Ticwatch pro 3 GPS - Google assistant not working. "Sorry, I can't do that anymore" error when trying to make a call. Seems like a bad joke. I find it shocking that this has been a known issue for so long. Where's the support? Also my nest door cam alerts no longer shows a preview on my watch. It just says "open on phone". My partner's Apple watch has no issues with this. I'm hoping Wear OS 3 fixes all of the above

so far it is alright not very intuitive. I am still trying to figure out how I disable haptic feedback on my watch I do not want to feel my watch vibrate for every notification as well as for ever time I touch the watch to type a text or something all the vibration is unnecessary and annoying.

There need to be more faces added in the app. There are a select few n they seem to be too old and out of date and style.

This app seems to lose the icon and replaces it with a blank one. It also would be nice to change the photo watch face without having to use the heytap app. All in all it's ok but needs more options and the ability to add more tiles to your watch. Dark mode would also be a plus for the app as well .

Gujarati fonts are not supported in my watch. Currently my watch is running: Wear OS: 2.34, Play services: 22.15.14, System version: H, Android version: 9. It shows the "boxes" instead of gujarati fonts. Please resolve this issue.

I've set the option to mute notifications and calls on my phone when my watch is connected, but every few days it will ignore the setting and give me notifications anyway, making turn the setting of and then on again to get it to work. Any updates for the watch are downloaded immediately, doesn't matter if I'm using data or wifi with no option to stop the download or prevent it from using data. The watch battery usage screen isn't very detailed.

First smart watch ticwatch e3. Found OS easy to use. Only down point finding so far, not sure if wearOS or watch itself but gkeyboard anytime watch turned off and on defaults to vibrate on touch even when set to off. Leads to having to turn on and off again

Why or why is Alexa bundled into the OS image?!?!?!? Seriously, I'm not wanting an extra piece of software on this thing that has no use. Unbundle it from the Android OS. It's useless to have it as something I can't disable nor remove.

Have only had to use it for about a month and this is the worst smart watch application I have ever used. Minimal ability to customize to my personal needs and it's glitchy. The watch itself does stupid things (like keeps turning "display always on" on when I keep putting it off and the sounds keeps turning on when all I want it to do is to vibrate. Have rest (waste of 20 minutes each time) the watch 5 times and this application has always had difficulty pairing each time. It's horrible.

Overall unstable connection which often drops. Watch and phone sometimes disconnect from one another causing you to have to reset your watch and reconnecting which may or may not work. It just blows my mind how Google products compete with themselves "for security purposes" and therefore not syncing with each other. Just an unstable connection which is frustrating!!!

I have a gen 6 Bradshaw smartwatch, tried to connect Facebook/Instagram and the same error comes up everytime, says that this connections are still in development. What's the point of this then if doesn't let us or use the apps on the watches... This app should be updated more regularly and support in everything that we need...

2022 and I still can't call or text from a $400 "smart watch"... If it wasn't for the fact it still functions as a media controller at work and it's still a watch, I'd have tossed this in the garbage already.

Help! This app is only showing me a screen with a picture of my watch and other 'faces'. The watch isn't recording any data even though I have downloaded Google fit. Everything said that it's connected by both Bluetooth and wi-fi. I'm lost ☹️

Despite many other brand smart watch apps are provided with options to customize smart watch completely from mobile, Wear Os doesn't have much options. It will be very good, if the app is provded with option to manage all the settings of the smart watch, also able to install and uninstall apps in the smart watch.

Absolute rubbish. Do not buy wear os watch as the fitness will not measure without manually checking, no sleep data and generally a messy cluttered interface. I'll stick with literally any other os as they all work better than this. The only plus for wear os is Google maps on screen, yet it's only basic and no satalite image. Otherwise, it's just apps which are nearly all pay for and simply DO NOT work.

Honestly I've always loved Google my whole house is operated by Hub speakers lights you name it it's there I got a hub in every room I got a speaker in the bathroom I got the nest cams all through the house inside and out. Facial recognition software. What I can't understand is your watch app is disconnecteing and reconnecting and causing me these headaches but I also own a Samsung well I don't have those issues I'm having these issues with my Fossil when it's using the google app

So like I said with my other account I have multiple Google things in my house all throughout my house and I don't understand why your guys's watch app is not up to par with the rest of your stuff you got facial recognition software. Now I have a note 20 Ultra 5G. And I also have an S21 Ultra. I don't have the disconnection Andre connection problems with my Samsung watch. And my headphones are Jabra 85t and they have multi-point which means they can connect to two phones at the exact same time

For some reason I'm unable to receive notifications from any app on watch. The only time I get a notification is only when I get a call. Tried restarting, unpairing and re-pairing and factory resetting the watch. Just started happening from the past 2 days. Is this something others users are facing too. I've have a Garrett gen 5. Let me know if there's a fix.

