App worked great and then 2 days later the app refuses to load while on wifi but fine on data. Also, once I got the home security system my wifi started bugging out with my other devices. Turned out the my modem only has 5ghrtz and not the standard duel 5ghrtz and 2.4. Going to cancel both internet and security. Not a quality service.

Every time I go to touch a sensor through the app to bypass it, the app just closes. I basically cannot arm my system through the app at all now. It is very frustrating. I've never had this issue before this week.

Avoid XFINITY home/business security !! In order to use the 2 way talk of the camera you need the "Xfinity" app which crashes frequently and is inconsistent in loading times. The "Xfinity" app has better camera functionality over this app which is meant for HOME SECURITY.... Their available cameras are terrible quality especially at night they only cover about 6ft in front of the camera as opposed to other brand name cameras that are cheaper and have wider range of night vision.

Incredibly easy ton set up and an amazingly small price for such a large piece of mind. Very impressed that they called me to offer a security camera that is 24 hour live recording and can watch it from anywhere...and it was free!!

For years now, I keep getting the message "TOUCHSCREEN IS NOT CONNECTED TO WIFI" more times than I can count which usually means I'm not able to bypass sensors or arm/disarm the system when I'm out of my home. I've grown tired of chatting or having techs "repair" it one day and the next day, it's down again. This has been an EXTREMELY frustrating experience and I am anticipating the moment I can terminate my contract.

I can check security status sitting anywhere. I've been able to troubleshoot my TVs and internet using my phone and if I have trouble I can get a person to help.

AI detection HORRIBLE! A 5lb cat 15' away from camera triggers as a person, and a person 5' away, unlocks door, opens door, and goes through it, does not trigger as motion whatsoever? Bills have been all f'd up since the new print format, discounts were removed randomly, equipment purchasing on installment plan suddenly billed the balance, and still the installment the following month, AND NEVER RECEIVED THE EQUIPMENT! 6 MOS. ARGUING TO HAVE IT SHIPPED OUT! NADA, Arbitration initiated!

I bought an xfinity doorbell cam and its not even compatible with this app. I can see the other cameras but the front door is not even on there. The customer service told me its because the doorbell is a new product its not been added to the program yet (its now been over 6 months). Why the hell are they even selling it to people if that is the case? So basically have to use xfinity HOME app to arm and disarm, then switch to xfinity app to view my just my doorbell cam.

I like them not good paperwork on how to get them to work. Wish they would give info on how to add two instead of one. So pleas make things more clear on how to get them going and how to use the app it is kind of confusing but otherwise they should be good. Also I have called Xfinity home and chatted with them. They told me to call FedEx or ups on where my cameras, if you like Xfinity and want a refund don't get cameras from them pleas get them some place deals. Because Xfinity will not give you

Crashes constantly...S21 Ultra. When it works, it does what it should. But the constant crashes are annoying, especially when you pretty much have the best phone on the market. *UPDATE* Had totally stopped working. When opened, it just loads, never opens... PATHETIC. *UPDATE* Several months later, still hot garbage. Best phone on market, multiple updates and it still acts the same. What a JOKE *UPDATE #3* Several updates and still absolute TRASH. Crashes 90% of thr time, locks up. GARBAGE!

Please get rid of the reminder to use your other app, every time. Do we really need it EVERYTIME??? I have your other app and use it, now stop reminding me with your constant popup reminders. App still locks up and freezes. Have to close all apps to clear it and start again.

I cannot set alarms for my motion sensors through my app. I am an android user. The other frustrating part is when I open the app it's keeps on looking for service even though it's through Xfinity.

So far It has worked as advertised. Nice to see video evidence of deliveries and my dog traipsing down the driveway. Not to mention the squirrels, rabbits and occasional raccoon it spots late at night.

Love the app but one of the door sensors is not working properly. I can't set the alarm because a sensor keeps detecting an open door then a closed door. Not happy with the performance of the system.

Every time I try to log in, the app kicks me out and says "We're having some trouble logging you in" with a Try Again link. When I try again, the same thing happens over and over. Rendering this app completely useless.

Too many glitches. For example, as I'm typing this, in trying to bypass a señor so i can activate my alarm and as soon as I click on the trouble sensor, the app just closes on me.

Zero options to change camera order within the app. Cannot shut off beeping on the Home device from the Home app. Cannot shut off beeping even on the Home device itself. All Comcast software and equipment belongs in the trash. All in all, pretty standard garbage from Comcast, America's most hated company.

I'm going to go with 4 stars so far because I have just started using this app today but so far so good I would spend far high li y recomend people to download this app if you want some kind of a good sucurity camera getting this app would be your best best it really easy to set up and you dont have to have all kinds of your info to use the app just the camera and a Xfinity ID,Mobile Number,Password, or Username on your Account that's all I'm sure I'll go back and rate it as a 5 soon I love it

Very bad app. When you are trying to get connected and see what's happening, it says getting connected forever. Not useful at all. I have strong Wi-Fi and data still no use.

All of a sudden it won't load on anyone's phone, just keeps saying connecting and it never does. PS 1 of us is actually in the house and it won't connect. Then again shouldn't be surprised works about as well as your internet. 🙄 😒

I've been having problems viewing my camera from the for a few days. Today my camera no longer shows on the home app. Says I need to add a device. Tried to install camera again with no luck. I reset the camera and it still will not connect. Having to use Xfinity app to view my camera. So irritating!!

I love Xfinity home and being able to control my cameras and two-way speaking with recording and sharing.. I couldn't ask for better service. They have already come in handy several times when needed! I would tell anybody to get these and use Xfinity home.

Stops working unpredictably Help is very hard to access for anything outside of usual menus. Felt like letting it do its thing and setting off an a and police call. They don't give you a lot of choices ex ept going into the house to shut it manually. And now, guess what? No way to send this feedback.

This app does not work with my S21 + 5G phone. Went to Xfinity store, they could not help so sent out a technician and he could not figure it out so he called their people and they could not figure it. So because we were able to log into my tablet now it's my problem because it's my phone not their app. I'm so frustrated with this. The two employees I dealt with were very nice and tried everything they could, do I just want to make it clear the employees were very good!

It doesn't work I have tried to install my security cam and it keep telling me I need to go ahead and reset it and then it says something went wrong I have already went and replaced my router and the security cam and still saying the same issue I already have two technician came here and check my internet and they said the internet is fine

Well this app is useless when I try to access my Xfinity Home system from my Win10 PC. The only option offered is to download the app, but there is no version for a win10 PC, therefore nothing works. IE USELESS.

Trying to delete automatic Arm rule ND keep getting error code 317102. Managed to somehow get through the process once, but now repeatedly getting the error code. When the app features work it's great, but the above issue is a total frustration. Makes it unreliable.

Every time I try to add a feature "that's offered," I'm directed to "add the Xfinity app," which I'm already in. It keeps sending me through this never ending loop which makes me want to cancel the service and go with another company. And yes, I've closed the program and started again but that didn't help.

i spent 3 hours trying to reconnect wireless keypad. I was just replacing batteries. i had it in pairing mode. chat room service really doesn't have a clue. they ended up wasting 4 hrs time. there is no place on app to add wireless keypad. even on the home screen. no place to add a wireless keypad.

