great app- you can use it to read or listen to yr books. one reason i use it is how easy it is to change the text- font, size, brightness, etc. and control the audio- speed, volume, time, pause, etc. I also like that it doesn't auto scan all the files on my phone &add them to bookshelf. and deleting books from the app doesn't automatically delete them from the phone too so you can keep just your current books on the shelf (diff from other apps)

It's a great e-reader app! It has multiple settings like adjustment of the accent as well the pitch and speed of the audio. A great way to breeze the the books without straining my eyes. It's like listening to a podcast while doing chores. And lastly it's absolutely free. I've been using this app for 3 years now and I'm very happy with the application

I have used eReader Prestigio for years and have recommended it to many friends. It allows me to consume a number of books that might otherwise still be on my reading list. I currently have two problems with the app: First, over the last year, the screen has dimmed and I do not know how to turn up the brightness. It is really irritating. Secondly, I want to buy the app, but I have more than one Google profile and it won't let me pay on my primary Google account. Fix that & I'll buy it.

Having error with login..I clicked forget password but still having error message.. It says "Unknown error" I still have the same error after reinstalling the app..I paid for this app but now I can't even login.. forgot password is not working..
Best reading app ever. I also use it to turn books into audio books through the voice feature. Just a bit of fiddling with the voices in order to find one that sounds pleasant and this app just can't be matched. I've recommended it to all my friends. 👏👏👏
I love the goal of this app but strongly dislike the interface. I wish the Play and pause wasn't a pop-up. It gets annoying trying to pause while reading if I miss the button.
this is a good app to write books with when you just want to fool around and save files and put them in a storage facility
very good looking interface, the only one thing your team should consider is to have the app load your ebooks as soon as you sign in, no matter from where.
Best e-reader ever! This app never disappoints and the fact that it is easy to understand, use and organize books, makes it more my top fave app.
The app is great but I would like if you could add an option to remove the progress bar entirely, I don't like seeing it hovering over my books. I get that there are more important fixes in each update but if you could pls make this happen.
Love this app but it keeps on demanding me to say where I'm getting my books from, personally I don't think they should worry too much about that!
I am giving a review after prolonged use of this app. Most importantly it supports several file formats and has a rather smooth interface. It's feature loaded (eg. built in narrator, an attractive and useful shelf widget, 30s rewind/forward buttons). My two suggestions to the developers: (1) the playback pause/play should be controllable from the earphone button & lock screen; (2) a 10s rewind option may also be provided. Congratulations for developing a wonderful app. Thank you!

Your app is one of the best, however, the interface is not user friendly. I recommend to make it easier. Further, I want the app to read aloud and sync the pdf file as well as the reading location to gdrive. I think I am doing it but not sure.
I have been using your product as Premium now for a month or so. Excellent product - however there are a few thing you could do to enhance the product. I read both “ordinary text” documents (news and books etc) and very technical documents (peer-reviewed science publications written in that formal language with numerous abbreviations) Ordinary Text Documents There is very little that could be changed in the product Technical Documents Technical documents are far more of a challenge for TTS, with references as either numbers or bracketed text) and a variety of local place locations. They are very rarely written in the first person. The following would enhance the product and make the product better for TTS on this type of document • A typical example of the difference is the word “My” and the abbreviation MY or My - being for millions of years. • Suggestion is to allow the creation of more than one dictionary as the dictionary required for Ordinary and Technical is often partially incompatible • Make it possible to enter more than one item in the dictionary at a time - at present you can only enter one - before it reverts to the menu The ability to ignore content inside of parentheses would be an excellent modification. Advertising I am sure this is a common complaint. As a premium user - the advertising is really annoying to the point of looking at other products. I am likely not alone and none of the premium users will click through the adverts - unless by accident. This is a serious negative. US$15 would seem quite fair but not if there is advertising. EDITED I have now been using the premium version for nearly 6 months. Some thoughts: 1) Switching between documents - sometimes Prestigio will not generate the text to voice and a re-boot of the android device is necessary 2) All to regularly Text to Voice - just does not work - does not start - a reboot seems to fix this 2) The advertising is VERY annoying on the premium version. Not too many products which have adds on Premium Versions 3) The Dictionary is great. However it would be more useful to have multiple dictionaries. I read general text and scientific research etc and the dictionaries are very different. e.g My can mean "My" but it can also be the abbreviation for Mill Years...

Edit: something's wrong with the widget which i love so much. It takes more space then it used to. for no reason. 5X3 when it used to be 5 x 2 Everything i ever wanted! Text to speech feature helps a lot but the PDF full page setting is off-putting. Why not make it like epub style? And count the the page for total page count?

Great application, probably one of the best of its kind, but unfortunately after the last update it no longer works for me. It crashes at the beginning every time. Restarting the device or reinstalling doesn't help either ... Edit: work again after new update, praise for Prestigio team.

Garbage. Takes forever to scan storage. No way to navigate file system to get to Downloads. Waste of time.
4
Wish i could get rid of the bar at the bottom that changes pages. It get clicked alot on accident. And can you make it so i can scroll and not change pages.
This app is really good, especially for reading books you downloaded from another source. But, I think an improvement it needs is being able to automatically detect new files and add it to the library, because scanning books can be quite annoying. Overall, this is an awesome app!
4
Upgrading from 1 to 3 stars. FINALLY the devs have the good sense to remove the idiot-minded forced TTS timing restriction. File management remains erratic, often messing up titles and actual files. Ads are bloody annoying. But I do like the overall layout and functionality, so this deserves at least an average rating. Will upgrade again if file mgmt stabilizes.

I have been a long user of this app and had no complaints whatsoever until recently. The app keeps crashing every time I open it, I've tried restarting my phone, deleting cache from the app, etc, but nothing works. I don't want to uninstall the app because I have a lot of highlights and bookmarks saved. Please fix this:((
10
A little wonky at first, but definitely the best app I have found so far that have a clean simple ui and could read books for me while I do other things.
No matter how many times I load, download or populate my books into your app, they inevitably disappear. I can't tell you how many times I've read through the bulk of a book, paused for a break and then returned to the app to continue reading, and my (heavily highlighted) book is GONE (along with all my other books). I end up having to reload everything... AGAIN and again and again, to no avail. And all my notes comments and highlighted passages are gone. VERY FRUSTRATING!
13
Apps been great so far. Better eReader than the one I was originally using, and the text to speech is awesome++
Great app love the design of it! However the ability to add books via Google drive seems to have stopped working for me
Very useful app but the only minus is that there is no highlight option. Please add this option we really need it.
Would be great if you could download a missing cover from the Internet like Moon Reader....But other than that....I can't fault it
Works perfectly on the Surface Duo. Split screen or single screen both work without any issues. This is the best reader I have found to read epubs on the Duo.
Great app but... I been using this for years but now with all the in your face ads it become a disgusting cash grab to force you to pay for ad removal.
1
i usually use tts to read the book, and now its broken, when they fix the app become useful again and i change my mind, but now its useless
1
I really like this app. Page and background customization is very beautiful and user friendly. I think it'd be great if we can use pictures from gallery as bookshelf background.
1
Hi team, i love your app but there's just one feature that would make it absolutely perfect: please add the ability to highlight and save texts from the book that we find are important for us to refer later. Thank you ❤️
2
Though it might be useful to some, this is ridiculous. Allow the option to turn off the sleep timer entirely (as before the update). This has been my "go to" e-reader forever, but after this update I will be looking for a replacement app. *Updated review*... Latest update gives the option to add minutes to the timer. THANK YOU DEVS! Once again this will be my e-reader app😁❤
17
Please add a feature to move the books library to SD card storage. Not all devices have large internal memory space. Treat as crucial.
2
Changed my review from 5 to 1 star. All because with the new update, this app won't let me read my books unless I allow it to access ALL my files on my phone. It even warns that it might access files without mh knowledge. I've been using this app forever now and it's time to change. It makes no sense that it need all access when what I need is to read my books. F.
19
it's great, and it used to automatically connect to Google translate so it makes reading in another language easier, but now it can't anymore. what happened? can it be on again? how do I do that? i can't find anything on the setting.
4
I like it. One of the better ones. But I can't figure out how to have the app scan and add books on an SD card... Also, can't seem to create an account.
2
I'm now disappointed that the Google translate feature is not available anymore after latest app update. It says it's not installed which it is and now translating is a hussle.
2
I have been reading books for about 18 years on my mobile. Since I installed this app, I have found what I was looking for in a reading app. Thank you and keep up the great work. Need an iphone version as well 😭
It would be great if there were an option to change the yellow background in text to speech mode. If your in dark mode the text is white and its impossible to read someyimes if you want to read and listen at the same time. I have noticed it's purple in savings battery mode if you're on pdf, but that doesn't happen if you're on epub.
5
Really nice app, I love the cover view and being able to sort books into collections. -1☆ because turning on night mode inverts all the colours, which is a problem for PDFs with colour pages. It would be nice to have the option to toggle off colour inversion for PDFs. Adding books to the library is really unintuitive; instead of allowing you to, you know, look through your files, you instead have to search your whole phone for a specific file type and the results are sorted in a random order.
6
Why do i have to close the book and reopen it to restart the TTS. The button goes away and there doesn't appear to be a way to get it back without closing and reopening the book. I chose this reader because of the sleep timer (which is great) but it's a pain to restart. Also sometimes you go back to a bookmark and then start the TTS and it'll jump keep jumping back to where it was before rather than staying where you just put it.
21
I love the app on a general level, it's really great. But one thing I'm not okay with is that we can't export our highlights as a book or note...that's the only reason I consider using "Pocket Book" some times, I love that feature a lot, but in other things, this app is the best. Just add the feature we can use to be exporting our highlights as a book, I'll not cheat again with another book reader.
56
The app is really nice but the developers need to do some improvements on the app. The female audio voice cannot be changed to a male voice no matter how i try, and this can be very annoying. Also the voice spells some words instead of pronouncing it and that's something very creepy.
9
Avoid this app. Trashed my file structure. I have lots (600+) of epubs, manuals, pdfs, etc. stored on my tablet. I didn't realize this app would move them from the SD card and fill up internal storage with them. I admit I didn't read the doc before installing, but neither was there a warning this would happen. I don't need one big bucket full of files that I have to dig through. I need stuff organized so I can find it. Now I get to fix this. Yay.
32
It is really fantastic that this app is for free. You only have to pay if you are looking for some extra or premium features. Moreover, it can open a wide variety of file types and really go for the extra mile in design (my favourite is how you can really "turn a page"!). All in all, it is a great application, and I'm more than glad I have came across it. More than recommended, and defifitely a YES from me! Thank you guys for your work!
8
The only book reader I use both for reading and text to speech. I also RECENTLY DISCOVERED it has a built-in MP3 player so I can play my old time radio MP3s on this as well. Handles every format it claims to perfectly love this app. The only issue I have is the audio on the ads are very jarring and can be inappropriate in certain situations.
19
Editing this review from 5 stars down to 2 stars. Used to have a great function that allowed you to enjoy listening to any book as an audio book. For a reasonable monthly price it had great audio reading quality. But now you have to pay double. 15 freaking dollars or else they're gonna pause your audio every few pages with a "sleep timer" no way to get rid of the timer unless you pay a ridiculous amount. Canceling the sub I did have with this app.
85
Truly helpful. It has customization of font type & size, spacing, highligh color, language and voice. It allows you to bookmark and resume with automatic setting. It also provides a timer to turn off the reading up to an hour. Capable of reading most audio formats including pdf and word. Very impressive and practical. Thank you for such a great app. :)

