LDS tools says that the entire device it is installed on needs to have a lock screen active. But many of us find said it's too important to be able to access our handheld computers and phones quickly. And having a lock screen active for the entire device tends to hinder the use of that device if you want to use LDS tools. Here's to hoping that other non evasive Solutions can be found.

I just updated the app. Because of my calling, I now have to have a PIN to open my phone. This is very inconvenient, before I just needed a PIN to open the app. I am very against this update. I open my phone several times a day, but the app maybe once a week. Now my phone is held hostage by this one app. Very dissatisfied, not sure if I'm going to keep this once convenient app.

I don't appreciate the changes made to this app. I now have to use biometrics to open my phone or the app will not let me in. ALL PEOPLE don't use fingerprints or facial recognition or any other methods to open their phones. Some people like to just use their phones the way they like, and not be forced into something just to use an app that at one time had its own form of security. I'm very disappointing in this app now.

I used to love this app and used it frequently. However, all of a sudden it's telling me that a PIN or password is required on my device in order to access it, and frankly I feel like that's my decision to do that and not the church's. I don't appreciate being forced to adjust my phone or security measures. A PIN for the app itself would be understandable, but not for my whole phone! This is ridiculous. If this feature was removed I would give the app 5 stars.

This app required me to update security setting on phone. Now when when ever I and not actively working on phone it times out 1min or so and requires me to re enter password. Slows me down. I've had to do the 6 to 8 time in one session. New mutilplr session. And this is when I am not even using the app.

Great tool for Wards and Stakes! Having a lot of issues with app closing automatically. This is new, hopefully uninstall/reinstall will fix it. We are "newish" to our ward and this app is my way to connect with those in my stake. I use the map option to help me when I need to go to a member's home. I would be so lost without this app!

Members have the option to limit how much of their private info is posted to curb misuse and connecting with leaders and others who have callings makes things efficient. Thank you so much! Usually I like this app. But today I was trying to find the time for church and all I could find was 9:00. Which sounded wrong to me. I'm traveling and I got to me hotel at 2am, i needed all the sleep i could get. Turns out church starts at 10:00. I know it's not the end of the world but I could have slept for a whole hour more and right now that sounds really good. So I'm a bit frustrated with the app.

Occasionally glitches but an otherwise very useful app! For a time, I was unable to view any temple information, but that has since been fixed. Right now, the big issue seems to be that I can't view any of my membership information, such as my temple recommend expiration date, my membership ID number, my baptism and endowment dates, et cetera. The entire tab where those used to be is gone. I'd like that information back if that's not too much to ask.

I really wish the caller ID function worked. I have never had it actually work on any iteration of Android that it has been available for. I am running 9 on a OnePlus 5t and my wife has 10 on her Essential PH-1. Doesn't work. The rest of the app pretty much does what it is supposed to, but I really want the caller ID function this promises.

It keeps locking up. I'm continually uninstall ing the app, and reinstalling Frustrating. No problem with Our iPhone. Only occurs with our two Android's! When it locks up it removes all the phone numbers on phones contact list. The names on the contact list remains but the phone numbers disappear.

Update: I cleared the app's cache and local data from its app info settings and now it's working. Worked for my wife's phone, too. Weird because these are new phones. Hopefully this will help someone. It will not sync. I have had other people try and they also can't. It has been like this for at least two weeks!

I am the young men secretary or at least was until I got a title change even though I'm performing the same role at the moment. Somehow this app lost the single most important feature ever for the secretary. I can no longer see who all the members of quorum are or even a listing of all young men like. All I can see are the members of the presidency of each quorum . This has rendered the app mostly useless to me. So much for technological progress.

This app has not been working since early this year. I tried to reset my password and every since then I haven't been able to log in. Every time I do it tells me the it's not available right now. This is a major problem. I now can no longer find addresses or phone numbers if I need them. I'm really disappointed because for quite a few years it worked fine. Now it doesn't work at all.

I have been having trouble with the reports tab. I used to be able to record ministering interviews and see percentage of completion but everything shows 0% now and I cant update interviews. I have a Samsung Note8. I have uninstalled and downloaded but it didnt fix. Please help.

Love the app, but lately the temple section is blank. When I click on both tabs (mine and nearest) there is no information. I uninstalled the app and reinstalled it, but still having the issue. Other than that it is awesome!

My experience with member tools over the year has been excellent though I have been experiencing some difficulties logging in for the past few days, from (November 29). I am hoping updating the app will resolve this.

Great app, the features for leaders especially are great, but in the last couple months the Temple feature suddenly stopped working for my Pixel 3. All that information in the Temple tab is missing even with a reinstall and clearing storage/cache.

****Having issues logging in?**** This worked for me!! Especially Android app users. If you are having issues logging in. Or the app is continuously syncing and then does nothing or says something about not being available at this time. What helped or fixed my problem is to log into your account or create new account on laptop or desktop or other computer first. Then sign in using Member Tools App. Worked for me!!