Xfinity is great with one exception, which is connecting to speak to an actual human and not a robot computer. I had to resort to going through mobile services for new service just to get a live person. 🤯 It is hard to get to technical advisors or anyone on the phone. Which I find very frustrating, 😤 along with many others who have reviewed X services. 🤨💯

Doesn't work anymore. On the Overview page it says Welxome to Xfinity Home, and has a button to Add a device. Where is the security alarm control that used to be there? I don't eant to add a device, I don't have any other Xfinity compatible devices. I just want to control my alarm like I used to.

Still continues to be the worst service ever. Randomly I am unable to set the alarm via the app...just keeps circling connecting and never connects. When that happens you have to Uninstall the app and install it again. Due to COVID they will not send anyone out to remove this piece of s#!+!If I put the alarm on using the house keypad I must open and close my front door to activate it. Cool if I went out my front door when I leave, but I don't I leave through my garage. Waste of time to get!

Great cameras! I have 2 exterior and 1 interior. All 3 plugged into 120 volt receptacles. When the doggies bark, I pick up my phone and see what's going on, very helpful at night when I'm sleeping. When traveling overseas I give a helpful neighbor a phone with the Xfinity Home app on it.

Time and time again ive gotten home from work at 1 or 2am, and what do you know...the app just spins and won't disarm. So I get to wake everyone up. I've reset, reinstalled, called support and they are of no assistance. You certainly don't get what you pay for with xfinity.

I started using the Xfinity Home app about 6 months ago. I'm very glad I did, because now I can monitor my home remotely, save video clips, and activate and deactivate the alarm system from anywhere. Sometimes my Android phone gets hosed up and I have to reboot my phone for my security system to work correctly, but that usually fixes the problem.

The app needs work. It takes forever to connect even when I have a good internet connection, and I have it set to register my fingerprint because it is so easy to do that but debating on taking it off because the app starts arming for Away when I'm just trying to get into the app and I am in the house so I'm racing to get it to stop which can be troublesome at times. Please fix!!

The cameras, touchscreen, wifi, doesn't work. I started my service with xfinity June 2021, since day 1 I have had problems with the equipment and services from xfinity. Cameras are constantly down and looking for internet connections, same with the phone (which I had to eventually cancel) canceling the phone service caused the already high bill to go higher. The cable boxes have the same problems, the internet is extremely slow. The pod hasn't helped either with the wifi signal. Not happy

Xfinity Home App keeps crashing. It just started today a few hours ago. Worked fine this morning when I used it to arm the alarm remotely. Then the app booted me off a couple hours ago for no apparent reason and when I tried to log back in, every time I go to put my password in, it crashes. Really frustrating. I tried to uninstall and install again. Same thing, can't log in without it crashing. Xfinity, please fix this issue or I will find a different home security company that is reliable!

Randomly signs you out of the app, in addition to freezing, also was not capturing a photo upon entry. Xfinity came, and swapped out both the wireless router and camera. So far so good, excellent customer resolution/satisfaction!!

The app is incredibly frustrating. It takes several minutes to connect to my home system despite having decent internet bandwidth based on a Google speed test. The control of the thermostat system is ridiculous. The app will tell me the AC is on and set for 68 in the middle of winter when the heat is on. It seems like there is a complete lack of quality assurance at Xfinity.

No longer connects to the alarm, there's just been an error "We're having some trouble logging you in". Happens on both my and my girlfriend's phones (Samsung Galaxy S20 FE). The other Xfinity apps work fine. Tried clearing data, uninstalling and reinstalling...no luck.

It shouldn't take 2 minutes to correct to a home security setup tied to the same wifi network. As a side note, the motion sensing cameras are only about 50% accura at capturing people or animals. And finally, the perpetual warranty was switched to 12 months right after purchase.

Is extremely limited in what you can do and very buggy. I've had an issue with the system arming via automation after I deleted all automations. Even after restarting the physical system it still arms on it's own. To me this is a pretty serious problem and I'm still waiting waiting on after two days for support. I find it crazy that you can only control your system from a phone and the web app isn't supported anymore.

Underdeveloped at best. Good for viewing live camera but that's about it. Can't program automation, notifications, or any of the other features that they lead you to believe are there in their slick advertising. Typical Comcast. Get a Ring camera instead.

The app itself is pretty good to give you a status of the security system and to turn it on and off. The reason for the 2 stars is lately I have to turn the video recording back on almost everyday as it says it is off. When I turn it back on some recordings are there.

Very easy to control your whole home. All Xfinity services can be accessed through the app. I happen to really like it. You are able to see and connect to every device on your wifi network. Because of this you can set parental controls, limit screen time, block access to a specific device and also create schedules to have your network turn off and on any set days and times you want. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The app stopped working after the latest update. As others have mentioned, the app keeps telling me to update my browser. I have downloaded several browsers and set them as default and nothing works. Please fix.

However, I feel this time it deserves some kudos to the way the app works and the fact that I can chat with the very nice people who help if there is an occasional problem. Since the last update I have been having trouble arming for night from my phone. It finally does get the arming done but it takes forever and it does not start showing on my phone even tho it shows on the home monitor. If fixe would be a 10

It is good to know what is going on with my alarm. However, it is very stressful having an alarm system that you continually have to monitor with sensors losing communication and I have to be the one to repair the problem. I am paying to have the system work for me. I never had to deal with that when I had ADT. Therefore I am now considering changing back to ADT.

Well, when I truly needed an alarm system, I had no problem getting it from Xfinity. Xfinity employees have takened the time to walk me through changing and setting my pin several times. Their employees have explained to me about the various bundles. They try to make sure that we, the customers, are satisfied with them and their services. If we aren't, they would like for us to share with them why and what they can do to correct it. Thank you for allowing me to take this survey.

When it works, it's great, most of the time it doesn't and I don't even have a camera to Dela with like most. Takes forever to connect, when it does cinnect. Wife and I got new phones and now we don't get alarm notifications, but they appeared on the old phone before I reset it. Now the app won't connect at all and says I need to login, but times out on the login screen. I'm surprised at how this app continues to get worse and worse year after year.

Away from residence. The app does not work efficiently as it should. Cannot ARM system nor regulate TEMPERATURE schedule from phone. In trying to speak to Comcast agent, the QUE disconnects/sends me to wrong area. I've uninstalled/re-installed app multiple times. It DOES NOT work efficiently. The LAPTOP much more efficient; in the 10+ years, never had an issue with laptop. We are away for 5 mos.; no one can access our residence thus, wasting energy heat and cannot ARM house. So how is the APP more efficient? If residence is burglarized, COMCAST will be sued due to the ineffectiveness of the APP not working efficiently.

Now they have removed any viewing from a laptop or computer. They think your phone should be attached to your hip.; Access to home security is only via an app. and it is impossible to add to your computer. They only want to discuss this via virtual portal. Same as Email app on a phone, they removed that app as a way to streamline that you have to use a Browser such as Google or Edge to get Eamil on Phone. But you can only view Home security cameras on a Phone not a computer. COMCAST/XFINITY SUCKS

Why have you taken away the ability to view on the Home section of the Xfinity site? Can not view on a desktop anymore. Why would you take a feature out? I was hoping you would have added a bit more friendly interface. Is it a cost cutting measure? You offered a service and now are taking features away? Is there going to be a price decrease? I changed out a system to get the Comcast home system. I am regreting this investment.