This app is awesome and has really helped me make the most of my commute during school. However, I'm a paid customer and I hate the ads! I think ads should ony be for those who don't subscribe. And I wish the play buttons were a little easier to use in the car. I wish I could tell it to skip or go to the next page verbally so that I could keep my hands on the wheel.
51
This would be a great eReader app, and honestly USED to be fantastic. However, it now rudely hijacks ALL vehicle Bluetooth connections to play it's less-than-stellar text-to-speech audio. I have an audiobook player app, an excellent mediaplayer app, and even YouTube. Regardless, when I start any vehicle and connect to my phone for audio, it somehow plays the embarrassing Text-to-Speech from Prestigio. I'm forced to uninstall this app when I'm not actively reading an ebook. Not cool at all.
15
Lose the mandatory sleep timer. Great function but make it our choice. It's indulging that in order to get rid of it you have to purchase a speach engine voice. I've paid for the voice I use. Why would you impose this? I would ask, as I'm sure your team is working on it, if your algorithm could avoid saying the headers and footers. I know there's an option to avoid reading a manual selection. It's great too but doesn't suit every purpose. Could it just mention "Table 1" & not read every word.
28
Great way to read more books during my daily commute. I can tweak the voice settings to get a voice that sounds almost human. It would be great if the app would calculate the duration of the book, based on the word count remaining and the speed of the selected voice (approximate words per minute). A limitation of text to speech is the failure to detect context. the sentence "George W. Bush was the 43rd President of the U.S." is read aloud as "George W." as one sentence. Future AI may help.

