Updated version is full of garbage..you can't watch the old episodes as there's no list available and you have to click again n again on the serial as it does not play at once..so many glitches.. really hate this updated one..you can't even use the old version.
I have used Netflix and Amazon Prime and this is by far the worst streaming app. I can't even watch an episode as the screen turns black after I select it. It takes forever to load and freezes on the black screen. I can't even go back to the previous page. I have spent an hour trying to stream one single episode.
Facing problems with video restarting to play from random seek position. I was watching MasterChef Australia, pasued for a break and then resumed back. Now as soon as an advertisement starts, the seek position got reset to where it was when I paused earlier. It is recurring problem. This is happening on OnePlus Nord 2, but this problem is not there on OnePlus 6, may be processor optimization issue (Mediatek vs Snapdragon) but posted it to let you know. Otherwise didn't find issue.
App is crashing again and again... The video is sticky... What is the use of subscription if i cannot use the app.. And I have uninstalled and installed multiple times, cleared my phone etc.. The problem is not phone it is in app
Too much adds. It is understandable playing adds for a customer who is watching your services for free. I have purcahsed your super pack worth 899, and still have to watch adds for around 1 minute in 10 -15 minutes gap. For add free, extra 200? We have many other ott platforms and they are not annoying their customers by playing these much adds. This is unacceptable
Increasing your price and no. of shows will not help you if you continue to provide this kind of service. Since the last update, my continue watching list has been disappeared. Before that, Buffering, Automatically video stops as well as poor quality video even on good internet connection was the big problem.
It has been noticed since a while, how long will this add is going to be earlier it was 1 now its half half minute 2 videos. Then make it free subscription right why are you giving such a pain. Ultimately for the bloody add also i am spending my data all together. My movie is getting interrupted every now and at the same time no other app is giving such a pain. If you really wish to have good viewer support, request to please charge accordingly in the beginning for a year or so! Affordable.
Getting continuous adds, this is annoying , message display to get super membership, then i want to aske the developer, why you develop the basic membership. This type of videos with adds are available on YouTube. Why should i purchase hotstar membership.
It takes too much time to load the downloaded videos. And if you pause the downloaded video and again want to resume it then the video is paused and only sound is running.
I have to reload the app so many times just watch a episode of any series. Since you guys introduced ads in between the episode the User experience has been very bad and many of the times the ads doesn't play properly and episode will start from beginning again and again or it'll show the last scene before the ads over and over again. Disney is a cheat .. It has changed its login method without prior intimation... I have taken a plan where i can view simultaneously on 2 devices irrespective of number of devices i have loaded the app ...but now Disney says u can just log in only on 2 devices whether u r watching or not... This is cumbersome as everytime I have to log i need OTP.
Pros:- It is a good app as we can watch tv shows, movies and serials from anywhere at any time. Cons:-t contains lot of ads.. And also consumes so much internet
Also bring back continue watching section. Buffering speed and the internet it needs to maintain HD quality has gotten better recently, though data consumption still higher than Netflix or prime video. Sports section is accessible, but you can't pause or rewind matches (something you can do on 10 year old set top boxes) and sports streams are not even in hd (Facebook's la liga streams are full hd). Premier league in-match moments are so short (atleast add 1 replay of the goal).
Very worst experience by hotstar😡😡😡.. after subscription with Rs499 then why you people are shows many ads in every 10 min.. Just like how many money did you people want. Have you guys realised that the app suddenly started working pathetically slow in Airtel xstream as well as Android 11 from 31 May (the time I noticed)? Loading the program takes ages now. Even on a 250 Mbps fibre connection the app loads like it's working on metered connection. The screen goes black. Even after it loads, clicking on a program doesn't play it. One has to struggle by going back and then start all over again. I have paid a premium and hence expect seamless service!
Best entertainment app on this date! While watching matches it has a bug to fix quality but apart from that everything is great. They are even adding new shows and movie 🎬 to the app, which was a very huge problem back then. But they are working on every single bug they had. Hats off to the people working behind it. Other apps should learn from Hotstar

Videos are not running properly. My internet connection is absolutely fine, still videos buffer a lot. If I forward or backward video 10 seconds then it would just buffer for eternity. Please fix this ASAP.

WTH Suddenly HotStar not compatible with Android . Mine is latest device with most updated operating system and there is a warning that device is not compatible with HOTSTAR Wake Up. You are losing the Mojo.

App just hangs on startup. No content gets loaded inspite of good internet connection. What's the point of taking subscription of such a platform who don't even have their application sorted. First make your application bug free then have the audacity to ask for subscription fee. I want a refund.
This is such an OTT platform where even if you subscribe, you will get to see ads and that too one, not two, but three, if you want to watch AIDS free, then you have to pay separately, better than this is Amazon Prime, which after subscribing will get one. Even ads are not available, Prime is the best OTT platform
Bad experience ever I'm facing issue with login I want renew my subscription. it's showing login with your phone.but i have already logged in with my phone only but still pop up coming. I tried to take some help but chat box not helping me in this situation it's showing share your issue we will get back to you and when I'm submitting my issue again it's showing error every time. This is not good at all.
It's work so nice but ads come in episodes it's not good and I saw two or three episodes of one serial and next it shows that you have to subribe and I have subscribed then it shows plans of one month or two months plans but it screen and voice is good.
Worst now! Used to be good and very user friendly interface but now ruined it with unconventional buffer problem even on high speed WiFi. Subtitle and audio sync issue. Not stable at all, crashing randomly. No multi window support now, or PIP mode so can't do multitasking now.Should have rated 0 but minimum is 1 so here you go. Anytime the app updates it keeps loading and showing the message there is something wrong. I just cannot use the subscription with this issue. Subscribed to HD package and despite having a very good network ( 85mbps) speed , movies and sports are blurry and never clear... live streaming sports is a headache indeed with frequent lags in the middle... Hotstar doesnt deliver on the promises it makes... In all my experience with ott platforms, hotstar has been by far the worst

Getting PB-ERR_PB_1411 error inspite of renewing the subscription. Did all basic troubleshooting including app settings, date and time settings, logout from all accounts, reinstalled the app, still not able to cast screen to view the sports live. Please fix

Tablet experience is really terrible. The app is phone first and tablet second as it is locked to portrait only. After forcing landscape, the layout gets worse.