This app does not work. When I try to sign in, it insists i need to install a browser, but I have two installed. Comcast still hasn't fixed it. **A year and a half down the road and this is still a bug. An endless avalanche of updates for everything but not for this simple bug. What is the problem?

You are getting 1 start for removing access to viewing my feed and recordings from my computer via web access. It makes it quite difficult sometimes to see what is really going on from a stupid phone. We are so close to removing everything and just going with someone else.

Comcast sucks! First they take away the app to check my email and force me to use some off brand app to check it. Talk about a security risk! Who is this company and how do I know they are secure? Now, I can't connect to my home security system via my computer. Have to use my phones app that doesn't have the same capabilities. They are making it harder and harder to justify the ridiculous prices they charge for their declining services. WHY DID THEY GET RID OF WEB ACCESS??? it makes no sense right now that we are forced to use the app. I can't use the app like I did the website, to scroll through video footage. This is a major problem, the app playback sucks bc it doesn't show 100% of the feed, only clips. This is a problem!!!!!! I'm paying 24/7 video fee to not access my video feed. SMH xfinity is losing customer satisfaction.

Always have to trouble shoot. When it is really important to have a scene record it 100% never works. At least every two days we have to unplug and wait 10 seconds and plug back in. The camera is supposed to have night vision and it does not. When you try to listen to the sound of what is around your home it picks up on the wind, cars driving by anything but the noise around your home.

Terrible app.! You can't even save video like you could before with your computer. Used to be able to have a mouse go back and forth on your video. Now all you can do is see when something happens with a motion detector on the camera.

Praying continuously logout of my app. The app is always malfunctioning. The alarm system is not working correctly. And not get ahold of a representative at Xfinity. These technical issues with the app an alarm system needs to be fixed immediately or I will be ending my services with Xfinity. People do not feel safe when your alarm system is not working correctly.

I love the Home Xfinity app bc I can set the alarm in my car or disarm it on my way home. It's so convenient to do everything from the app and not have to handle the touch screen. They removed our ability to review camera footage on the web portal to look for anomalies that thier "motion" sensors didn't pick up. You can't go to a specific time on the xfinity home app. They're removing the email app on our phones and forcing us to use the web portal. What the hell is this company doing? Been a customer for over 2 decades and they will be loosing my business.

Where is my ability to check things from my PC? If XFINITRY has removed this ability , that I signed up for, them the service is horrible and and changed without my permission. Do I have to sign up with another security company????????? I don't want to have to look at a tiny screen to see what's been happening around my property. Give me back my original service!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This app does not allow me to monitor all times. It only allows for specific events that were captured by the camera. They no longer offer the PC monitoring, so if anything we are less secure because we can no longer monitor the past 24 hours. Xfinity is a big disappointment right now. Change the app or bring back the PC access.

The app does work but only on a Mobile device. When I signed up and agreed to a monthly cost they agreed to a level of service. One of those was being able to access my home security cameras from any computer or mobile device. They have since taken this service away but have not stopped charging the same amount for this lowered service! They when I ask for a credit they say that this has changed for everyone, like its ok to steal from me cause they are doing it to all of you as well??!!!?? call and demand that if they lower the service provided then they must lower the bill. The contractor cant do most of the work but want all of the pay, if you want the agreed payment you need to offer the agreed services.

"Unable to Connect" Yeah when I have to leave my kid at home and arm or disarm the system and the thing can't connect or takes 5,000 years to do so, it doesn't inspire confidence and I have to speed home to guarantee that everything is alright. I nickname this problem the RED RING OF DEATH. That's right, just like Xbox. This is a HUGE PROBLEM. The problem is, if you're with Xfinity mobile, the transition between wifi and cell data is NOT SMOOTH. It interrupts your connection. Not cool.

Totally unsatisfactory. I need access on my computer and now I cannot. I have had access on my cell phone all along and use that while travelling. But, I spend several months a year as a snowbird and check my cameras several times a day using my computer. I will terminate this service as soon as my contract runs out and find another provider.

Originally I gave this 4 stars, but the more I thought about it the angrier I got. It lost a couple star for the amount of time it takes to connect. It logs me out all the time, and it's nearly impossible to disarm in a hurry if one of my children sets off the alarm. Half the time we use the keypad instead.. It's still amazing to monitor your property from a distance and let in family members while you're away, but it still takes forever.

Every day I use my phone to turn on and off my alarm when I'm coming home or leaving for work. Every day, it takes at least 5 minutes to login, even when i ask to stay logged in. Really annoying. All of the xfinity apps suck! 2/26/21. App still sucks! Wish I could use all caps to yell that they need to fix this. This app is awful!

This app is a joke. I can not view my live camera feed. It does not record every motion or it only records the last moments of motion. After uninstalling it several times as directed by Xfinity tech support, I must review this app as a huge disappointment and failure from Xfinity/Comcast.

Here's another one I own their security system with the touch screen and 4 sensors and 2 cameras all I wanted to do was to be able to use the cameras they had a add pop up on my phone so you could use them wrong. When I tried to set them up it kept saying that I have the wrong modem it said that I needed the Gateway X1 little did they know that's what I have. They didn't work once again they wanted me to buy the home service. Instead I got Internet Essentials nfor $9.95 a month and Roku.

This app is terrible, it logs me out constantly and twice a week it wont let me disarm or arm anything. Try standing at the front door while everyone asleep at 3am and the alarm is set to night so I have to disarm or the siren goes off. Completely unexectable Update 1/26/2021...still doing it. Deleted the app, reinstalled it. Used different devices, apple and Android. Still the same results. Its obviously a problem that they can't fix. Now I'm waking the new born baby up late at night.

I've been having so much trouble the Home Security App. I've called their customer technical support dept. to include their advanced level, to have them only hang up on me, and not get the app up & running to this date. Seriously looking into switching over to ADT, I hear that their system and customer service is much better. My family's safety and security is very important to me, so I need to go to a service that is there for you when there are problems with their equipment & apps.

An absolute joke of an alarm system. The app fails to connect more often than it works, it fails to set the alarm intermittently, and has a clunky interface. I am only keeping this alarm system while I shop for other alternatives. Comcast sucks

My experience with Xfinity home security has been excellent. Whenever there was a problem, I would contact Xfinity customer service for the Home Security and they would happily help me with my situation. So, as far as I'm concerned, Xfinity home security is number one. So far I find no fault in them. Thank you, have a good day, and stay safe.

Very disappointed. I pay way too much money to have four cameras with having only one record out of those four and it doesn't pick up a lot. Today it quit working at quarter after 2 and hasn't recorded anything. On top of that installers put in places outside and I didn't know that the cameras weren't waterproof. They then wanted me to pay for new cameras after their installers put them where they did. Shameful for a communications company.

I've had Xfinity home for 7 years and have been using this app the entire time. Never any problems with the system or this app. Has always worked flawlessly. I love the feature that allows you to check your cameras away from home using your phone so I can check on my pets or just see the status of the house. The only draw back is the choice of devices that will work with the home automation functions. They are either limited or do not have the manufacturer of the devices I have.