This app is garbage. I have been trying to sign in to my account for months! It's simply not connecting, it says that it's my service, but it's the app. The app is trashhhhh!!!! Can someone please fix this issue! It's THE most ANNOYING thing because I just moved and I wanna know what time my local service starts at!

App is broken since 8/2019. It asks you to re-sync by entering your password. I entered my password & even changed my password 3 times because it says it's incorrect each time. The app is even more flawed because you cannot get help unless you sign in first. At first I just thought I was inputting the PW or Username in incorrectly but I can sign into the website fine. Now it just pops up every hour telling me to re-sync. I'm uninstalling until this is fixed, it's really sad, it was very useful.

This app quit working for me last year. Now, I am told it is not compatible with my devices. I had it on my cellphone and my Kindle. Now, it won't install on either device. My phone and Kindle are both Android devices. I loved it, when it worked. Now, I'm not very pleased at all.

The app is ok. The biggest and most annoying problem is when you click on the directions icon to take you to somebody's house, it will frequently take you to the incorrect address! I have read the address and then clicked the directions icon and a new address will appear. It is bizarre. Definitely something that needs fixing since it happens with our address and people are constantly having trouble finding our apartment building because it takes them to a completely different building number and apartment number.

Quick, secure, and easy to use. Definitely a good app for any member to have. This PIN screen is a little picky about quick inputs and there is a lot of information I would think I'd be able to see but cannot. Also, there is no dark theme...

It's been over a year and they still haven't fixed issues with syncing. I can't get an updated ward list. It is missing so many people in the ward. My wife has a leadership calling and hers updates just fine. Kind of useless as an app when it won't give you the basic information that it is supposed to. I even joined the beta to see if it would get fixed and that didn't work either. Submitted the issue to the developers and they said it was going to be fixed and it is still not fixed.

The app looks nice and using it is actually really nice. The biggest peoblem is its syncing. It happens at the MOST in opportune times. It takes forever, and may not always work when done. I cant see why they dont have a recommended sync rather than a force or force after three "delays."

If I could, I would rate app -100000. I have never been able to use this app not one time since installing it 2 years ago. When I go to the app it says directory is inavailable and boots me out. I have talked with my ward clerk and he can't get it to work. I need to use it now for my calling and I can't. PLEASE FIX ISSUE. I am the only one in my family that can't use this, every one else can. Makes me mad.

Great app to view members of the Church of Jesus of latter day Saints,, its so convinient it provides households and their addresses as well as contact details and is also linked with your for better magnification of it. I only have a problem with the missionaries of my ward serving , there is a glitch there when i sync the app it doesnt some of the missionaries,, other than i give it a thumbs up

Nice Site however it keeps on showing the dont match or unconfirmed then only opens partially which gets frustrating especially when the code to get in is in text/email and the cell by the time that's retrieve the lds tools starts over again make you get a new code all over again. So I have to find a computer and open the cell to attempt to reset which isn't always an option

i love the app!! However i want to make a suggestion. my parents live in the st cloud mn stake and they have a separate building for their stake office. we couldn't find the address on tools anywhere. is there a way to fix that? we ended up finding the address on Google, but it took a lot of looking. if theres a way to fix it, that would be great. thanks!

Great app, vital tool for Elders quorum presidencies, but since updating to v3.6.0 I can no longer see the Ministering assignments in the Directory, which is the vital information that I access frequently. 7/27/2019 Update:. I updated app to v3.6.1 and re-synced my data, and the Ministering assignments are accessible again. Thanks for the quick fix.

I used to use this all the time, but within the last few months it hasn't worked. It comes up with the message 'services currently unavailable'. Reinstalling has done nothing to help. Its really become a hassle since I can't locate members phone numbers any longer.

it's good and all but I'm having a real struggle changing my picture since I don't like it and it's a photo of me when I was around 8 (I'm 14 now). Also, the app hasn't been working for the past few days and I have to access the calendar to see what activities are coming up

This is a great app for the phone, but the tragedy is that you can't access the same tools for a desktop! I really need the "Lists" capability to send out email blasts for agendas and assignments. But it is too lengthy to do on a phone!! By having the "Lists" options on a desktop it would be so much easier, faster and could more readily add attachments etc. PLEASE make the app tools available for desktop!!!

App currently broken on my Galaxy S10. Usually it is great, and it was previously working on this phone, but a few weeks ago it began failing to open. Right now it freezes on the sync page after syncing half way. Reinstalling did not fix it. Developers: can you update on the status of fixing these issues?

Unable to 'sync' on a weekly basis. The app will eventually time out because it takes so long. I find it sort of comical that it's even worse when you try to sync on the Church's network, shouldn't that be faster/easier?

want to give it 5 stars, but can't. it offers great content needed for ward & stake uses, but the app rarely ever works, even on my new phone. its constantly making me log in multiple times or telling me my username/password is incorrect, gives me error messages, or just won't open. it won't even work on my husband's brand new phone. not sure what's going on, but I think some updates need to be made to fix the issues going on with it.