Issues: 1. You say I can watch hotstar on multiple screens, but there is no provision for creating multiple Profiles. Why??? Do you expect me and my mom to have the same watchlist or history??? 2. Reduced one more star for content restriction to download one time. I downloaded one video and it failed now when I am trying to download i get the error. Horrible user experience. 1. Why just dark mode. Atleast follow the system theme. It is too much strain on eyes.
I have been using this for years never faced any lag or problem for once, although I'd like to point out this misses some of the features like Separate Profiles, Shuffling of episodes etc.
The App doesn't work on my Samsung phone and it keeps showing 'Something went wrong' each time I open it. Facing same issue on my Samsung Smart TV. All other apps like Netflix, Amazom Prime, etc. work smoothly. I called Samsung customer support and tried to sort the issue. But apparently its the App that isn't working properly. The Samsung team has already raised a complain to the App team but there's still no resolution. Please connect with me regarding this issue at the earliest.
You cant play your downloaded videos. After this new update, all your downloaded videos will be a waste now. If you think that you will download all the movies that you want to watch while there is no internet connection or while you travel, then dont worry, you wont be able to watch any of them. Even after clicking on the downloaded video, it will just keep on loading but wont at all play.
The app is not rotating for Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 plus even when auto-rotation is turned on which is very problematic while using the device in landscape mode. Please fix this issue. Edit: The contents have stopped playing and keep on showing playback error. Very poor maintenance of the app for large screen devices. Edit 1: Working great now regarding playback no more issues. Rotation problem still needs to be resolved with overall optimization for an android tablet.
While watching the IPL and if the viewers exceeds 60 L the app is always buffering and even the web page. This is not fair. You guys are charging like anything and if this is the result then there is no use of using the hotstar. And the very bad thing is this always happens in the last 5 overs. You guys need to improve this.
Bakwas update. It happens to me twice. Video stopped playing. Even download files are not playing after update. Developers need to fix this problem. They only focused on filling their pockets. Very annoying app. I think it is better to cancel my subscription and start using pikashow
I'm getting NL 4030 errors and this started happening right after I updated the hotstar app today(25/05/22). This only happens to certain videos and I have tried every probable solution like, 1. Restarting the phone 2. Erasing the cache 3. Reinstalling the hotstar app again. I was also recommended to contact the device maufacturer but I don't know why I should do that since my phone is just 8 months old and it is functioning properly and all the other streaming platforms seem to work just fine.
This app is riddled with bugs. Even after updating it there is a lot of lag while streaming, the video quality changes to SD itself without enabling the auto option. Totally disappointed. Developer please fix this!!
I've been using hotstar since more than 5 years but still it has a buffering video problem and most of the time the video gets lagging I've been complaining many more times but still there is no update or that doesn't seem to fix those problems so it makes me to think about subscribing next time so please update this changes and make the videos flow and good quality

Some content are not available in regional languages (Hindi) ,for example Deadpool,X-Men and many more and this all movie are released in theaters with regional languages(Hindi) but in this app they support English language option only so what is meaning of subscription if I don't get my desire content in my regional language and also in this app there is no feedback option.
An error has occurred (PL-1001) I have internet with 40MBPS, and getting this error again n again Low sound during the shows but volume gets high during annoying advertisements(even though i have subscription) Didn't expect such issue with Disney.

Useless app Get stuck in middle of streaming on mobile app even if you have subscription. After that, whatever you do, no content will play. I tried everything. The last option is clear all the data, which will cost you all the downloaded content. They don't have the option to resolve this by contacting customer service, all they have is predefined frequently asked questions. I never had this experience with other OTT. It's easier to just delete the app than trying trouble shooting every week.
Worst ever OTT app. If it wasn't for Marvel and sports, wouldn't even care to install it, let alone pay for it. Too many ads even after you get a subscription. They an ad almost every 4 minutes. I would rather watch TV. Will not renew this subscription in future.
App doesn't work on latest Oneplus9 , so it is not a configuration issue neither slow speed connection. It just hangs up as soon you open the app and my phone keeps asking to wait , close or share the feedback option everytime this useless App is opened. Hotstar app has became so irritating. I bought two screens, it keeps on logging me out of the devices. Why can't it track itself, how many concurrent screens are running and prevent it from running. Why do you have to log me out? I have a mobile, a tablet, a laptop and a TV. Is it that hard to code?

Very bad experience while streaming IPL matches..starts buffering after 50-60 minutes everytime..i have to close the Hotstar website and then open so that it does not buffer..happens everytime..not only in ipl matches but all live cricket matches..it's high time that you use good servers..I will change the rating and get new subscription only after you change the bad servers that you are using..

The application is not launching in my 1+ Smart TV. The support team is asking me to check my ISP. However Netflix Prime Video Zee5 even MxPlayer all works fine. Developers really need to do something about this app. The streaming is absolute garbage. TV shows and movies stream in under SD(480p) even when using 100Mbps+ internet connection. Manually switching the quality to Full HD will does nothing for some weird reason. Sports live stream frequently switch quality, going very low quality at important points in the game which is very annoying. I always thought it was an issue with my internet but all other streaming services work perfectly fine.
Chromecast issues with live sports, streaming pauses and often. All other apps like Amazon, Netflix, Apple TV etc work fine except this app. Have to disable subtitles for every episode. No user profile options Limited old content. Many users are facing the same problem for over a year but nothing is done to solve it. Troublesome watching live sports. Pathetic
So not worth it. There is an issue with quality it automatically goes down even when i've set it at a set quality and also whenever i let my phone go to sleep mode while hotstar is on it decreases quality and now i have to increase it again really reduces viewing experience 2. Worst video player every. Doesn't play at the selected resolution. If I click on LOW 240p it starts there but soon starts loading the content in HIGH 1080p HD for no reason. If I select HIGH 1080p it starts at LOW and then I have to click again on 1080p to load the video in HD. You keep sending updates but the biggest problem never gets fixed, the media player. What are you even fixing?
Streaming lags to a point where it is unwatchable on Android devices. I have a 150 mbps net, yet the stream lags. Every other platform work except Hotstar. Hotstar only works on Laptop, TV. 1) Stream lags (tv shows, movies, channels) 2) Download function doesn't work. The content gets downloaded but app doesn't play it.
What a stupid device limit implementation! They are unable to limit the number of streams so they limit the number of device longins. Every time I want to watch on my tv i have relogin, and then again in my laptop and then again on phone. Even though at once i am watching only on one device I still need keep logging in again and again. Limit the number of streams, not the login.
Horrible Experience. I had subscribed Hotstar only to watch the live IPL matches but it keeps on irritating me. Faulty app. Won't work on a new device for a few months. Error pl-1001. Didn't work on my new 21 ultra, then didn't work on my tab s7 plus and now it doesn't work on my lg c1 tv. Starts working after a month or two for some reason. But what a waste of a huge part of my annual subscription.
When ever I minimize the screen it automatically vanish and only audio is audible...then after I swipe up the display it appears at the bottom corner of the display and I have to double tap for full screen ...what the hell is this??