There needs to be a calendar feature (like the one on the Activity screen) that let's you find recordings from a particular day instead of having to scroll through days and days of recordings. Once the date is selected, it should then offer the same timeline feature that's in the Xfinity app that let's you see where on the recording movement took place. It doesn't make sense that a separate app has more features than the main app.

The App lacks features that all other systems have and the cost to purchase the equipment and lack of features and lack of improvements being made is extremely disappointing. The app really desperately needs to have push notifications for camera motion. The cameras on the system can trigger motion saves in the history, so the app should be able to send a push notification on that action. The fact that they don't have a two way talk camera is also disappointing and once purchase, you're stuck...

Xfinity has our back! There are multiple things I find beneficial with Xfinity. The Xfi program protects our privacy and safety via guarding our electronics on wifi and our homes security that is also on wifi. Our home security system is easy to use and the app makes it ten times more easy. Watch live or recorded. At a push of a few buttons I can arm and disarm from my phone.I use the app more then the hub itself! Easy to prompt rules and edit.100% awesome! Piece of mind at a fingers touch!

So it takes way too long to load the app onve its open. Then arming or unarming has been a major issue. It takes too long . I just set the alarm and I'm in the same room as the tablet for the system and it still took too long to connect. Im not sure what happened but the app sucks

The app is not working at all on 3 Android phones in my family. Partner also sets it from the keypad on his way to work and I wake up an hour later with it not armed at all. Very disappointing for security especially with how things are going in this world!!!

This andriod app is driving me crazy! The app works great on the iPhones in my home but not the Android. It takes so long so long to load that it times out. If I do get lucky enough for it to load it does the same thing when I'm trying to Arm or Disarm my system. This is frustrating as we pay for this service and its an important part of our home. In reading the other reviews it seems like we are not the only ones.....

I'm paying waaaay to much for a Home Security that doesn't work all the time. Kat P wrote in the comments exactly the same issues I'm having, and Comcast replies, Can you be more specific... Like How was that not specific enough?! Our cameras don't always load, and when they do, they take what seems like forever to open. It kicks me out at random and I have to log back in. We had our truck broken into and our camera picked it up but when I went to save the clip, it wouldn't let me!!

It's been a horrible experience with multiple phones from household members. It's always going offline. If it's offline how is it securing the premises? This whole system needs to be revamped. Paying money for garbage service. Need to look into finding another company for security. Do not recommend.

The app usually works with the exception of it saying I'm offline and having to log in to access it. Today it's bugging TF out and it's so irritating. I'm trying to access it from both of my attached devices and I either get a message saying that I need to be authorized by the primary account holder (ME) or it's taking FOREVER TO LOG IN. 😒

Has potential to be awesome but unfortunately this app has been extremely unreliable for my family across multiple phones, both Android and iOS. Lots of downtime and error screens. And you cannot bypass the app to manage via browser. Which means if you plan to use this app (see cameras, disarm, arm, unlock, etc) you'd better hope it works when you are having an actual emergency.

Slow to load and didn't work half the time. Edit: the app will load forever, sometimes it will connect to the home sometimes it doesn't. Other times it will log me out for no reason and I have to log back in for it to work. Sometimes it will sit there loading and never load or it will lock but not display it. It does not provide me a notification when the alarm gets triggered either, even though i turned all of my notifications on

This app is frustrating. I hardly works. Why have a app to observe your cameras and you almost never can see them. I get more troubleshooting messages then what I want to see when I go on this app. When do they ever update or read these messages to make the app better and workable. As soon as I can find another security service that works, I may have to leave.

Supposed to allow Access to the secure "Xfinity" hotspot but it doesn't. I've contacted customer "service" dozens of times but their customer service (as friendly, nice, well meaning as they are) genuinely tries to help but they are setup for failure by the company. They literally just repeat word for word what it says on the help site. I mean, I'm calling because I've tried all the troubleshooting steps listed and they just rattle off the same info, transfer me, repeat 5 times until I give up.

Works well and easy to monitor. Will give 5 stars when Pixel 4 biometric facial recognition is added as a way to arm and disarm my system. I am able to use the facial recognition feature on my iPhone for this and was able to use the fingerprint scanner on my Galaxy S10, so I know it can be implemented. Please do!

Very useful with handy tools to monitor my home alarm system from anywhere. Customizable notifications are especially helpful. But change a fingerprint on your phone, and it refuses to let you use it again, unless you uninstall and reinstall this app.

I love my Xfinity home app I'm able to do so many different things in this app on loan and everything you get me to do I'm very thankful for and yeah definitely grabs ass if you have Xfinity or Comcast on definitely grab this for your emails and other things that you want to do and you'll soon see all the things you can do with this apple loan transfer mail so much more pictures and so on it's super easy to use

Constantly logs me and other members of my family out of their accounts. Takes forever to load so really impractical for using to arm and disarm system. It's faster to just walk into the house and use the keypad unless I have passenger in the car start doing it 5min away from home. Also suddenly can no longer save video clips from my cameras after they rolled out their payed subscription service. Use to be able to save 15sec clips and all I get now are errors. I have an S10+ so not an old OS....

Slowest response time ever. By the time my cameras come up whoever or whatever peaked my interest to even look on the app had passed. The loading takes so long that I can answer the door faster. Which is one of the reasons I wanted cameras. To not have to open my door or peek out the window. Too slow on start up. Other than that its fine.

Mediocre at best...when it works. Often doesn't connect to the system even when sitting in the driveway. Tried to set the alarm & an hour later the app was still spinning. The 2% of the time it does work correctly it's great but the 98% unreliability stinks. The only sure method is the keypad inside.

I've got numerous browsers installed on my phone. All of them are active and have access to wifi on demand. Upon launching the Home app recently it suddenly responds that I "must have a web browser to continue". I upgraded to the newest version and it didnt help. Hmmm!. Not impressed

Really simple interface to access all of the features of the security system within one or two "clicks" at most. Well designed! Two suggestions for improvement: 1. It would be nice if there were two or even three emergency speed-dial options instead of just the one. Why not three, with one as the default of one of the other choices presented isn't pressed in 3-5 seconds? 2. There needs to be some work done on the camera delay. It's at least 1 - 2.5 seconds before motion is shown in the app.

Used to work great. Had three techs come out in three days, says nothing is wrong however Camaras are still not working and the technical support suggested I choose another alarm company since they are unable to fix it. REALLY!!!!! We've been Comcast customers since 1981. I called another alarm company and they said they could install a system that works.

My cameras weren't working. Techs have come and gone about 5 times. Finally, tech calls someone and got booted to the highest tier possible. Unplugged alarm system router, voila, cameras are working. They also told me if I swap for new Bluetooth cameras, it will not be displayed on touchscreen, anymore. That's a dumb idea. Who's the genius that thought of that idea? Smh! So new cameras will make touschreen useless, in a way.

GREAT and reliable. I love being able to zoom in with 1080p. I like hearing as well as seeing everything but I would like to control the automatic night vision, sometimes I do not need it on. I only habe to reset my camera about once every 3 months.

There is a very long delay in connection and when setting status. Additionally, if you get push notifications, time stamps are in the time zone of the alarm. So if your in California and visiting NYC, any push notifications will be in PST, not EST.

