App is ok, the map is the most useful thing, otherwise it's a bit clunky to navigate, the my day tab should be more obvious, also, certain attraction lists have the LL option whereas others don't. The home page is too cluttered. They should get rid of the tutorial and. Once you view it.

We successfully used the updated app on our recent visit the last week of May. While it's functionality sound, it does drain your battery, especially with use of Genie+ and Lighting Lane. We always keep fuel rod portable chargers and swap them out in park to keep enough juice to last until park close. Also, the character finding feature seems to be missing. We found it difficult to locate walk around characters, and the only ones that were easy to find were the "character spot" ones stay put.

Generally I like the app, but there are a few things that could be improved. For example, when you're making a park reservation as a magic key holder, there are too many clicks/windows involved. And from the main page of the app, it can be confusing as to what are ads/recommendations vs actual reservation details.

It needs to be simplified. It takes way too many steps to get to what you need. Also, not very clear on explaining how everything works and what is needed for your day at the parks. Do I need certain things for rides or things like Star Wars or to get a fast pass? Bottom line: More clarity. Also, reserving a day for tickets, getting there is not simple. And linking tickets. I go to usethe app and it asks for me to reserve my tickets when I already have done it and link them when it is done.

Don't waste your money. This app was very buggy, most of what I tried to use it for was not allowed, Disney wanted even MORE money for those. It also was not clear about times, often said "unavailable" for everything. When it finally worked, the "privileged" time was only 5 min earlier than the regular line. So I only got to use it for 1 ride, $40 (for 2 of us) right down the drain on top of the new increased parking rate of $35 & all this on top of their exorbitant entrance fees.

There are some great and convenient perks of the app, as well as some opportunities for improvement! The digital park map and pre-ordering food function were both great! The est. wait time for each ride was not accurate enough to be helpful and i issue I had an issue with the room unlock function. It worked initially but stopped on day 2. Both great ideas, just could use some more work. All in all, a solid 4 out of 5 stars is not a bad rating!

Simultaneously overwhelming and inadequate. Not intuitive to use and yet they insist on making you use the app for everything. Many functions just launch a browser and point it to the Disney website. Answers to simple questions are either buried under pages of useless search results OR you have to call a phone number that takes legit research to find. To make it more aggravating, cast members love to shirk responsibility to help by saying "it's all on the app."

The app is just horrible. Not only is the lighting pass a JOKE. when booking times it will show one time. For example 11 Am to 12pm but once you book it, the time changes to 1145 to 1245. Ordering food was the easiest. But overall my Disney experience was by far the worst I've ever had. The app didn't allow us to choose rides we wanted to go on for the lightening passes toward the end of the night even though it showed times available. Disney definitely needs to fix that.

This app is terrible! The lightening pass you pay 100$ plus for but you can only pick one ride every hour or after the time frame given. Some times two hours or 4 hour wait time for rides. You also have to pay extra 20$ for the most popular rides even if you have LL. Mobile orders disappear when ordering food. I had to look at the App more than enjoying the park because it was so complicated and time consuming to use the LL and order food. It helped with navigating.

Wait times are not accurate. This is in the app and on the signs at the attractions. Sometimes they are close, but other times it seems the lightning lanes get all the spots and the wait time can be double the posted time. This happened to us on several rides. The real problem is probably poor lightning lane management. Back to the app, when you click on an attraction to get a lightning lane, it shows the whole list of lightning lanes and you have to find the attraction again and click on it again. We had a super large group. I think it probably works best to get everyone s accounts linked together, but we didn't do that so we were constantly coordinating to get lightning lanes together.

Really bad! Hard to find useful infotmation. Slow, chews up battery power (bring a portable charging battery with you to the park). I was unable to locate food menus without going through remote ordering. Map isn't intersctive. Tap on an attraction to get --- nothing! Want to know wait times for attractions? You have to look at each atytaction individuslly, there's no simple quick reference list. I could go on but no more space

The app is making it next to impossible to use my park hopper. I can't easily change parks or look at lines before hopping. The ability to make lightnig lane reservations sometimes dissappears. I find the app to be frustrating and it is wasting time. I can't believe I have to use it to access the features I paid for.

it's ok. I find myself using a printed map in the park more to find where I want to go, then just check the wait time on the app. The food ordering feature isn't convenient because you have to pick time slots 30 to 40 minutes after ordering when you can just stand in line for 15 and get your order. When searching dining locations, it doesn't let you know when restaurants are closed unless you go to a separate screen. Not helpful when you're just browsing for somewhere near by.

This app is all over the place. No way to mark a ride or event to see it later in like a schedule view. Tickets are given behind a hamburger menu. Tips are useless and take up almost all of the prime space. Events are down on a day by day basis rather than a schedule. Randomly crashes.

Most frustrating app on my phone. Can never find the most basic park reservation features. Only one person in a group can make and view ride reservations per day. After you make a park reservation, is a maze to locate it in the app. This app will triple your stress levels on a hot and busy day.

It is THE app for Disneyland; it has a lot of helpful resources to find what you need during your trip there, it is pretty key to the modern Disney experience. One annoyance is that the app tends to crash. It seemed to be restarting evey third time I opened it up. At least the app isn't forgetful, you can pretty easily resume from where you left off. Also, there were a few times I attempted to pull up a lightning lane pass and the app just showed a blank screen. I had to force quit and restart.

The map could be much more interactive. Or when I select a food or ride experience, I should then get an option to see it on the map. It should all be inter-connected: select a ride, find it on the map, see wait times, height restrictions, book Lightning Lane. It was not so easy to navigate.

Confusing, full of "you need to buy more things go more places". The app is focused on Disney and their profit rather than what YOU want to do. The Universal app is much better, faster caused on what YOU want to do rather than what THEY want you to do. If the app is hard top use and the "developer" keeps having to explain how to use it, as they do here, the problem is the APP not the user. Thanks for the feedback. Clearly based on other feedback this app needs a redesign, I'll edit my review to leave more clarity but remain unconvinced.

It's terrible for navigating the day-of. It's hard to find the wait times and then when you find the ride you can't access the genie feature through it, you have to find it somewhere else. It also has a hard time updating the parks if you parkhop. It's very chaotic and not simple, seamless, or easy to use.

Not at all intuitive, multiple locations do the same thing/provide the same information. Must close and open app often to remain fresh. Pay no attention to all the notifications you will get, there seems no way to figure out what they are for. A good start for sure, but it has a way yo go to be as effective as it could be.

The app is bit complex. They really need a better UI. Other than that, it really worked great for Genie plus. If you know how to use the app, you can get most of the important rides before 1pm. Important to set a separate time to know when you can schedule another ride. Important to keep a eye on the times and judge which ones are good. It is better to do times under your 2hr mark so you can schedule the next one just after you scan. Also figure out how you can cancel a ride incase of changes.

This app was helpful and made our made our experience smoother and more efficient. There's a learning curve with the app though, because the useful part takes a couple clicks to navigate to, but once you get there, it's such a good tool. The map is amazing because it tells you wait times on all the rides, you can find bathrooms, food, etc so easily and adjust your plans accordingly.

So far, Overall, I like the app, but there is one thing that frustrates me, so far. I practically have to redo the Genie plan your day thing every time I come in. Im not seeing a way to go back in and see the selections I made the first time without having to go through all the steps again from where it says "Let's get started". I should be able to do that once and then access those selections again at any time.

Navigating and booking anything via this app is not intuitive. Utilizing this app was amazing for former visits; however, it has been opaque and frustrating for every transaction attempted as we prepare for our next trip. Unfortunately, as cumbersome as this is, it is still the only way, besides actually calling for each individual need, to put together and plan one's day. I am overall displeased and dismayed that this is the provided tool to navigate our trip.

Extremely useful when you're inside the park. The app has lots of useful information to make the most of your Disney trip such as ride wait time, the ability to order food ahead time and suggestions on how to make the most of your trip. Warning! The app coupled with location services drained my battery faster than normal.

Serves it's purpose I guess. It's not at ALL intuitive for people that just want to check wait times and reserve a fast pass timeslot. Seems designed for people who have NEVER visited the park and have zero organizational skills as it insists on displaying itself on your personal planner for the day. It's tedious to navigate even when you get it down and is a downgrade from the previous versions.

In my heart, Disney can do no wrong. So, I like the app & have practiced using the features before I head to the park. The only thing I don't like is the amount of time you have to use your phone/app now, in the parks, to have a good experience. Aren't we on vacation so we can get away from technology for a while? Well enough of that, I like the quick access to info on the app, doing mobile ordering, etc.

I thought this app was horrible. When reserving a time for a lightning lane if you did not refresh the tip board then once you book it the time might be 20 to 30 minutes later. If you refresh it and you are on a park hopper it resets back to the disney park so you have to change the park each time. Figuring out linking the tickets was a challenge as well. Seems silly for these small annoyances not to be standard operating procedure.