Few bugs with app on tv and phone. When you return to the movie, it doesn't give you the option to pause or play. And when you exit, it comes to the same screen but with pause play working.

I've a good internet connection, in this connection I can play YouTube videos in 720p without any buffering. But in the same internet connection this app is keep buffering videos, and some of the time the app takes too many times to open, and also take so much time to load pages... Worst experience ever. The video play back is not starting at all,keeps buffering despite good Internet access. It starts working only after restarting my device, then again gets back to the same problem once i re open the app later. I cant keep restarting my phone every time i want to watch someting. Full of ads... Even free youtube dont have this much ads... Nearly 1 minute ads many times while watching the movie. And the best part is... We are paying them to see the ads.. and they are telling to purchase higher and higher plans... Very bad experience

My phone runs on mediatek dimensity 1200 which is a top end processor. Still the video lags a lot. The volume controls also comes with a delay and it is definitely a hanging issue. Only happening on hotstar. Prime video, netflix, YouTube all working fine even on 4k.
The app is getting crashed every time I want to play any content from my mobile. I didn't bought premium subscription for this. Not much user friendly..Very basic feature like watching a channel live is difficult in TV version of App. You can simply provide a menu item where we can see all channels list in "live tv mode". This would also help elders to watch any channel live instead search in each episode. Hope they will fix in TV version App.

The app is so disgusting after taking the yearly membership it still shows ads which are annoying . During shows ads are playing at the start , end and middle of the show not only that if we fast forward a show it starts showing ads which are annoying . One of the worse designed apps for Android TV. The sports section does not have a list with all the sports. I have to search tonget the F1 streams. Also typing using your phone as a remote is a mess, space and backspace doesn't work properly.
Horrible app. After subscribing for one year. They shower with the same ads if its not premium. Whenever a call comes, you cannot restart without waiting through 3 ads to continue rewatching from the point where you left. Horrible!!!!
It's been sneaking in random shows to my Watchlist and "Continue watching" sections without my permission, shows in a language I don't even understand, shows I've NEVER watched before. I don't know if this is on purpose to get me to watch these shows, but it's not gonna work devs. Also, filter by language isn't enough to find shows I might like.
For me exactly everything is fine I have seen many serials and movies but i was watching my fav. show kalash ek vishwas first there were 518 episodes but hotstar provide 517 and even in season 5 some of the episodes are repeated, some are muted and some are shuffled please just fix these problems ASAP. I loved hotstar but after these issues I am kinda disappointed.
I am not able to watch live cricket matches after the subscription. I can only watch highlights without maximizing the screen. When I try to maximize the screen it doesn't play at all. This is frustrating
They are not trust worthy. They change the policy with out intimation or on any description before recharge. I recharged my Jio plan with hotstar and previous year it was working fine in my laptop and PC and now they changed that only work on mobile and asking for more upgrades. If they have mentioned this in jio recharge we have avoided it. Totally liar they are.
Beware ! Don't subscribe Premium Subscription -waste of money. Reason: 1. As claimed by the App, many Indian & International TV channels are unavailable. Most of them are farce. Only channel logos with ads of program are there. 2. Subscribers are cheated as live programs especially movies on Channels, are not same as DTH. 3. No refund of cancellation of subscription. 4. Worst program quality, content and streaming, better to use channel apps directly. 5. Only ads ads and ads nothing else.

I'm already a user with super user and subscribeer from last 2 years , So now they have updated t&c and now we have to pay extra for ad free experience , just wow , learn from Amazon/ Netflix atleast there current plan doesn't need to upgrade , for subscribing new plan they have to pay the latest amount. No thank you I will use other websites from now and won't subscribe from now. I've been subscribed from past 6 years and you'll loose alot of customers if you give ads on base subscription. I've been using the app for a long time and my experience hasn't changed a bit. The quality of vedio never changes according to our preference & vedios doesn't start playing despite having good internet connection. It's still a stupid app.
App not loading either on Android TV or firestick. It used to be a great app, however not sure what is the reason for this. I have a very fast internet connection, but the app just doesn't load. Stuck at the logo forever. Tried clearing the cache, uninstalling, nothing seems to work
There is a good collection of shows. I don't know why I have to watch ads when I'm streaming on my phone as I already have a hotstar membership. That is the only reason I am rating it 2 stars please fix this asap. Also the video quality changes on it's own when streaming on the phone.
Very pathetic. I chose your second offer that to connect with lap and tv, but connecting to tv makes me more irritating and impossible right now i upgraded to the maximum you are providwd but still connecting with my smart tv is a himalayan task. Do i need to buy disney as well as hotstar inorder to play it on my tv.
It is a great OTT platform! 😁👍 It contains all sorts of films from any film industry as well as it contains sports news and sport matches! Overall, it's a nice platform! 🤩
i am given this 1 star because You have taken the subscription, even then the ads come, the highlights of cricket matches do not play, the app is loaded while the app is opened and the video is playing, very useless things, the quality is not low and eats a lot of data, very useless things
Same issue as others the app doesn't work on Android, the content keeps buffering and does not load. I am wasting my time and money here. A reply and solution would be appreciated, if you really care and are professional.
Streaming premier league or watching movies has not improved. Still there is too much lag on Moto G71, it is unwatchable. Your customrer service didn't solve my problem. Fix the issue and I will give 5 stars.
I like the movie experience but one problem is too too many ads please stop this it hates me not one or two 3-4 ads at the same time it's annoying please , i already premium subscription in my tv but in my phone i don't have it when I go out and if I want to see movie which is in hotstar it irritates me a lot please stop this ....
It's the best. I have hotstar premium and I have never faced any issues. I think people complaining about too many ads are the ones who are watching for free. People, you are going to have to help hotstar earn at least that way. No one provides services for free. Take VIP or Premium if you are facing problem. I just have one request, please make a desktop app. That will make me give 5 stars.
Even with a good internet connection, hotstar doesn't load and gets stuck in black screen with loading symbol. My premium subscription is getting wasted as this seems to be in all my devices meaning there is problem with the app. Updates didn't fix it, neither did reinstalling. Please fix it developers!
I am using a paid subscription and your app is really so bad of lately it has stopped working in my Android TV and the fire stick. It's hung on the welcome screen and Hotstar does not seem to be interested in getting the problem resolved. If you cannot resolve the issue give back my money
This app all of a sudden stopped working in my VU television!! Even using Amazon firestick the app was not opening !! I was able to use this app in my TV daily basis but from one day it was not opening!! I have tried uninstalled and reinstalled the app several times in my TV but still having same issue !!
This app is not working on WiFi in some Android phone. I have good speed of internet and all other apps are working properly with WiFi connection. But hotstar didn't load video and showing connection error. I try everything, uninstall, re-install, upgrade and even clear my phone for better storage but this problem is still there's.
Worst app. i paid sub but ads are nonstop played not 1 or 2, its 3 and without skip button. What u think hotstar subscribers are fools. And separate amount for ad free videos. This is rediculous. Why in this world your app is so difficult and full of bugs? I've paid for the subscription and still I have to watch advertisement? Seriously? Yes, I've performed all the troubleshooting like restarting the app, re-installing the app. Checked the status of my subscription for N number of times. And I still watch freaking adds?
Ur app is not working properly in my android device. Whenever I want to see biggboss telugu it was playing for 5 min and then crashes. I thought it was happened for a single episode earlier. But later on the same problem continued for remaining episodes too. I have uninstalled the app and again reinstalled, updated the app too. Still facing the same issue. My subscription gone waste.
Worst experience, auto renewal money deducted from my account but not renewed either. It's been 2 months, whenever I message, I just ask for the screen shot of the payment, I always give the screen shot and but the refund did not come.
This is the worst app OTT platform as after purchased and premium platform still its shows advertisement, so suggest you all don't purchase Hotstar premium service as it's of no use, so be aware in taking subscription as its only waste of money. Dont purchase it as no add will be stop nor will give skip ad option which is the worst thing and then u have to bear the program with advertisement, so its better to uninstall it.
Videos are playing in slow motion like my internet is not working fine but it is. I have done everything i managed my divices that is two, i did uninstall the app and re installed it still getting the same issue. Although it's working fine in my tv surprisingly it's not working in my android device. Guys fix this issue by update ASAP
One feature that hotstar is missing in its app is, having an option to create multiple users in one account. This would make individual viewing experience better. Apps like sony liv and Amazon prime video already have this feature. I don't understand why hotstar isn't giving this option to its users.

