Buggy. No audio after changing app or pause/ play. Sometimes one earbud doesn't work, sometime it's offsync. Uninstall fixes most issues, but you loose the features.

Never connects. Super glitchy. Connects randomly after a few minutes. I can't spend this long to ask an app to use my headphones. Also the app keeps telling me to download the app that I am currently on. Also won't let me choose google assistant for anything other than hold and press. Now I have to forfeit a volume button to use my assistant. Overall not happy with this app and product.

Jaybirds when using this app friggin stink. Literally drops in and out mutes and pauses and whim/switching from say youtube to Facebook will disconnect the buds and they don't come back even if you pair re pair you basically need to turn off the Bluetooth switch sound management for the jaybirds re turn on Bluetooth and repair. Absolute trash of an app I've downloaded and Uninstalled multiple times hoping each time they have it fixed but they aint care to. Uninstall app and use jaybirds without

Had to uninstall the app. Most frustrating experience ever just trying to play music on Android 12 (S21) all you get is silence.......been like this for months now. Uninstall the app and music/audio plays fine.

These started off nice for about 6 months, no updates now the disconnect only charge to 50%. I think I would not recommend these any longer. The old saying get what you pay for.

The earbuds themselves are perfect, but even after a year, and needing to get a new pair 2 months ago, the app has not fixed its connectivity issue even with all the feedback. Do not even try with this company. If they won't even listen to the most important problem we're conveying to them, they don't deserve my money. Great earbuds, but please work on interacting with us and letting us know you are atleast working on this problem.

Time to move to another brand of headphones. When I talked to them a few months ago about the connection problems"oh we are working hard to fix the problem" that was in March. Google fix the Bluetooth problem faster then them Oh just email them from support and got a rejection email and redirect me to the website for FAQ. I don't think the company exists anymore

Got Vista 2s today. The app itself has a bunch of nice features but the amount of sound conflicts and needing to close apps to listen to another app (going from Spotify to Youtube, for example) is a massive *avoid this product issue*. Can conflict with other apps, calls, day to day stuff. In need of a major fix and test cycle.

Terrible quality. The right earbud of my Jaybird Vistas stopped working within 6 months of purchase. I did all the troubleshooting online with no success. I've tried forcing an update through the app and it fails midway through the update. And I can't get a replacement because I contacted Jaybird *less than 2 weeks past* one year of purchase. Waste of money.

Really poor button controls. I am able to choose among great media playback controls and to activate Google Assistant, but the button press options are severely limited. Or rather, the options are only available for certain button press types. E.g. long press can have either power on/off or volume control. But volume control is not available for, say, single press or double press. Why not? Next/prev song is only available for double press. The other option is again, Google Assistant. Awful.

it seems that since the latest update, the auto pause function no longer works and it also turns itself off each time after the buds are not being used.

App prevents buds from resuming playback after pausing or switching media apps. If I paused a song for a bit, or switched from a call back to music playback, there was no audio from the buds despite them showing as connected on Bluetooth and having control of play/pause. The fix was to disconnect and reconnect Bluetooth every time I wanted to resume. Uninstalled the app and the buds worked fine.

I love the jaybird 2s at a hardware level. The connectivity issues this app has though is unacceptable, and infuriating. Pausing media, or switching from one app to another causes your earbuds to basically mute themselves. You have to pause what you're listen to, change your sound management option (ANC, surround sense) and then resume what you're trying to listen to. I'm not the only one, and I don't understand how this absolutely massive QC issue hasn't been squashed

also having problems using vista 2 . had the previous gen vista and they work amazing . vista 2 is only problems , no audio if i switch between apps have to reconnect my vistas 2 . or pause my music, movies same . they will disconnect for no reason. i miss my old pair

Vista 2 owner. When switching apps audio cuts out completely have to disconnect the Bluetooth from the headphones to get it working again. Update your damn firmware already it's been months

Im enjoying the vista 2s but is it cool if we could get a volume control button on the app? Cause sometimes I just wear my left and leave my case in the car when I'm walking around and when I wanna turn of the earbud I just end up turning it all the way down and I can't turn it back up unless I have my right earbud with me.

Connectivity issues galore. Drops one side frequently, drops total connection frequently, won't reconnect even after putting in case turning off Bluetooth and back on. Huge hassle if you're athletic to have it cut out all the time, ruins the whole flow of your workout or ride. Stopping to fumble with your $120 bricks that never stay connected. Not good

Fix these terrible headphones! I'm fed up of having to constantly switch my Bluetooth off and on the get the sound back. Still having the same fault since they released is ridiculous! When Switching between apps the sound shouldn't be going off

This app makes the vista 2 unusable. The sound continues to cut out despite the Bluetooth connection remaining stable. Once I deleted the app, the issues went away and my vista 2 earbuds work great! Awesome product, awful app.

This app and lack of software updates on Vista 2 is inexcusable. They simply do not work as Bluetooth earbuds, they lose sound/connection constantly and you need to keep pairing and unpairing it over and over again. This is a dead company they have given up on their products. No firmware update for over 5 months after the problems.

It seems they updated the app, so far it is working well with the newest version of Android. For a while it had a lot of issues caused by the app. I hope the app updates continue to fix any issues

Just bought and getting ready to return. I really wanted to like these earbuds. Even though I just picked these up today, I'm already having connection issues. If I had known the app was this messed up I would've waited or bought a different pair.

The app is inadequate for Vista 2. While there is an option in the app to disable autopause, the buds continue to autopause-autoresume when removed and replaced into the ear even when the option is disabled. Worse, it will launch Spotify and other apps that weren't even playing music. Very frustrating user experience.

At first I loved them. Vista 2 was my ticket back into jaybird since I finally, after years of abuse my old ones died, and never bought new ones. I finally got the new Vista 2 and loved everything about them. Sound, ability to stay in my ear even when jump roping or any extreme workout where other buds would fall out. But after a while the sound wouldn't come through. I'd have to unpair and pair again. Eventually that didn't work. Then I contacted jaybird. No refund or update. Pissed off now.

I have had these for a few months and now my phone will detect the earbuds but can't communicate with them at all. Several resets and app reinstall have not fixed the issue. Using a Google Pixel 6.

App causes way too many issues, like others have stated its a task in itself just to get these to work when using the app but that was part of the selling point to me so it's very disappointing, I've uninstalled the app now and just use the headphones without it as they are much easier to get working that way.

I have the Vista 2 and have loved them until recently. Best buds I've ever owned until now. They are practically useless these days. Plagued by connectivity issues and inconsistent play back. Sometimes takes 10 to 15 minutes to resolve the lack of audio. Random disconnects during use makes fitness use full of distraction. Miserable user experience. I'm close to abandoning the product and company at this point which is very frustrating. Why is there no priority to fix this known issue?!?!

Using pixel 6 pro no audio plays unless I disconnect and reconnect the headphones. Audio is lost when switching between apps and a new reconnect is required to hear audio.

This is the worst garbage I have encountered in a while. When installed, my Vista 2s fail to play audio all the time. This bug has been around for 6+ months, is well documented online and still has no fix... Also the app has a bunch of little usability issues like that fact that I can't force my headphones to not use ANC or Awareness mode (both are so bad they are unusable) or the fact that I can't turn off awareness mode during calls. After 3 sets of Jaybirds, this pair will be my last.

Almost every time I pause audio or change between apps that are playing sound, the earbuds stop playing anything. I have to toggle some setting in the app to seemingly "wake" the earbuds up and then it will play again. Very frustrating to be unable to pause music without having to keep opening the jaybird app, change some setting, then switch back to another app to resume.