I'm on the xiaomi mi 11 Ultra Chinese varient. I have a ticwatch pro 3 Ultra in the United States. I had been using this pair for over 6 months. Was deleting some apps and noticed I had two wearos apps. I deleted one. After deleting the other, re downloading several times from the getapps Xiaomi store and play store and apks. Nothing works! The first time it worked perfectly from the play store. I don't get why Google would make a change to the app from the play store. Frustrated!

Terrible. Zero security updates in over a year even when Google gets hacked every week. Pairing and sync issues because Google refuses to match updates across Home and Wear operating systems. Leaving blatant backdoors open for hackers should make people steer clear of Wear OS. I hate apple products but at least they take security and cross platform syncing seriously.

Couple of issues with the app. First, it turns on the "always on" feature without my permission. Second, why in the activities are there no way to measure activities in the water? Swimming or water polo for example.

Nothing works as expected, serious battery drain on 2 separate watches (15 minutes to go from 100% to 74%). Ongoing issues like others have mentioned with disconnects. Has been great for me for years, want downhill just after I spent the money on an upgraded watch. Majorly disappointing experience for the past few weeks.

My Mobvoi Ticwatch S2 used to always work fine with Dexcom G6 data and graph display on the watchface. Something changed and it no longer displays the graph or my glucose, but the glucose notifications do still work. I really miss having the glucose and graph on the watch display.

I have found other smartwatch apps much better. Wear OS is full of irrelevant things, as if they tried to squeeze in the entire Android smartphone into the watch. Please keep it simple. Changing watch face is so much easier through other apps. Wouldn't try it anymore unless there's a redesign. Happy to use my smartwatch just for time, like a regular watch.

Phone keeps disconnecting Having issues with my Fossil Gen 6. Bluetooth keeps disconnecting. I lose my connectivity with my phone several times a day. I keep having to go back to the settings and open Bluetooth again, as well as all other settings (NFC, Bluetooth, etc.), which is very annoying. Really hoping Wear OS 3 will help resolve this (very) cumbersome and annoying problem.

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, the watch connected and disconnected and it has been this way for months. Can't get it to reconnect for the life of me. There most be something more that needs to be done within this app, phone and watch are both connected to my WiFi and this app hasn't updated since January 2021. Could that be the problem 🤔?

I absolutely LOVE my watch........ when it works. Having to factory reset my phone multiple times is a HUGE inconvenience, and the only way to get my watch to hook back up to my brand new, just released phone. PLEASE FIX THIS ISSUE. I see multiple other people have the same issue. We spent hundred of dollars (each) on a watch that works only sometimes. UPDATE: add an update available and now my watch works amazingly!!!

I bought a watch to keep track of my events and to know the time, only for the "Agenda" app to not even work at all, my stuff is not syncing and I'm really tired of troubleshooting every single thing. I won't even mention the random bluetooth disconnects, where the solution is tapping the "connect watch" button in the WearOS app, and it gets magically fixed. Really disappointed.

Shocking! I bought a very expensive watch and it's never been right since I got it. I've had the watch just over a year and I use my watch for every minute of everyday as I work in a school so always clock watching. I'm now left with no watch which is effecting the time keeping at work! The face of the watch has gone black and tried everything to get it back on. Absolutely gutted that I've wasted so much money!

For some reason, my wear os app stopped showing my storage on my Ticwatch pro 3 ultra gps. I used to be able to click on advanced settings, and then it would show an option for storage. That option is no longer showing on the wear OS app. Unfortunately, one of my biggest beefs with Google is that there's no sign of wear OS 3 even though it was advertised as coming to my device highly disappointing.

It was working perfectly, then the Wear OS app updated. Now the latest update won't work with my Fossil Gen 5. It cannot find my phone and there was a message about OS 3 users will not be compatible. My Fossil Gen 5 is OS 2.3.3 so I guess Google dropped me from using the app. Lame considering my watch is less than 2 years old.

I can't really rate it because one of my Huawei watches won't even list to pair, and then when I get it to connect via BT manually, the watch tells me to finish setup on my phone, but I can't do that, because I can't click on my watch to add it! Very frustrating!!

Ticwatch E3. Perhaps this app should be rebranded to UnWear OS as you will get so sick of the bugs & issues with your device that you will just discard it in a drawer never to be worn again! I have an issue with notifications repeating when an internet connection drops then reconnects. Check forums - this issue has been around since 2019! Google support is non-existent, Mobvoi support is simply to blame your phone (which I have replaced - still the issue persists!!) DON'T BUY A WEAR OS DEVICE!