Very bad experience...except for live matches rest all the shows keeps on buffering forever... can't see any of it because of the buffering issue...even though the net connection is great yet facing the same issue in addition if I even download the show or any movie it keeps on buffering and lagging as well... What he'll are you doing with your app? After the new update, the app is causing my phone to restart. everytime i log the app it works for 5-10 minutes then it suddenly stops and cause my phone to restart. This is terrible! 😡 If u are not gonna fix all this. I never take your subscription again and also make all my friends and relatives aware about it.🤬
Greedy for money. They play the ads skipping the replays unlike the TV telecast. And on quality front, even the costliest subscription gives a play back that is so much framing, not smooth at all. Plus the full HD looks like an SD even on a 100M net connection.
The app makers have started a new plan to enroll more customers to their premium package by offering the 3 months mobile only service at ₹99/- where the idea is to flood the users with loads of ads at frequent intervals so that they ultimately sign up to go ad-free. Another issue is stating HD video quality but it looks similar to 240p rather than 720p which is part of the plan. Seems like some sort of scam. They have an amazing collection of movies but disappointed with this cheap strategy.
Lots of issues. 1. Hangs very often while playing from downloads. 2. Download section hangs very badly. 3. The audio keeps playing even when the video is stopped and minimized. 4. Just starting and stopping of internet causes hangs on the video playback.
Fix your interface man, don't you think the continue watching tab should be right on the top? Instead I have to search through all different genre recommendations to find what I'm watching. This is annoying. Also, on mobile devices, if I pause let me just see the content, let there be an option that hides all the skip forward/backward controls
The video playback of series and movies are laggy and stutters. However, the IPL video playback is smooth. My phone is Moto G71. I request the developers to optimise the app. I have already email and requested multiple times but no response. If you can't resolve the jittery playback , better refund my subscription.
Hello team hotstar developers. So I am facing this issue where I open the application and try to watch some movie but I don't know what happens, suddenly my mobile hangs and after a minute or 2 I have to restart my phone. At first I thought it was my mobile's issue but this is the 3rd time it has happened when I open hotstar application. Please look into this issue. I even have a VIP subscription. Thank you 🙂.
Thank you hotstar for making this app worse with the latest update. Concurrent screen usage has changed to concurrent login. Now I have to logout and login each time I have to watch hotstar in another device. Where every company is looking to make the usage much more user friendly, hotstar is definitely going backward. And changing the plans unannounced should be Illegal and violation of policy.
It has improved quite a lot. But there are still many problems like downloads are not sorted for tv series it just shows randomly and its quite hard to find non-original content. I hope it'll get fixed soon.
App is good but hotstar really needs to work on its website. The website has many bugs, sound delay, sound cracking, buffering etc. I have 40 Mbps connection and still buffering. Amazon and Netflix can streame without buffering in 1080p but buffering in Hotstar. Solve the problem a soon as possible.
Suddenly no voice in all series. Only background music is being played. I thought my headphone has some issue but issue with app. Sounds n dialogs can be heard for movies but not for any series. This was working till yesterday.
I'm giving it two stars only for the shows that I'm able to watch only ("exclusively on hotstar"🙄)here. The streaming quality is not impressive. The mobile version has many shortcomings, overconsumption of mobile date is one of them. For the amount of data used in running hotstar for an hour, I could watch atleast five hours of Netflix or Prime video.
Overall experience is good. But there is no option for playing speed increase or decrease for movies and TV shows. So, add playing speed option like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video for better experience.
Apart from poor video quality and not allowing more than one device login, app doesn't even have something as basic as the option to change playback speed! All video apps have this option!!
Became the worst OTT platform after removing fixed quality videos and lower quality downloads like at 240p and 360p due to this, one video needs 100+ mb every time to get downloaded and also if we are watching online then we have to select upto some specific quality that too consumes so much of data. We can't use our whole internet pack on watching videos with too much quality. Just get those earlier quality preferences back.
This app is purposefully showing buffering while watching the shows( even with a high speed quality internet connection) for repeating the adds each time the shows or the app is reloaded. Viewers' time is wasted by watching the adds repeatedly for 4 5 times.
3rd class and lazy developers. App hangs a lot. Issues with live sports streaming. Sometimes pre downloaded vidoes does not play with poor/low connectivity. Extremly high repair time. Lack of diversity in movie collections, though it's better than Amazon India and Netflix. But could be better.
Unable to view Post match presentations for afternoon IPL matches. This is really disappointing since I really wanted to see who the man of the match was and see interviews which are all part of the match experience. It only shows a screen saying the match has ended and the next match has started. The chat bot is useless and doesn't have the option to reach out to tech support. Please fix both these issues ASAP
Great application. I deducted one star because incomplete PIP feature. If a video, let's say a live cricket match is being played in PIP mode and then if I go back to the application by clicking on app icon or from recent apps, the video closes which is quite annoying.
Earlier the app was working fine but since last 3-4 weeks its actually giving a lot of problems i am unable to play it on my android tv, also at times it doesn't work on cellphone. Many times after playing one episode of some series it says error please check your internet connection and try again. I tried reinstalling the app on both devices multiple times also tried talking to my internet provider but no use. Why is it happening nd what should i do to fix it.
It doesnt do one basic thing it is designed to do. Stream videos. It takes more than 3-4 minutes to load the app in oneplus TV. It goes all black after 4 minutes. I have to quit it and relaunch then it again takes 4 minutes. Every video start takes around 1 minute to load. Even after watching first episode next one again takes 1 minute to start. I tried clear data, reinstall, relogin everything. All other apps work fine in the TV except this. Terrible app.
While watching cricket, everytime when I minimize and maximize the screen, ads pop up. And not only one ad, 2-3 ads, what the hell is this and why? Is disney do not have fund to run this third class app or you are not getting enough money from the subscribers? You have great HBO series but still Netflix is number 1, kindly learn from Netflix.
Love the app , i am a vip subscriber and I am enjoying the experience so far. Amazing movie collection and at a very cheap price. The only issue or a suggestion I'd say is you should add a data saver quality like maybe 240p to the settings . Because when I am travelling and watching on my mobile data , i run out of it even when I set the quality to 480p. I would love if you add this option and I highly recommend it to you. Thank you for such a great app.
Why ads when I am paying for it. I understand it's cheap but MX player is free with ads. And you are asking for money and still showing ads. Content is also not that good for me to pay you extra to remove ads. Also for FHD why am I paying for 2 devices. It should be available in smallest package. FHD is the standard now. You are not Netflix so stay in line. That's why nobody even ask for your password. Everybody wants Netflix password. Lol. PS remove ads.