Do not install this app. The headphones work great without it but as soon as you install the app you will start doing issues with no audio. Really sad that they made the product so reliant on an app that doesn't work. I'm totally up to date on the firmware and on the Android phone. Samsung S10 user

No sound comes out of the buds. For awhile I could unpair and repair them with my Pixel 6 Pro to fix it but now that doesn't help. Neither does deleting and reinstalling the app doesn't help. Checked phone settings, volume is up, not on mute, and it claims to be paired. I hear the connected/ disconnected prompts just no audio from paired phone/music app. Please fix this and send out an update. PS. The Jaybird Support Bot on their website is buggy and won't let you submit for assistance.

Why does this app need location permission? Why can't these headphones just connect via bluetooth. If location services are required for higher services, instead of just for data collection, then make that optional

App is great. But constantly disconnects when switching through apps. Android.... NEEDS UPDATE 3 months later and still disconnects switch between apps. Very disappointing loved jaybird. Only way to fix is uninstall the app. So. It's a problem on the apps end.

I've had my Vista 2s for about 8 months now. Started great, but it's gone down hill quickly. They're rather difficult to switch between devices, they're very temperamental about being connected to a different device. They can't be reset without the case, which isn't great on a distance run when they lose connection. 1 MAY the sound quality went to complete garbage. I've done full factory resets and repaired with 3 different devices, no luck. I'm going back to my Bose earbuds.

I got the Vista 2 ear buds because I've read good reviews. However, after installing this app, the ear buds will not connect to different audio apps, i.e. music players and audiobooks. I have to disconnect and reconnect in ordered for the buds to work. There was a firmware update, however it does not finish updating and freezes. The ear buds seems to work fine without the app. I would love to give this app a higher rating if it's fixed. I want use the EQ, ANC, and other features.

Bought, because I wanted earbuds that had noise cancelling ability... to tume out the, " just driving down the road" wind sound that all earbuds seem to pick up on. To be fair... these are Alot Better.. altho.. Still has a good bit of background white noise that still comes through..... so better.... just NOT Great Reading the label, I was Expecting Great... which supported Paying double.... Doesn't work with Vista 2. Cannot switch between apps, sound disappears. Originally reset earbuds to see if it helps. But the issue is with the app. Buds working as expected after uninstalling this app. Hugely disappointed as cannot use personal equalizer anymore, and the Vista 2 just doesn't sound good at the flat eq.

Wont connect to Galaxy Tab A8. Tab sees my Tarah headset. Can't connect with out using the app. Only the app won't connect. It tells to use the "phone" to connect. Worked fine with my old LG tablet. (The app location feature can find my headset. Too bad it won't connect)

I have the Vista 2 earbuds, and to be honest, I had a pair of $100 earbuds from SoundCore by Anker, and they were 10x the audio quality, with far less issues. If you have an Android, DO NOT BUY!!! These headphones stay connected, but you lose all sound and have to put them back in the case, or go into your settings and manually disconnect and reconnect them to get the sound back, and it isn't guaranteed to work every time. Waste of money, been 8 months and still no Firmware update for Android

Still not compatible with latest Android version. After updating android recently, Jaybird Vista 2 frequently becomes silent w/o disconnecting (buttons work, no audio). It stays silent unless you reconnect. Updating and troubleshooting/reconnecting/reinstalling didn't help, it comes back again soon after. If you pause from the phone it also loses audio. The Only thing that helped, was removing this app. It's been like this for months. Guess I have to send them in for RMA.

Update... Apparently latest Android makes audio drop between apps. The headphones have no sound until you toggle Bluetooth audio settings. Can't believe this isn't fixed yet. Avoid.

Needs to be updated. If your sound is cutting out when switching between apps, it's not you or the earbuds, but this app. The app is stellar overall, but otherwise the glitch ruins the ux.

The earbuds are ok the app is awful. I have used the buds for a year now. The right side bud stopped working 2 months back. I got this as birthday gift from my son and am stuck. A $20 category headset does the same job. I can throw it in a year. What's the point of spending 100 to 200 dollar then.

Complete garbage. With a full charge, updated firmware and with all hardware within two feet of each other, you'll randomly lose audio often enough to wish you bought a wired pair of buds from a gas station. Want more than an hour of uninterrupted audio? Look elsewhere, you won't find it here. Switching to three other apps at random seems to help, dunno why, but you'll still have to do it hourly, more if you take an earbud out. That's an instakill for some reason. Don't waste your time.

When it is downloaded, I can't switch between audio apps without having to disconnect Bluetooth and reconnect. Not worth downloading, visa2 headphones work fine without it. Also, why does the app need location services to use Bluetooth?!? Unnecessary tracking makes me wish I didn't purchase your headphones.

I like the original ear buds. These have improved the microphone. But still has problems accepting different apps (youtube music) it will play the music but I have to manually switch the connection off then back on then works fine. Small inconvenience

App doesn't work with android phones. It forces the vista 2 buds to lose connection constantly. You can choose to utilize the buds without the app but honestly, the ability to customize the eq is part of the selling feature.

Jaybird I am only leaving this review for the vista 2s. You have to change your code for active pause. It consistently picks up when an earbud is taken out, but struggles to resume when earbuds are in. If I put an earbud back in, and music doesn't begin to play, and I manually press play, the code needs to override the pause setting and play to the buds. As of now, if I put buds in and press play the music/video will continue on my device without audio. It's super frustrating.

I really like the app does a great job of letting me access so many different options on my headphones. When I first got them I thought they were ok and then discovered this app and now I'm loving my jaybirds. Being able to locate my headphones if I drop them is a huge plus also having the flexibility to adjust my eq settings depending on what I'm listening to has made it amazing. Definitely recommend this app and they're products.

Comfortable once you find the right combination of the rubber inserts/ Drum cones. There nearly INDESTRUCTIBLE, even in wet/ humid environments. Very easy interface and learn all the features such as real-time headphone location and Customized or Preset EQ levels! Definitely a great purchase for the relatively LOW price!

They work great but the volume of the voice and tone prompts in these is SO loud. It's really annoying and it's not great to be blasted about your battery being 40% while you're listening to a sleep cast, which is what I mainly use these for. I wish the app could adjust the volume of these prompts.

If you've come to the reviews because you're losing audio, it's not your phone. It's this app. Switching between apps causes audio loss and it doesn't come back until you disconnect and reconnect. Annoyingly, on the Vista 2's the headphones default to allow audio in through the mic built in if you uninstall. What a shame. Amazing headphones hindered by terrible software. If I had known, I wouldn't have upgraded to the Vista 2's

Updated the review. The app constantly loses my settings and reverts to off instead of anc. I have to connect and disconnect constantly to get sound out of the headphones. The app basically has ruined a $150 pair of headphones.

Horrible. The auto pause will not disable. Having this app installed also completely messes up the audio output and you have to continuously reselect the jaybirds for audio even when they are connected.

Headphones constantly stop working every time you change applications or pause the audio. The custom equalizer preset feature is also very buggy. The only way to reliably get the headphones to work right is to delete this app.

The Vista 2 works better without this app. Anytime my music is paused (taking an earbud out, or another app forcing priority for sounds, or even manually pausing) my earbuds are incapable of outputting music again without reconnecting the earbuds on bluetooth. I don't have any issues without this app. I've returned my first pair of Vista 2 thinking it was faulty, but it turns out the problem is the app.

The app has lots of bugs, not recognising or connecting to the headphones and/or case, giving out wrong case charge data, headphones themselves not connecting to tye phone, case not connecting to app And when it connects features sometimes work and sometimes don't The GPS for finding earbuds is horrible standing in the same place it jumps to 10s of meters ahead (for example turning around 90 degrees changes location from 3m away to 30m away even when earphones are in the same location

I have tried several buds and headphones. This is the very first time I have had no complaints. I perspire immensely when training and on the treadmill I was directly in front of the gym speaker at head height and only heard my music. The Jaybird buds never shifted with over 1 hour of sweating. Love these!