Works well for the most part but lately (with DCA Food & Wine fest splash screen) the app crashes on startup. Also very annoying that you still cannot make a park reservation directly within the app, it still forces you to a browser where you have to log in again (zero SSO implementation). This app should work perfectly with how much Disney is raking in on a daily basis with the app alone.

This app isn't super intuitive, which is surprising given how amazing Disney is in every other respect. It's klunky (at best) in how to link family tickets and the planning feature was almost silly in what it doesn't do. I have no doubt Disney will continue to refine and make those improvements.

Not user friendly when trying to book lighting passes or navigating the site. Wish it was easier to look for the list of rides and then to choose which one to get passes too. I felt like it was always chance that I would find it and I wish it was more straight forward. Also would be nice to have a way to see where the nearest bathrooms are (maybe there was but I couldn't find it.) Definitely a learning curve so get familiar with it a few days before going.

2/22 No virtual queue. Less crashes. Bizarre interface. Ordering food is somewhat better. 10/21 Laggy. Crashes. Confusing interfaces at every turn. The virtual queue is a slap in the face to every guest who doesn't win the completely random lottery. The entire app seems like it was never tested by a real guest, or that it was designed to waste guests' time.

I'm not thrilled with this app but it's better than nothing! I was trying to set up our days for our visit using the Genie+ section and it is really just a list you make yourself. No real guidance. It was a "no" for any book ahead dining reservations as well. You can't look at the food menus unless you choose them as part of your list so to peruse them all you have to choose a max of 5 at a time and then delete those to look at 5 more.Trying to find a link to pre-buy parking was a challenge .

Absolutely HORRIBLE & SO Frustrating! It's the ONLY way to book dining or fastpass entry to rides, but it's clumsy to use and incredibly difficult to navigate. Reservations can be booked 90 days in advance! So you definitely can't get one for same day. But you can get on the standby list! But only on the app, not in person. And you have to be close by the restaurant to use the app. And it has to be right after they open, but the app doesn't tell you what times they open! Also no way to call

While I appreciate aspects of the app and love that you can see wait times, order ahead, etc, this app is badly designed. It feels messy, cluttered, disorganized, and hard to navigate. Even trying to make a reservation for the park through the app is difficult and hard to navigate. Four of my friends and I have passes and we've resorted to booking through the website and going through the additional hoopsto link the ticket to our account, or we just go straight to our emails to show our barcode.

Used app at Disneyland, and we ended up only using it to book passes. App is difficult to navigate (and app developers, suggesting that we use the bottom navigation does nothing to change the fact the entire app is garbage to navigate). Didn't seem to be able to buy the genie pass for only part of your party, so we ended up buying it for all the passes. Struggled to navigate with the map (what if I want to look for certain shops? Why can't I see a list? Why can't I filter for mobile ordering?)

Not as intuitive as it should be. People really look forward to Disney trips and are often times overly excited. The planning of the trip can get stressful because you want everything to be perfect and this App is not as easily used or intuitive as it should be to help those who are excited, stressed, and anxious trying to plan the "perfect" trip. Once you figure it out, it is a helpful tool and has all the info you need to make you're trip magical.

App needs to get over some hurdles... My daughter uses a wheel chair, and we used to go to the guest booths to schedule rides. It's now added to the app and you can do it all yourself. Easy, right? Not quite...we had many issues where the ride we picked didn't go through correctly,or all of our passes didn't scan, so we'd lose our spot, wasting our time waiting again. Cast members couldn't help with those issues, except to share the frustration of the new app changes not working for them either

New app is way too complicated compared to the last version. Genie plus could be so much easier to use...kind of like max pass which didn't take forever to load and would actually show you useful information. The new app does not update wait times quickly without logging out most of the time and it ask you if you want to purchase extra rides that are not included with Genie before moving forward. Just make it simple. This is ridiculous.

Disney app is somewhat useful but has too much marketing emphasis and not enough helpful information. Seems like the most common feature people want is to view a map of Disneyland. The map is only found by clicking around in the app and accidentally finding it. However, the genie feature is in your face right when you open the app. Clearly the focus is to get you to spend more money

They only want you to pay for Genie. It's not made to be usfeul. Designed to scroll through advertising of there pay more after dropoing $1000+ to get your family in the park. You must use the app is ridiculous. Menu options are not direct to your tickets, reservations, map, food ordering, and other regularly used pages in the park. App should be user friendly, quick access for everything needed as you are in the park and make the experience enjoyable.

I've been going to Disneyland since the mid 90s. This is the worst Disney experience I have ever had. I'm currently on my second day and would have got a refund 2-3 hours into my first day if it was an option. App is terrible, just a way to add more cost to your trip. You are essentially being charged 2-3 times for an experience you already paid for at the gate. This is our last trip to Disneyland for a long long time. Just bundle the extra cost into 1 ticket price! Not a happy place anymore

It's OK. Still figuring it out. 3 stars is generous. I don't like the EXTRA cost for rides or for some app features. Disney is so expensive as it is! This app seems to be about how to entice you to spend even more money. Don't like that I have to link my ticket for some features. My next trip is with a group. I don't get a ticket until we go in 4 months.

Lightning line is difficult to use especially when you go to the other Park. It is a multistep process to get to the point where you can make a new lightning line reservation. When you switch parks you have to start at the genie first page and scroll down to choose the other park. After that the default is still the first park you visited. To use lightning line reservation afyer that you have to go to the geine first page each time. The developers never used the app to park hop.

Loved! Used all day, and had no problems. Found it VERY useful. Most loved the interactive map that shows you where you are exactly, so u can easily get to the next place without getting lost or wasting time. The amazing feature to see wait times was spectacular, and we could pick and choose what we wanted to do and never waited more than 40 mins for anything all day, and sometimes as little as 10 mins. Great app!

Borderline Unuseable. Wasted valuable time in the park trying to purchase the Genie+ service (because it doesn't let you buy it outside the parks 🙄). The app kept rejecting our ticket scans, took forever to load from page to page, and when we finally were able to buy the service, there was no clear indication of how to use it. Digital means should make things easier, but the design of this app proves that that's not always the case. Terrible app.

Very busy app that can be frustrating when trying to book experiences. Remove the ads and simplify the interface to focus on ride availability and the lightning lanes. The rest just gets in the way and frustrates the user. The Genie is great, but we had to pay $20 a ticket and found out that a couple of popular rides are only available for the $12 single lane purchase. That seems pretty petty for the mouse and just upsets customers making them feel like they are being extorted at every turn.

The restaurant reservation system is horrible. There is no lack of demand for restaurant tables, yet they make it impossible to cancel and change to a different restaurant without jumping through endless hoops and cancelation fees. The chat system to resolve issues is also horrible. It can take a day for them to respond, and by that time is too late, or they just end the conversation as "resolved" when it's not!

I found this application as Disney's sole ticketing, reservation, and navigation tool is in need of serious help. The system is often overwhelmed by the number of users. Causing the system not to accept card payments. The fact that there are many areas of the park that have poor or no cell coverage makes the push message system nonfunctional at best and push messages are the only link to the reservation system.

Very helpful in some ways, especially accurate wait times for rides. Also useful to purchase Lightning Lane and to find interesting things near one's current location in the park. And it seamlessly linked our 6 tickets on all our mobiles. But the enjoyment is significantly marred by user-unfriendly navigation. I'm VERY tech savvy, and it took all day using the app to remember how to find various things I was using frequently. Especially bad was that the mobile food ordering piece was not working. Standing at the restaurant, attempting to order food for 6 people, it would get all the way to payment and then hang--repeatedly, on 3 different phones. The attendant simply repeated the stock line that he couldn't help with the app and the only alternative was to order standby--a 40-minute predicted wait when NO ONE was in line and few were picking up mobile order4s. Seriously!? We went to a different restaurant about 20 feet away, ordered live, and got food instantly. It appears that Disneyland is intentionally slowing in-person orders to encourage mobile ordering. And of course that's not to mention having to pay $77 on top of admission for two Lightning Lane rides, where the old FastPass system would have been free. And having 3 rides break down, 2 while we were in line and another for 15 minutes while on the ride. (If I never again hear Yo ho, yo ho, a pirate's life for me, it will be too soon!) I've been going to Disneyland since it opened--this trip was for my 70th birthday--and their quality level and customer sdervice have gone significantly downhill. Sad to see.

Not very intuitive. Functions and options available even though it may not apply to you, but you don't know until you go through the steps which is a waste of time. Applying filters on the map will reset even though the filter section still shows the options that were selected. Use the app realizing that it isn't well thought out and can be confusing. You can be in the app but it can take you to the Disney website without clearly specifying it has.

It works well the times are normally correct for wait times, the picture future we should have used more but it is awesome for pictures from rides and other spots around the park, having my tickets and return times for the das program was a huge plus, only issue i had was it does not explain everything and you have to tinker around but once you get it like anything else it works very well 5 stars for the ease of use, and the perks of being able to order food and shop without waiting in lines.