Worse app design. Not worth of money with subscription of 499. Iam not recommending this for anyone further. Bad experience in case of streaming vedios. In new Android versions vedio stuttering effect is horrible to tolerate while watching even with high speed networks also. I have issued this problem in helpdesk but no useful solution. At a time 3 adds inbetween while watching vedios- not tolerable.
Great app but I'm trying to play the IPL match highlights on mobile network and it keep on buffering for eternity but never play the video. First I thought, my network might be slow but now this is regularly doing this. I have also submitted feedback through app itself but nothing happened. And those 3 ads even after paying the amount for subscription is just another level of BS.
Worst experience with hotstar live matches buffering quality on pc and laptop browsers I have been facing this issue since I renewed my subscription. I have reported these issues with the customer support website and i have also requested to call but they didn't respond. I have been doing last 10 days and i got zero response. So much disappoint and it's very frustrating. I'm not gonna take any membership or subscription from #hotstar in future. Don't purchase the subscription for the web browser
Hey Devs, wake-up..!! Your app is not working properly on Android devices. Even though I've a good internet connection, videos doesn't start playing. If it plays, it starts with least quality. If I change manually, whole screen goes black. Inorder to play the video again, I need to go back and then play it, then works good. But I can't do everytime. I can't always use my desktop web application.
I Have The 899 Rupees Subscription. Overall Watching Experience of Live Cricket Matches & Movies or Series is Decent but sometimes it lags a lot. I've consistent Wifi connection & even other streaming platforms runs smoothly while running 1080p Full HD but Disney+ Hotstar doesn't does smoothly. Little Disappointed. After being a paid subscribed user I don't think this kind of thing is acceptable. Please Work on this & fix ASAP or I'll not renew my subscription. Improve it.
Instead of paying for every month like Netflix, i am happy to pay just once a year, most of the shows are ad free, so that's good, the only issue I have is that app doest stay in recent app, it gets restarted and also on Samsung TV there is not a manual switch to turn down FHD quality.
Facing a lot of issues! I have taken an annual subscription few days it works and after few days the videos doesn't play! App stops responding. And then automatically it gets closed! I have one plus 8t and i have seen same problem in other OnePlus sets as well.
Worst app. Once you download video you, you can watch it in offline. In case you turn on mobile data or wifi while playing downloaded video, it will start playing using mobile data. Then what is the purpose of download the video. So watching offline videos in TV by casting it is totally waste. And they will not release episodes on time. Then what is the point of buying premium.
Mobile subscription doesn't work properly.. as it stop after every five minutes and can't even watch 15 minutes hight lights... It's go back to main menu and start the whole video again.. I'm fed up of this app.. they don't even offer refund for cancelling membership..it's only been one week.. .i think it's Hotstar tricks for people to upgrade their plan and earn profit ..
Terrible experience on the app 1.Does to have landscape mode on tab while browsing. 2. Does not sync show between devices.3. Does not show which episode you are on. 4. No option to see just marvél or Pixar movies like on the website. Tons on bugs and crashes cancelled my membership cuz of all these issues.
While switching on to full screen mode by pinching out the screen, the video is zoomed, aspect ratio is not adjusted. This ruins the experience. For eg. When I'm watching IPL, zooming the screen cuts the scorecard at the lowest end of the screen. Please fix this Hotstar. By the way my device is Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G
I was looking for giving negetive stars but it was not there. I had done the payment for diseny +hotstar but I lost the phone and now when I installed the app in the new phone I was not able to access the subscription and when I raised the ticket they are telling it's a failed transaction. So check guys and make payment.
Literally I cant watch anything at this very moment because it wont play anything! it buffers and the app crashes, this happened after I took a 1 year subscription with jio just a few hours ago! I reported issues but It doesn't seem to be working. I checked my internet, other apps like youtube are working fine! It was my first OTT experience and I am disappointed
Im giving this a 5 star because, firstly the quality is very fine and i clearly didnt expect such a good quality in mobile, and pls the adds are very annoying even though thers ar i e only 2-3 adds usually the ads are really big like 1.7 minute adds are popping out! Thats kinda annoying...... i was also hoping more controll systems in the playback! And the maximum view covers a whole lot of space so yeah thanks! Hoping to be better so i can give a possible five star🙂👌⭐
Bad experience. Now this has become a common issue for me. Whenever I am playing anything on hotstar after 2 Or 3 minutes the playing stops. I have to restart again. Have cleaned cache/re installed app but still same issue remains. Very annoying. Hotstar degraded. Shouldn't have bought membership.
They have changed the video quality for downloads and online viewing high which is not allowing me to view in a slow internet connection. At least they should add an option for a lower quality for slower networks At least they should provide like YouTube - default some what high but they have an option to further reduce quality for slower networks
You don't allow us to record the screen that's ok. You don't allow us to take screen shot that's also ok. But whenever I'm seeing a replay of cricket match continuously 3 ads playing why was that? I don't like this. Atleast try to decrease the length of the ads. I really like this app .
Library is great but the app is very bad. They need to optimise every nook and corner of the app. Why do you have to log me out of other device everytime I login from another device? Netflix also has a screen limitation but they are doing it correctly. They just want to take more money from us. Also why is there no landscape mode in the app UI? Don't you understand sometimes I want to navigate around the app in landscape mode also?
While using Hotstar there is automatic video running and sound in back ... Its from video sound in the top table .. it was disturbing... It makes user to feel the app is not correctly developed. Bcoz after scrolled down also the video is running in the top .. Did your user experience designers not noticed this ?
Absolutely horrible experience. I have purchased super+ad free plan and all the videos are playing in SD. when I manually update the video quality to Full HD, the video turns blurry and blacks out a few seconds later. Money wasted.
The app is always buffering even with 80 Mbps bandwidth. Also logging out from a device when logges in with another device is really frustrating. The logic of now not allowing to watch more than 2 device is justifiable, but loggin out every time is really a pain especially just for 2 of us, we have 2 mobiles, 1 tablet, 2 laptops and a TV. Just for 2 of us to watch buying a plan of 4 is really not good.
1. There are no live streaming available on channels like star maa, maa movies etc while other apps zee5 providing live streaming channels. 2. No option to select the videos to playlist or queue. After current video ends it will play some random video. 3. Watch list option is not much useful as it will not auto play latest episode from each list. After video ends it will play some random video.
Worst app . There is no option for negative stars , so I am giving it 1 star . I am watching a movie, stressing on the point " watching " there's is ad . Poor services being provided by Disney +Hotstar. I have Made a payment for inr 149 for hotstar subscription. I have got a confirmation from bank that amount is debited. But still the subscription is not active. People please don't subscribe to hotstar as they will debit your money but keep u in pending status for not getting activated your subscription. Go for Netflix as they have better customer response and fast services, so that one doesn't miss on their shows.
Have been experiencing a problem with the app since I have updated it. When I see any show or highlights of the ongoing ipl match the video stops after sometime because of which I am not able to watch the whole thing. I have been experiencing this for the last 1-2 weeks.