I love my jaybirds. The sound quality, fit, durability, and battery life are all great. The only thing I wish was better is the 'find my jaybirds' function. I usually only use one bud at a time and want to be able to find each bud and the case independently at any time. It doesn't make sense to only be able to find the buds when they're connected and on.

Constantly Losing Audio. Since the latest update, everytime I use the earbuds, the audio disappears. No crash notification or error messages. The only way to get audio back is to cycle connection to phone or put them back in case.

App controls buds fine but no sound is heard out of the buds when trying to play music. The workaround is to force quite or uninstale the app and they play fine just can't use the app or it cuts the sound.

You never lose your wireless headphones because you have this app. I have multiple pairs and it knows all of them individually by profile name perfect for a heavy user like me. The audio quality is great with a deep bass and perfect for 10,000 Zoom calls a day.

Edit: App messed up, it doesnt even allow me to redo the personal EQ, even though the option is there. I press it and it just exits the redo/edit screen instead of taking you to a screen where you can redo your EQ. The only redeaming feature and its broken..... The equalizer is a bit standard when it comes to the options, however, the custom EQ option is definitely a saving grace. Especially with my tinnitus and minor hearing loss.

I love these earbuds and always recommend them. I have only one issue and it's being able to redo my personalised EQ. I was able to make one when I first got them and I wanted to redo it and for whatever reason when I click on the redo option nothing happens. Would appreciate some sort of explanation/help for a resolve. Other than that, really solid and rugged earbuds.

Spoke too soon. Very unstable performance when the app is running (only way to get the equalizer to work). Often no audio output after pairing when the app auto launches. If I take an earbud out I often have to power cycle to get audio output again. Never happened before Android 12 & feedback provided via email as previously requested.

App is really good! User friendly, also convenient to change things and make adjustments. The Jaybird Vista 2s on the other hand could use an update to firmware they are still buggy on the Android platform. Having to constantly disconnect and reconnect inorder to get them working again.

Its not so much the app impresses me it's more that these are not only the easiest to use they also are the highest quality headphones I've ever owned and I've owned a lot, durability is good connectivity is amazing and the sound quality is unmatched.

The best part of this app is uninstalling it. I have the original jaybirds and bought the Vista 2 recently. They worked flawlessly until I upgraded to Android 11. Jaybird needs to fix this asap. Music is unlistenable. If I pause and then try to resume there is no sound.

Android 12 issues. Had issues on two separate devices, a Samsung S21 and a Pixel 6. Both phones and headphones up to date. Audio stops when switching apps, doesn't work on calls, sometimes stops even when just pausing. Probably going to return the headphones.

So far so good... I just bought the Vista 2 ear buds yesterday and they are super comfy and stay very secure in your ears. The app that controls them is ok...not great. I wish their were more options on how to control/change the single tap, double tap, long press...etc. I will update the review after I have them for a few months. I was going to write this review after using it for a few months, but Jaybird put the review request right on my Apps homepage.

These ear buds have good quality and you can hear your music very well. They also don't run out of battery that quickly. These ear buds are so amazing. This is also because it tells you that is connected or not connected on the app or on the ear buds so this is why I think these ear buds are amazing.

I love the app, but makes my earbuds to suddenly mute themselves. The video and everything is still playing in the phone, but no sound in my Jaybird until I take them back to the case. This only happens when the I have the app installed, so it is definitely this. I also created a support case, and they confirmed this. Without the app, with Bluetooth only, the earbuds work perfectly fine.

User friendly. I just wish that there was more control over each earbud individually. I feel that way about all the earbuds I have owned tho so I'm it's not a jab at Jaybirds personally. It always seems that one earbud or the other is slightly louder than the other. They sound great. Super easy to sync. Comfortable and def stay nice and snug in my ears which makes me happy. I hate when I'm working or something and I feel a bud starting to slip out and I'm trying to time the catch just right...👍

Jaybird Vista 2 - Sound Issue when switching Apps, Turns off sound when going back and forth through apps on Samsung Note 20 Ultra 5G after pausing music. I have to force disable the app and clear cache or either uninstall the app entirely to get audio on YouTube, Poweramp, Messenger, Instagram, etc to work. Garbage. I use the app to choose diff eq presets and the notification displaying battery levels is useful. With this broken issue for Vista 2, it ruins user experience. 4.0.10 doesn't work

ive been a fan of Jaybird for years has great products the app eq customization is great but the latest update i have to keep closing the app and opening the app to get the sound to work on my vista 2 and if i pause the music or switch media applications i have to close the Jaybird app and open it up again

Android version 12 and this app are terrible. I tried toggling ANC to get audio to play like another user mentioned. It only works for about a second, and then the audio stops. Also, I have the same issue with tracking the buds and it throwing an error about the case. I did find out that they work for phone calls, and after the call ended, my music audio started working.

App still not optimized for Android 12. With this app installed I get no audio with my Vista 2 buds. As soon as I uninstall the app the audio works perfectly on the buds. Thankfully the buds remember my presets without the terrible software installed. Support is terrible. Emailed them in October and never heard back. Not sure I'll buy another Jaybird product. Support is embarrassingly bad.

Good for phone. Excellent for time, quality and sound. Best feature, adjustable to each ears ability to hear on many frequencies. You hear every tone. I consider my expectations to be hard to reach. I've had them 6 months. Now 2 years. Had some lack of noise cancelling while on phone calls. I think it might be because the noise was there when I powered them up. Still high opinion of them though.

The reviews are right, it's bug ridden. The app constantly tries to make you log in and register, refusing to save your sound settings otherwise. The "update" to fix a hardware bug, is bugged. The case sometimes just does not show up as connected and the buds sometimes just don't play sound untill you refresh the app. If you don't use the app and just use them as normal Bluetooth buds, they are perfect. It's actually sad, such an amazing product. Software should be the least problematic.

Bugs in the app detract from the great hardware. The Jaybird Vista 2 have all sorts of issues that seem to be related to the app and how it interacts with the buds. The battery in the case drains while idle, due to a bug in the "find my buds" feature (which Jaybird promised a fix for, and has not delivered). On Android 12 the buds will not start working until you change the ANC mode. They'll say they're connected, but the controls don't work and they won't play audio until you switch ANC on or off. The software bugs have made my every day carry buds infuriating to use.

Trying my hardest to catch this possible glitch with my screen recorder but basically when my music starts playing with auto bluetooth playback with amazon music it fades in as it does most times (but sometimes not) it makes the background noise of an old school record being played but it stops once music reaches the end of fade in. (Oneplus 7 Pro)

Great headphones accept when they unpair... The app works great on my Android phone, I love the options, eq and the sound quality is sufficient for a water proof/dust proof wwll designed device and stay in my ears. There should be a way to reset the head phones without having to place them in the case. Whene the pairing fails there is no way to resync withought the case. If you could fix these issues I would have rated them a 5 .

The app is very user friendly and yet still has so many versatile functions to it. I've had plenty of other Bluetooth devices and their respective apps but Jaybird really seems to be the best of what I've tried thus far! And I now have no intention of getting anything different! The Vista 2 r so comfortable and the sound is incredible! Must have for any tv, movie, or music lover!

The app is ok. Can't change the language. 'Update' button doesn't work. Re headphones: 1) as a lot of other people have said, the wind notice is noticeable. Even when tinkering with the various settings in the App; 2) the case is too smooth. I regularly drop the case, as there is just nothing to hold on to. Likewise, there is nothing to leverage on the case, i.e. no texture or indentation to grip. My wife, who has very bad arthritis in her fingers just couldn't grip or get into the box.