I Love being able to check that all my devices and sensors are armed. I can check on my system from anywhere just by using the home app. I can also check the status of the system in less then 10 seconds. Its a Great App., very important, very useful, very handy! It is so Awesome for those bumps in the night, I don't even have to wake up all the way to check that my security system is still armed and I can go right back to sleep, feeling very secure. I do not use cameras though... PRICELESS!

The new update to this app is now glitching it out. It will not let me log in. It opens 13 windows to ask me to sign in, then when i try to login to one of them it just goes in and out. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, did not work! This app so sucks! Constant problems. Wish I could get one of those push button key clickers. Makes me want to change my provider. Update: 1/2/20 It's been 6 months and I'm still having the same problem. It will work for a while, then go back to glitching. 😡💩

When my alarm goes off, no one ever calls and the police aren't notified, if I cancel it from my phone. How do they know someone isn't forcing me to cancel the alarm on my phone if they never call? Massive fail. This alone makes the service worthless. Sign in should occur in app, but requires opening a browser (only Chrome, not Firefox). Also, too many false notices telling me my alarm was just activated or deactivated when no one is home. Plus video recording requires a subscription. Worthless.

Very buggy app. Freezes a lot. Doesn't record some things. I went on my porch to remove webb from in front of camera. Camera didn't record it. Makes me wonder what else it doesn't record. Cameras constantly have to be reset.

Was told this would be free.. it is not..you changed my tv selections which still has not been resolved but l just can not spend another day on the phone with you at this Christmas season l understood l would pay for additional cameras but the install and service was to be free. It did sound too good to be true and you got me there. It seems most of the channels l originally watched is going to increase my bill tremendously. Shame on you! Marie

Not getting alarm notifications, or really, any notifications now. App is slow to load/refresh when opening again (status changes take forever). Not super functional when it comes to rapid access to arm, disarm and monit5my home.

I had security issues with my sensors. Your csr was super unhelpful and impolite, and then instructed me to delete the app and reload it, but it wont reload. Now I have no way to see if home security is working. Thanks. A lot. For nothing. You owe me a ton of credit and 5 hours trying to fix it. Still not loading.

Love it and have been using it since I bought my home a little over 2 years ago. I also love the upgrade to having sound! Now it's a perfect 10 in my eyes! I have no issues with load up, if I had any I dont remember it. Thank you Xfinity for keeping myself, family, fur-babies & home safe!

I have a Samsung Note 9 and cannot get the app to work. After signing in, defaults to the home page to add a device. I have uninstalled, cleared cache, and rebooted to only encounter the same issue. The technician set our phones up and we had no issues since the first update. It is very irritating and frustrating not to be able to enjoy the intended use of this app. Not to mention what is going on at my house when we are away. I hope there is a patch in the works for Samsung Note users.

The app is designed pretty well overall, I do wish that the connectivity was better and the app sometimes has a really hard time loading up. Otherwise I do enjoy being able to arm my alarm remotely from anywhere and get notifications of when the alarm is armed or disarmed etc. The notifications are nice, and there's many available.

When this app is working properly, it is a very nice convenience. Sadly, too often, the app STOPS working. To make this worse, the app won't even recognize my user name and password. No, neither has changed. If you choose to install the app, I hope it works for you. When it does work, it's a nice tool. When it stops working, however, resist the urge to throw your phone. It's not your phone's fault.

This app is slow and unresponsive. It takes forever to set alarms or clear them. It is easier to drive home and manually set it then to wait for this app. I can be at home on wifi and it still loads forever.

The Xfinity Home security is fine. It works. Triggered the alarm by accident and Xfinity was quick to call to check if I needed assistance. That part is fine. It's the app. I cannot, for the life of me, get into the app. Some days, it will immediately take. Most days, however, I'm sitting there since the beginning of time waiting for it to connect. So, if paranormal happenings or a burglary decides to happen, guess what? Can't check. App sucks. Need to fix that issue.

This app has worked seamlessly for us so far. We utilize only home security sensors and smoke detectors (no cameras) but the app opens immediately and gives an overview of the system. Additionally it allows us to arm or disarm the system at any time. It comes in handy when you forget to arm when leaving or if you have guests that need to get inside and you don't want to share your code. I just have them text me and I disarm it from wherever I am!

Does what I want a Security System to do. Only complaint I have is it takes too long to connect. Example: You hear a noise outside and you want to see what it is. It takes several seconds like 30 or more to connect. By then whatever is out there is gone.

This app is horrible. It doesn't work most of the time. One day it works and the next it doesn't. Majority of the time I can't view the camera when I'm away or at home. I've called and they did troubleshoot and reboots. Then it works only to stop again. I'm frustrated the cameras cost so much for one and the app is useless.

App rarely works. If I forget to set it from the keypad, it takes about 15 minutes and a dozen attempts to get the phone app to work. Many days I think the alarm set via the app but get home in the evening to find that it didnt work. Probably going to look at going to switch again with the term is up.

What is going on? problem after problem with either the service or the cameras and now the actual app😡 and its been at least a week... FIX IT I'm using a Galaxy note 9 with Verizon provider; if that helps at all. Updated from 5/2019 to 10/2019: Much better and so far I do like the added sound feature with the security cameras now!

App is waste of time. XFINITY home security is great but app sucks. Half the tine it doesn't load. When app initially loads it should take more then a minute tops. Sometime this app.never loads and you have to end it and try again. Other half the time the app gets stuck on disarming or arming screen with circle.

My app keeps logging me out then sometimes when I log back in it asks me to add device. It would randomly open on my phone, when I am doing something else. Very frustrating. So, I uninstall and reinstall to access my security system, did this a few days ago and need to do it again today. If it worked properly, it would be very convenient.

Since returning fro vacation, there were some issues with the WiFi. I saw the numerous comments. What I did was uninstall and reinstalled the app late last night. Today, there have been no issues with either the app or the WiFi.

I won't download the app because it is only getting one star. The issues described are the same ones I had with it since I first switched to Xfinity. When I tried to use it to set or turn off the house alarm it would not respond to my request, rendering it useless.

Easy to use and very responsive! We have it programmed to auto set every night at 10 o'clock. We didn't notice a guest had gone outside beforehand; when he returned, it immediately woke up the household! However, under the circumstances, we had no problem canceling the alarm and the authorities were not notified.

Can not sign in anymore after Sep12. App is very slow to load and sign in takes forever. Update was supposed to help, but things are worse after your Sep 12 update. Not at all reliable to access remotely. I can not even login when on same network. Do you want people to just sit in front of the main keypad to arm or disable? Just wonder if it is reliable when I am on vacation. Better to not have this service. Very disappointing. Update:Below link not useful as does not load.

I cannot consistently and reliably open the app and turn on or off the system quickly. Usually I either have to log in again, watch it buffer a long while, close and reopen the app a couple times because it got stuck buffering...Are other security system apps the same???

Since a recent update, this app doesn't work while I'm using my xfinity wifi. If I try to open the app using wifi, it takes me to the sign in page every time, and then opens a browser page that never loads. When I turn my wifi off and use my phone data, the app works fine. And my wifi works perfectly well with every other app, including watching 1080p content on YouTube. It just seems to be this app. I love the customizations that this app allows, but not being able to use it on Wi-Fi is huge.