09/11/2021: UPDATE What have you done to one of my favorite apps? This whole issue with the timer on audio might end up being a deal breaker. I am NOT spending $60-150+ for an unlocked timer TTS yearly subscription. Forget about it. 10/20/2020: I've been using this book reader for about 3 years. Personally, I think the text-to-speech feature sets it apart from other readers, and I use it quite often.
42
Please add the ability to change the brightness with a finger gesture down. And I would like to have a choice of the translator, Google translator does not always translate correctly (in Russian language), so I would prefer to use Yandex translator, but it unfortunately is not available in this app. And this application does not show how many pages are left until the end of the chapter. These are the three things I miss in this reader. Otherwise, I am happy with the application.
15
Reader app itself isn't bad, but the ads are annoying and TTS is locked behind a massive paywall. Even if you have TTS voices installed, you're locked behind a short timer to use the feature The only way to get full access is with a yearly subscription. 100% unnecessary. Avoid if you're looking for Text-to-Speech.
Honestly this is a great app. I have all the files of ebooks I have imported to my phone and it has no problem finding them. There are no ads or interruptions while reading. It's very customizable with brightness and font size. It even keeps your place and licks up where you left off Over all this app works solidly. It may not be fancy but frankly it makes for a great reading experience.
40
I read a lot of magazines and books and I haven't had any problems with formats not opening, etc. The UI is intuitive (swiping for page-flipping, zooming by pinching/squeezing). Sometimes there are ads in the updates, but not that I've noticed with a file open. I recommend to anyone needing an ereader program.
12
The TTS stops when any phone interruption and doesn't start back up. You have to close the book and reopen it to start the TTS again. Happens in google and samsung TTS. Every think else works great. Edit: Now the TTS Timer is automatically set and can't be turned off so it will only run for a hour at most. Edit i guess this is feature not a bug. Looking for a new e reader.
35
This is my favorite ebook reader app, and I've tried some of the "best." It's so clean and very appealing to the eyes. I love the bookshelf look. My only problem with the app is that having an account is worthless, my notes and highlights don't sync. I can't change my account email. What in the world does synchronization even do? Please fix this! I love the app to much to dump out for another one, but syncing notes and highlights is kinda special to me, I love reading my favorite book quotes.
37
TTS functionality is very poor. Half the time it doesn't read in the continuty of the text and starts reading paragraphs on the other end of the page. Sleep timer is really annoying it shouldn't start as a default but should be optional for those who want to use it. Many a times TTS won't start at click of a button. Back button in TTS is essentially useless, it keeps repeating the same line over and over instead of going to the previous paragraph. App can turn profit if more consumer friendly.
28
With each update the app gets more cumbersome and anti-consumer. The most recent update added a sleep timer to the text-to-speech feature, which while possibly helpful if you intend to fall asleep listening to audiobooks or something, the developer made it such that you cannot turn off the sleep feature, meaning that the text-to-speech will automatically stop after an hour no matter what you do. Considering this is the only reason I really use the app, not good.
107
This app has so many bugs all the time. Really wish the developer could pay more attention to bug reports and testing/fixing the app, because there are not many alternatives. I reported a bug related to autoplaying TTS when bluetooth is connected in October, and it's still unaddressed. New timer feature cannot be disabled. Messes up brightness on my phone inside and outside the app... Etc. I really have a hard time understanding this as anything but a lack of effort. 🤷♂️
31
The app is good overall but the text to speech function annoys me I bought both the 590/month and the 190/month version but honestly the free version is better than both of them but even that is not smooth and there are way too many issues the voice breaks and distorts and sometimes it just stops functioning at all. I can't even seem to be able to cancel my subscription which annoys me even more. But I still can't deny that it is a good EPUB reader so two stars from me.
21
While I like the UI and the intuitive navigation I encounter some frustrating problems. One, my recent tab often shows random books I have never opened. Secondly and most annoying is my library is never present after the app has been closed. Upon reopening must do another scan in order for my books to show up again.
1
I recently switched to your app only because of the advanced Text to Speech feature. Though after a time, the ads started to annoy and I would have purchased the premium feature but.. Can you please add these advanced feature: 1. Automatic Resizing of the text area clipping the left/right padding (because on a horizontal mobile screen), the text size is too small for me to read the font while bicycling (phone attached to the handle) and listening to the audio. 2. In landscape (and/or horizontal) mode, while the text is being read out, can you please auto-scroll the paragraph being auto-read by T2S to the visible area (like you do with the pages, since you highlight the area being read but that goes out of view in landscape mode). If the second feature can be added quickly, please drop a reply here and I will happily upgrade to both premium of app and the T2S. In case there is a planned ETA, I would be happy to wait for it and not uninstall the app. Cheers!
11
I use this app to make audiobooks out of my favorite fanfictions/light novels from foreign languages to listen to while I work with its Text to Speak function. It's been very useful to me. I give it 4 stars instead of 5 because sometimes I'll be listening to the TTS, and then it will just stop out of nowhere, and then I'll either have to close the app and reopen it to get it to work or restart my phone altogether. This gets pretty frustrating as it happens pretty often.
25
The app is pretty good. I use the text to speech with the cloud text to speech subscription. The biggest problem is you need a very good connection to the internet to use it. 3 our of 5 bars of 4Gjust leaves the program hung up. You have to quit the book then reopen to get the voice icon back. Just stops read for no reason, even on wifi standing next to router. Premium voice is the ONLY reason i installed this.
16
I have nothing to complain about. The layout is clean and intuitive, it supports a vast array of formats, it has integrated text to speech functions for more accessibility. If you want to use it to read academic papers, or as a general purpose text-file reader there's probably more specialised apps for these purposes, but if you're just searching for a free app with which to read novels, you can't really go wrong with this.
14
There are some serious issues with this product (that cost me around 4USD per month). 1) The app constantly crashes, and does not read anymore (2 times out of 5 trials), even when I set the stopping time for a 1 hour interval. 2) When the app crashes, and you reopen the app and the book you want to listen to, the app opens in a completely different page. This issue always happens and is very annoying to find the page. 3) The app frequently takes some time (from 5 seconds to 1 minute) to start to read the next paragraph, this severely impairs the listening experience. These are serious issues because I like to listen to books while I am driving my car. I have to stop all of the sudden and turn on some podcasts because the app constantly crashes. Voice Aloud Reader is a far better option for EPUB and MOBI formats. However, I paid for Prestigio because I thought it read PDF files. I am not getting a good service for what I am paying for. You are supposed to use the app when you want, not when the app wants.
25
Phenomenal! I really like the app, but i would love to have a way to make notes, make a collection of phrases i found throughout a book and highlight them in it. Then you can have a section where you see the notes and highlights and why not be able to add tags to them to help categorize the notes. I hope you are working on this, but besides that it's a great app!
11
Very very very good app for reading ebooks!! It has almost everything you need to read an ebook. I am much happier that now we can share books also. The best part is that it allows you to switch between Google and Samsung TTS Engines!! Although it hangs up sometimes and there are some app glitches where i cannot see the pages of the book, but that doesn't matter since restarting it fixes the problem. THANK YOU!!
36
I've never used a more irritating app. I don't have time to describe all it's issues. To use the audio component, you have to stop a timer every. time. any thing changes, the book scrolls to wherever when you try to press the home button frequently but randomly, at which point the audio locks on to that region of text and attempts to (painstakingly, with many careful clicks) realign it mostly just refuse to work, so you have to restart the app and hope you balance everything just to listen. FTS.
13
I've been using it for years now. The TTS function and the whole interface is amazing. A recent problem in the latest update though is that whenever I use the TTS and lock the screen, it automatically closes (sometimes after a minute or so and other just after a sentence or two) And it's not related to the timer function. I hope this can be fixed in the next update. Still in my opinion, the best app I have on my phone.
9
Text to speech is acting weird(this is a key feature 4 me); It would not play back anything at first and gave no error message except to choose which engine I wanted to use.I figure probably have something mis configure and went through there setting and selected a voice and might have done some other things but it seemed to work now but i have not tested much. IMHO they should just select a default for you and let you change it in setting latter.
1
I used to love this app, it worked perfectly. Now I have two problems. The first one is that the files close unexpectedly, and this only happens once every time I launch the app, after that it works fine. The second problem is that the brightness level increases to the maximum when I open a file. I used to be able to decrease it in the slide down menu of my phone, now it keeps increasing no matter what I do. I updated to the last version of the app and the problems persist.
17
Pros: -Beautifully laid out. (Goes the extra mile with a bookshelf aesthetic) -Overall interface is attractive and fluid. -Lets you import from your files. -Zoom feature is smooth, responsive & simple. -Saves your progress when reading a title. Cons: -Odd-shaped books don't look right on the bookshelf. All books are the same size, & cover art is cropped accordingly. -Interface seems to lack some basic features such as the ability to skip forward or backward to a certain point in text.
9
Absolutely love it. Only thing, that should be fixed, is that the clock at the bottom right corner doesn't stay exact if you start using other apps, while this one is in the background. If I want to answer some of my messages and it takes let's say 10 minutes, and then I go back to Prestigio to continue reading, the clock shows 10 minutes less, than the actual time
36
Used this reader for years, it was logically laid out, simple to use, and sortable for an extensive library. Somewhere along the line, it's been bought out or the developers have gotten mercenary. Along with the annoying ads at the bottom of the main page, there are numerous overlay ads, mostly for childish games which themselves have all sorts of pay to play gimmicks. They are timed so you can't just bypass them. The reader has become almost useless and I uninstalled it.
3
I had love this app for so many years, it's just perfect to read epub books and has one of the smoothest transitions between pages. But since the last update the adds increased tons, and it interrupts while I'm reading and it is getting really annoying. I would mind to pay for a premium version without adds but I haven't found it. Please please release a version without adds!!!
13
I resumed using the app recently but I'm finding the ads when entering and exiting my books intrusive and sometimes hard to get around. I also can't find a way to change the settings so the reader stops TTS read-aloud after a certain amount of time. I would buy a paid version of the app to get away from the intrusive ads but can't find one.
9
The app worked great until the update. The new sleep timer causes the option for read aloud to disappear, not just stop. Rebooting app and device did not cause it to return. System settings don't allow for a time adjustment as claimed in the previous response. I would be fine with it stopping so long as I had the option to hit play or continue when it did stop.
20
I have been using this for years. I tried number of similar apps but this one has no match and is my favourite one. I would give it 5 star if it can have some cloud service to record the book along with the highlights made. This can be very handy for reading from different devices as well. The manual method of recovering the highlighted portion works fine when shifted to new device. But cloud service can be of great use. Loved this app. Thanks for making it available to us.
27
Absolutely Loved the dark mode! Please make an option to back up my books automatically in a drive in future updates. And make the collections feature a tad bit better so as to minimize the hassle of adding books to it. Overall this is the greatest and best reading app i have ever come accross even better than some that other well established companies have failed to do.
1
Edited: It does not crash on my tablet anymore. From 3 to 4 stars This is my go to ebook reader I've been using it for a long time now. I love the overall look of the app. My only issue is that the app crashes when I scroll my big coĺlection on cover and list mode. I have to browse a book by author to display only a few books for me to be able to use this. The problem is some series that I read sometimes have multiple different authors, so its an added effort on my part to find the next book.
25
So I downloaded several similar apps and decided to uninstall the rest. This one is the winner, exactly what I needed. Now my ebooks are well organized. You can get back to the last page of every book you recently read just anytime. You can pick the page color right for you, the brightness, and all customizable settings. And what makes it deserve five stars is that effect when you turn the page. Yes, that's also crucial.
41
I cannot change the voice in my phone's tts settings; I used to be able to so, so I could use all of the voices in other apps, but something changed and I am left with only one voice, and a not so good one at that. This app used to let me use the wavenet voices across my phone's setting with access to all of the wavenet voices, but now it doesn't, so I have to look else where. It was totally worth the money when it was working as it did.
12
If you want to use text to speech without a subscription download Moon Reader it is a one-time fee and I have been using it for decades. If you're masochistic enough to want to pay monthly for features in a software that is available for a one-time small fee this is the self buggering software for you.
2
My previous issues were fixed so I'm also changing my review. As I write this, I'm currently listening to an audiobook using this app. I'm not having any issues with any bugs at the moment and I'm having an amazing time listening while working on some reports at work. Gotta say that it has improved well. Great job developers!