Generally a good app. Love my headset. The sound is great. As another reviewer pointed out tho, only one bud sometimes connects. I have to put the one bud that doesn't connect, back in the case and take it out again, for it to connect. Usually have to wait a couple of seconds, before I take it out of the case to make it connect. It happens on my S21 Ultra and on my former phone, an ASUS ROG Phone. Can you please fix this issue? Thanks.

This app has bugs galore. Deleting presets you created doesn't work. Editing and trying to set a preset that's already selected doesn't work. Trying to "redo" the personalized EQ doesn't work as long as it's marked as a favourite. At one point I tried removing a custom preset from favourites while in list view and I stopped being able to switch between presets. Only deleting all data and logging back in fixed this issue. These are just a few of the many bugs I ran into...

Doesn't work on Pixel 6. Can't change any settings for the headphones, and app crashes repeatedly when trying to go to the ANC settings and randomly when navigating the app. Seems to be stuck in a loop checking for firmware updates. The Vista 2s are great mechanically, but the software is almost bad enough to return the headphones.

Very buggy, app connected tarah to app. It advised I needed firmware update. It was literally impossible to finish the upgrade. It always failed at 27% and then then next attempt would not get pass 0%. I reinstalled the app, unpaired earphones etc. All basic troubleshooting could not work to update firmware. Uninstalled the app as it is useless.

Wish there was an area in the app to reconnect your ear buds instead of having to put them in the case and take them out. Sometimes I go walking and talk to people and they turn off after a while. I don't always have the case with me. Also, sometimes only one ear bud connects.

It outright crashes everything at the same time upon connecting the buds to it. Drive, Photos, Contacts, Smart Settings, Calendar, Clock, and etc. All of it crashes at the same exact time, and it'll keep crashing everything as well. Already hard reset into factory reset my buds so they're not the problem especially since the app used to work just fine till a few weeks ago. Now it just crashes everything constantly: "Unfortunately, 'x' has stopped working."

DO NOT create a Jaybird profile or it will screw up the app's functionality. It causes your EQ to change every time you close out the app. Why? I have no idea. Also, you can't search for any EQs at all. Whenever you touch the search icon, the app crashes.

Me and my Boyfriend got both the new Jaybird Vista 2 and we love them how they sound and how good they sit in your ears when you turn your head upside down or shake they don' fall out unlike other more expensive buds that never sat good in the ear and a bit of a shake and they came loose. Buttt... the App! .. its got awsome features but it keeps crashing ALOT, sometimes it works fine, then sometimes it doesn't show battery percentage, sound management vanishes, equaliser stops registrering.

First off I love the ear buds. They sound amazing and they fit really good in my ears. Now the app on the other hand is horrible. It won't let me do anything. Iv been trying for 3 days to change settings and other stuff but everytime I click on something the app crashes. It sux bc these are my 4th pair of earbuds trying to find some that will stay in my ears but I guess ill be taking these back and trying out the new jabra's

Sound Quality: 7.5 to 8.5 / 10 (equalization presets allow you to hunt for more fitting sound profiles to match a particular song's mixing & mastering. Pretty sweet. Fit: 7 / 10 (ultimately none of the 3 sizes fit my ears right. The smallest buds stay in the longest but on my daily coty walmz I'm still frequently pushing them back into my ear canal to re-obtain a secure fit and proper sound quality and volume. On a hot sweaty day...ugh, gets annoying! Sometimes I jus give up and pocket them

Only useful for installing firmware updates. Requires FAR too many permissions. Only includes two useful settings (voice vs. tone when you turn the headphones on, and auto-off duration), the latter of which crashes the app if you attempt to change it. Download, update firmware, then revoke permissions and delete. Jaybird: they're a pair of (very nice and useful!) headphones. You don't need to see my contacts or location if I'm not using those features.

So I have had my Jaybird x2 for several years now and never had any issues. Its simply an amazing product, so thank you for this ! The only big downside of these headphones is that they don't turn off when not in use to save battery. So I end up charging them everyday even when I barely used them. Does anyone know if there is something I can do about this (perhaps an update) or do I just need to upgrade. I don't want to upgeade because I finally have a product that works well for a long time.

After the update, I've been experiencing issues with my Jaybird X3. The app is constantly searching for firmware updates in the background and when it does that, whatever I'm listening to gets softer. The app user interface is not good at all. I'm going to uninstall this app. Will not buy another Jaybird product in the future.

The sound equalizer is very intuitive (When it works) and sounds great (when it works). That's the problem, after a recent update the EQ won't stay on the buds and I have to fiddle with the app. Besides that annoyance, my buds were locked at an extremely low volume when I woke up this morning and the only thing that fixed them was factory resetting them and reinstalling the App, losing my presets (App was at fault). Great Buds but this software is bad. It was working fine earlier this year...

I have been super happy with my jaybirds (my 2nd pair) and especially the app. However, SINCE THE UPDATE the interface looks and feels awful, not user friendly and feels cheap. Please fix this or take it back to the old look and feel. Was very happy with the preset layout especially. And it keeps checking for firmware updates - like every 10 minutes... It's super annoying!!!!!!!

Removing the widget is an immediate 1 star. I shouldn't need to open the app for a simple switch of the the EQ settings. There's no reason for this beyond the devs decided not enough people use them and didn't feel like maintaining it anymore. In other words, they're either lazy or more likely unpaid and understaffed. Also the new set up requires me to to scroll sideways to pick an EQ when previously all of them were visible on the same screen. This is a really bad design.

why did you make an update that is 10x more difficult than before? this update has more steps to take, NEVER had to turn on location before, even after I go through the 10 steps to actually connect my buds, I still can't hear anything through them, have to turn them on and off manually, THEN I can hear! Riddiculous!! never had these problems with the old app. very disappointing. also I'm asked to "pair" my buds again each time I open the app, only had to do that once with the old app.

Will no longer connect to my Vista buds via the app. Since you can only update the firmware & change the button settings via the app, it makes these things useless now. I'm able to connect fine to my laptop, my phone, & a BT transmitter I have hooked up to my TV, but not through the app. I have 2 sets of Vistas because I like them so much but now it looks like I'll be returning both of them. I went through all the troubleshooting & tried a different phone on both sets of buds... No go. FAIL!!!!

Love my headphones and their sound, love this app too in its limitlessness. Only one problem, I lost my birds 🐦😢 and they're free, out of their case! (I think somewhere in the house) Well this got me thinking, could you create a remote activation switch so you can turn them on by Bluetooth and locate them with new GPS signal? The "Find my buds" feature doesn't work I presume cos they're out of the case and the last known location was over 2 months ago, so.. I'll keep searching 😋 cheers!

This set has been sitting in my drawer for three or four years, having misplaced the charger. Support was outstanding, making certain the unit still work perfectly, and would have handled an issue if the battery wasn't holding a charge. Considering the fact of how old these are and out of warranty, I believe this company provides probably the best support I've ever had with any product. It sounds incredible even though an obsolete model the application works perfectly the EQ is wonderful.

The app seemed to cause issues with my headphones "auto" connecting to my android phone. If the app was open, headphones would connect. If the app was closed or put to sleep, headphones wouldn't connect. That means I have to always open the Jaybird app before using my headphones. No thanks, I'll just uninstall it and no more issues at all. I'll periodically download it again to push firmware updates if needed.