It's a great idea, completely ruined by the horrible quality. Genie+ doesn't work at all. Every time you make a purchase it offers to save your card details, and then never does. The app randomly crashes halfway through a purchase, leaving you stuck. Did it take your money? Did it book your food/ride? Who knows! Cast members are no help at all. Disney, you need to fire your entire development team and start from scratch. It's not hard to get this right, but you failed spectacularly.

Rarely Works! Now that this is the only way to get into the park I stress when I need to open the app to show our pass. It doesn't always load and when it does I don't need it anymore. And mobile ordering would be great but again it never loads and if I do manage to place my order I am never able to check the status of my order because I can't get the app to work. I never had a issue with my service before. Not sure if it's the app or my cell carrier. But I never had issues before. So annoying

I gave this a 3 rating because when it works, it's good. The problem is, it doesn't work all the time and it's really bad when you need it to work and it doesn't. If I am at the entrance gate and the app is having issues finding the tickets that were scanned, that's a problem. It even more irritating when the response to your comment, from the developer, shows how the app is supposed to work - duh! It appears Disney needs better testers AND Developers.

It works reasonably well. Sometimes has problems with text overlapping. A bit difficult to navigate. Text overlaping continues. The text overlaps on all screens where there is two parts of a text on the same line. Example, Manage and make reservations overlap each other. On the location map, all the title overlap the filter. I am using an android.

Very useful and easy to use. Mostly i used to figure which rides had less wait time and went to those rides. Also very useful to order food. It did have a problem with a verylong process to get the tickets to display. It somehow does not dirextly show in my tickets and passes. Maybe because i booked a package with hotel.

There are times when the order ahead function is a crazy-good time saver, but other than that, the app is currently trash and a huge headache! It *never* fails that the app will freeze as soon as I get on DL property! I literally uninstall and reinstall it multiple times a visit! This is a HUGE issue as the app is literally the only way to access my pass, to order food and make reservations, and get virtual queue reservations! App is SO buggy

The app is always crashing, often no internet connection in the park and yet tickets, dining, parking and more are all done through the app now. It makes for an extremely stressful time when you are trying to pull up your tickets on entry or when picking up a meal and the app will not load them or is repeatedly crashing. Disney does a lot of things well, but this is not one of them. Epic unfathomable failure for their part.

We had multiple people in our party trying to use this app on multiple different phones and none of them were particularly successful. There was a lot of glitching and not responding to commands. It had to be restarted multiple times. We tried restarting our devices hoping for a better result and did not get one. It's the only way to book reservations but they don't tell you what the restrictions on those reservations are. The filters also aren't entirely accurate.

App is crashing more often and freezes too. Disney needs to fix their homepage because it's not user friendly and it's sometimes frustrating to find certain things. The virtual queue is the worst idea Disney introduced, since Rise of the Resistance opening I still have not been on it after 3 visits this year. It sucks cuz the queue closes a second after opening up and can't afford to keep coming back. Prices are becoming too expensive and DISNEY is all about money now. FIX THESE PROBLEMS.

When it works it's pretty good, but it crashes so often. Everytime you open it, it freezes. I have 4 days at Disney and can't que for Star Wars, twice we got the our que then it immediately crashed and said error than we lost our que. That's some BS! Also heard that due to the ride has been limited. Yet Restaurants are packed, all other rides are at full capacity as well.

The "play" option doesn't function at all. Getting a boarding group for rise of the resistance allows other people to take your spot while signing up so we got in, but when we hit the finalize button, it kicked us out and we didn't get a spot. (This was withing 2 seconds of the queue opening). My biggest issue is just that the app gets stuck while trying to load the "play" feature. You just get stuck on the loading screen.

Unfortunately the app kept crashing. Was unable to "connect" to server. Had so many issues with connectivity that getting in line to order food was way faster than Mobile ordering. Had to retrieve reservation tickets through email confirmation instead of app because they would not load. It was very frustrating. I feel the pain now when I hear all the complaints. Great content and tools... if only we were able to access them in a timely manner.

Disney's jumped the shark. They've become over-reliant on this app that frequently crashes, shows incorrect information, and can be difficult to use at times. It was nice when it was a value-added feature, but now you >need< it for reservations and food orders... and it performs these tasks poorly at best. Get it together, Disney.

Crashes, lags, and constantly forgets that I've logged in and synced my tickets, then routes me back the website for account based activities and then I have to log in again. Defeats the purpose of having an app. Also if you make mobile food orders a thing, you've gotta show where the food station is on the map otherwise you end up ordering a drink on the other end of the park because you trusted the app said it was nearby. A multi billion dollar company knowingly made an app with UX this bad.

Very buggy. Crashes often. Links don't take you to the proper destinations, frequently freezes after opening the app or selecting a menu button. Descriptions on virtual queues do not tell you if the walk up line is available. The app is convenient when it does work, but it takes too much patience to recommend as a nice alternative to a normal paper map/panflet. Not impressed.

It has everything you need. A placd to make a Reservation, buy tickets, the maps, updates and even more. Its very easy to use. No glitches that i can see yet. I do miss the paper maps. But i dont need a map tho. I use it for wait times. The graphics were better with paper maps.

This sucks!!! The app makes my experience not so magical. After buying a magic key, I would think they would treat the keyholder as somewhat deserving of a magical experience. They do not. I am disappointed that at 7:00:02. That I am unable to get onto a virtual queue for Rise of the Resistance. Even after trying again at 12:00:01, the queue is all filled up. The point is that we have to use this lousy app to do the virtual queue makes it use of said app unmagical.

Rating this based on dining. It's horrible. You can't join walk up list unless you use the app. And you also can't join unless you're close to the restaurant. It says it's accepting walk ups, you walk all the way over there, then the app says the restaurant is closed and you can't join the list. Ordering ahead is a mess, too, for takeaway restaurants--you end up waiting longer than if you'd just stood in line. Wait times for rides are ok but often misleading. Dining was not intuitive at all.

I found it Impossible to join virtual queues. We had a four day stay and tried every day exactly at 7:00 am and 12:00 pm. Virtual queues were either already filled, or our group was canceled later in the day. I guess the app itself works as designed. But it is a poor design. It would be better if gave a priority boost if your groups were previously canceled. Or if you didn't have to click at specific times. Getting on rides shouldn't be a lottery.

My experience over the years had been improving with the Disneyland app. I do very much like the ability to order foods and pay for merchandise at certain locations through the app which helps get around crowded lines. There is still work to do to improve the user experience of the app, but overall I recommend using the app if you make a trip to Disneyland park.

Overall, the app works fine. However, I've noticed that accessing the Magic Key on the app while at the park (required for purchases, as screenshots aren't accepted) has been very difficult due to weak signals or interferences. Can you please create a widget to display MKs on an Android home screen or allow us to save our MKs to Samsung Pay/Google Pay?

The overall use of this app is fairly terrible. The "home" is just ads. The + button and the "menu" button are not consistent with each other, it's not intuitive at all which options you expect to find from each tab. Getting into queues is not intuitive. For example, if I'm on the map looking at the attractions, and I open the page for the rise of the resistance ride, it tells me that I need to enter the queue. However, there isn't a link, I instead have to go back to the queue menu. It's clunky

Easy to navigate, and informative. Makes your experience at the park, easy-to-use, easy to navigate through the park. For dining, you can plan and pay while in a line, and pick it up on your way to your next adventure! So much more on this app. The app alone provides a tast of disney, even when your not there! Come on, can't beat that.

The app crashed quite often. Slow at times. The map should show everything from food to shows to attractions to bathrooms and have a filter feature accordingly instead of separate navigation menus. It was very confusing. When it did work, It helped a lot to find rides that had long or short wait times. Definitely room for improvement.

This app is a disaster. You can't view reservations, it always exits, etc. When my friend links my ticket to their account, my ticket shows up in their app, but theirs doesn't show up in mine. Why should we have to both add the other person? Oh, and half the time they don't even accept the digital ticket and you have to have a separate PAPER ticket. It's always an unpleasant experience to use this app.

The map feature is useful and reduces paper waste. But the park over relies on this for too much. I got tired and hungry and wanted to go to a nearby restaurant only to find out they didn't have any availability for three hours! That's obscene. The virtual queue for rides almost ruined my vacation. All slots filled in LITERALLY 1 second. The time I actually made it into the queue my wait time was 360 minutes...480 minutes later that time was down to 95 minutes. Terrible.

Please make it more user friendly! It is hard to find what I'm looking for with the new format and menus. Making dining reservations is hopeless and frustrating. Last time I used tbis app was a couple of years ago and it was wonderful, now the menus are confusing, I can't find what I'm looking for and planning a trip to Disneyland is much more difficult.

This is the most frustrating app ever. It Always crashes, gives error after error after error, drains your battery at a ridiculous rate, & most recently it deleted my digital passes on its own & then it requires me to link them to make a reservation... how?... & forget about about getting help from customer service. what makes it worse is that disneyland basically forces you to have it. This app should be a tool not a necessity.