How is the assistant on Wear OS STILL broken? Since day one on both my Fossil Sport and Fossil Gen 6 it hasn't worked. It's an expensive step counter at this point. This will be my last Wear OS device if 3.0 doesn't impress.

Rubbish. Bought expensive watch. Pair and Connect appears. Watch says connected, but phone doesn't acknowledge. Watch says Continue set up on phone, but eventually gives in and requires watch reset. Tried reset 3 times. Followed advice, ie Bluetooth on, in range, location sharing on. phone reboot. Nokia 8 phone, Fossil 6 gen watch, Android 9. Watch describes Android 6 - 12 as adequate.

Horrible menu with a very very short list of options. I cannot get it to stay connected to my Mont Blanc from my Moto G force. When I go to change to aftermarket watch faces it cannot find them after I purchase them. It's setting menu is absolutely lacking. If I want to answer straight from my phone I can't. Good app but it has an annoying bug built-in. Every time I walk out of range of my phone I have to re-connect the watch. Please, make it simple. The phone and the watch "know" each other already. Let them reconnect automatically, when they are back in range. Sony does that with their smart watches. Please, do it in the next update.

Update 2/20/22 still sucks. Having to go through the setup process is so painful. Until they find a way backup settings like a new phone I'm done. It's impossible to remember the plethora of settings that need to be in place to work... wellness, fit etc. Never detects activity automatically. In the end I think the Casio I wore 8th grade was more useful. Cumbersome, limited, buggy. The $250I wear os device tells time well.

Too many issues, but basically the same as all the one star reviews have listed. I think this will be my 4th hard reset and yet still having issues. Now the battery isn't charging. I was so excited to for my gen6 watch got it for Christmas and have not been able to fully enjoy all the capabilities/functions it promises. My fitbit works better and its seen better days. Disappointing! Huge let down, should have just gone for another fitbit or other smart watch.

Got a TicWatch 3 for Christmas and everything was working great, been using it for texts, calls, Google pay everything, hardly needed my phone anymore for the stuff you do everyday... Then out of nowhere Google Assistant keeps saying "Couldn't connect to your phone" performed a factory reset on the watch repaired with phone and still same thing. After doing research this has been ongoing for several years on multiple devices. No clue what to do to fix it now. Really disappointed.

This is an incredibly limited app. Asus zenwatch had many more options for customization, so I'm disappointed that I don't have the option to change the watch face as I want, or now even the buttons. I don't understand how this app can be so minimal in its choices and not be easier to use. It's just disappointing.

My husband bought me a Fossil Gen 6 for Xmas, and i received it on the 16th of Dec, we paired it, made sure we were connected to the correct google apps for texts, phone calls, and to customize face watch. Now today 12/28/21 it stops receiving notifications. My husband spent an hour re-setting up my watch for it to disconmect minutes later. I took over, i have spent over 2 hours and now waiting for the watch to charge since the bat drained, but this had been a headache in itself!

Wear OS has been offensively terrible for the past 2+ years, and even with the rollout of Wear OS 3, and the supposed regained attention to the platform, the best I've seen is refreshed visuals. For far too long, Wear OS has been plagued by bugs and issues, and Google seems intent on putting focus elsewhere. Assistant hasn't been able to send texts nor make calls for over a year (maybe over 2 at this point, and 3 for calls), and if you ask me, that's a tad integral to a smartwatch.

Update after long-term use: still have very frequent connectivity issue with my fossil watch. Can't recommend. Update: still have trouble with the connection. I was able to pair it with the phone. But the watch (fossil gen 5) often loses connection with the phone. Would love to see future improvements on this basic aspect and other basic things like a good podcast and aubile solution like audible :)

Wear Os is okay but the only issue I've noticed recently that's VERY inconveniencing is that if you open an app on the watch the screen will open it then the screen goes black and you don't know if the app opened and completed it's function (ie: find my phone). Tap on the screen=nothin press the big button main watch face lights up and app you opened is nowhere to be found. Issue 2 when texting the screen decides to time out despite timer whatever you typed is gone and now I gotta restart.🤷

I don't know what happened to Wear OS in the 2 years since I last used it, but it is awful. I cannot send a text using the Google assistant from my watch - but that is one of many issues that should be basic functionality and fails. Then again, it could also be the watch. Who knows. The whole package has been surprisingly bad. I'll expect to throw this watch away when they release wear os 3 in 2022, and then they'll likely discontinue the app in 2023.