What happened?? This app used to be great. Now, I can't alarm or disable my house with the app, all it does is have the 4 dancing dots. If my phone doesn't work then my husbands...might. It logs me out all the time. If I could cancel this and go with a different company I would! Can we please get a new update! One that works!

Seriously, go with someone else. If we didn't have a contract with them and I would. They suck, app is having issues on a regular basis, cameras aren't working properly or syncing properly. They always have connectivity issues. If I could give them 0 stars I would.

Have been having issues with a camera that goes offline for hours at a time. When I called, they had me delete the camera and told me I wouldn't be able to add it back on my touchscreen, I could only add it back from this app. Great, I had my app open and ready. Then after failing to get to screen the lady on the phone wanted, she put me on hold, then proceeded to tell me my phone (Google Pixel 3XL) must be "too new" and I wouldn't be able to add the camera from my app ton my phone. Seriously??

Xfinity has really great products that are made even better with easy to use and helpful apps like this one. The Xfinity Home app makes it easy to monitor cameras, set alarms, create rules, etc. it also integrates with products like door locks, lights and garage door openers. Very helpful for security!

I love the app and they system. I like how I can bypass the window sensors when I leave the window open when the air conditioner is in the window or just to leave a window open to let the breeze in while not home. finally figured out how to disable the notification anytime a door is remained open for more than 5 minutes.

Great app. Works like a charm. Late (late) last night I had to go outside so I disabled the alarm at the panel (and locked the door). I came back in thru the back door and went to straight to my bedroom. I enabled the alarm thru the phone app. No problem.

I like the app...I would definitely recommend it to friends or family. My only problem with the app is sometimes I want to activate/deactivate the system and the "take the tour" feature pops up or you have to sign in. It's frustrating at times when your on a rush.

i getting this message: "Status Unavailable. Your touchscreen has lost power. " What? I did the troubleshooting recommended: check that unit is plugged in? and check in plugged into power source. I'm using app on my cell phone none of the suggestions are as applicable. it has to be on your end. Can you help?

The Home App is a major fail. I've only had the system for two months but much of the time I cannot get connected, I spend way too much time struggling with it and even driving to the Comcast store to try to get it corrected so I'm in the market for something else that actually works when I need it to. Sorry Comcast "It's 4 No's from me".

Doesn't work. After 3 months of various updates STILL not working while attempting to view live camera feeds. STILL buffers and crashes . Rebooting camera, uninstalling and reinstalling app, no of these things work. Essentially a waste of money if I can't view live camera feeds on any of my mobile devices while I'm away from home. (Galaxy Note8 , Galaxy Note 9, Galaxy Tab 10.1A, iPods Touch) Only other option is to get rid of Xfinity home because it just does not work!

This has worked perfectly for me over the years but I have not been getting arm/disarm notifications for the past week. I don't have a Samsung phone, I am using an HTC U11. UPDATE: the app won't open at all now, it crashes every time I try.

Love that I am able to arm my alarm from my phone if I forget to do it before leaving home! UPDATE: 3 DAYS later!!! So.....today it wanted me to log in and it won't allow me to! says that my password (that was just set up on Saturday!) isn't valid! Fortunately, I was close enough to home that it didn't matter that the alarm wasn't set. I have a Samsung S8+ so it's not the S10 glitch! I deleted the app hoping to reload it and now it won't download at all!

Very disappointing app so far. When our security system was first installed last week this app worked wonderfully. Sadly this last update has made this app pointless. App takes forever to login, when it does eventually login there is an hour plus delay on sensor zones, doesn't show when system is armed, won't disarm and now won't even login. Love having apps on my phone with no utility that take up space. Thanks for the recent update, looks like several of us really appreciate it.

great service so far but having trouble with Xfinity box flashing green and orange and no one that I have talked to so far has even fixed the problem! I have spoken to 4 different people and I have also had them hang up on me. don't k ol what to do at this point maybe should call corporate office. doesn't seen like the flashing kites should be that big of a deal. aqa

We are going to cancel our security service with Comcast just because of how God awful this app is. There are CONSTANTLY issues with it not being able to connect, it takes forever to connect with the house when it does work, and worse of all, in the middle of the night when my husband needs to disconnect with the app because I'm sleeping, the app NEVER works. I have been woken up at 3 am multiple times because he had no choice but to set it off because it wouldnt connect. You've lost a customer.

this thing sucks. it was working and has been and then out of nowhere it won't let me arm the system from the app. it wont recognize when I have bypassed a sensor or nothing. just errors out. I have to arm manually. very very frustrating. bout had it with comcast.

Had the system for a few years... when it works with cell phone its great then times out of the blue cant arm or disarm with cell... try to uninstall and then reinstall still does work.. the time before last went in and the people had no clue and that I had to call tech support i did and the guy had no clue except to uninstall and reinstall and i tried that a couple times nothing.. went about 2 weeks then boom it just started working again.... Well this time it's been 4 days so far no sync.....

When I try to arm or disarm my system the app closes out. I had a scare the other day where one of my doors was open when it shouldn't have been. I wanted to check which door through the app but it kept closing out. Luckily it was not an intruder but I did have to go investigate on my own to see what door was open. I hope this is fixed soon. I would like to be able to check things like this out from a safe place.

I've had this app for 3 years. worked great. a few days ago I've started having problems with my notifications. I've uninstalled, reinstalled. deleted rules, everything I was told to do...several times! still isn't working. this is very important for me to have! sucks that all of a sudden it's not working. and yes, I have a new phone...but its several weeks old. this problem just started a few days ago.

The app is never in sync with the actual status of my alarm. If it DOES get past the three-dot loading screen, it doesn't show the actual armed status. I always have to force close and re-open the app to be able see the correct status. Most of the time when the arming or disarming status is in progress after entering pin/scanning fingerprint, it returns to the home overview without actually showing its arming/disarming unless you try to re-arm/disarm. This app didn't always suck, used to work.

all of a sudden I can't connect to my system from my phone. it keeps saying it has trouble logging me in. I've already uninstalled and reinstalled the app, I'm on a Samsung Note 9. I cant even connect from my iPad. I was enjoying the app until the sudden "we're having some trouble logging you in" I can still arm and disarm from the touchscreen and the keypad, but I have lost the convenience of arming from my phone and iPad. please fix this!!!! this is too important to have issues with!!

Inconsistent and slow. We can only guess when it might get better - either at home or abroad. The strangest thing is that sometimes it won't even connect using this app on my phone when I'm connected to my home's Wi-Fi. Just wonky connections.

Wonderful app gives me the option to arm/disarm my home system from my driveway or garage after the house is locked. Don't have the jitters making sure everything is set and then running for the door. Also handy for reviewing activity.

So Far I would rate this app 4 out of 5 stars based on functionality because I have only used it for a month. So far there have been overall no major issues with the app, service or provider. It is very secure and you can keep it safe on your phone with your fingerprint and codes. I like that feature. It is not complicated to figure out functions on the app on your own. Our children have found Xfinity home easy to use also.

Very user friendly for an unsophisticated user like me! I am upgrading my phone to a S10+ soon. Glad the issue has been resolved but feel bad for those that had issues before then. In my experience, Xfinity works as hard as possible to fix quickly - although I know that is all relative.