eReader Prestigio has been my favourite e-book reader, I love the unique features of the app. I can increase/decrease the brightness, font size, the amazing thing of my books been read to me either faster or slower depending on my choice is fantastic. However, I would love the highlight button back, where I can highlight text with various colours. It's been a great app for me.
7
when you search for a word sometimes it shows the results of another book instead of the one I'm reading and also when I copy a part of the page some words aren't seperated and are instead merged this is annoying because I have to keep scanning through the copied text to make sure none of the words are merged or bugged I'd like a setting where you crop the white spaces out. Blue text/things and reference numbers are hard to click too without zooming in
2
I like this App, would be much better if you could continously scroll down thru the pages as not to get lost in where you are reading. It just flips the whole page either vertically or horizontally. If you can make it so I can scroll down to get any line of the text at the top of the screen then it'll be a 5 star app. Thank you, I'll keep searching for one that has this feature in Reading mode.
11
Has potential but when trying to make a collection it says that the folder that THE APP ITSELF MADE is read only. So you have to read everything straight from the SD card or you have to scan your phone every single time. Not to mention when reading a book, it has a harsh white picture behind every page instead of cropping to fit the page size and allowing to put some other color there.
9
Love the app so far. Was a replacement for my kindle app after amazon pulled some of the books I was reading I move all my digital books to caliber and need a read replacement and this one fit that bill and had great TTS voices that are better then the default voice Samsung and Google uses for TTS. Update: 11/27/2020 still love the app just that some of the tts I have constant issues with the payed one just cutting out on me half the time I have to go back to the default voices like Google.
6
Uninstalled because the text-to-speech kept starting every time I got in my car with my phone connected to Bluetooth. I don't have the patience to figure out how to fix this and didn't even use the app that much to begin with, certainly not for TTS. Whether it's the app's fault or Android's, not my concern.
3
Interesting app to listen pdf files and ebooks read aloud along with the text open on screen. Features like highlighting the text read, choice for text-to-speech voices, themes, option for rotation of screen and locking a particular rotation (portrait or landscape) makes the reading experience better. I have never tried podcasts and audiobooks because I think they don'display the text which is read. This app gives better tts experience at least to the one default in accessibility setting.
15
I ABSOLUTELY HATE!!! THIS NEW VERSION!!! They need to go back to the previous version. When you use the text to voice option the voice you choose keeps changing back and forth between some weird high pitched voice I didn't select. It's SOOOO ANNOYING!!!! They need to add back the different dialects and languages back.THIS APP WAS ABSOLUTELY PERFECT BEFORE THEY WENT IN AND SCREWED IT UP!!!
13
I had a difficult time trying to find a good reading app for my smartphone that included all of the features I needed and wanted. I researched online and searched through dozens of them in Google Play and none had what I was looking for until I found this one, the Prestigio eReader. It works great & has all the features I was looking for: reads multiple formats, connects to Google Drive, magnify font/page, day/night mode for eye comfort, dictionary integration, bookmarks...etc. I love it!
12
The app is one of the best apps out there but the update has not been great at all. It does not give you an option of the voice you really prefer to listen to. At the moment, it forces you listen to different unwanted voices by selecting one section. Please list the voices namely for selections if you can. For example; Brian's voice, Adam's voice, Elizabeth's voice, etc., with individually distinctive voices to be selected from.
30
After the update, the text-to-speech function has been over the place. Took long pauses in between sentences. Inconsistent voice between sentences. Chages pitch and sometimes voice all the the. I have been using the app for so long and this was the worst update yet. I will change it after a fix. P. S. I'm using the Google TTS
8
I have downloaded many many readers. This one has been more than excellent as compared to others. The integration with text to speech engines is seamless. I drive a lot, and this makes it easier to read my documents, no matter what the format is. 5 star rating without hesitation (and I don't review apps as much). This app should not be free, but is. Love it.
9
Good text to speech reader using Google's engine. Has a few problems crashing when skipping pages while playing but keeps my place when I reopen the book and sometimes the audio button will disappear and I'll have to restart the app. But overall it's the best text to speech reader out there and I've tried more than a handful.
12
the recent TTS update fixed most of my issues with this app! thanks! Now the only thing I would love to see is some way to set up auto-retry in case of TTS error. when listening in car, the network changes or small dark spots cause the TTS to shut down. While sometimes it starts up again, in most cases it crashes so hard that even the button for TTS disappears, and I need to close and open the book or app to get it to show up again. as you can guess it is really inconvenient while driving a car
7
This is a great app and I recommend it to all my friends and family. However I have one problem with it: on some books after a certain amount of pages the TTS just kinda stops and I have to stop and restart the playing. And it sometimes mispronounces words in weird ways, like pronouncing the word "union" like "onion". But beyond those couple of flaws this is still a really great app which I still recommend. If I could give 4.9 stars I would.
Good text to speech. I love the fact that I can use it offline. It's disadvantage is that it spells out capital letters instead of to pronounce it, which sometimes distort one's comprehension. Also, it doesn't navigate through empty pages between the write up, it stops at that point and one has to flip through the pages to continue. It is still the best I have used and still using. I look forward to the upgraded version of it. Thanks to everyone on the team.
13
Do not waste your money. When I tried the trial, I thought it was a decent app with some minor issues. Somewhere between my trial and when I was charged, not only did the price more than double, the app doesnt work! It skips around while reading. It will be in the middle of one section and skip to a text box on the side. You cant click the area you want it to read. The sound is terrible now compared to when I had the trial and because it's been over 48 hrs google won't refund my money.
13
Excellent layout, wide selection of accepted formats. Volume button page turning, night mode and font changing or resizing are all supported. It also has a nice visual representation of a bookshelf, which I like. Essentially it has all the features I require, without intrusive ads. In my eyes it's an excellent compromise.
18
This is actually the best app I've ever found for reading my pdf books to me! First of all, it's absolutely gorgeous - the interface is beautiful. They made it look like a little library. Next, you have the option of buying some special voices or using the Google voice. The app scans for file types it can read to you and it's really convenient and easy to use. 5 stars isn't enough for this fun, useful, and time-saving app. Definitely a multitasker's dream app!
24
One of the very few apps I can use to both read my ebooks on, and listen to them when I need to. Library system is a bit confusing at first, but not challengingly so. Books are easy to navigate, and easy to have read audibly. All in all a superior app for its designed purpose.
4
Absolutely loveing the app .I have been in a search for a good ereader app and I could proudly say this is the one.. controls are perfectly made they aren't too complicated yet you can still make em as simple as just scrolling... interface is amazing and so minimalistic...perfect for a reader...tho I have one peb with it... I like highlighting some words when I am reading but the app doesn't allow me to do that when am reading PDF files..hope that can be fixed. otherwise nothing..much love devs
Hands down my favorite e-reader app. Clean and super easy to organize my own shelves. If there's one thing I'd like to see added in the future, a manual/personal tagging system would make organization and searching for specific criteria that much easier!
1
Best e-reader I've downloaded. Well organized, playlists are easily created, nice cover presentation of my collection, and easy to navigate. There's an option to open the app and pick up where you left off, plus the screens flip from left to right rather than scrolling up and down like most readers I've owned. I love this app, highly recommended!!
63
The app is great. The text-to-speech is good as well with different speakers. Not giving the full 5 star rating because the app, at times, 1) tends to layer 2-3 lines on top of each other making everything garbled and 2) the format changes to 6 lines per page if you backtrack the last few pages. Otherwise, it's a great app with many great features, that too for free.
26
This app has been an exceptional one, it's one of the app I will request for immediately, anytime I happen to change my phone, cause it's great, from the arrangements and settings, I really love it,. But it does not open some files, but not too bad either. I always advertise it to friends too.
I like the look and feel, and it works perfectly most of the time. Every now and then it has some glitches with the audio reading (which I don't use much anyway) and with the embedded links for chapters or footnotes etc. not leading to the the proper page.... or not leading anywhere at all. These glitches seem to come and go. Edit - working perfectly
9
It's a really nice app. Reading has always been a challenge for me, sometimes I'm too slow, other times I get distracted. But with this app, it's like I'm being taught and I have to listen, I can cover over 50 pages in a day (no specific time though). But when this (-) is between a sentence e.g co-operation or when it is used to continue a word in another line, the app pronounce them separately.
55
Used to work perfectly; had a book binge this Winter, no problems at all and lots of neat features. Now though certain PDFs simply do not work with the app, every other page appearing blank even when the PDF is fine in other apps. Epubs still work perfectly though, great app, hope this can get fixed!
1
You need to make it possible to highlight and mark text on PDF. Highlighting only works on EPUB files and most of my files are PDF and highlighting makes it easy for me to revise a book. I believe its not too much of an issue to fix. Please fix. You should also make the app autoscan and add new files to the library when a new file is downloaded. It can be stressful having to scan every time and start sifting through the list. Thank you
19
Great app. Would give it 5 stars but it stops playing my audiobooks multiple times. I often find myself having to go back into the app and reselect a file to continue where it left off at. Besides that, it's great. Plays many different files even when you turn your phone screen off.
5
Overall very professionally done and quite powerful once over the learning curve. One bug I've encountered in the tty reader, if you try to go back over a page boundary it just loops you forward again wether or not you were paused. A second related inconvenience, if you turn off the tty, you cannot then turn it back on without exiting the book and then re-entering. If not for these I would definitely give 5 stars.
14
Used to be great but since the latest update or since I became a paying subscriber (both happened at the same time) it keeps randomly cutting out the tts and I can't get it to start again without restarting the app. I use this at work so the frequent interruptions are beyond frustrating. If it continues, I'll be finding a different app.
11
I've had nothing but a great experience using this app. Every book works well, if not a little differently depending on the format and file type. However, given the ability to perfectly resize content and even change the text size and font in the options easily compensates for any formatting issues. Great piece of software.
15
It's a decent app that I've been using for years and definitely prefer over others I've tried. It's got a few little quirks but nothing serious. The newest update did introduce a particularly annoying quirk which is why this is 4 stars instead of 5. That quirk is that after I pause the read-aloud if I get a notification it unpauses itself. It's nice that it pauses during a notification, but if I pause it, it shouldn't unpause without interaction from me.
12
Just perfect. The options are great, the monetization is perfectly solved by selling books and some ads which appear when you open or close a book, but never interrupt you whilst in the middle of something. Overall: perfect. The only suggestion would be an option to show all books on the device, no matter their location. This would make it easier to read books from different sources.
The ONLY app in Google play that actually WORKS as a book screen reader. Meaning a book reader. It reads your pdf'd book like a dream, flips to the next page, you can even tweak the voice pitch and speed and choose a voice. I'm telling you it's the only one that works because Android s*cks at screen readers. Thank you developers. I sent you a voluntary dollar. Whoop.
38
I really like using the app. It would really be nice if there's an option for two vertical lines you can move around for speed reading. Also, I found that when I increase then decrease the font size, I often don't end up with the same looking page, it might be that some paragraphs moved to the last page or the paragraph I'm currently reading on moved from the top to near the bottom. Also, it would be nice if there's no more cutting of words (example. /First line:/ th- /2nd line/ oughts).
12
Overall, it seems ok, but it is incredibly hard to use as has crashed numerous times, half of the advanced text and font options don't work and the text to speech option is really problematic and extremely limited. Why would anyone put a scrollbar right on top of the text to speech controls. One moment I'm trying to change the paragraph for text to speech and the next moment I'm on a completely different chapter, and who even uses that unintuitive or antiintuitive scrolling to find a page.
7
Excellent! A lot of capabilities at your service. It even reads footnotes belonging to photographs from the PDF files. It keeps records from where did you left each book you are reading. Because it reads everything as it is in the document by groups it finds like diagrams (that is not easy!) But Prestige does it! So there's no reflow capability because reflow destroy diagrams. So, as a very truly last word I'll say it does very pretty things others can't. That is it!
32
It's perfect. I find it more user friendly thsn the kindle app. I have been using it for a month. The only complaint i had was that its features seem to differ with different books, somehow. I can access the highlighter option in certain books, and cannot in certain others. That aside, absolutely awesome!
23
I love using this app to read my epubs. It is the most reliable I have found so far and the library feature is very handy. Lately I have been having a problem of the book suddenly leaping to the last page, but restarting the app brings it back to full function and in full disclosure I am using an older tablet so I won't blame the app, just sharing an experience. The app has done everything I have wanted for my e-reader.
23
Its a very good app. easy to navigate. When i'm doing my weekly chapter reads for my college course work it'll randomly shut off voice reader and when I turn it back on it restarts from the begining, other than that it's an amazing app overall it helps make studying easier for me. 100% recomend to anyone who has to do alot of reading as you can sit back relax and listen. You can also zoom in, highlight and bookmark important spots you can also make the background black so your eyes don't hurt.