So if you're having problems with the app that is a different issue then having problems with the calendar or uploading your pictures. Those are issues cleared up on the ward or stake level. Profile pictures have to be approved by the ward clerk. The same with calendars. There should be people called to maintain the calendars. the app has nothing to do with that.

bad,. this update refuses to work on my Android. it goes to the sync units screen, then right back to the sign on screen without syncing. There's a real problem with this update.

Wouldn't install on my new pixel 2xl. Sent feedback and was able to install it a few minutes later. Not sure if the two are connected, but it's just a thought if anyone has the same issue. Absolutely love this app!

This app won't open, always gives an error message that services unavailable. I've tried uninstalling and re downloading and re installing to no avail. This is extremely frustrating and I hope they fix it soon.

Not sure what is going on with this app, but it wont ever open anymore, use to be great app, and whenever I make a phone call it pops up multiple times saying app cannot open. I dont care, I am trying to make a phone call. Uninstalling this for now until bug is fixed.

Can not get android tablets gospel library app to sync. keeps saying "last sync never". Need to replace tablet but don't want to lose all my notes and annotations. hate to only give one star but getting desperate. Play store is now telling me 'app may not be optimized for my device'. Does this mean you've upgraded to the point I can no longer participate fully?

I have two accounts, one account gives an error message, whereas the second says wrong password. I knowit is the right password because I can log in just fine on the website. So other than the issue of that it is a great app!.

This app caused my phone to malfunction every time that I placed an outbound call and a touch tone response was required. I had to uninstall the app so that I could listen to my own voicemail. I think I would've liked it better if it wasn't causing problems with my phone.

As others have mentioned, this keeps crashing since the last update. I'll keep sending feedback reports and urge others to do the same. I have just uninstalled and reinstalled for the second time, we will see how/if it works.

Keeps crashing on me. I'll randomly be in a phone call unrelated to lds tools and I won't be able to access the dial pad because a notification keeps popping up that says lds tools has stopped working. It won't go away no matter how many times I hit the close app option. Already tried reinstalling it.

Many issues with logging in. Please, brethren and sisters, let's not be poly-anna about this,-- as mobile apps go, LDS Tools has a long way to go. It is very clunky and functions nothing like the web page. Indespensible but painful. if we all give 5 stars the developers will not be alerted to the need for marked improvement.

Using an LG G6 with Sprint. Everytime i attempt to make a call from out of the country this app stops working and continues to prompt that it stops working despite the dact that I do mot even use the app to initiate the call. I dont understand why it is even trying to do anything. I haven't even used the app and it doesnt appear to be active on the phone yet something is running and failing over and over again.

I tried to synchronize the app weeks ago and now it's telling me that it can't connect to the LDS dirctory services. Try again later. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling and updating the app nothing has worked. Please fix the problem or suggest a possible solution. Thank you.

like many others, I love the app but had not been able to sync since Jan. If you have this issue, DO NOT uninstall the app, as you'll lose what you have now (since the first thing it does when you reinstall is sync, and if you can't, you'll end up with nothing.) PLEASE FIX THIS!!! I need this app for my calling daily! *the update released Feb 2019 solved my sync issue - THANK YOU!*

I have a Samsung pad that is a few years old. In December 2018, LDS Tools kept locking up. As had happened once before, I (attempted to) reinstall the app. Now I can not download the app as it's "not compatible with my device". Thank you app developers! I no longer have LDS Tools! I'm writing this review on my spouse's notepad.

Like many others, I can no longer access my lds.tools. App requires syncing but stops halfway through. Message says "lds tools has stopped." Problem began on 2/18/19. Have uninstalled and reinstalled; still not working. We are dependent upon this app to perform our callings. We need it fixed right away. Please help!

i am having trouble with this app. i have installed several times. it seems to install correctly. i log in and as it goes through the sync process, it seems to get stuck. a message that say sorry the app has closed appears with a choice to open ap again or close app. please help. have turned the phone on and off and reinstalled the app several times.

easy way to manage days in relation to the church position which you hold. easy way to find contact information on other congregation members for contact purposes. in case of failure to sync, clear cache, restart app. if that fails, uninstall, reinstall. worked for me.

I used this app for years. suddenly it stopped working. Now it is incompatible with my kindle fire and my android phone, and my husband's iphone. It is useless except as an exercise in futility! It doesn't work anymore. On any device I own. Went from top marks to none. Sorry!

It has worked well for me for years since I installed it (except for the maps, they are useless) But all of the sudden, it locked me out and doesn't recognize my password, which has not changed in 3-4 years. There is no where I can go to fix the issue. I tried a re-set, but it didn't work. Now what? I can't access my ward list or any of the phone numbers that I need. Also, it is on my phone, but I want to put it on my computer, and it won't install.

This is a great app and I use it a lot. Group texting and emailing is very easy and convenient. I used to be able to send group texts but now I cannot for some reason. I get the message "message not sent: invalid destination". I have tried everything I know to fix it but nothing works. I hope it will be fixed soon.

I used to love this app and used it frequently to find members homes to make visits and to make calls, etc. Recently, however, it was updated and now is not compatible with my or my wife's phones (galaxy s4 mini). Wish they had kept it compatible, because we used it all the time for our callings (finance clerk & YW president).