I have Jaybird Vista for about 3 months now and they sound just amazing. The fact that you can customise them for your exact hearing and tastes makes it best experience i've had! I didn't have top notch and high end earbuds to say have experience in them but i can just say these are the best for me and turning to the app, it works great, no problem with it, no bug or crash, no glitch or error whatsoever. Setting up a new device is easy even for a beginner! Thank you Jaybird!!

Jaybird headphones are really worth the money. I would have wrote a 5 star review on the app, but 1 thing that I think needs improvement is the Find My Buds feature. It is really helpful that this feature provides the location of the buds, but if buds are lost in one vacinity of a place, it is very hard to track because there is no feature to play music through it to search with hearing. Hopefully this gets added into the future. That would be very beneficial to many individuals.

Enjoy the earbuds and the app. I wish the app could turn them on and off remotely. Besides that, it's all good. Second set of earbuds. Much better than the previous. The jaybird app simplified everything, so it went from 4 stars to 5 stars. It's decided. I'm sticking with Jaybird earbuds from now on.

Just a glorified equalizer. Add a way to disable last number redial from the headset button in the app. It is way too easy to do accidentally. I (and many others) just want it OFF. Should have had that option long ago. I am tired of waiting. One star to get your attention. Will rerate if the app ever improves.

Was a little hesitant with the reviews that I read about other models from the Jaybird brand, but without a doubt the Vista model is amazing. Definitely surpassed my expectations. And the app does a really good job offering options on how to listen to your music. The only thing that I found strange is the Vistas don't have a pass-through or an ambience mode. But other than that, if you download this app, the Vistas work great with the app

They are ok. Connection issues are too many and too often. Even using this app, far too often the earbuds can't reconnect. Or shows no device found. Upsetting considering the cost. Hassle to reconnect and if I ever lose that connection. Good luck actually being able to get it back. Save money and get galaxy buds for $100 instead

Can be use without location on. That awesome! Never thought to have to right a review because other company force user to sell their location to even use the app. Jaybird do listen and if you don't want location, the app will work. Been using it for at least 3 year and haven't got any major issues. Thank you Jaybird for not forcing location. It's really appreciate. Sometime I might get a bug or two (-1 star) and it seem that the only way is to reboot my device.

The app won't recognize my Jaybird Runs. I've tried having my phone forget my headphones, I've even tried uninstalling and installing the app again. Nothing works. The headphones still work, but I can't use the app with them! It is very annoying! It used to work the day before last (as of writing this review) and now it doesn't!

The sound quality is very good, but the earbuds constantly need to be paired over and over. Why does the app keep asking for location information to connect the earbuds? There is no reason for this. Also the charging cable is way too short. I expect more for the $180 that I paid for these. There is also no support at all. Still having to reset and re pair the earbuds over and over and over and over again and again. Now the right earbud doesn't work at all anymore.

I bought jaybird vista and the moment I opened it was working totally fine but when I installed the app and there was an update and I did that but after that my earbuds were not connecting with my phone, even I fully charged them, and I reboot the settings as well as they mentioned in instructions, I've tried every possible things but nothing is working. Very disappointed with jaybird.

Headsets keep disconnecting themselves. Had to keep turning them on in order to re-pair with the phone. Also, the laptop cannot find them among "Bluetooth" items, which was easy when I had my Sony headset that unfortunately were lost because the magnetic heads could not strongly clip together. TOTAL DISAPOINTMENT.

Is there a way to track my earbuds without having to open the app and pressing the "Find My Buds" button everytime? The last location it tracked was a month ago because I haven't touched the app. What if I lose my earbuds at this very moment? (I still have my earbuds, just to clarify) The only location I'd have is the location from a month ago. Kinda useless, unless you actively keep pressing the "Find My Buds" option. Btw, the app is great and all.

Sound quality is great and the equaliser works great in the app but as soon as I started using the app my tarah pros would just not play audio and would need to be reset. I have already contacted support months ago and they sent me a new pair with the same issues. It's fine until you use the app unless you want the better sound quality with the eq. Just fix these issues and the app would be fine.

Terrible update - caused lack of sound in left bud. Finally managed to get both working again by uninstalling buds from phone and watch, uninstalling app, reinstalling app, reinstalling buds - took many attempts at rebooting/ powering off/ trying to connect to Bluetooth, over a 4 hr period, before opting for total uninstall/ reinstall AND missed my run! Had buds (Vista) for approximately 10 months with no previous problems.

I've received my Jaybird Tarah today. The earbuds are great, but this app is the most annoing and useless thing I've ever seen. Look, I'm nor saying that the sound quality is bad, but the app simply don't work with the earbuds!! It won't update the firmware, the equalizer presets not work and even for help to solve connection troubles this app can do something. I'm using Spotify equalizer, and for a Jaybird earbuds, this is pretty ridiculous.

Battery capacity is displayed as "%null" until I open the app every single time I connect the earbuds. Ticket 4060992 I was directed to uninstall and reinstall the Jaybird app. Then reconnect my headphones. Now my phone does display the battery percentage without entering the app. But, it takes 60 seconds to do so. That works well enough for me. But, it would have been nice if it displayed the battery percentage immediately.

Back to 1 star. Vista. Rubbish again. Only 1 ear now working when playing through phone. Other one with talk to tell me its on but won't connect properly. It does this often. Takes a long time of turning off and back on and different things for it to finally work normally again. It's now unpaired and need im stuck with no headphones for hours until I can get back to the charging case and hope it connects. Never had this many connection problems with any other brand headphones before.

Jaybird Vista's stopped connecting to my Phone two days ago. They show up on the BT menu of the phone but won't connect, they don't make a sound and resetting doesn't help - updating this App didn't do anything either. Please release a bug fix in the next update as currently they seem to be bricked but seeing the other reviews it looks like I'm not the only one with this problem rn.

Having used this app for years, I can say it was good. Pretty much everything you need. The only issues I have are connectivity issues with my earbuds (which aren't too often), and when trying to switch sound signatures nothing happens. There were times before when I had to restart the app for a switch in sound signature to take effect. Now, in the most recent update, nothing happens at all.

So far I've been able to use the application properly. One of the flaw is that the notification panel which displays the earbuds battery status doesn't get updated unless we enter the app which is a bit inconvenient. The accessibility is good but perhaps the UI can be updated to be more nicer to look at. Other than that, it's a great app to customize my jaybird vista.

The worst. If you have an actual music player, not a phone, these are useless. The volume is at full, all the time and not controllable by the device. If you don't use a phone, you can't download the app to change the controls either...

Amazing. The earphones themselves are great and so is the app. You can chose from EQ presets, make your own, or even chose from other users, which I love, and you can set controls, look at playlists and more. It has everything I need. Very user friendly 5/5

Annoying app. Sometimes my ear IDs won't connect so I'll bring up this app and it'll connect to one of them. There is only an option to "Find my earbuds" if you're connected, which gives it very very limited use. EQ is the only thing it's really good for.

50% of the the time it'll randomly decide to forget my earbuds even exist so I have to go through the setup process almost everyday. Can't update the firmware on the earbuds as it just crashes EVERY single time so presumably its the fix to the problem that can't and won't work. Used to like the earbuds but due to what is by the looks of thing Jaybird's compatability issues with its own products I'm beggining to think any product of their's is a waste of money

A bloated application taking a lot of storage with dubious features like the "Music & podcasts" section. There are already lots of music and podcast applications if I want. It should only do earphones-related stuff: connect and configure. Then, then important functionality of the application don't work unless the earphones are turned on. For example, the battery level. I'd say the UI could be improved quite a lot too.