1
Excellent Reader and Organizer. Very clean and easy interface. There are no intrusive ads. My favourite feature is the ability to create multiple book shelves. This is a unique feature that I haven't found in other apps. The function to search and add books based on a variety of document file extensions is perfect. Sepia reading mode is great. My only recommendation is to show a short introductio about the book when it's along pressed and selected. Appreciate the good work developers. Thanks!
1
It is good. Does what it says it does. But it is disappointing for lack of convenient adjustment of font size that fits the displayed page. When you adjust the font to legible size, section of the displayed page is hidden and you have to move the page left to right and vice versa to keep reading the text. I believe three stars are good for you until you solve this problem.
28
I would give it 5 stars but I really wish you could jump forward and backwards 5 seconds or 20 words when listening. For a dyslexic this is an incredible tool and age we live in though. Thank you for this. Of the devs see this. That feature would make this an incredible app. Also I hate when you go to pause and it starts the entire page over. When I go to take notes that really sucks
24
Great app for any use, from leisure and school reading to professional diagrams and papers. The only thing that I can think of to improve it is if there was a way to link collections or have sub-collections for grouping series or several types of books. F.E. School/Biology/Extra Research or Personal/R. J. Crane/Sanctuary Group/Ashes of Luukessia. Thanks for the wonderful app and all your hard work, keep it up!😄
5
This app is exceptional. I use it to listen to audiobooks. It resumes right from where I left off last time. Many thanks to the developers. Future editor's choice app this is going to be. But I still think you can make some improvements. With some small timy miny changes your app will be unbeatable.
16
Why does it insist on translating to Spanish? I can't seem to change that anywhere and I don't even have Spanish downloaded in my Google translate. It's not one of the languages I speak! The built in dictionary is dead and not support. And it comes with a nasty ad behavior. I am taken out of the app and into Google play store at random times. The overlay ads are unexpected and annoying. If that's intended behavior, that's highly disruptive and for sure won't motivate me to pay for an upgrade
1
I enjoy using this app very much and it has some very good features such as text to speech, keeping books and audio books in one app, good UI and design and the list goes on. But please add skip forward and backward button in the notification while playing an audio book and the support to use our mic button in our headsets to pause the playback.
7
This hasdone wonders for me during my master's degree program. I'm so much enjoying it that I think I'll keep using it to continue enriching my knowledge even after I graduate. MUCH better than talk radio–which is mostly ads and commercials! Sometimes some of my files haven't uploaded quite properly. Most do just fine though. It would be cool if I could highlight files in the same app as I listen to them in.
14
This app is generally great but what's frustrating is that it has suddenly become hard to exit. I click to exit then click ok, and it's still open in my notification panel. I have to then exit there. If I forget any of these many clicks, the app begins to speak each time I get a notification. This is incredibly frustrating. If this gets fixed I'm back up to 5 stars on this.
41
It's an OK app. For reading an epub it's quite good. A bit inflexible with some formats in regards to text size and margins that make some documents hard to read. It does display a lot of formats. The feature for reading to you works ok in English but is really appalling in Spanish. I didn't check it with other languages. The computer voice is annoyingly bad but functional in English.
7
Wow, I'm really impressed with the functionality of this app! You can customise it to exactly how you like, choose fonts and colours, have the words read out to you and listen instead, and turning pages is like a dream, they move like real paper, you have to see it to believe it! 💗 There is an FAQ page in the menu which is great - that I want to get round to reading as I'd like understand more. Altogether an amazing and delightful app! 💗5☆☆☆☆☆
15
I love this app. Especially its text-to-speech feature. My reading speed is not very fast so it helps quite a lot. Interface is good as well. Its store does not have the feature to search with respect to genre so I would like ot to have that. Also it crashes sometimes. But otherwise, the app is great in my opinion.
28
Great app, but one thing that greatly annoys me. There is a zoom feature for pdfs, but the zoom position resets every time I flip the page. Sometimes the margins are big, and I have no option to easily deal with it. Please fix it, have the zoom lock it's position relative to the page when flipping pages! Thank you.
49
Great app with really good features which help you organize your reading material. Neat and clean UI and the look gives a personal bookshelf feel. The only problem which keeps coming up is voice to text feature. This something that restrict me from giving this app 5 star rating. It'd be wonderful if the developers look into it and fix it. Cheers.
6
A decent app. While there are many better options to just have a reader app, when it comes to actually reading an ebook aloud there are only a few alternatives and most perform poorly. Sadly this one works, yet it has nothing special. In contrast PocketBook reader is way bigger, yet more polished and with a far better interface and AI reader is only 10Mb even if it has some hard to navigate menus. And both apps don't come with ads. So at the moment I could find one reason against uninstall.
12
It's very easy to use but It needs some improvement. Like; when you pause it and play back, it starts from the beginning of the hilighted text instead of continuing from where it was paused. Also it does not allow you to hilighted a text to start reading from... But it is one of the best apps I've downloaded so far👍👍👍
12
Superb App, but 1 bug and 1 bad feature: Tts doesn't play on bluetooth speeker. All the apps works perfectly fine even with my Alexa device, when i use it as a Bluetooth speaker, except this app, which can't play more than 1 line at max. Second, the scroll of book, right above the play/forward/back buttons is very bad. A single misleading press, and I lose my page and end up somewhere else. Please look into the above 2 issues.
20
The App seems to play the audio files alright but sometimes it cuts out and stays out til you hit pause and hit start again. Sometimes the audio wont even stop when you hit the pause button and in order to stop it you have to close out the app (5 star for sure if this gets worked on!) This app is wonderful other then that reason! :D
12
Good app but the scanning option is not effective and taking time... Each time we want to add something, we have to scan it all over again. It would be better if it connected to the storage directly so we can manage the data from files and the app at the same pace. This kind of separation just uneffective and taking time to adjust it. If it could use the targeted folder, it would be much better to open recent files faster and directed, example like download folder and it's subfolders too.
6
It is a great app that reads documents of a wide range of formats ad well as audio files. Its layout is clean and its customisable functions offer good variety to suit the preference or the mood of the reader. Its text-to-speech function is very useful but it may take some time to change the language or the voice of the reader (at times, it is only solved when I restart the app). Overall a great and very useful app.
17
Okay so I have to say to the developers how disgustingly disappointed i am at how bad, I mean really torturously bad this app has become. It was in my opinion #1. But now it will not even stay on but for only seconds. Sometimes I haven't even press to my home screen and it would already be off. This is referring to the voice reader. It just will not remain on anymore. And yes I have it set to keep playing while screen is off. The thing is, I just go to my home screen to open up a game as before
2
My only trouble with this app is that it won't synchronize very often. I have difficulty finding where I was when the app doesn't sync. It's also frustrating to struggle selecting the page I'd like to start on and then the reader continues with the page I left off on, I sometimes need to go back to understand things and having the TTS reader helps me learn but it is frustrating to have this tool fight me.
10
I love this app! Has a wonderful sorting system where you can make collections for different books, and it scans your phone for any downloads you have automatically. It's just very nice and exactly what I was looking for (I like to download Fanfics so I can sort and read them easier). Absolutely worth a few dollars to have the best experience too.
7
Edit: Even after updates app still sucks, I keep coming back to it because it used to be an amazing app. No support for the app. website does not work. ability to reset password or log into the account does not work and I have the premium version without the ads. Cant load books from phone onto the app needs permission but as I said cant log into the account. I believe this app is dead time to look for a new one. Shame though because this one had almost everything and I use it every day.
37
It's a laud reading app which I was searching for. The app gives you the option to pick different languages, even different dialogs. The screen color and set up is clear and easy to see. I'm not sure if you can change the speed of the speech. However, you can not move books on book shelves and can not customize it to read specific paragraph: The app starts reading from wherever it has stopped.
2
Very good app. I listened to 93 pages within two days, which I wouldn't have read up to 20 pages because of my busy schedule. However, I think the developers should improve the app to allow highlighting and editing like WPS. Also, the app reads foot notes and cannot pronounce some words in capital letters. It sometimes double spells bold capital letter words. Please work on that. Nevertheless, this is a very useful app.
6
Been using this app for several years. It's a bit funky in looking up my books, as I have to do a full scan to add my ebooks, it seems this has been changed. Plus it's light, barely any ads, if any at all. UI is easy on the eyes, and you have a few options to make your reading is pleasureable. If you'd like something simple, effective and straightforward in using, download it!
Great ebook reader! I just wish there was an option to make most of the screen touch insensitive (with buttons to change the page) like a real book, I hate that I have to hold my phone by the edges all the time and when I accidentally touch the screen.
Hands down the best app for EPUB with TTS (text to speech) support. This app is best for reading as well as listening to your ebooks! Has dark mode, font controls and all the features are highly customisable to suit your needs. You can change colours, heading sizes, margins, font families and sizes as well. And you can also change the default robotic voice to something more realistic. A lot of voice options are available to choose from along with speed control. Highly recommended!
19
Books disappear I have downloaded many books, scanned them with the app and placed them in collections for the future. But whenever I close the app all the folders become empty and when I scan to find my books again to place them back it says I do not have the permission to do so. I believe that the books are there but I am not permitted to see them or edit the folders since they return after I fiddle with the scanning or other related actions. Very inconvenient and would like a solution.
4
This is the best app I've yet to find! It has so many different languages as well as so many different accents for he English language like Indian, Australian, British etc. though all are in the English language still. The best thing about this app is that the voices though not human do not sound robotic though the ones that do a bit you can just change the rate or pitch of the voice/accent you've chosen and modify it until sounds most human to you. A+++ app! Thanks for everything! Blessings
Very useable - better than Kindle, which was originally on my Amazon Fire! Would give five-stars and pay for it if 2 other features were present: 1. Automatically recognise my external SDcard - on Android 7.1.2! I can access files and use 'Open With', but that's not ideal. 2 Table of Contents tab is too simple. Needs to display 'expandable' Chapter numbers and titles by default - tap on chapter and sections are shown - similar to Windows file system navigation panel. Then it would be perfect!
2
I'd give it more than just 5 stars 🌟 if possible.... It really is an awesome e-reader application... The only drawback i can think of is that it takes so much time to scan your device... And i don't know if we can set it to just scan a single folder.... Because, if we could then it'll be very helpful and less time consuming. Fix this one issue otherwise it's a really great app...
6
Great if not using audio, but I heavily rely on audio books, and its frustrating to have restart the app, find my book every time it freezes during listening. Most often new chapters, in pdf form it's just the first line read before freezing. I mainly use epub, but In one hour it can shut down a dozen times. Also wish that the cover books on the shelf could be enlarged to read titles better for sight impaired readers. Fix the first, think of a way to implement 2nd and this app would be great!
9
I like the app. But since the last update (few days) it's crashing every day. If it's a foreign language it crashes as soon as you try to open a book. In English after several minutes. Pleas fix!!! Update: It has been fixed. Thank you. Changing to 5 stars.
After using it for a few years now I think its about time I gave a rating. Earlier versions back in days had some stability issue which was addressed fast and dark mode introduction was great addition along with text to speech which works great for all pdf and epubs which I usually read. This made it easy to use and fact that I don't have to really think or figure out just tells how nicely everything is setup. Drawback- longer scanning time for file. Small but is present nothing that harms exp.
19
I love how customizable this reader is! I've removed all the margins and reduced the font size to my liking. I don't use the text to speech feature, but I've tried it and it is great for people who like this feature. Let's face it, every app can read these formats. So customisation is where you rate the app. And I loved it. I even like the fonts in this app. 5/5. Also, there are no intrusive ads when you're reading a book. Only in the book selection screen. So there's that too.
9
Very useful app. There are several issues that come up when using text to speech that really make it undesirable (it vocalizes certian punctuation: ' " ; amoung others). It also drastically mispronounces certain words!!! Is there a way to fix this??? Would rate 5 stars if not for this.
1
DO NOT USE THE SCAN FEATURE AND DELETE!!! This app just deleted all of my media files off of my phone despite my unchecking of the box labeled: Delete File from phone. Honestly, so many hours wasted. Not to mention the library management is convoluted. I was simply trying to scan a single folder with my books enclosed. Instead it scanned the whole device. I recognize this may be user error, but the method in which a scan's results are undone is murky and mistake prone. Tedious
100
When it works.. it works well. As long as you don't click or push any other buttons you can enjoy your book. As soon as you click something though... you're sucked into an advertising vortex that is difficult to escape from without shutting down the app and starting from scratch. Luckily it will save your place in the book if you were wise enough to choose that option during setup.