Lot of issues with the app. Whenever I try to watch any show or movie the screen appears complete black, only subtitles and logo are visible. Help section is also not of use as all the time it makes you fill the same issue again and again. Complete wastage of time and money. Bad experience.
Absolutely terrible.First the app crashes I can't go beyond home.i re- installed hoping it would solve this issue but no luck . second ,what a scam ! Initially with 399 you could watch on TV and Laptop .Now they have increased the price 499 and you can only watch on phone .And mind you ,not add free .If anything ,this is scam .I will absolutely not be renewing my subscription.
Inspite of the internet working fine and other OTT apps running seamlessly, content on hotstar stops playing with error code PL 1001. Even if the content is dowloaded, it does not play. Also, many a times, the downloaded content does not load/resume from a pause. Even after raising multiple tickets, have not received any meaningful resolution.
Such a waste. I paid a premium to get 1 year subscription and every time I try to play something it says error has occurred (PL-1001). Updating reinstalling etc done 100 times. Even contacted hotstar support. No body is bothered. they got their amount already. And the only one at the loosing end is me.
Not sure what's up with the latest update. Unable to use hotstar app on my phone. Shows the home screen and when I click on any of the content app freezes and hotstar not responding comes. The app was good initially. But, when the dashboard changed it became terrible. One needs to scroll n times to watch the 367th episode of the show. Also, the search option is not to effective. Video quality has become poor. Irrelevant ads and unexpected crash.