I am still not able to log in on the app. I have deleted the app and reinstalled it, updated it, updated my phone's operating system.. nothing. The app is the only way I can arm my system to the Away mode and now I can't even do that. On my husband's phone he hasn't been able to log in for months. We are so sick of Xfinity. Can't wait for our contract to expire

[Update: 05/28]: Latest update resolved issues with not being able to login. App works as expected. [Original Post]: Unable to login on a Samsung S10+ as other customers have reported. Tried uninstalling/re-installing multiple times with no success. Works fine on other devices. Even more annoying is that Xfinity dropped support for updating Automation features from their website and require customers to manage this from their app...oops, sorry S10 users. Frustrating.

I too experienced the issues with this app on my S10+. I am now finally able to log in, BUT I do not receive any notifications from my phone as to when the alarm is armed, disarmed, windows open/close, or doors open/close. Why am I not receiving any notifications? I have uninstalled & reinstalled several times already and I am still experiencing the same issue of no notifications. I have to open the app to see what is going on with my alarm and home.

The app does not work at all since I updated to S10. I find the Xfinity My Account app useless for troubleshooting purposes. It won't even let me sign in, just says 'We're having trouble accessing right now'. Useless. I would have given 5 stars on my old phone, makes me sad I can't use it anymore.

The app itself is fine. The internet connectivity and the TV, ARE NOT. We keep getting unconnected to our internet connection. The On Demand features for movies or TV shows works part of the time. It freezes up alot of the time. Very frustrating!

App alerts you of motion activity via the overview screen. Issue is that overview history entry stays stating that a motion sensor had motion activity could be from days ago. If the system is not armed and you dont have a rule set for alerting you of motion activity then in the actuall activity section of the app it wont even create an entry, but it still displays the motion event on the overview screen so it can make you think you are having an alarm.

When it works it is fabulous. Unfortunately it frequently stops working after updates and comcast is slow to restore functionality and NEVER communicates that it is aware or or has fixed bug. You are left with an unreliable security system that you are never quite sure if it is functioning properly. The ads always work, however.

The app has not worked since it updated in February. I only get the overview screen asking to add a device. The app is the only reason I got the service. I will be dropping the security service as soon as my contrat is up.

Awesome, is very amazing app. can't tell you how many times I left my home and forget to turn my alarm om. having this app on my phone give me a sense of security to know that I am in control turning on and off. It's definitely convenient and readily accessible. Xfinity has stepped it up and is on the job 24/7 I recommend this app 100% You have no regrets.

After 3 years of using it I can finally say that the last update was worth it! now the app opens up and connects a lot quicker and loads everything a lot faster, 3 years too late but it's finally here, thank you. next one on the list is to not sign out users every time the app updates. I hate updating the app just for that reason, and I have tried different phones, makes no difference.

Set the home alarm via app. Exit out of the app before it finishes the countdown. The next time I open the app (hours or days later), it will cause the alarm to set again because it still thinks it is counting down. Very annoying. Otherwise I guess the app works ok.

wish it would tie in with Google assistant but other than that the app and Xfinity home all together is great! it's super easy to use and convenient for me since I'm always on the go. Also, shout to tech support for being super helpful and knowledgeable!

It works good when it works. Unfortunatly, I have found with every update brings new problems. Goes offline and can take a long time to reconnect. Also well viewing it will just stop and tells you unable to connect. This got real bad when they changed the way you viewed events.

App stopped working. Used it all the time, but it stopped working a couple days ago. Uninstalled and reinstalled several times. Installed on my husband's phone and does not work either. it will show appropriate status, but can't arm or disarm.

overall its good but I have still had instances that were not caught recorded by the camera. camera disconnects many times. i would recommend getting your own camera system. with a name like xfinity, you would think their product would be top quality but its not.

I just love the extra security that having the security system and the camera gives to me my family. I also love being able to look at both recent and past events that were recorded by the camera as well. My only issue is when rebooting the camera, footage is lost, that bothers me a lot. That is why, and the only reason I couldn't give a 10 star rating. I hope this problem is on the to do list of, things that need improvements and that it will happen in the near future.

I'm new to the smart home world but xfinity has stepped up to bat with a powerhouse here. I'm amazed by all of the abilities of the home services and how they operate seemlessly between the app, the touchscreen, X1 services and IoT. Even my wife is loving the control we have using the app, and it works so awesomely. One of the. Best. Apps. Ever.

I have used for years. It works most of the time, but then it gets stubborn and refuses to connect with the base. That can be frustrating, especially if you are in the house standing next to the console. My solution is to delete and reinstall the app. Then it works, but this is not a good or permanent fix for a vexing problem .

I cannot get the app to work, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app at least 10 times for the past 2 weeks...it still takes me directly to the overview page and won't go any further.... AND when I tried to go to the support page, it gives me an error message. So for the past 2 weeks we have been paying for nothing... this sucks!!!

I have had the system for over a year and now the app won't work to view video. I can live stream on my televisions and the touchscreen but not on the app. I have contacted comcast and they tried to troubleshoot the problem over the phone, was unable to, and then schedule someone to come to our house to fix it but the guy called us and said that there is no need for him to come out to my house because this was an issue with the app. Very disappointed and hope this issue is solved soon!

I'm so damn fed up with this stupid app! I nor my husband can stay logged in more than 3 days before it's logged us out and tells us our password is incorrect. So, we have to create a "new" password everytime. I know for a damn fact the password isn't incorrect because it's the same exact password I use every time I have to make another. Extremely frustrating. im about ready to go with another company. between this stupid app and the touch screen that doesn't work unless plugged in, I'm fed up!

Also having issues with it logging me out and not letting me back on. Says I am logged in but will not let me access alarm or anything. I have force stopped and uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times. VERY frustrating!! When it works it is great.

Live feed DOES NOT WORK. Tried it on several different android phones, an iMac and an iPad. None of these display a live feed. Just get "troubleshooting" screen. This has been a problem from the start. The X1 camera is so slow that by the time it pulls up my visitors are outside waiting for more than a minute so I can see the outside camera. It doesn't pop up on motion either, which would be a tremendously great feature on X1 or mobile. Need a resolution asap please!!

I can take a tour of something that doesn't work though. nice touch. update: literally, update to the update and still no dice. uninstalled and re-installed. still says I'm logged in but wont go past continue page. the irony is, 2 updates ago...it worked just fine. 2/22/19 Still can't login in since app update. tried uninstalling and reinstalling - each time it says I'm already logged as my user name but will not advance. Fail.

Xfinity is good. Application WAS good and convenient. Last week it started to have more glitch. I open- close app a few times to get it work. Or I would put in code and it would say arm for minutes- forever and I have to open- close app again. Yesterday was the worst, I arm with my phone- go on with my day, got home and realized it was never armed. Today I have to uninstall and install again the app

App is great for functionality however for me, it takes a good 15 to 20 seconds to connect to the hub even if I'm on my homes wifi network. one a few days when it is automated to turn on and someone may be home, if it is triggered, rather than using my ohone it is safer to just go downstairs and route in the code because even after the 20 seconds to connect sometimes it just signs me out instead

So this app sucks, it only works about 2 percent of the time. It worked great when the technician was in the house then the very next day the service went straight to [email protected]!, well use your imagination. Everytime I try to use the app it just buffers. Very frustrating as I thought this would be a quick and convenient way to arm and disarm my system. I'm going to try a uninstall/reinstall to see if that helps though I truly have no faith it will. Strongly considering dropping my entire package. Shame!