I really like that this app allows you to listen in multiple accents, many of which sounds natural. It's a much more enjoyable experience than listening to the Adobe PDF reader. The app stalls randomly, so you sometimes have to pause and restart or reboot the app. Updates are continually improving the bugs however so I will stick with it.

Edit* Please fix the english male voices!! Voices aren't working. App is great for different formats of books. It's the only one that will play most of them. I mostly use the audio. There is a decent amount of voices but many don't work. I also have a huge problem with the app shutting down the audio at random. I can't find a reason or solution for it. I would switch if I can find another app. I use it for work and am not allowed to get my phone out to fix the issue.

When listening the forward button is too close to the progress bar and I hit it accidentally which is very annoying. I can't skip the voice to say all underscores when reaching a new page. The listening experience is great, but the buttons and UI are clumsy! Hope you improve the UX because the app does the job very well. Thank you!

Reads so many formats! Love it. If the dimensions of the book or page is very long, or short and wide, it simply won't show part of the page. Part of the page is gone. Hope that gets fixed. Perfect otherwise, with great features.
Chose this ereader specifically because it is one of the few that has OneDrive cloud support. Works very well and is my preferred E-reader app, has the best and smoothest page turning transitions to me. Could use an in-app brightness meter. And be aware that there was a 8 month delay fixing a Cloud API error. App still worked during that time, but importing was more of a pain. Dev seems back on top of things now.

I love this app! However, since the latest update, every time I open a book, my screen automatically down, which makes it difficult to read during the day. There's no setting to control that, and my phone's screen's light setting disappears when a book is open. The FAQ link, found in the app, doesn't work. And the English audio voices are just pretty bad when it comes to pronounce words like "beingness" My main problem is the screen's light that automatically dims down. How to fix this issue?
Update - hangs a lot since the last update! :( It's a wonderful app. the library is very well designed, at times i jist browse throughout, it looks that good! But one important feature is missing - kindly add option to share the pdf/epub from the library. searching books is much easier here than the file manager, so sharing option would greatly enhance efficiency and ease of use. keep up the good work! :)

The audio reader could be better. There is no acknowledgement of a period and one sentence runs on into the next. This is very annoying and difficult to follow. There is limited control over finding the location of a specific document that you want to open. It only finds your documents by the file extension.
I have used this for a while now, and this app is pretty intuitive. I like its formatting better than other readers and this was the only reader that displayed text rather well on my tablet screen. Actually, I compared a few e-book readers to this and this app displayed the clearest view of PDFs with no lag. The only thing I'd ask for would be the function of highlighting PDFs. Other than that, it's my best bet!

The app was decent for a while, however when I changed or loaded books an ad would play, it doesn't matter if an ad had just played right before, it played again regardless. I'm not wasting my time and generating you money just to open my books. There are other apps out there who do the same thing and don't lock you out for 20 seconds whenever you want to use a basic function of the app.