It's amazingly helpful when it works. The problem is it doesn't always work. Converted my tickets into passes with no problems and then 2 days later my passes disappeared from the app. The features are great, but something needs to be done to fix some glitches.

Lacks so many basic features. Hard to use. Some features are separate tabs. Some features (e.g. virtual queues) are somewhere random. Back button sometimes exits the app when it shouldn't (e.g. searching). No way to star a ride or share a ride or plan a trip. Compass doesn't work. App hasn't improved in a long time. At least you can store your tickets (except they require the physical one sometimes?!), search rides, and see wait times, I guess.

Easy to use and makes for a more enjoyable experience at the Park. Having the ability to order food in advance allowed my family to enjoy more attractions and time our meals. Looking forward to the option of paying for merchandise with the app. My only disappoinment is the virtual queue. There has to be a better way to experience these special attractions. Depending upon your internet or cell provider, you may not be able to login at the right moment to be added to the queue.

So far so good our Tix aren't until 8/7-8/9. I've been exploring the app to see what's open and what's not. One thing I noticed that's missing on this app is a "like button" or "heart button". I've gotten a lot of suggestions from friends and family about attractions and restaurants to visit while in the parks and I don't think I will remember them all. It would be nice if y'all added that feature.

The only reason that I did not give a 5 star was because the way the selection of obtaining a slot for the Rise and Superman ride was set up. NOT very easy to work. Should be a 2 step easy process. Plus it excludes people that are not phone savvy such as some boomers or disabled people. Disabled people sometimes move slower or more difficult to use phone. If you are not fast, you lose out. Not really fair for all.

I have been trying to sign into this app for 2 hours. I have restarted my phone, I have uninstalled and reinstalled, I have cleared the cache. It gets stuck on the loading circle when I try and sign in. I am visiting the park tomorrow and if I can't get this working I won't be able to order food, visit certain attractions, etc. What a waste of money, I may not even go.

The process of connecting tickets is very confusing. I already had connected my tickets to reservations and the reservations showed in the app. It is crazy that I then have to reconnect the tickets to the app. I don't even know where the tix are at this point. Someone at the hotel had to help me and by that point I missed the virtual queue window. This should require less effort. The features in the app are good.

It's easy to use always up to date with line queue. I can purchase food while waiting in line for a ride, or request a specific time to pickup. Keeps track of my fast pass and if you misplaced your park ticket it's on your phone you can add the whole family. It works great for me since I have to track 5 people and it keeps the kids distracted they can play a game in the app.

Very helpful app in the park (map, constantly updated ride wait times). I would love them to add pictures of what is sold at each place (food/souvenirs) and this would be a 5 out of 5 stars app. The online ordering was VERY simple and the pickup time windows made it easy to plan food around rides, so as soon as you're done BAM, you're eating. Also, some quality of life improvements, such as making high use searches faster (reduced clicks) would be appreciated, but as is, very good app!

Continuously signs me out while at the park. It's made ordering food near impossible let alone attempting to join queues. Hope they fix this soon, especially before fast passes return. Editing this to give more info and respond to the developer. Uninstalling and reinstalling is the only way to fix it but it continues to happen. On most recent trip we had to reinstall about 5 times just to get our food.

The app sucks. Very difficult to find your way around. And descriptions of things, like how the virtual queue works, is incomplete and if you haven't been to the park in a long time, will be confusing. I have to go searching the internet for explanations that should be more comprehensive in the app.

I have loved Disneyland since my first childhood visit in 1975, and go as often as I can. Having the app keeps me in touch with the park when not there, and enables me to interact when I am there. The app makes things so convenient: ordering tickets & having them on your phone, ordering food, making reservations, checking ride wait times, plus many other features I haven't even explored yet. It has made doing those things all so much easier now. A very worthwhile app to have!

This is a great customer experience app. I'm updating my review since the app has recently changed. It's still great for buying tickets, ordering meals, and making reservations at restaurants. I've reduced to 3 stars given all the propaganda that now pollutes the opening page. It's very distracting and unprofessional. Hopefully they'll return to classy and useful soon. Regardless, it's primary functions are still great.

The set up is either really poorly planned or intentionally done to get you to view a lot of unnecessary things. Quite a few of the links don't take you to the page that they describe. Got up early in the morning to get in the star wars queue and that was just a mess. My gf phone let her in queue but my app wouldn't load it and I just sat there as it said it would be open soon.

This is needed to do anything. If it crashes, like it did with me, you can't eat at certain places. Reply : Disney shouldn't force its guests to use the app to buy food. I did use mobile data first and then tried to switch to Disney Guest Wi-Fi with no change. Regardless, don't limit guest experiences to using technology that needs to work 100% with everyone. Not good for anyone.

I have linked my tickets, but the app does not display the linked tickets. My husband and I have the same issue. We've tried uninstalling and installing the app multiple times and several devices to no avail. Ordinarily this would be a minor inconvenience, but this will most likely prevent me from joining virtual queues.

This app will either reboot, kick you off, or make you re-enter info that you just entered. Most windows don't stop loading and you need to restart the app. It also takes hours to pick up your food after ordering it. I understand the amount of people but the wait time is to much instead of walking up and ordering it. Not fun.

Good app. Helped with navigating park and seeing wait times. Hopefully improve on the online ordering. You can order food easy enough but it just gives you a list of the different places. It doesn't show where they are. So you have to check restaurant than check where that one is compared to you, and than go back to order menu.

Great app overall, but had problems ordering food while staying at resort. The food ordering part of the app is NOT very user friendly. It was difficult finding my food order afterwards and if I closed out of the app. I LOVE that the app shows me the Disney RIDE WAIT TIMES in real time for each park. The time was fairly accurate and sometimes we had to wait less than what the time showed. I also love that the app shows if a ride is shut down or closed for maintenance, COVID cleaning, etc.

This app is overall wonderful when you go to Disneyland and need to navigate the parks! It convenient to have all the info you need on your device and it's helpful to see where you are moving around on the map. You can set reservations for restraints and see the schedule for the day as well. The only reason I give this 4 stars is because of how the arrow which indicates you doesn't move as fast as you move around the area you are in.

This app is really slick. It was intuitive, and had relevant, useful information. It was great to see wait times across both parks (which were kept up-to-date). Not to mention that it was required for getting ROTR boarding passes - which was also an amazingly smooth process: no lag, updated quickly, etc. Needless to say, I was impressed with the app. It genuinely enhanced the experience of the visit. (I never even used the "Play" feature, but heard it was also a positive addition)

The app needs a lot of work. It got stuck in the Max Pass selection several times, and did not allow me to select another Fast Pass for a 2nd ride after I used the 1st Fast Pass. It would also be nice if it better integrated the Max Pass system with the other rides in the area that are not Max Pass. I would also like to see a place on the app where you can mark off rides that you have been on, and which ones you want to go on.

This app is a must-have while visiting Disneyland. Provides maps of both parks, and you can filter to find bathrooms, food, character appearances, showtimes, etc. It shows wait times for all attractions, and if you have MaxPass, you can get FastPass right on your phone. You can also order food on your phone with Mobile Order, but that's still pretty glitchy as of Feb 2020.

Really cool Disney is going tech! My mom lost her pass on space mountain, but because of the app, we were able to go to the ticket booth and got her a new one right away! LIFE SAVER! However I only gave it 4 stars because if you use the app to buy fast passes it costs money compared to just sliding your ticket for free.. Also love the games you can play in line, but you need 2 people to be playing on separate phones but only use one phone!? And its random. No sense but work in progress!

This app would be pretty great if it was reliable, but Disney has made it the backbone of the Disneyland experience and it's just not up to the task. It signs you out or asks you to sign in multiple times, and it often crashes at crucial times. Disney requires you to use the app at park opening to reserve a boarding pass for their newest ride, and this is anything but a fair and smooth process. You can literally hear people boo at Disneyland when the app fails.

It was helpful, as far as checking the rides and for seeing the wait times for each ride. I wish that it would have more detail of the food stands, where to find the Fast passes, and short cuts to different parks, instead of wandering through the whole park, trying to find your way around. As a first timer going to Disneyland it was very overwhelming that first day. This app did help, but not enough info, to get us around the park.

It would be five stars if it worked correctly! The app is absolutely USELESS without wifi, and with really spotty wifi in the parks, it gets difficult and frusterating with Maxpass and the boarding groups. Loved being able to link all my photos, and quickly get new fast-passes. Being able to check when the next fastpass is available could improve and also a better way to see what passes are available w/out having to go through the add process (then canceling). It would also be great to have a way to link the same pass to more than one phone; to help save battery life and so if the group wants to split and do different rides they're not tethered to the one person.