Good Experience when it comes to streaming but in few films dubbing quality is poor, and subtitles are missing, and sometimes same ads annoy the viewer like me, not only that it has video quality drop issues after every ad then it goes to normal again means asper selection the video quality runs 720p. So these things needs to be consider.

Good app but there are multiple issues with it. Firstly, the mobile version doesn't seem to get good quality everytime. Even if the internet is good and I'm choosing Full HD, it still shows in a lower quality at times. Also, the app doesn't seem to stay in the background everytime. It gets refreshed after some time and doesn't stay in cache if I switch to another app. Overall the content is good and UI is decent, but pricing seems to be an issue as well.
After the latest update, I am not able to binge any movie/series. It only buffers. I wanted to finish a half-watched series this vacation, but that wasn't possible. I would request the technical team to kindly look into this matter and solve this problem as quickly as possible...Thank you
Not gonna say it's bad but. Lemme just say it. I'm enjoying a show and after 5-6 mins, 3 ads pop up. That is just so annoying!! It's not even 1 ad! But 3-3 ads in one time ahh it gives me so much annoyance. And sometimes a 2min ad pops up also bro I'm so done with this app!! And the scnd thing is that we can't even watch the video in hd. For that, we'll have to subscribe to this app! Wth is this system? I don't like it. And we can't even take screenshot and we can't also screen record. SO DONE!
I've been experiencing glitches since a lot of time, everytime I start a show the screen turns black, I've tried to Un-install and re-install but the issue still persists, pls look into this. This is very frustrating after paying your subscriptions and not being able to use them !! Kindly resolve this asap.
I am not able to play any video. Whenever I wish to see any movie or video the screen turn black and nothing happens after that. This problem is occurring from last few days. The technical team need to look after the issue. If this continues then it is more likely thar user base will shift to better platform.
Let for the buffering issues, and that some shows they advertise themselves aren't found... It's all good. So yes, they can improve a bit. Add options for notifications from other games besides stupid cricket too 😑. And having to tweak settings everytime during buffering is preferably avoidable.
WORST APP EVER , it didn't worked I purchased the premium plan but then it stopped working it literally stopped working, when I try open the app it just won't work it shows black screen and then shut downs it self. It was wonderful app. Recent updates made it bad. Issue like 1) Auto log out for no reason. 2) Auto download delete. 3) My phone was low on memory so deleted five episode of billionaire which I haven't watch nd can't download again. 4) 5 episode restrictions. Please note we have limited data nd memory nd all this make use of app difficult and annoying. Such good content get wasted with some of your policy. I can understand that you want to restrict single user but on same device why?
I have been using Hotstar for 1 year now and other then the occasional server problems, I haven't faced and problems from this app. But when today I renewed my subscription and when the app starting working immediately I received another msg from the app that my recharge has been unsuccessful and I was asked to repay the amount but the app was still working in my tv and phone. I don't know if it was a technical glitch or error but hotstar should update their communication service.
I have taken the Super Subscription and I am not able to play any videos on hotstar app. When I try to play any video the app gets stuck and nothing works after that and blank screen is displayed. WORST USER EXPERIENCE I am facing. Is this a known bug or not I am not sure but please fix it ASAP. It's really frustrating. If this keeps happening with me then I will stop using hotstar.
This app is worst optimised of all other prime, Netflix .You can download only 5 episode but even when you delete downloaded episodes it shows error and you have to restart app to download episode and it also doesn't support tws earphone pause and play and when you search news articles are Shown please add an option to remove them from search. The Live TV also has problem when you switch to a reply in match even live audio is playing
After update of Samsung UI 4.1, I can no longer run application in background. I only see a black window with audio. App does not show video content when run in minimized window on phone(S10). Reinstalled application but success. Can someone look into this please?
Various upgrades and fixes are still required to make this app as good as other OTT platforms such as 'Picture in Picture' View for mobile, subtitles customisation (mainly for TV), in app brightness setting and actually letting us select the Video resolution rather than just suggesting it. Also faster servers will be much appreciated.
The app has become complete useless, every single time I try to watch any video its getting stuck with a black screen. I did uninstall reinstall and the result is same. Facing this issue for around a week now, what is the use pf this app if I am not able to play any video. So disappointed with this.
Very bad app. Whenever I open the app to watch the match, it takes more than 10 minutes to play time and again and again the video stops due to buffering. The video does not even play and the combination of video and audio is not available. Please rectify this as soon as possible.
Whenever the ad comes in between the live telecast, the app crashes. Lot of glitches are there. Screen gets blank. Audio goes down. Such things happen only with the live telecasts only. I hope the team resolves this issue soon.
Total waste app. Video is buffering even after complaining so many Times no actions were taken. All they blame is network but how come every others apps works perfectly except this one. Uninstalled and reinstalled it like 5-6 times and also restarted my Mobile still no change. It's buffering buffering why can't hotstar take any actions and sort out it. Hugely disappointed. If I have seen the review I wouldn't have subscribed the premium pack. Will pass this on to everyone in social media. Thanks
Pathetic!!! After recent update, i never go from home page to any other page. Even homepage is not coming. I re-installed the app and selected the language and after that it never come to homepage. Even it is not working on my smart TV saying there is no internet connection however other app like Netflix, YouTube all are working. So i suspect, it is not the issue of connectivity or account. Something else is creating problems but this is unbearable.
Great content. But new update is bad. Earlier you good login to multiple devices with restrictions on number of parellal viewing. Which worked great. Now with the new change, login is restricted. For Someone who keeps switching between TV, phone and laptop this policy is such a huge inconvenience. I keep getting logged of from other devices. Even though all I want is to watch on one device.
I've installed the app and took the premium subscription. The next time i tried to access the app it doesn't open. I've tried reinstalling the app for 2-3 times. Only the app opens for the first time after reinstalling. I've paid the subscription and my money is being wasted. Please look into the issue quickly.
App is not working from 2-3 weeks . It shows a blank screen with a flash message of something went wrong. Tried everything - switching to different internet connection, reinstalling, restarting the phone ..but nothing seems to work. Is it a bug in the app?
It takes a lot of time or often the videos does not play even after clicking on them. I am trying to watch the highlights of ipl but it is making me wait for more than an hour to play. Disgusting, and this problem is being faced by me from a long time. I've seen many facing the same issue but Don't know why the technical team isn't looking towards the issue.
The app keeps crashing when I cast on TV through Google Chrome. It's really frustrating. Even reinstalling the app doesn't resolve the issue. It's a basic thing to check compatibility of app with devices and this particular issue keeps cropping up after every few days. Developers need to get serious here.
You have changed the video quality setting. You should have to both options. 240p to Full HD. If we have the option then we can watch in any situation because the situation is not nearly the same. Sometimes we travel to other place so we don't have wifi connection everywhere and please stop advertising on ongoing movie and show. If you do not bring its solution, then the users will gradually decrease.
You may be showing some good content. But as an ott app you are far behind the leading apps. Your user management is pathetic. Content cannot be customised on basis of profile. Leading content cannot be searched easily. Sports section is misrable. Cant watch live channels basically forcing to double fee for tv channel subscription and hotstar at the sametime.. deeply disappointed with you.. needs lot of improvement in terms of UI and navigation..
I am facing this issue since last 3 days whatever vedio am playing after every 5 min it's zoom out itself n close feels ... One episode I had to play it 20 times to see it full seems like the app crashing I tried to uninstal n install ... Reset my phone .... Almost 5 times like crazy n still no improvement .... Trying to contact on WhatsApp but the bot unable to understand my concern ... I want a call back from customer support with help as I have my subscription until October this year
Yesterday night I open the app for watching IPL but content is not opening, Buffering continued for 1 hour but still did not open. it's just showing black screen. I tried everything switched off and on Mobile, flight mode on and off , uninstall and install app everything done but still not working. I paid subscription for an year and this is happening, give me some solutions and update , not fair by hotstar
How many years will it take to create Android tablet friendly optimised application? Can't use this app in potrait mode everytime. All major OTT applications have landscape mode available except Hotstar. You'd think with Disney making the calls things would get better but it just isn't the case. Not continuing my membership once it's over.
The app is amazing, the content is also good the only feature that is missing in this OTT app is multiple profiles which is a best features if the account is sharing and if I am buying a plan with multiple device stream same time than there should be multiple profile option also. Currently I am having the old VIP subscription and I am not seeing any multiple profile option as of now.
Since three four days, the app isn't working. I try to see any video/channel/match, it just shows a black screen and message comes that the app is taking too long to respond. I updated the app, reinstalled it and restarted my device, but nothing still the same black screen. Please check where the issue is.
The content available on this app is too good. But the video quality it offers is not good; video quality is so blurry and it shows upto this much quality so we can't adjust which quality we want and if we download the video to watch then their also pixels appear in the highest video quality..... Also data consumption is more than any other streaming app

The plans are not impressed,in fact I will not subscribe any more. The previous plan of one device at a time was best . Am a student, I was enjoying in my laptop and mobile whenever I would to watch with single device subscription. But this huge plans couldn't serve the people like me. Videos are not playing well in Chromecast even with high bandwidth broadband connection. You should stop disabling the screen cast option for premium users since they are eligible to see the videos in their TV. With this restriction I am watching movies in my phone even if I have premium account.
After paying subscription amount not able to play streaming. Worst experience it's been more than 2 years issue still persit. Hoping at least in this year dev team would be able to handle this. If not then hire good software engineers with this subscription amount users are paying who should have solid system architect knowledge to scale this app.
I have watching bigboss for this it's stopping in the middle of the episode and it's loading a lot and wifi connection is good. I can able to use Amazon and YouTube too but for Disney hotstar it's getting trouble. I have uninstalled and installed it but the issue was same please check this issue and clear it
As long as this app was free it worked flawlessly. As soon as I paid the subscription it became the worst possible app available there. First of all it doesn't allow me to login. I live in India and bought the subscription in India. But whenever I open the app, it shows me that Iam in Singapore and the pop up appears saying "Seems you are travelling somewhere". Bloodly hell I never travel out of my city, let alone going to Singapore. Secondly, it shows is you are offline, while youtube works.
Absolutely terrible. First, the app crashes. I can't go beyond home. I re-installed hoping it would solve this issue but no luck. Second, what a scam! Initially with 399 you could watch on laptop. Now they've increased the price to 499 and you can only watch on phone. And mind you, not ad-free. If anything, this is a scam. I will absolutely not be renewing my subscription.