The app still doesn't detect my Tarah Pro buds after I've paired them. App only works at first install and needs the buds to be paired each time I want to use it with the app. The buds connect with the phone Bluetooth with no issues but the app keeps telling me that my Bluetooth is off and that it can't detect the buds. Don't know how many times I've reinstalled the app but this issue still persists. Please fix.

so far one of the best fitting buds I've tried, sound quality is negligible over Bose. A smidgen of trouble losing connection, I plan to try a "soft reset" recommended in the troubleshooting section of the app. I expect that process to straighten things out as my wife has never had any trouble with hers and we both have Samsung Note 9's.

A brilliant app to accompany some great quality ear buds. The "find my buds" section of the app is SO HELPFUL and has saved me many a time. The ability to alter/customise the buds for different genres of music or podcasts using the app allows for the perfect listening experience. After having an issue with one of my buds, I reached out to the JayBird Support Team, spoke to Adarsh (who was lovely!), and I was provided with a solution.

Great app for managing different EQ presets, and searching for my earbuds (i.e. where it was last used). I forgot mine in the office and I found it using the tracking. But "customization" of buttons is *extremely* limited such that it doesn't seem to deserve being called "customizable" at all.

Buttons are not "customizable", there are only a couple of preset options you can choose from. There is no "triple press" support, for instance. Volume control with long press is ridiculously inaccurate... After adjusting volume through phone, the volume will go down (as to allow a notification to be heard) before going back to the adjusted level; extremely annoying.

It's pretty good sounds wise and when the app isn't trying to keep insisting with the update. I have issues updating the firmware. It installs up to 15% and tells me "something went wrong. A problem was encountered during the update, please try again". I tried with a different phone and the same issue keeps popping up. I'm not sure if I should get an exchange or what.

Recent update does not let sound from my phone (Google Pixel 3 XL) play through Tarah earphones even after connected. While I can control play and pause using the Tarah's central button, audio ends up playing from my phone's speakers instead. Also, the other buttons on the Tarah no longer work with my phone. Prior to this app update, my Tarah earphones were working perfectly.

Just received my Vista earphones and installed the app so this is just a first impression. So far everything works flawlessly, very easy to sync my earphones with the app and the personalized EQ is very nice. I haven't had any issues, in the 2 hours I've had it at least. Will update if anything arises.

The app is designed perfect to extract the true potential out of the earphones. Fantastic library of existing EQ profiles, but a much better interface for audiophiles to create their own profiles for a more personal experience. I have had no issues with stability of the app or experienced any lag in EQ profile response on the earbuds. No complaints!!!

So I love the app for the EQ settings. Where it falls short is the inability to have controls over how the earbuds work from commands. Not a fan of the lack of control. Please make an update to complete the experience 🙏

Great App makes the JayBirds the best premium earbuds I've ever had. It's a very well put together app. No confusion on how to do anything and the Equalizer is amazing and all the presets you can find. I can't believe I didn't know earbuds could be this amazing! Recommend buying some Jaybirds and getting the App! (I haven't done any listening to the podcasts yet so I can't really tell you about that.)

I love these headphones. Sleek looking, app is great, and the adjustable bass/treble function is so much fun and makes the whole experience immersive. Getting some for my partner, cause earbud envy is starting to cause us marital problems.

One of the best equalizers I've used for blue tooth audio, meets all my needs and although I can't say I use it as often as I could it's always there if I need it. I've had Three Jaybird earbuds through out the years, and if I have a problem supports been more then helpful and valuing their warranty. Thanks and I highly recommend the Garage Pro's, they've been amazing earbuds and I recently upgraded to the Vistas and am hoping for just as great of an experience. :)

Downloading this app broke my headphones. Everything was fine until I had to pair with Windows 10. I was having difficulties and the support advice was to install this app and update the firmware. As soon as I did that, sound quality became terrible across all devices, and there's nothing I do that just brings it to the previous working state. Just don't bother installing the app, it has zero value add and it may even make your device unusable.

I like this app. It allows you to control the sound quality adjusting it to the style of music you're listening to, offers genres and song I haven't heard from other people and groups. I a simple and easy to navigate app. I do wish the options for the button controls were more sophisticated. Like a triple tap, 2 long presses, etc. to make the controls more versatile and customizable.

I've never came across any issues within the app. One thing I'd like to comment is the lack of features in button controls (especially the left earbud). I think there's opportunity to add more features within in those settings.

Hands down best earbuds I have ever owned. I was going to buy some Bose earbuds but after reading reviews I went with these, and I am so glad I did. I work in electronics and use to them to listen to music all day at wk. Granted I charge them on break but still..... impressive. The sound is incredible and customizable. Single tap on either to pause, double tap on right for next song and double on left for previous. Press n hold on right volume up, left volume down. That is all customizable too.

This app continues to have issues for over a year that are yet to be resolved. In notification battery % says "null" or just doesn't show its connected at all when it is. I don't understand why this is constantly an issue. Let's be honest here, this app doesn't do a whole lot, and the things it's supposed to do it doesn't work correctly. EQ is great if it shows the device is connected. If you do get it connected it won't be long before the app says its not, but yet it is still playing audio?

(I'm on a Galaxy Note 9) I would love to give more stars but after the most recent update my volume has been cut down dramatically. Whereas before I could comfortably listen to audio at almost the lowest setting it now sounds like a whisper. To be able to hear anything I have to turn the volume nearly all the way up to get anything comparable. Please fix this quickly. At this point they're nearly useless to me in this state.

Terrible audio design, blew one of my speakers. Cannot at all recommend for this reason. The app has no option to turn off the EQ when the phone audio is using the 3.5MMS jack. The EQ I chose was okay for the tarah pros, but lead to incredible distortion when I used in my car. Destroyed a car speaker with this distortion. For what I paid for my tarah pros I would expect better app experience.

I've had one issue where the app froze while streaming music. I actually had to force close and clear the cache for it to work again. Other than that, this app is amazing. Love all the EQ options and playlist!

I was skeptical at first about spending the money for these but after destroying so many other bluetooth headphones with wires, I decided to go for it! Let me tell you it was a amazing experience. I love how they look and feel. The sound is incredible! With that noise cancelling it just makes it better. The fact that I can also adjust frequency ranges and apply bass boost is too much for my brain.

I mainly use the app for the equalizer and battery info, I just don't like how you have to open the app for it to take effect instead of coming on automatically when the headphones connect. But other than that, good app.

Good EQ options for adjusting music sound to my liking. Tutorials and FAQs are helpful. Only drawback is the bluetooth connection is not that smooth all the time. Occasionally, the volume being very low until I reconnect earbus multiple time. Lastly, the volume coming out of the Jaybird Vistas is not always the loudest and I find myself turning the volume way high. I have the Jaybird Vista Wireless Earbuds

The app sometimes it doesnt allow me to play a different song from the same playlist. It would pause the current song that I'm playing. Unless I jump out and play a different playlist then go back to play it again - like resetting the playlist. Also, there isn't a shuffle button? I would get bored very quickly if songs kept playing in the same order. Otherwise everything else has been fine so far. Able to change EQs and adding playlists from Spotify with no issues.

The app itself seems fine for adjusting the EQ but the Find My Buds feature does not work. I managed to misplace one of my jaybird vista buds and the bud i lost had not been updated in over a week (even though I use both at the same time!) I picked up a new pair and reported the problem via email, phone call, and their community forum. The new pair also doesn't update regularly. I'm listening right now and one of the buds is "at home". I've tried getting in touch with jaybird about it and i'm getting nowhere. As best as I can tell, I have let the app bypass power settings, which was the only advice I got from jaybird. no follow up since then.

I find it dumb that I suddenly was required to download the app for my earphones to pair with my phone when it was doing that just fine on its own without the app. The moment I opened the app, it didn't let me choose which device to pair with.. so it paired with my seatmates earphones which she was using! Fun surprise at work when her music suddenly blasted on speakers. Worse, I could not select the device to unpair, had to go to Bluetooth settings and manually do it there!