The map is nice but the wait times were usually out of date. Hard to navigate, let's you get all the way to the end of a fastpass flow before denying you or just erroring out. Won't tell you why you can't get a fastpass until you try to. Every time you open the fastpass screen you get totally different times, and different people get different times. 30 minutes after the park opens there are no boarding passes for Rise and no fastpasses before 8pm, the system just doesn't work.

Not only does this app have one of the worst UI/UX designs, but the back end service is unreliable and had problems constantly throughout our trip. When it's the ONLY method of managing your MaxPass it's crucial for it to work properly. This is sadly not the reality and made our 4 days at Disneyland an absolute nightmare. The in app map? Much more useful and functional than it was years ago. Not as battery-draining as it used to be, either. Still room for improvement. Waiting times on the map aren't always in sync with what boards show at the ride.

Need to work on the Mobile ordering for Android. I'm not sure if it's just the Pixel which is what I have or if it's Android, but my friends iPhone worked just fine. When he ordered the app transitioned from ordering to order ready for pick up. Mine just showed me an error and there was no way to prove that I had ordered anything. Please fix this. Nice app for planning the trip, looking at the attractions, shops and places to eat. It will be nice to have when at the park for watching wait times. Also you can make reservations and online ordering for food at the restaurants. Now that I have the Galaxy S9, nothing works. I can't mobile order, make dining reservations, or view my linked annual pass. I've tried re-installing several times, but it still doesn't work. This app is an excellent tool for preparing for your Disneyland trip, as well as for moving around inside the parks once you're there. The ability to manage tickets, Maxpasses, and reservations from the app is wonderful, and the wait times are updated in real time so that the most accurate times are always available. I use this app primarily for setting up Fast passes as I go. For some reason it takes about 3-4 steps before I can set up a pass from scratch. If there's a shortcut I'm not seeing it. Usually theme park apps are a necessary evil. This one really contributed to the quality of the overall experience. It was super easy to book fast pass, the photo thing was seamless. If you like your PhotoPass Photos.. DO NOT upgrade to the most recent version 5.7. Your Photo Previews will be blocked and your downloads as well. I made the big mistake of updating the other day. After the install you lose access to your PhotoPass Photos. The previews show but as soon as you try to access your photos, the app crashes. 1/17/20 Update, v5.8 still has not fixed the PhotoPass problem. You have no choice but to install this for "Rise". First time users, we're not millennials, and it was still easy enough to navigate. The AP puts a lot of information at your finger tips. We wanted to maximize our time here, and that was achieved by doing 2 things. 1) Knowing ride wait times helped us make decisions. 2) We got more fast passes than any previous visit to Disneyland. We didn't use the food service portion. Rides alone, we felt like it was worth the extra bucks.

Not a well designed app (Android version) with many small issues you'd think Disney would be able to fix. For instance. If you try to create an account on the app, the only option for birthday entry is to start at the current month and scroll the calendar back each month until you hit your birthday. There is no option to skip back years, nor are you allowed to simply enter the birthday in numbers. Come on Disney.

Unfortunately the pictures from the photopass option is not working. It has been an issue for over 3 months now and is still not working. The issue is when I try to open a picture to view it, the app crashes and closes or the screen goes black and then reverts back to the home screen of the app. The picture never opens. The app is difficult to navigate. Finding things like ride wait times, maps, directions, restaurant menus, etc. that seem like frequent things users would access, is not intuitive. The app crashes frequently, and fast past reservations take a long time to load. Using it is beneficial for fast pass reservations, but everything else is too cumbersome. Disney should spend some time developing better functionality.

Awesome idea to do digital fastpass. It saved us so much time and made it so easy to plan our schedule around the park. It was definitely worth it paying for the extra service. However, I have a few suggestions that will definently make it even better, for example having the ability to create an optimized and customizable ride schedule based in arrival time and ride types, and notify the user about events happening around the park based on his preferences.

Overall the app is great. I really like the real time fastpass registering, ordering food, photopass and showing all the showtimes. The filtering function can use some improvements. But my only quip with the app....is the app. I found myself buried in the app to do anything at Disneyland or Adventure park. This of course burns through your battery so you must have a battery pack handy. Also...the whole experience of soaking in the park just gets lost since I'm in the app.

It doesn't really function till physically on property. I think a ONE map with all icons: bathrooms, FP terminals and restaurants would be more beneficial. The first impression of using this app was a bit intimidating, I was afraid I was going to order or reserve something I didn't want. I actually had to sit down and really look at it, don't try to figure it out "on the go". Once you take the time to research and ask questions then it'll all fit into place. My daughter and I used the app for the MaxPass experience and we were able to ride almost every ride in both parks on one day, which made day 2 a breeze. Thank you Disneyland.

This app is disappointing. It can be slow and get bogged down, it's not intuitive to use, difficult to find things without using the search function. You have to click on too many things to get to what you're looking for. It does hold your season pass, and you can purchase the max pass but other than that, it kinda sucks. Please Disney, fix your app!

The app makes getting fast passes almost like a game. We were able to ride everything in both parks sometimes 2-3 times and only waited full stand by time 3 or 4 times over 3 days. It was crazy crowded, btw. Max Pass is awesome. First time I have ever used PhotoPass... It's pretty cool with the app. The DisneyPlay app is a stupid big download (497 mb!!!!) and Disney free WiFi kept timing out when trying to install it. If you have unlimited data you're set but if not download it at home.

Had some trouble using for fast pass. We would choose one and it would be unavailable. Would exit out and start over then it was available. Maybe people were releasing them. A notification to remind you when you are eligible for the next fast pass would be nice. Fast pass was awesome to have. It was nice to see wait times for rides but they were not completely accurate. I would say they were a bit of an under estimate. Some photos did not load to the app.

Overall this was a great application for our families visit to the parks. MaxPass is a must especially for FastPass from your phone! One big issue that needs to be fixed is the option to delete the ticket needs to have a confirmation appear before it just deletes with a one button press. Multiple times while entering the park for our 5 day visit we had tickets removed inadvertently because of this.

Pretty decent app. My 2 complaints are as followed 1. When using mobile order you cant really customize food. I'm allergic to tomatoes and can have them left off of a burger when mobile ordering. That's pretty frustrating. 2. The dashboard (home) is too cluttered with nonessential items. The home screen should only have important stuff like tickets, fastpass selection, photo pass, mobile ordering and viewing the map. All the ads get in the way of finding the stuff you actually need quickly.

The few difficulties I have had with the app, the customer service agents were phenomenal and explained everything I needed to know and were exceedingly pleasant to deal with. The map on this app alone is wonderful but you can do fastpass; link your card; link your reservations and order/pay for your food and drinks. Amazing app. Amazing people. We can't wait to go to Disneyland this Christmas and use this app! 😁😊

It does most everything you need at Disneyland, but Disneyland should learn from Disney World on how to book fast passes. It would be much better to choose your own time window, and the "modify" button would be a huge improvement in order to modify a fast pass that you have without having to cancel it first.

The app is mostly what you can expect Disney to offer and it gets the job done, but the functionality of its features is sometimes lacking. I appreciate the fact it eases the navigation of the park and all of the things Disneyland has to offer, but it was frustrating when it would slow down at times I needed it. That being said, I am very impressed by it!

May break down from time to time. Used the mobile order once and could not look it up when picking up the order. The second time I tried, the mobile order function was closed for the shop. Not reliable at this point. The interface was not friendly when using fastpass either. Should have a dash board showing the current fast pass and time available for next fast pass selection.

Pros: you can link tickets, book fastpass, and see photos. I have not mobile ordered food, but it seems easy. Cons: Not once has the wait on app been accurate. Either waits are not "real time" or staff makes waits seem shorter than they are. App not very user friendly. You can "select all" to book a fastpass, but not to redeem them, so you still have to scan each separately. Whole map= you cannot see wait times. List= app tells you what park, not what "land". Get a paper map.

There are some key features missing from this app. Such as being able to filter for just restuarants or food on the map. It also doesn't easily show what shows or events are happening in the area at the time you are looking. The ride time feature is nice as is the fast pass info and so on but it just feels like it is missing some important pieces.

Would be nice if the information was correct and it didn't crash or freeze all of the time. Just spent 4 days in Disneyland. Bought a MaxPass and could only utilize it once because the app is so terrible. Complete waste of money on the pass. So frustrating and the wait times listed are never even close to correct.

Needs to have a sort feature so you can find things close to you. In sign up, it's NOT obvious the year can be changed. Map updates in chunks when zooming or scrolling. No option to discuss permanently info pop-up on app start. Would be nice to give walking directions to attractions. Would be nice to be able to rotate map.

Love the app! It's super convenient to figure out wait times for rides and even grab a fastpass if you have max pass. There are still so many features I am still discovering to make the things even easier. I have yet to try mobile ordering but I use the reservation options which is amazing. I used to have restuarant numbers saved in my phone to make reservations. I feel like an old person who reminisces about the old days..."back when I was a kid" we had to walk to a ride to know the wait time.