Love being able to set alarm from my phone in case I forget on the way out. And, REALLY love that I can see exact time (to the second) when a motion sensor has been triggered (aka... door/window opens or closes). The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because I haven't actually had an "emergency" (knock on wood!) & therefore am not familiar with anything that happens after an alarm is triggered.

Live feed in app does not work and has been constant problem for 2 months. Why pay for service that constantly does not work. Very frustrating! update*******2/1/19******months later and still cant view cameras from outside the home. Makes no sense to pay for this service which is down way more than functioning. besides paying a boatload of money for the service I also have to waste hours of my time with customer service personnel who obviously cannot fix the issue.

You know those Comcast television ads showing the actor using this app to quickly check, set, or disable the alarm system? Yeah, well, if only things were that efficient. The app does it job (setting/disabling alarms) but the really irritating part is that when I start the app, I always have to wait anywhere from 5 seconds to 30 seconds while it "locates" my alarm system. It's no where near as efficient as shown on TV. I thought it might be a WiFi vs Mobile Data connectivity issue, but I eliminated those one at time. I thought it might be my Android phone so we tried my wife's iPhone. I thought it might be my Comcast router or my home network, so I talked to several people I know and got the same litany of complaints. In short, this app and its features do not measure up to the television commercials. Then again, the commercials on TV would have me believe that I could be young, viral, and handsome if only I drink a certain brand of beer (any brand, actually)! :)

This is a great app to have if you have Xfinity Home Security. The security cameras record 24/7 so you have every second saved to look at later. In this app you can watch live feed surveillance footage, look back at earlier recordings, & arm/disarm your security system along with multiple other settings/options to choose from.

Totally disappointed. I have paid for Xfinity Home for about 3 years. I have 3 cameras (1 on 24/7 recording). I have lots of sensors and motion sensors. The biggest problem is this damn app. It sucks and takes forever to load. On various occasions the video does not load although I have a great data connection. Customer service sucks as well. I don't feel safe with this app and Xfinity Home. It's not dependable at all. Also when you link stuff like garage door or thermostats it sucks.

app worked fine until November update. it stopped letting me login. multiple calls to support with escalation to higher levels. eventually resolved after many hours. turns out the November update made the app no longer work with MS Edge browser. Now only Chrome. they did get me back working but I must have Chrome as default browser - very disappointing.

I'm updating my review from 3 months ago. The app worked much better then. Now, it takes a while to load and doesn't always connect to the camera. I then have to force close the app and reopen it to get it to connect. The same occurs if I want to use the app to arm or disarm the system. I have to wait for the app to work. When the features work, it's great. However, lately it hasn't been great!

The app used to be fine, but now if I don't open it every day it "forgets" that I'm signed in and makes me sign into the xfinity account, then use my fingerprint in addition... It just seems super slow and ineffective to double sign in. Otherwise everything works fine after you log in.

Even while connected to my WiFi this app's speed is atrocious. Once it loads up, it's often hit or miss if my alarm will disable, or enable. Multiple times, the app displayed my alarm as unarmed while it was armed, or vice versa. Just recently I spent 15 minutes waiting on the app to set the alarm. It would just hang on arming, but never actually set. This was while I was connected to my local network. This app needs a ton of help. It is the furthest away from a convenience that an app can be. I have had some great experiences with this app, but for over a month now I have been unable to access anything on it. After opening it, I cannot get past a screen with the option to sign in or take a tour. Even after going to the sign in screen and putting in my information, it does nothing. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app to no avail. From what I have seen, I am not the only person with this issue and there has been at least one update since this problem started.

Not a bad app, but what the heck Xfinity, when it senses an open sensor (door, window) when armed, it should set off an optional audio alert on your phone. I don't keep this app displayed in front of me 24/7, it's usually in my pocket or on the night stand. Wake me or alarm me before the Security Center gives me a call to verify it's me and if I know my PIN off the top of my head.

Have had it for a while with very little problems, but the last few days neither my wife (iphone x) nor myself (galaxy note 8) have been able to set the alarm with our phones. Have to set it on the keypad or touchscreen. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling and that didn't help. Please fix.

This app is absolute garbage. It keeps shutting down before it even opens fully and customer sevice from Comcast/Xfinity is absolutely useless, just to make things even more frustrating. I cannot even begin to tell you how many times and hours I've had to spend getting the morons at Comcast to fix their problems. I gave up on them as an internet provider but unfortunately needed the Home security to moniter my elderly father, which has proven to be nothing but a waste of time and energy.

Can't connect to live camera feed. Can arm/disarm just fine. Can playback recorded video. App won't work with live feed. I have rebooted the camera, rebooted my modem and unistalled and reinstalled the app and it doesn't fix the issue. I love the computer pad on our counter! That came with our Xfinity set up complimentary! I look at it daily ti see the temp, time and in the evenings ti see if all the door and entrances are shut! It's a must if you have packages delivered often. Look at your phone to see if they're there! Unlock or lock!. Anyway, it's for on the go people that want worry free security. .thank you Xfinity ! Good app and system, it controls interior lights, HVAC, wifi enabled garage door opener, security cameras and access. Wished it worked with Arlo wireless which is another security system I have installed or at least have similar features and functions. But I'm pleased with it so far.

The app Freeze's at all the wrong times. In the past two weeks I've have to manually turn off my alarm, but this is the thing, I'm not sure if it's the app or wifi that is causing the miss connections. With that said, no matter what, the alarm works either way so you are still safe!

App worked great till about a year ago, it suddenly became very slow to receive alarm in progress alerts. Last night, 10/31/2018, came home and house was set to night when I came in. Alarm is instant. I didn't get the alert thru the app till about 20 minutes later. But even with that, I still love it and use it all the time.

This WAS a great app. But since the last update, I can no longer get past the Sign In page. When I press the <Continue> button, it hangs. It's no longer functional. I have to force close the app! My phone is the Samsung Note 9. This is very disappointing. I used it all the time...until now. UPDATE: I just reinstalled the app for the third time. I now have version 9.36.8. It started working again.

Seems to work about 50% of the time. Now that it updated the other day i don't get notifications of doors or windows or when its armed and thats on android and iphone. Seemed like a good app but its inconsistent it'll work for a good while then something changes and breaks something won't sync with my lights or anything. Don't carr about the other devices just want notifications fixed.

Horrible my live recording doesn't work always have to uninstall and install on my phone hate that because that was the number one reason I got it was to be able to see when I'm away from home. This app is garbage. It has not worked on my android phone for two months. It will not show live feed. I have uninstalled and reinstalled many times. I have contacted Xfinity and received no resolution. I see when you give a negative review they ask you to post to the forum. Why couldn't you assist when I called?? Instead I was transferred to several different departments none of which helped or resolved the problem. One representative said they knew of the problem and was working on it this was 2 months ago what kind of techs are employed that can't figure this out??