So glad I found this app. Stumbled across it whole looking for something that could open a difficult file. It gives the convenience of e-reader staples like bookmarks, keeping your place when you close a book, tags, etc to standard pdf files (and other file types) that can't be opened in things like Kindle. It also has a really nice visual bookshelf, and you can even change the look of the shelves. Super happy with it!

There is much room for improvement. Some issues are probably more obvious to the developers than others. For example, playback shouldn't automatically stop after just minutes of starting a read-aloud section, and that I had to press the play button again. However, considering it is free and it is not ad-supported, it is a helpful app.
4
There are still improvements to be made: Text to Speech should only highlight sentence by sentence. There should be an option for overlay (tapping on the screen interrupts the overlay and hard to access the settings). Text to speech require more customization; +100% speech rate is not sufficient for speed readers. The bookshelf theme is more of a hindrance than aesthetics; the files should not be scanned throughout the system too; it is messy and clunky. Otherwise, the app is perfect.
3
OneDrive support is not working and devs just let the option in as nothing has happened, feels like it's been abandoned because of that. Other than that is a great ebook reader, the features like add-on dictionary is great, I love the clock one touch away 9n the interface so I don't lose track of time, and the brightness quick adjustment. I would love to have third party dictionary options for other languages though.

For the past couple of weeks I have had several issues with the app on my phone & tablet and in conversation discovered that others were having similar problems on their devices. 1. Audio feature sometimes reads one word and no more from several books. 2. While in audio mode the reading process will freeze and the app will have to be restarted 3. While reading both manually & in audio mode the app may exit the book or shut down entirely. Prior to this I've had no issues & would have rated a 5

Best when added a feature to be easier to click the text we want to be read. I mean, previous and next button is great but it would be greater if you can make it easier. Also, there are lots of voice choices. Maybe you could name them by describing them, (e.g. this one's for learners, this one is for novels, poem etc.). Just make it more efficient for us on choosing a nice sound we want to hear. I hope this suggestions may help you improve you app.

Great app. I like the text to speech engine quite a bit. It only shows adds on the bookshelf screen and when leaving a book to go to the main menu. I got a new phone and it doesn't have media buttons on my lock screen anymore (which means I can't pause from my Bluetooth headphones either).
Good app, the ads that pop up on the volume of their own while I'm in a meeting after opening a document are really annoying. I understand the importance of ads to your income structure and the fact that this app is free but please find a way that they are in sync with my phone audio settings. I had to delete it unfortunately for that reason.
Thumbnail loading is super slow, and the sync function works only half of the time. Book placement constantly gets lost in between devices and the overall layout of the app is dated. I did not enjoy the experience at all. I emailed developers and never got a response on a simple question, which means they just want your money and do not intend on making updates that matter to users.

I honestly like this app a lot. Firstly, it opens files of a wide range of formats. Secondly, its text reader is the best and one really feels like listening to a proper audiobook while using it. I just hope they give easier options for adding notes to texts, underlining etc (if they haven't already; I haven't updated it in a while).
opened a PDF told it to start reading and it would literally only read the page headers. I didn't come here to hear "page number one page number two page number three..." I came here to hear the contents of those pages. so I went on to edit the headers out of the document, then it removes the option of reading the document from the menu. terribly implemented.

i am dyslexic and got this app to read pdfs aloud for me. it worked better than most so i give it a 2, but it was not sufficent for my needs so i sought a different app. the biggest issue was it could not restart after pausing anywhere short of a paragraph. that isnt to bad on its own, but it occasionally saw an entire page as a paragraph so i would have to skip re-reading or re-read after half a page of confusion.
Really excellent app for eBooks! However the voiceover option is somewhat clunky, and can only target whole paragraphs. Meaning, if you accidentally hit a wrong button or missed a few sentences, you have to start the voiceover from the beginning of the paragraph. Other than that, this is the best eBook reader app I have used so far!

I used to like this app, but I just updated it and I could not believe they added video ads to a book app, it's really annoying and it feels like too much. Also, I just tried to add a couple of books to the collection and it ended up removing all my books and my advance on them. The scan book menu is counter intuitive and too simplistic, it lacks labeling, descriptions and comfirmation of action.

This is a really amazing app. I think it's got the best reading experience. But I'd just like to point out that the text-to-speech options and a lot of background options aren't as flexible for PDF files as they are for mobi and epub formats. Also, whenever i switch storage all the work I did organizing my books gets erased. If you guys could fix all of that, this app would really become a dream reading app! Please do.

Too many bugs. Can't log in, (why is logging in even necessary?), will not send password-reset email, registering a new account won't work, must select birthday from calendar rather than typing it in and calendar navigates one month at a time, has no auto-brightness so it's useless if you have it dim at night and try to use it next in broad daylight. I'm looking for another app unless this one fixes some of these problems.
5
It's the only app which can be set as a default reader for mobi files on my tablet if opened from a file browser, but the app is garbage... It won't even let me scroll to page 1 - the book's cover. It only goes back as far as page 2. The settings and features are also an annoyance. The final installation is twice as big as the apk. Bloated.
3
Versatile and supports all the book formats I use. The main reason I love it is the text-to-voice opion. I believe posibly the only reader that has this amazing ability. I think the annotations could be better and the citation can be improved. But for an average reader it is more than just an average app.
1
Great reader if it worked correctly. You can mark stuff and jump to marked places, however, this feature works rather randomly. Sometimes not at all, other times it works and then it suddenly jumps back to the page you were at previously. Same goes for jumping to different pages, most of the time you get sent back to your former page. The app looks great, though, very pretty and well-structured. Hope its problems get fixed some day. 9
It's really useful and has a good design, like the text highlighter, bookshelf widget, and the page flipping animation but I wish I could change the covers or thumbnail for the book I'm reading because when it's in Covers mode the title is hidden so I can't tell which one is which. I have to go through each one to find it or I have to go to List mode just to find the book. Edit: Bruh......your update just deleted all my bookmarks and highlights on all of my books 凸(-_-)凸 -(1) star
5
I've really enjoyed this app, and the widget you have for it sold it and had me deleting my other app. I must say that there are some places that I hope for improvement: 1 - When using the audio function, you have to reselect the voice that you want every time you close the app and reopen it. 2 - Just as in a physical book, this app allows you to bookmark a page. But when you are using the audio function it becomes frustrating that if you pause, the page will start from the top. Thank you Lwazi

excellent thing to read with, occasionally my volume buttons fail to change page but you can just exit and restart, no other issues. great software. oh, an emergency contrast area would be good. So tap top right and it goes bright, since you try and read outside and can't see anything when you were last reading at night.
2
Excellent app and would love to rate it 5 stars if you could update it with a timer in text to speech reading. I listen to the ebooks at night and it ends up playing the entire night with no option to pause it and is a hassle to turn to the last thing i remember before falling asleep. And i face a lots of crashes here and there so would appreciate a bug fix or something.
A very useful App with a TTS reader. Though, I wish I could pre-select a default voice that's not a system voice. As it is, I have to scroll through tons of voices every time I start the app or open a new book, which is a huge pain. Also, I have lots of difficulty verifying my email. It just doesn't say what the problem is.
11
This app has always been reliable. It is constantly being upgraded. they just recently added the option to read from text in PDFs.The text-to-speech works fairly well and has voices that don't sound so robotic. You can even use in the background so you can listen to books while traveling.
4
the bookmark is actually useless. it doesn't let you jump to the bookmark on clicking it. I had trouble finding where i had left off searching the words in the book mark. It would be so much easier to just click on the bookmark and the page opens up. secondly, the note function also has the same issue. I personally feel the coloring and noting function is useful to highlight something important.but what is the point of highlighting something which you can't refer back to!!
15
great app, could use a few tweaks. quirky brightness control on my Samsung j7.... have to get out of the app to make it darker or brighter. can't change when reading. and when zoomed a bit to fill the screen, then switching to the next page it's off center. not smooth page flipping when zoomed. just sayin. but all in all, good app. I like it and use it daily even with its little issues.👍
The app doesn't allow you to access the full text of the bookmark on tap, the navigation bar moves up and down, changing the page count with it, so you can't access the required page by number at all. This doesn't bother you whatsoever, unless you ever want to reread something, or skip ahead a little, or read another chapter/story. Seems like the buttons are intended to have that functionality, yet my phone is unable to recognise it.