Best app when visiting the park. You have a digital Map with ride times and the $15 extra dollars for the FastPass is worth it. Just a tip though, dont be discouraged if you can't find the times that work. You honestly have to refresh it over and over and you'll start to see the rides you want. Also start early, don't go during the afternoon. Go earlier!

Glitchy for the important stuff! When it's the only way to use the Fast Pass you paid for, and it basically crashes keeping you from making or redeeming those reservations, it makes for a lousy visit. An expensive, frustrating visit. Why 2 stars then? Because the PhotoPass part is great. So, glitchy, frustrating app which you are basically totally dependent on when visiting Disneyland and California Adventure. Guests shouldn't have their enjoyment so heavily impacted by a stupid glitchy app

This app is the worst. I paid for maxpasses to use through the app. When selecting a fastpass, a time slot is shown, but when I complete the process the time is different. A separate issue; The app shows times available but when I go to select the pass it shows unavailable. Then if we go to the ride we can get a paper pass. Had to spend 30 mins in line at the chamber of commerce because our tickets wouldn't link. Now the app won't work at all. Says I have no internet even though I do!

Love the Disneyland app. It is so convenient to use especially when using our max passes. It also gives us a good idea of what to expect in terms of wait times for each ride. We've been to Disneyland many times and find that the app makes it so much more easier to navigate through things. Also it has made purchasing food and picking it up so much more convenient with the mobile food purchase option. Love Disneyland and love the app!

This app is awesome! I could connect tickets for my entire group and also see our reservations. The map is extremely interactive and accurate to my location. The wait times were very accurate and updated often. I really liked that I can filter and find what I wanted, like other things to do besides rides. MaxPass is completely worth it, especially since it includes photos. Loved how I would open my phone and see the FastPass times immediately. Don't go to Disneyland without this app!

Has potential to be a great app, but between crashing, not loading, not saving plans, and being unable to make reservations at dining locations makes it difficult to use. Also unfortunate to have to rely on a buggy app if you're visiting more than one day. This app and the Play app need serious work and debugging. Other wise, I recommend it

Not user friendly but useful at parks. I had massive issues getting the app to do what I needed like searching for stores, and I found myself accidentally quitting the app frequently. I was never able to view a menu for the dining places, and the MaxPass thing is a joke ($15 bucks wasted on that digital fast pass BS. I only used it once and the other FP digital ones were 6 or 7 hours later or they were sold out). I did enjoy the updated wait times and the mobile ordering. That's why it's a 3.

Cool possibilities, but still has links to iron out. Estimated standby wait time was sometimes off by 30 minutes or more, and the app didn't always update that wait time efficiently. Navigation has redundancies that could be removed, and would result in greater ease of use. Max pass, mobile food orders, and photo linking are all awesome!

I really liked the app and how easy it was to see ride lines, add photos from rides, make reservations, etc....however I soured on it after purchasing several of the photos on the app I went online with my computer to download them. Here I see that for just a few dollars more I could have gotten ALL of my pictures for a week. I wish this option had been apparent (I even thought something of the sort might exist and looked for it within the app!). Unfortunately I missed out on several pictures.

A Disneyland Essential - I have been really impressed with all the improvements and additions Disneyland has made to this app in the past couple years. I can more easily manage fast passes, which rides I will visit and where I will dine based on who I am with and how much time we have. It has helped create a more frictionless experience that has made every visit even more enjoyable. Thank you!

The app was a little confusing at first, but after a brief intro from a nice cast member, it was a snap to use. Very beneficial to make our visit to Disneyland more enjoyable and efficient. Some pictures from rides took a day to show up in the app. Be patient, they will arrive. Make sure to bring an extra battery pack or two or three! Using the cell phone so much for a 16 hour visit really burns through batteries!

The app is good it has advantages for wait times. It should also include a cancel option for the max pass. If you load something in error and would like to open the slot for someone else. I could not remove one. It could just be me not knowing how to navagate the app.

It was a little hard to find some of the features, mostly having to do with FastPass, But once located, they worked fine. It would also be nice if there was a real time locator "dot" on the map. Mostly very easy to use. The way it automatically updated the wait times was great.

Great overall - especially with linked to Max Pass but I wish that it had more features about FAQs for people who are unfamiliar with the park (it didn't show is the actual route of the parades on the map). Second, it would be nice if it worked as a conceirge in that it would help you plan an itinerary of what attractions to go to next (even if they are not Fast Pass rides). Third, it would be nice if it could set alarms to remind you of your upcoming rides. But it definitely is so convenient!

Fantastic! Every Disneygoer needs this app. It gives you the best updated information on food options, wait times, and you can even order online and sync up your ticket(s)/pass(es) for easy access to photos and MaxPass+. It helps me plan out my day more efficiently and leaves me with the option to add in something different or on the fly while I'm there so I make the most out of every visit. Certain areas of the park even have interactive games. Only downside is battery drainage, bring chargers!

yesterday this would have been 5 stars but I went to universal today and they have a really cool feature that this app doesnt. on universal you can set alerts when the wait time drops on a ride or when a closed ride opens, and you can set reminders for shows. other than that this app is awesome! I love connecting my ticket and having my fast pass right on it. I love seeing the wait times right on my phone to help plan my day. Also the mobile food order is great and saves so much time!

I have been using this app for over a year and loved it. I used it with my Maxpass to to get fast passes, to get photos taken or save photos from rides. Also used is to order food on mobile ordering. NOW I CAN'T ACCESS MY ACCOUNT WHILE AT THE PARK. KIND OF DISAPPOINTING THAT YOU PAY $100. FOR THE MAXPASS AND CAN NOT USE IT. I Have learn that there was recently an update to include the new S10 but it pushed out the S9. Talking to several employees at the parks and they have no clue. 7/27/19 still

app is convenient for ordering food and not having to wait in line, especially when its crowded. But unfortunately on 3 different trips it would not give me my Passholder discount. When I brought my concern to a cast member. they said they couldn't help, and the only way for me to get my discount was to get in line and order like everyone else. That is the issue I have with the app especially since there is no way to rectify the error and the discount is lost.

works well especially not on their wifi 🤣 kind of a new obsession to see what the wait times are for SWGE and the rest of the parks while I'm stuck at work 🤣🤣🤣 I've had issues updating it and using the mobile ordee feature in the past, but I think it's improving. Although this is the only app I use to check wait times for at least 2 years now, it is a battery drainer and doesn't work as well on low power mode or on their wifi, costing me battery life and data 🙈🥺😖

This app is incredible. I am able to do fast passes quick and easy, and have my photos in one place (with max pass purchase-totally worth it). Rating depends on which device. The app won't work on my Galaxy S9+ but is fine on my tablet. My experience with it on my tablet would get 5 stars. It's easy ro use and has a bunch of options. On my phone, the app just gets a spinning wheel when I try to make a fast pass or link/view pictures. I used more battery power getting nothing accomplished than i did actually doing something on it like calls/ pictures/ Facebook. I'm going to call support and see if they can help.. I'll update afterwards

Seeing wait times and fast pass availability times is so helpful! Being able to see character appearance spots is super helpful if your little kid wants to meet their fav. character. Bathroom map was great, and showtimes also. The only thing I feel the app is missing is being able to add attractions or shows to a To-do list. Some advice: scan your ticket on your phone so that it will remind you when your fastpass is available, esp in case you lose your tickets. Thank you Disney for this app ❤️

major major issues with this app the last 5 weeks or so. its absolutely useless. What good is it to pay all that money on tickers and hotel room, and be stymied by a dysfunctonal app. I am on an Android, Pixel 2 XL, unlocked, T-Mobile is the carrier. App is great but wish I could edit photos. There used to be stickers you could use to edit the pictures on your photos saved in the park. But it's no where to be found now. My friend has an apple phone and hers still allows her to edit. So sad. Would be 5 stars if this was still an option!

For the most part this app is wonderful, however there are times when it has glitches. There have been times when it doesn't recognize the some people in our party are in the park, so those people are unable to use the max pass. When we were at Galaxy's Edge it kept pulling up the suggestion to play the game. I would exit out of the game and it would pull it right back up again. It made it impossible to use the app. The only way I could solve the problem was to uninstall the app.

The app is ok, but it messed with the time on my phone. I couldn't get mobile ordering to work, so I asked one of the workers if she could help me troubleshoot. She looked at my phone and immediately said it's because the clock on my phone was wrong. She told me it's a known issue, that the app messes with people's phones. This didn't just affect my ability to mobile order; it also affected the time stamp on my texts, changing the order and burying new messages, among other things. Please fix!

Very useful app when visiting either park. It shows a map andcurrent wait times which we used to decide which one to go to next. It contains a list, though incomplete, of attractions with details, height restrictions etc. - useful when visiting with young kids. You can collect all your photos from the park in the app. You can book FastPasses with MaxPass from the app. We didn't use the option to book food.