After the last Dec 18 update, the app always shows "null% battery left" and empty battery icon in the notification area once the headphones are paired. It was not the case before the update. As a workaround, I can open MySound app and only then battery level is displayed correctly. Please fix it.

I have just bought my vista earbuds and downloaded the ap but can't get past the Firmware Update Available page?? I click to update now but it runs into a problem and can't download. I click to exist but anything I click on within the ap brings me to the same page and the same issue! I am going round in circles! Not a great first impression!!

I love having the ability to customize my sound profile and save several different sound profiles based on what I'm listening to. I was surprised it works as well as it does. The firmware update is a must because the regular Tarahs sound like trash without it. After the update they sound like completely different earbuds. I'm pleased.👍🏽

The best out there! I have tried 4 different earbuds and the best ones are the Jaybird Vista. Also, their app is amazing. It includes everything and is easy to navigate. I am a tech savvy and also like to workout, so I did my own personal testing and this ones won my love.

Right out of the box (or in this case, download) this app showed me easy fitting guides, and easy set up guides. I was also able to quickly and easily set up my own EQ settings, and the sound quality is great. I took them for a test run of a couple miles and the comfort level is solid and I was able to easily tweak my settings. Great app so far.

I have this app for my Jaybird Vistas: Very easy to navigate. Useful features (playlists, staff picks, presets). Easy to create your own personal sound profiles. If you aren't interested in that, there's loads of presets to choose from, which are easily previewed before you save. Utilizing the app seriously adds to the listening experience of the ear buds.

Although I love the feel and sound of these headphones and how the app compliments, occasionally they either see the headphones as a new pair and/or don't recognize battery life. They have literally everything else I could ask for, so the issues are certainly not major. Get the headphones and get this app.

I ABSOLUTELY love this app!!! As a Music Production major, I know that every song has its own sonic qualities. With this app I can alter the eq per SONG IF I WANT! OR just create some generic overlays to boost certain signals for certain genres! Great work! And the customizability for the headphones is great as well! I am on my 4th pair of Jaybirds because I keep losing them, but that is a testament to how AMAZING they are! I could choose a different brand, but EVERY TIME, I keep coming back!!!

A phenomenal app for your jaybird products. With an eq customizer to tune the sound to your preferred style and settings for your buttons making it possible to personalise your product to your liking. Included (if available with your product) there is a tracking service witch makes it possible to see the last seen location of your headphones even the individual buds if you have truly wireless headphones like the vistas. I have owned both the tarah pro's and the vista's and have no complaints.

Love the app. The ability to time the EQ and save it to the headphones is amazing. But the ability to save multiple EQ profiles for use at later dates/with different song types, and the ability to share tunes is what headphones have been missing for a long time. The EQ is also very nice to use. The app also allows the customization of what the buttons on the buds do, as well as adding a live notification that tracks battery percentage for you ✌🏼😊

The way the app provides every minute information to the users in a simple manner using pictures is Great! It helps people who are using Bluetooth headphones for the first time Alottt! Got the Vista as a gift and never managed to connect it to bluetooth as its not visible, tried on more than one device and still not visible, tried all the resets and nothing appears to be working. i sent support and they need a proof of purchase that i dont have. so im stuck in the middle, really disappointed and frustrated from the experience. i live in Australia.

An update seemed at first to have corrected an earlier problem I had where it wouldn't remember the last preset, now it seems to sometimes get into a state where apparently it is changing the preset, but it has no effect whatsoever on the sound. I had earlier contacted support but they just gave me a very basic and not very friendly answer.

I downloaded this app to access the full functionality of my Jaybird Vista wireless earbuds, but it created problems switching connected devices. When I tried switching from my Android phone to my Ipad, the app would automatically force reconnection to my Android, even after manually disconnecting from the Android, even after I closed the app. The earbuds now work perfectly after deleting this app from my phone.

I have adjusted my initial review as the problems I had, have been fixed and sound much better. Jaybird customer service is very good. My Tarah Pro earbuds work great with the app now and as a music producer, I can tell you that they sound great and are very loud. Paired with the app and the ability to personalize your sound makes them one of the best earbuds I have heard for the price range. 10/10

Using jaybird tarah, Bluetooth connection drops whenever I pause a music or switch apps with sound. This happens WHEN EARPHONE IS USED WITH THE APP EQUALISER! Have to hard reset the device (eliminate the stored equaliser setting) to avoid this problem. Very unacceptable and frustrating. For those having connections problems try hard reset and NOT use their equiliser.

The app gives great value being able to customize the sound through the EQ and being able to customize the gestures button controls. I would however love more button and customizing. 2 commands feels very limited especially when saying okay google into the earbud microphone doesn't bring up the assistant. I'd also like to know the battery life of my charging case as well as the earbuds

The "programable button" is pretty much just a spotify premium ad. The long press on volume up and down is too slow for changing tracks, a double and triple tap is used elsewhere. I paid $160 for these earbuds, they should at the very least be able to do things without a premium membership, although I"d much rsther just a double and triple tap to skip forward and back and long press for google assistant (which no one ever really uses, least of all while running)

If this app worked like it should, then it would be great. But it doesn't. Had issues with initially pairing and dropped connections. Pausing playback caused the connection to be dropped. Volume was terribly low. Battery notification randomly chimes. I considered returning the headphones until I: uninstalled the app, removed the headphones from my BT devices, cleared the Bluetooth system app storage, and performed a factory reset on the headphones. Now I don't have any problems, but no EQ.

Ears buds Jaybird Running are fantastic physically... HOWEVER, connecting the jaybirds freezes my Google Pixel 3 XL EVERYTIME I try to Bluetooth connect them. It's a MAJOR pain to reset my cell everytime when connecting. It stalls/freezes YouTube 90% of the time. I've had 2 system updates with no fix! FRUSTRATING 👎!! The RIGHT earbud is the main controlled/connected. If you are LEFT ear dominant you're outta luck. If you have the right earbud separated, they WILL DISCONNECT/CUT OUT! DO NOT BUY!

Great app. the equalizer actually works, although I prefer the "flat" setting anyway. It allows you to check the battery levels on your jaybird earbuds as well. some of the preset sound profiles are only included because famous runners use them, but you can easily get them off your dashboard if you don't like them. Btw I just invested in the vistas and I highly recommend. They have surprisingly good sound and actually feel really high quality, while being basically invulnerable to the elements.

the update started causing connectivity issues with my headphones (X3s) - powering off every 3-4 minutes. tried re-installing app - no effect. tried unpairing and paring again - well can't pair the device anymore. tried factory reset - well, can't run factory reset. difficult to imagine it is all caused by the app update but definitely exposed some issues of the earbuds that I was very happy with so far.

I used this app with the Run XTs (which are extremely quiet from factory). There is no volume option in the app. You have to use the app to change the button profile on the buds then change the volume then change the buttons back. They need to either add a volume slider to the app or let you actually customize the buttons. Also the Run XTs frequent connection issues seem to made more frequent by just using this app. Just do not buy the Run XTs. Not worth 180 bucks.

This app is absolutely worthless. You need to register and connect spotify account to change earbuds' button behaviour!! And if you go to support center it requires you to enter email to subscribe to news and offers and won't let you any further until you do!! Equalizer is completely user unfriendly, there's no way you'll tune it with this interface, hopefully most music players have thier own. I do NOT need your social ******** whatever, I need to set up my device. Thanks for nothing Logitech.

it's good to equalize, save presets, battery level, but that's all. The rest is just an addition of useless features that make the app too big and heavy. it would be great to just have a simple app with the most useful options.