I've used/tried many and this is by far my favorite/the best! I love it! I really just wish that I could sync to my Windows 10 tablet! I'm looking into other solutions for that since this doesn't seem to be compatible with Windows. I've been waiting a long time for a Windows version and it doesn't look like it's coming so I may need to look into other options... :( Devs if you read this, please consider a Windows version. thanks
I normally listen to my books but when I can't find one on audio I use this program it's a fantastic eBook reader and will read the book for you. that's the part I like. I just wish support would be more on top of it. I wondered if they had a timer for the Reading part so that it would stop in case I fell asleep. But I never got a response. otherwise it's a great little eBook reader better than Kindle sorry Kindle.
First rate app with a highly accessible and intuitive interface. Integrates a wide variety of formants. The text to speech function allows for pitch and rate adjustment which makes listening more enjoyable. This feature is very important to me as it allows me to read for longer periods and under varied circumstances.
35
Its a great concept; however, it is absolutely impossible to understand because its flies through periods at the end of a sentence like californians at a stop sign. It just does not make a stop; therefore, making it imposible to understand. If only the developers could add a function where the pause time before and after the periods and comas could be adjusted, I would definitely give it a five stars review.

Best free app I have ever owned.. I download all my study notes on the app, press play on the text to speech then let the app read my notes back to me. You can change voice speed and sounds really easy. It does have bugs when you change pages or zoom at times but it does not happen all the time and this is me being very picky. But it's free so you cant complain, it has some ads at the bottom but doesn't stop the ap. Far best application I have came across!!!

This app is awful considering what it advertises. If I just want to read a pdf, I'll use my phones default app; I downloaded this app specifically to read the pdf for me. It is inconsistent in reading lines. Sometimes it reads 5 lines at a time smoothly, and for some PDFs it can only process one line at a time. The voice takes a pause each time it reaches the end of the 'reading block'. It's super frustrating when the thing reads like 10 words, *massive pause*, then starts the next line.Garbage.

this could have been the BEST ebook reader out there.. like in every way possible (at least according to my personal preferences) but then we stopped getting updates. what happened? it works perfectly fine only when i'm reading for now (i don't own an 18:9 ratio phone yet) but since the updates stopped i'm sure at one point i'll encounter a number of problems with this app and am going to have to give it up and use a different one. this is so sad.
6
One star off because you can't control the reading volume independent of the music playing volume when using them both at the same time as my last e-reader could do. Also, it stops reading when the phone rings but when I answer the call it starts reading again and the person I'm talking to can hear it. Other than that, this is perfect.
I've been using this app for a long time and it worked perfectly (Samsung J3). But when I changed my device to Huawei P Smart the table of contents was no longer working! As well as search by word! It just doesn't move to selected page. So it is impossible to find something in a large book. I am so upset. Can this issue be fixed?
2
I like the app, ans its functions. May need some improvement in the search, but I do like it. The only reason I give such a low rating is that it provides many ads, which requires the internet. However, when I go to the "store", it says it needs a connection, or that a connection is required, which it obviously has one since there are too many ads. Also, with text to speech, the book will continue to be read despite force shutting the app.
13
It does the job. But it has glitches that make it annoying. I have a pdf with lots of "bullet points" indicated by a diamond shaped bullet. It actually calls out "diamond point" with each symbol. I'm surprised it doesn't call out every comma and period. It also says "use the arrow keys to turn the page" at EVERY SINGLE PAGE. It's getting old really fast. And the controls are difficult to use. sometimes they disappear. and there's no way to bring them back up without turning off the scree

3 things that annoy me and keep me from 5 stars : 1: Having no choice over using ColorDict, that app that displays ads over the definition of words. If it offered to pay to remove the ads, I would. I wish I could choose the dictionary app. 2: Having to constantly sign back in. Go to sync your books, takes forever to prepare only to be told "You are not authorized". It's annoying. 3: No option to read book blurbs and info without going in the book and at the same time placing it into Recents.
Used to be my favourite but recently the word lookup function has become useless as definitions in the popup window are completely covered by ads... It was fine when it was definition and ads, but now no bit of the word definition is visible and there is no x to close the ad window nor resize window option. This is completely destroying that function and thereby the experience. And before you ask, no I'm not writing a feedback email, you can create your own ticket.

This is a great app. My only issue is that i can only add books to the "recent" section and i cant add any books to a collection or even make a new collection. Removing old books from the "recent" section also doesnt work. An error in permissions pops up when adding to a collection for sd card but ive made sure all app permissions were granted in the settings. My phone is Samsung s7 Marshmellow. A fix would be appreciated because I really love this app
A generally impressive app, which reads out html, pdf, doc etc. Good choice of voices/accents, but defaults to an annoying American one and has to be changed to another one every time it starts up. Some voices struggle to pronounce really simple words: the British Female 1 voice says "toe doe" for "to do", "soup-lee" for "supply", which don't reflect any accent I've ever heard. Also suffers bad distortion for a few seconds when the page being read auto-scrolls.
1
This app is amazing! It can read my PDFs and I can customize the rate and pitch of the voice. It can get files from other parts of the phone and see if it can read it as "book." The only thing is that the Categories are all the way down :/ They should be on the top and with color code. I recommend this app. I am even planning on paying for no ads.
34
This was a great eReader, but not sure what happened during the last update. It no longer adjusts to the brightness of your phone's environment in the book you're reading. I tried everything from adjusting it in the phone's settings to Prestigio's text color setting, but no matter what book you read, it remains very dim. It's now only good for reading in dark environments, which doesn't work for me. I'll need to uninstall it until it gets fixed.

This is a good app for reading various formats and you don't have to do much to get your book, just scan your device and add the books you want to read.....however the app constantly freezes up causing you to restart your device because you can't get it to stop or even turn off, always sticking after a few pages of listening ... needs to fix that problem fast, I have to now uninstall it cause the freezing up is too much.
It has sent bugs. When playing on the background, sometimes it freezes and I can't pause it. Also there are no settings for skipping headers, footers and unwanted texts or to change the pronunciation of certain technical words. Overall it is a good app.
Samsung Galaxy S8: I have been through a few readers, with lots of promise, but functions, and level of interruption by ads, changes to code and support, responsiveness of developers, etc., have landed me here,.. And this is where I am staying, for now,.. The developers have really crafted a very stable, trustworthy app, IMHO. ONLY ads I encounter are after using to view a doc, pdf, what have you - and they are easily 'x'd out. I actually don't mind watching, because the app is highly functional; I particularly enjoy having books read to me as I work,.. and can chose differing 'voices' so it's not monotonous,.. This is a must have app, that frees you from the more nainsteam commercial apps, that handle digital documentation. Keep up the great work!
A brilliant app. I was using the UB reader for the past 3-4 years, but the added functionalities in this reader are just great. I have just a little quip though. Please consider adding a small bar at the bottom when I look for the meaning of a word instead of opening the dictionary app. It disrupts the entire reading experience. Fantastic reader app. Loving it.
12
Better than the alternatives I've seen but I still have problems: 1. It never SAVES the language I select. 2. It's constantly failing synchronisation. 3. I have to zoom out and back in every time it changes pages otherwise it will move the screen where I don't want it to with every new line it reads.
1
The text to speech reader is the best thing about this app. Sadly for normal reading, it has one annoying broken feature - hyphenation. Or as it is in the settings - hypernation. Just about every line ends with a hyphen, which is poor form. I recently paid for this app to remove the ads. Never noticed the hyphen problem before then. I have tried contacting the dev but have had no response and it appears this app is no longer maintained.
Like that I can upload my own ebooks. Also like the read out loud option - whatever it's called, but it keeps crashing on me like 6-8 times throughout the day I am listening to the book. I wish it just kept working! Please fix it and I'll add 5*s, no questions. Bonus if you pick real bright, sharpie colors for highlights. That'd add a lot.
Great app. I love reading but I don't always have time for it. So this really helps bridge the gap when I have other things that I need to do. There are customizations for the voices and a night mode which is great for reading in bed. Only problem that I seem to have encountered was that it will occasionally skip a page when the voice is reading but that could be due to my book, not the app.

Unable to find a way to get my Echo or Google Home speaker to read PDF files to me (because I like to "read" books with my eyes closed sometimes), I decided to give eReader Prestigio a try. After stumbling around for a minute or two in the app's interface, I found the voice controls. Once I got the thing going, it was just a matter of testing about a dozen voices before finding one that was fairly intelligible. The next challenge was finding out how to resume the voice reader other than at the very beginning, for which, I discovered, there are at least two methods. Fortunately, I'm able to Bluetooth (yes, I'm making "Bluetooth" a verb -- or should it be "Blutooth?") the audio from my Android phone and tablet to my Google Home Mini smart speaker so I can listen to the pdf file on it. It all works fairly well -- except for one annoying detail: when I re-start eReader Prestigio, it doesn't remember which voice I so painstakingly had chosen (therefore 4 stars instead of 5). One other small matter (too small to affect the rating): the new FAQ link doesn't work (maybe because they haven't updated to a secure, https site?). When all is said and done, I'm actually rather impressed with this app.
Only been using it for a week and so far it is okay. It allows me to highlight and take notes on the doc which is important to me as I am a beta reader. Occasionally the app freezes up for no apparent reason. I haven't been able to open the "Store".Too much data for our plan? And every time I close the app, I get a popup for Audible, which I already subscribe to and told creepy-google ads to stop, so that's annoying as heck. For a free reader, it's not bad, but I only have it because I HAVE to have one. The second I find a better one, I'm done.