The app worked fine for the MaxPass & linking the PhotoPass photos. My biggest complaint is that you used to be able to access your PhotoPass photos online & edit them by adding fun frames & resizing them in the frames. When I came to Disneyland 2 years ago, they moved it all to the app & removed the ability to edit the photos for ANDROID ONLY. Apple phones do have the ability to edit the photos. It's been 2 years and they STILL haven't added for Android??????

This app as gone from a laughing stock to the only app you need at Disney. They have embraced the electronic side of optimizing the guest experience with mobile ordering and passes and tickets loaded to the phone. Some parts of the park are still a little behind by not being able to scan your ticket for getting fastpasses for free (Maxpass is a paid solution to this). This app is great and deserves some recognition. One thing that could be fixed/optimized is the battery drain.

I like that I'm able to get Fast Passes on the go and see the wait times on the map. When in use, this app is great. My problem with it is when I'm not in the park, not using it. The app turns on randomly on its own and saps my battery. Sure, I can force stop it, but half of the time, I'm not even aware it's on. It's pretty annoying when I'm not using it.

It's a valuable app to have when you're in the park. but it's really only beneficial if you purchase the max pass. which you can still only have two at a time and you have to wait 2 hours after you get the first one to get the next. the app also runs my battery down really fast. the times on the ride are pretty accurate. but don't plan on getting to a ride in time if it's not in the same land you're currently in. everyone uses the same app.

The mobile fast pass option is not worth the money! You pay $15 per person per day and can only reserve once you are in the park, one ride at a time, even if there are fast passes available later. So, was good for one or two rides which you can get in person if you get to the park when it opens or get to easily of you have magic hour. The app is good for checking ride times and having the map (to search for food, bathrooms. can make restaurant reservations and order food for pick up.

When it works for fastpasses it's great. But it stopped working around 12pm. So...I feel like overall it does not work very well for maxpass/fast pass reservations. It's been extremely discouraging. Functionally, the app is great, it has everything you could want but the user interface is terrible. It isn't intuitive. Most used items like, wait times, photo pass and fast pass are all in different areas and even Disney employees had trouble navigating the app to help me. I never know where to go to find the right thing and it is too many clicks to get there. If I choose a filter, leave that filter in place until I reset it. Mobile ordering and fast passes work great.

This is the key to using your maxpass. Well worth using to manage family passes. I don't think i needed my physical tickets after the first day because everything was available here. downsides... navigation between the fastpass screen and the wait time map was clunky. and having to re-login every time you want to look at ordering food was distracting.

This app definitely made my experience at Disneyland more magical. I could quickly find wait times, restaurants, and times of performances easily. I do not think this app is a waist of space. With that being said I will delete it as soon as I leave Disneyland, but I enjoyed having it. I think to make the app better would be to have the reviews of restaurants in the app.

The app is decent overall. It helps a great deal with planning out a day, but is missing a single crucial feature to make this an excellent 5 star experience. It needs a general planning tool. You can plan fastpasses and make dining reservations, but if you want to bookmark a show or parade time, there is no function. You should be able to select "I'm interested in seeing Mickey and the Magical Map at 3:05pm". That way you can refer to it when needed in the "My Plans" list.

I definitely like the old version better. It was easier to navigate. Spent the day at Disneyland yesterday and used the updated version for the first time. I think they were trying to integrate the Disney Play app with it, as well as adding some advertising. I found it to be very glitchy and had to restart my phone a few times. I still give it 4 stars because it makes a day at Disneyland so much easier. I really love the concept of the app and hope they work out the bugs in the new version soon.

This review is mainly for MAXPASS. Very convenient once you figure out how everything works. The fact you can book your Fastpass anywhere in the park through the phone makes it easier to manage your time if getting Fastpass is your thing. Even more convenient if you have Park hopping ticket or an AP. 15 dollars for MAXPASS is a bargain if you factor in you get unlimited photos. I took away 1 star because the App is a little slow at times. Ran into a few glitches using it at the park.

Super convenient to have an app like this! Some things I wish were better: - it could store your fast passes on the phone instead of downloading them over and over. Connections in the park are slow - when you are looking at a particular ride and tap on the fast pass it still walks you though the whole process, asking you which park and then which ride you want a pass for. Annoying. - briefly shows you the time when you are allowed to get more fast passes. It should remember that for you.

The app helps a lot for getting around the parks, and takes most of the guesswork out of optimizing the Disney Parks experience. I took off a star because as far as I can tell the app offers no way to cancel a FastPass reservation in case you change your mind and want to book another ride. Also, a restroom locator would be a nice addition, especially for people bringing young children. A Google Maps style directions feature would also be great.

The app supported everything we needed and was reliable, but it often was hard to find what we were looking for. It felt like every time I opened the app, it looked different and I had to search around to find what I needed.

Unable to log in with multiple accounts, meaning we can't add tickets or manage our fast passes. After logging in, it requests more info personal info. After filling it in and creating security qurstions, the 'save' button remains inactive and greyed out. Another account wants you to accept terms and conditions, but gives an unable to process error.

Very buggy app with confusing interface that only adds stress to an already frustrating Disney experience. Gives inaccurate information based on the quality of Disney's (ATT) unreliable wifi. I use this app EVERY time I'm at Disneyland. I love it. Maxpass is also amazing, use it! The one thing I do wish the app had was some sort of filter to find restaurants that are open. I go a lot in the mornings and only know of a few places that offer food at park opening times. Trying to find one open on the app can get tedious because you have to open the list or click on the location then find the time and if it isn't open then back out and repeat the process until you find one that is.

Literally this app makes Disneyland so awesome & easy!!!!! You can keep tickets in the app, you can buy MaxPass, you can manage fast passes, mobile order food, and so much more!! The map showing wait times & characters is really helpful and almost always accurate. The app only rarely crashes. It drains my battery really fast, but that's okay. Also, photo pass photographers can send pictures right to your app if you have MaxPass which is really fun conventient and awesome. great app!!!

I even scanned in the card like they wanted. I love what you can do on the app, but I feel it doesn't have alot you can do. I appreciate being able to check times for rides (which usually weren't accurate, +-20min) and the fastpass thing, but those are the only two really useful things. Also works as a map if you get lost and you can take a picture of your ticket. Great app which consistently worked and rarely crashes, be aware you will just basically be managing fast passes.

Largely Annoying- I was so pleased with the SeaWorld app for walking Maps, showtimes and tons of detail. This Disney app was so disappointing to me. I couldn't find rides, it doesn't have a walking map and I'd often have to back out and then the whole app would close down and it have to start over. I could not find what I was looking for most of the time. Very frustrating to use overall. It's good for downloading your ticket so you don't lose those, and it has show times. That's what's good.

The app is terribly buggy and unreliable. It has malfunctioned several times since we entered the park, which caused some stress at the start of our trip. I had uninstall this app and the Play app and reset my password to get it to sort of work. I love Disney, but this app feels like a huge disappointment coming from Disney.

Used this app last year on a trip to the park and it worked great. Just reinstalled it in preparation for an upcoming trip and, as others have reported, it is completely unusable. Spams GPS (flashing icon in status bar), and touch input is completely unresponsive. Not even able to log in.

What happened? I'm on a Samsung S6 and this app used to work perfectly. I used it all last year no problems. Now it won't load my tickets, show my plans, I can't use max pass, mobile order doesn't work, and I can't make any reservations for dining, my photos won't load, location is always asking me for service, it just is useless now. it's been this way now for a couple months.

I don't go to Disneyland often since I live a couple states away but this app has come in mighty handy every time I go! It has everything in one convenient place, my reservations, tickets for max pass, wait times, show times, etc! I even love using it when I'm not in the parks, it's a great way to gauge what crowds might look like a week before heading there. It's just an all around helpful app that I recommend to anyone going to Disneyland!

Love Disneyland but absolutely hate their app. Location services keeps flickering and the map freezes so I'm unable to pan and zoom to see what the wait times are at both parks. Seems like there's an issue with Android phones. Doubt it has anything to do with service as my wife has an iPhone but is able to pull up the map and navigate it with ease, and we're both on T-Mobile. Please fix the app so I can enjoy it like everyone else. It's the least you can do for an Annual Passport Holder.

Reading the reviews I wonder if it's the mobile service because my hubby and I used it on our galaxy note9 and had no issues (Verizon). Everything was accurate and informative. we used to use this on the sprint network and it crashed and would never load correctly. Either way, this made Disney the best trip to date! Thanks!

Worked when I first downloaded it. Fast forward a couple of months and nothing loads. I have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times. Just seems to freeze. Push notification screen stays on there. Really disappointed. We go to Disney in March and we really need this app to work!

*EDIT: if you're having trouble, re-install. Then go to settings and clear everything (cache, storage, memory, etc.) for the app. Works normally after that.* This app is just unusable with the latest version. It's constantly requesting the location of the phone and won't let me log in. I have an annual pass with MaxPass and I can't use this service because of the buggy app. Disney please fix this as soon as possible, this is a terrible experience and affects the park experience as well!