BE AWARE : Was good at the first 6 months, then you see that the product is left behind. Connection issues and more and more bugs coming with the application. Topical cie that sells you 200$ earbuds but they expect you to change them every year so they go end of support and development as soon as they are out. Look out for lucrative desing flaws like the way the inside of the buds is meant to fall to have you buy new "fittings" all the time. This product is not for long term use.

App works well, but there is a problem with notifications. Sometimes after connecting my X3s to my phone, a notifications appears that says the app is trying to connect to my earbuds. This does not go away until I disconnect and reconnect my earbuds. Another more serious issue is that the battery notification will disappear randomly and reappear, and this causes me to receive a notification. I can not turn notifications off because I can not see the battery. Both started a couple updates ago.

anytime I'm talking with someone and they have water running into steel or opening a bag of chips, the high frequencies are painful in my ears. I downloaded this app, hoping to adjust the frequencies and it didn't change anything after saving my settings. I don't listen to industrial products music, so I can't rate it on that wise. but the EQ doesn't work for the speakers in a phone conversation.

I have the Jaybird Freedom, the software update process is horrible. Partially click in when plugging into computer, then full click in using power button, but release before the click. Then the desktop app tells you nothing, don't know if it's working, no acknowledgment, idk what software my headphones currently have or anything. App with newest March update is constantly connecting amd reconnecting.

App causing problems with my Tarah Pro's. update your headset, apply custom settings, then delete app. With the app, my headset will disconnect and/or shutdown randomly. Sometimes after this event, all buttons stop working; can't turn on/ off or use volume. I have auto-shutdown turned off, updated headset, and reset my headphones mult. times. Haven't had issues after deleting app. Must be a bug on the app side, but then somehow the button input also stops working. Very frustrating for $160 :/

I have the Tarah Pros and experiencing extremely low in call volume as long as I have the Advanced Calling feature turned on on my phone. Which if turned off, I can't use data while on a call. Real big inconvenience to have to turn on and off. Would rate 5 stars if that issue didn't exist. Please fix. Update 3/22/19 After speaking with customer support, I will be returning the Tarah Pro headsets. I was told there's no plan on a SOFTWARE update that will fix the issue. Expected better for $160.

A COMPLETE waste of my time and the money I paid for the headphones. I returned them. I downloaded the app and when I opened it, it immediately prompted me to upgrade without a choice to bypass it. So when I hit upgrade it canceled the headphones and lock them and they would not turn on for 20 minutes. Wow who's the genius who thought of that.

The jaybird app keeps displaying a toast notification in a loop (displaying battery percentage) that I can't seem to stop. I believe it's stuck in an infinite loop. I also have issue with the buds connecting to my phone, once power on the buds has been turned off and then turned back on, the buds aren't paired with the phone anymore. I have to put the buds into pair mode and re-pair them with my phone.

Ive used my runs for about three months now, and the biggest problem i have with them is when this app doesnt connect to my earbuds, even after ive fully reset my phone, the earbuds and deleted the app, itll work for a little but then stops connecting to the app completely, but connects fine to my phone, hindering this apps customizability useless.

i love the hardware and the sound of the jaybird run that i just got. but for the note 9 experience, I've come to dislike the strength of the connection. sometimes at the gym it would just lose connection when it's right beside me, and to me thats a major no... i really have considered returning my buds but i live all the way in Belize and dont want to spend the money to ship it back to the states. but apart from those random drop connections it works amazing and i love the fit.

Too good? Today when I walked down the street with the X3 version, well I apparently walked in front of a car that tried to get past me. He honked about 3 times but I didn't hear a thing, the noisecanselation on these ear buds is amazing + you can customize your own style and sound for what you like. Well moral of the story is, be aware of your surroundings.

Have been testing on my galaxy S7 with the Tarah Pros. Headphones connect to your phone more reliably w/ the app uninstalled. With the app installed I get more random disconnects, as well as more frequent disconnecting when doing something as simple and common as pausing Pandora for a few seconds. All of these issues are amplified further when app is running in background. If experiencing extreme connectivity issues w/ Tarah Pro I recommend uninstalling app until patch.

great fitment , with several different pieces to cater to your ear profile . The app is great to adjust the sound to your personal preference . although out of box they sound great ! and great battery life I work in a shop and they hold up great and last 8-10 hrs depending on volume output

This app is fantastic! The level of control for your Jaybirds' sound profile is amazing, and the community resources can help you find any sound setting that you want! Easily accessible tools that are also intuitive and deep? Incredible! I wish they could make a standalone EQ app for desktop so I could use it for my headset!

Perfect utilitarian app. Does exactly what it should with a nice interface. However, once your settings are dialed in (a few days at most), this app becomes irrelavent unless you get a second headset or have to reset your earbuds to factory. EQ works really well, easy to use, and is fun to play with.

Bought X3 on a chance that they would fit my ears... I own several high-end IEMs because I need custom fitting done. These are the first in ear that worked and fit right out of the box. The companion app is awesome. These headphones simply can"t be beat for the money. The app has one of best EQ apps for mobiles that I have ever tried, plus settings get stored in headphones so you never have to worry about reconfiguring them e ereytime you switch devices.

Awesome! Easy to navigate and customize your sound. Tons of preset sounds in case tweaking isn't your thing. The "locate headphones" feature saved my a** as I lost my headphones 2x at work and was able to find them using this feature! Great app and great headphones !

Have been using the app with my X3s for almost a year now and it worked perfectly. Recently I upgraded to Android Pie and the app doesn't seem to work now, I am not able to see and use any of the presets, app's preset screen shows up blank.

I love my jaybird x3 headphones, but this app has major issues on OnePlus 5T. It crashes constantly, lots of buttons don't work. It's just a mess. I will try to redownload it in a few months. Hopefully there's some improvement because I'd love to mess with the different equalizer prefs.

It was a great app but the overall volume has been reduced a few versions ago and its kinda ruined it for anyone working out in noisy environments. I reverted to an earlier version. Why can't it be the responsibility of the user to decide if they want to ignore the max volume dangers? It's a great app other than that though.

I'm not sure why there are some negative reviews here but it may be because of their Android version or update version or even headphones. My Jaybird X3 and this companion app on my Google Pixel 2 XL (Android P) run perfectly. This app is fantastic, it gives me full control over the equaliser, ability to share and use other equalisers in the community and also locate my Jaybirds when connected or when switched off it's last known location. Can't find a thing to fault after having used this for over a year now.

I was super pumped to see a new firmware update to lower the screaming lady telling you the headphones are connected.... But it's still loud and there is no way to turn it off. Therefore, I'm still literally terrified to use these as night as I don't want to wake up with "POWER OFF" in my ears. Please please please just have the option to remove the voice.

Don't open the app if you plan on listening to music while changing the EQ the sound cuts out as soon as you open the app or click on anything, while the music continues to play in silence, only way to fix it is to continually hit pause n play to get the sound( coming from any source outside of this app to work again) super annoying when your supposed to use this app to set up your headphones and find the soundstyle that fits you best. Also why are the casings around your headphones so damn hard, I mean it's not your fault your just following every one else in design but for a future headphone design please make the parts of the headphone that makes contact with skin softer cause I can't even wear the RUN's for more then 20minutes before it feels like I shoved a brick in my ear Back to my SOL'S I GO

I've always heard about the app because of the review for the Jaybird X3 by MKBHD. I bought the headphones because of how good the sound quality supposedly was, and it turned out the sound was great. Thanks to the app though it helps me customize the sound that I want. I'm pleased to say that I've had no problems and am very satisfied with how well it is incorporated with the headphones!