Most substandard playback by a premium video app, Do you guys ever use your own app? BLUETOOTH controls do not work. FULL SCREEN doesn't cover the one edge of the phone. Ugly PLAYBACK controls stay on the screen when you pause & try to read something in the video. And the only media app on Android that doesn't respond to sony headphones. When I remove the headset & put it back in, my last playing app before hotstar stars playing. Pathetic & untested.
Forcing user to click ads. I purchase basic plan still showing ads every 5min but that's not the issue the real problem is every time ads appear it does not close automatically you have to click close button which does not work and you have to vist ads website. Also now new kind start which shows survey form which does not close. And you have to fill or close app. And when you open again it start with advertisement.
All of sudden the movie gets interrupted in middle and very rarely or starts from the beginning. However, most of the time I need wait for even a day to resume the movie where I left it. Really disappointing especially when you are watching something and at the climax you see video not loading.
App has great content but one biggest problem is fast forwarding the content. I want video forwarding like swipe for 10 seconds or at least the fast forwarding option should be at the right and left corner of the screen so that while fast forwarding we can view the content without our hand coming in between. I hope being a great content hotstar will work at this issue at the earliest. waiting for the appropriate update
Worst app ever. I have recently updated it and it just shows hotstar keeps stopping. I have done all the possible solutions. But the issue sustains. I don't know what's the reason. I have finally found the bug, it keeps stopping when I use my Bluetooth earphones. Especially when I use the high definition audio codec hotstar keeps stopping. Still it's a bug and it needs to be fixed.
Becoming costlier. My viewing is limited to sports matches and occasional movies. Earlier with the basic plan (399) I used to cast the match and videos on my TV and watch with my family. Now after renewing subscription with 499 plan (minimum) I can't cast it to TV.. This is cheating. Even with the price rise you're not getting what you used to get earlier with lower price.. I have now stopped my hotstar subscription..
Hi there , Hotstar has really a good catalogue of shows. I'm giving it 4 stars just for a small flaw i.e, no jesture support for brightness and volume in the player. Each time I have to reach the notification panel and volume keys to change the brightness and volume. This is highly frustrating and disrupts the viewing ecperience. Please fix it ASAP.
Since 2 weeks, picture-in-picture mode is not working. This was after an app update, probably the one just before the recent update. I had reported this to the support team when I first noticed and the engineer who attended also confirmed that their device with updated app wasn't supporting PIP. I have checked and make sure all the app permissions are right. Reinstalling the app didn't help either.
Every video has an issue playing . Its like the frames are skipping the audio is beeping . I checked my bandwidth it's perfect .it works well on my tv but not on my phn . Weirdly the live works fine but not the other content. Tried reinstalling the app nope even that doesn't help
Buffering issue is there and no my internet is not the issue I have 45mbps and you don't even have a proper algorithm for ads or customer review, if you watch an ad and skip to some other part of the movie the ad shows up even if I just watched an UNSKIPPABLE ad for 2 mins, atleast on yt if I just saw one I won't see another for a little while, plus why don't you have a simple like and dislike system to tell the app what we like or dislike, also like yt and netflix, I am immensely dissappointed
This application is not working for me, videos are not at all playing. I've tried deleting the application and downloading several times but no use. Whenever I played some video it's throwing an error like video is not responding. Please resolve the issue ASAP.
I Already have a hotstar super premium membership still what I get is 4k resolution and unlocked content and I have to pay even more to get rid of advertisement. This is bad Amazon prime and Netflix takes our money and they provide a fantastic Ad Less experience with 4k 1080p resolution and binge worthy shows whereas you guys keep on giving advertisment after every 10 mins. I don't find my subscription worth it. Very dissatisfied. I may not continue my membership if this is not resolved.
Everything was good until the entry of too many ads, even after subscription, a series of ads ( that too unwanted content or irrelevant ones) after every 2 mins and to remove that I need to pay more? I'm sorry but I liked it before, hotstar was one of the apps I cherished but too many ads and that too with irrelevant content I'm really disappointed.
Something went wrong. Please try again. I wish I could say this in person to Hotstar. Pathetic application experience. Everytime one would open the app, you will get this error. No matter how much you try be it by giving all permission, clear cache, clear data, reinstall app, reboot phone; the application just won't start. Eventually I end up opening Netflix or YouTube. Definitely not renewing the subscription!!
While watching big boss suddenly it's starting from the beginning don't know why all of a sudden it'Start buffering while fixing this by skip with every skip it shows an add and after add also it's starts from the beginning. It's very annoying please fix this ASAP otherwise it's good app
Very worst and poor app performance...video will play once...ads are being played very much rather than content.. I have to close the app again & reopen it once and stream it again. Even though I don't have my video playing there...after all these....very very bad experience & performance of app. I think I've unnecessarily took a subscription plan for this app..
Recently, I have come across an issue with some videos not being able to load at all. Tried everything to fix it, the same problem persists with certain videos and it is always the same videos, like season 13, episode 1 of Family Guy. There are some other videos that won't load as well. Please fix the aforementioned issue for a better rating.
Easy to operate. Recommendation are very average. I have subscription of this because of marvel movies. Some content are outstanding but overall the app it little higher than average. Not like netflix, which has to much content. Or one thing not for those who like crime thiler aur romantic movies because they don't have much. Their are only few
This app used to be really good...but ever since my phone got updated to Android 12, all of the videos have a lower frame rate and video plays constantly with jitters(visual and audio), even when downloaded. At first I attributed this problem to my device but if had that been the case, videos of Netflix and Amazon prime should've been jittery too. But it's fine for the rest of the streaming platforms. Nor is it an internet issue. It's very annoying and i would want it to be fixed please.