I loved this app! It was the perfect companion for my Disneyland needs (tickets, reservations, wait times, etc). But notice the use of past tense in my first sentence. I loved this app until the last update. Now it freaks out and glitches so bad I have to restart my phone. Like Disney did with their movies: they took something perfect, rebooted it, and made it utter trash.

keeps trying to use location service rapidly upon opening the app. I turned off location and tried again. now it tries to load a pane of the screen over and over again. It also doesnt allow you to click on anything. it seems to be stuck in recursion or a loop.

Trully it makes every aspect of visiting the Disney Resort a much smoother process from checking into MaxPass, food ordering or reservations, ride wait times and showtimes. The inclusion of Disney Play also makes those line waits when you have them a little less painless. It's also always getting tweaks and improvements, so if you feel there is something missing or something to be improved it'll likely happen.

Worked great on my previous Samsung Galaxy Note 8 a year and a half ago. I've since upgraded to a Galaxy Note 9 and got the kids new DL passes for Christmas. Now it won't function at all. The app keeps trying to load (and trying and trying) to no avail while the location icon in my phone's notification just repeatedly flashes. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling but still doesn't work. Very frustrating since it's hard to constantly dig 4 physical cards out with 3 kids in tow.

The app is somewhat confusing and the Maxpass has not worked for us at all. It took our payment but we couldn't access it. we had friends with us that only had 1 day and we weren't able to utilize it at all. When we called the phone number for assistance, we waited over 30 min on hold, then they weren't helpful at all. Very disappointed and very unlike Disney.

An essential app, just wish it worked better! We were unable to purchase MaxPass upgrades through the app, called CS and ended up having to wait in line for almost an hour at City Hall to rectify the problem, which worked for a day and doomed us to having to return daily to solve the same issue 3 days straight (not to mention lost time and passes). Something about payment info linking in the early setup process seems to have broken our account, which wasted A LOT of our time, ultimately.

Wow! The app was great but the MaxPass feature was a lifesaver! We went on Christmas Eve and while it was crowded, we got to ride everything we wanted with wait times less than 30 min! The only thing that I think would have been nice is if it was clear that the app didn't work to book Fantasmic (you have to get a physical paper ticket, I suppose) but even that wasn't enough to take away a star! Also, the mobile ordering for food was perfect!Walked pass everyone in line and just grabbed our food!

I've used this app for several years now and it has always worked great. But for some reason today it's been horrible. I'm at Disneyland and I can't sign on with 9r without wifi until trying for the dozenth time EACH time I open it. It doesn't even respond to my touch. When it does, I can barely get to the essentials, like my maxpass, and only after several tries. I can't access the map or event times or anything else. Very frustrating!

I wanted to like this app as much as the one for Disney World. It should be the same, right? Nope. This version is extremely slow and sluggish, and is a huge battery drain. (I use a Samsung Galaxy S7). Park employees said it's not just me, everyone complains about it. Supposedly it's a different software version, and they have yet to iron out the bugs. They should hurry because Disney employees put so much work into a great experience, only for visitors to be frustrated by a horrible app.

Ever since the update, the app can't open without crashing, won't allow me to login, and consistently says I have no internet connection (even though this isn't the case). We aren't able to access park tickets, see the park map, or use any of the other app functions. Very disappointed since we've used this app many times before and it's currently unusable :(

Absolutely the worst app at least when using it on a Pixel with Android 8 or 9. It flickers, freezes and has mind of its own. Looks like something wrong with location detection because as soon as the app launches location goes wacky! Thankfully we had an iPhone with us , we used the same app from there with no issues.

Ever since the update the app has really stopped working for me. I have to constantly log back in, it will not do fingerprint recognition, even is it's enabled, and it has an overall lag that it never had before. I can't really use it to check for anything and sometimes I can't even see my fastpasses. There's almost no point in using it now.

Loved this app. The wait times were pretty spot on. Helped plan the day in the park. I even used the mobile order which is AMAZING! I uploaded my tickets and used my phone at the park entrance. My only issues are that when I try to sign in, it says it can't complete my registration and, even though there are maps, it can be difficult on the app to find the rides and attractions. Other than that, we'll done Disney 👏👏

I can't get the darn thing to work. It takes forever to open if it does. It keeps "thinking" and drains my battery. I believe I used it last year and had no issues. I initially thought it was because low service(even though I had at least 4 bars) but all my other apps work fine.

Wifi purchases aren't secure but mobile data signal in park is terrible. Just inside midway mania queue building I had almost no signal. Why have an app that's so important to reserving fast passes, dining and photos if they won't put carrier signal boosters around the park? I mean they obviously don't care about ruining sightlines anymore. You can see mission breakout from the middle of the park. Ride times are improved, battery consumption is better... but none of that matters if the app doesn't connect to the internet.

It won't take any of my credit cards to pay for Fast Pass / Max Pass. Very frustrating & disappointing, because that's your whole start to the day: you can't set it up ahead of time ... have to be checked into the park that day, which makes sense. So if you have this problem too, here's the solution: go to Guest Relations, on the left just inside either park, you can pay there. And of course the staff are wonderful. Otherwise, the app works fine. Good maps. You can pre-order food and make dining reservations. Find restrooms. Check into the park. Check in for Fast Pass. Link up your photos. All sorts of good features. This app is a Must Have, it's just not quite up to Disney standards with that credit card problem.

Very disappointing. This app performance has changed for the worse. I used to be able to rely on it for info and photos, but yesterday it was frozen (no pun intended). I couldn't get it to functiin at all. Uninstalled them rejnstalled. Nothing. I couldn't even move the page to scroll through options. Please fix!

The current version of this app is so buggy and laggy that it is unusable on my phone or my son's. We both have Galaxy S7s so maybe it's the phone. The app appears to be repeatedly attempting to use location services unsuccessfully essentially locking out everything else to do with the app. When it works it is great. It worked for about 20 minutes in the two days that I tried to use it.

Fabulous app! Free and still gives you all the necessary information to navigate the Disney Parks with ease. All of the wait times are available and you can even order food in advance at select locations. For $10 per ticket you can get Max Pass which allows you to get fast passes right from your phone and save every photo you take in the park. From ride photos to cast member shots. We used it in the park and it made our trip so much smoother and enjoyable!

Amazing FastPass feature makes trips to the parks so great for both Disneyland and California Adventure (and I might suggest a couple enhancements to it). The only problem appears to be with payment methods — it is either not remembering them properly when you save a credit card, or it is not properly showing ones you've already saved when you check your account settings.

This is not a bad app I definitely think it should be more functional. One example is even though fast pass is loaded on the app you can't use the app to get on a ride you still need your pass. Also, I can't add my sister to my experience and coordinate her fast passes with mine because she has her annual pass hooked up to her Disney World account even just for a special day. I am used to the functionality of the California Disneyland app.

I used this app for visiting Disney land all the day, signed several fastpass and everything seems fantastic, until the 9pm, the app automatically signed out my account, I tried sign in again, but it said there is no my previous account, and all my fast pass lost. (I can create a new account with another email address which proof the system has no problem, but my pass lost, anyway)

It could be a bit more user friendly. It gets frustrating when you want to get your fast passes and sometimes it doesn't go through or it makes you start over multiple times. It took me to process the max pass multiple times before it worked. Luckily it didnt charge me for all those times (even though it showed up on my bank statements but was canceled later).

The maxpass feature is horrible. I will never add it to my annual passes or a tciket again. Everytime I come to the park, the rides do not have anymore passes available. It's a disservice to people coming in the park too because they suggest people download the app to access maxpass, and then there are no rides available. Something needs to be done about this feature.

The app works pretty well. It is pretty close to actual line lengths. It is nice for shows and parades. The only thing is when using it to get fast passes, it seemed to think I had a fast pass when I did not and so blocked me from getting another fast pass. That only happened a couple times. I recomend the app.

The Android/Google version of this app is so full of bugs! I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, updating, forcestopping, rebooting, but nothing works. I have full LTE and it tells me it has no internet connection when I'm in the app. I was previously signed in before this progress began and I kept getting a pop-up that said it couldn't load any of my plans or photos. As an Annual Passholder who paid extra for a year of MaxPass, I honestly want a refund for the MaxPass because I haven't been able to use the service on my phone even once.

This app was a complete waste, bought 4 fast passes, and not able to use it once, what a waste of $40. Three main attractions are broken and not working, and that includes splash mountain. App is not working at all for the last 3 hrs, and I haven't been able to utilize the app at all. You would think a company this profitable, would have the IT infrastructure to cope with the magnitude of people coming in the gates daily, and have a reliable app to solve some of the problems that exist Very disappointed !!!! I want my money back !!!!

Slow as all get out. Screens take forever to load. The maxpass image link doesnt seem to work. The app is a great idea. Just bad execution. That you can get fast passes on the app is the biggest benefit -- once the screen loads.