Wear OS is a nice idea but in terms of application it's butt. Just way too many places it falls short in terms of usability, apps, connectivity etc.I just wanted to swap my phone out for a temp use phone so I could do a repair on my main. Nope it's gotta be more complicated for no reason. Unpaired then re-pair simple? Nope now you've gotta reset the watch and lose all your precious settings and watch faces you've so carefully put together after determining your preference. 😤

It worked at first but after a couple "upgrades" the app no longer opens. Have to set my Google watch manually and now only use it for time, when it's accurate. If I knew I couldn't utilize the features after a couple months of use, I wouldn't have gotten it. It's ridiculous the watch can't sync to my phone without the app. Now when the watch dies I have to set it all over again. It seems nominal but after weeks of doing this, I no longer care to wear the Google watch. And I love watches 😤

Success !! Please bring the watch to a factory reset. This has worked. I have moved to Samsung as LG has given up the Cell Phone Market in late July, 2021. Never a single problem with the Google Watch.and Wear OS. This android watch does not connect with the cell phone, lost of the watch faces are completely gone!! I am sincerely trying my best to work with these problems without success. Clearly, this app has lost needed support. Avoid this my friends.

The Wear OS app updated on my phone last night (October 4, 2021) and now no longer works. I keep having to reinstall it and then keep having to repair my phone and watch in the app on the phone. Also, most of what had been in the app on the phone is missing, including tiles, watch faces, storage, etc., and just a blank white screen rather than a picture of the TicWatch Pro 3 GPS which had been there for the past 6 months. Please advise, thank you

I see all the contracts with your face designers ended because all of them suddenly disappeared, including the one I was using. Kinda disappointing. But seriously, all your watch faces are horrible, almost afterthoughts for your dev team. It's the screen I stare at the most, it should have some thought put into it. Get your team to crank out some thoughtful, artistic, interesting faces. I'm tired of defending my watch when my wife just has to flash her apple one and everyone swoons over it.

It's boring. It synchronized just fine, but the available selections are disappointing. You can only choose from about 8 "tiles" that they provide and can't add any that I actually want to use like Pandora or even texting! I can reply to a text but I can't initiate one w/o using Google assistant which I don't use. It doesn't monitor sleep... Limited faces... I'm just really disappointed that I wasted my money on this Fossil watch. It looks great but this software is very bland and basic.

Terrible to use with the LG G Watch as it has no option for a completely buttonless experience. The power button is a tiny pin button on the backside of the watch, yet is necessary to do basic and often used functions like opening the app drawer. Whereas a simple swipe left would suffice, both left and right swipes are permanently bound to changing watch faces. Cumbersome to say the least

It seams to function ok, biggest problem for me is that I use 2 phones. 1 for work, 1 for personal and in order for the watch to work with both I have to reset and then go through the entire setup process every time I change what I'm doing.. make it to where the watches can connect to multiple devices. I can do it with sim cards, I can do it with every single Bluetooth accessory I have, why can't I do it with a "smart" watch

I am completely unable to use/ connect / pair my Fossil Sport 2 smartwatch. The app doesn't detect anything even though it's connected via Bluetooth and on the wifi. My 200 dollar watch is unusable with this app. I just purchased a set of pixel buds and they connected in 5 seconds out of the box. Take a hint from your own software and fix this!!!

The app itself work as intended. However system updated to the OS are a joke. Screen no longer flashes when I select my heart rate on the home screen which used to give confirmation it was getting your heart rate, next system update broke the playback features for things like YouTube. Please note that the settings were changed to show it so it isn't a user error. Also note that a factory reset fixes these issues. So it's not a hardware issue either. Either fix these bugs or stop forced updates.

I have been battling with syncing my MK watch to this app for the past three hours. I have tried all of the trouble shooting suggested to get this to work, and it gets stuck at the same point everytime. Seems very inconsistent with most Google products I've used. Very upset. I can't use any function on the watch without pairing to this app, so bow I have a watch that can't even tell me the time. Very aggravated.

When the app works it's great but it fails too often. Like others I have had to factory reset my watch to get it working again. Hasn't happened for a few months now but it could happen. If you use a third party messaging app, excluding big ones like Facebook, then it will often not send a message or not notify you of a new one. Just wish they could put more love onto it.

Been having consistent issues trying to get my fossil q explorer since day one of purchase. I have kept this watch for well over a year hoping that the os would get an update eventually, but to no avail; I still have issues getting it to connect to my galaxy note 20 plus and have had issues with it on the previous phone (another Samsung device).

Just horrible. Poor pairing - too many unsuccessful attempts. Limited options - very basic; minimal watch displays; and Poor user interface - a handful of screens, but they make little sense to the purpose. Obviously M Kors picked the winner at an 8th grade science/technology fair to build this app. I have added and removed this app, and reset the user default multiple times hoping that it would correct itself, or a new release would be installed, but obviosly Kors took the money and ran.

Continues to work great all things considered. When you have a closed software and hardware system such as iOS, it becomes much easier to make all the stars and planets align. Considering the number of mobile phones and wear devices are so varied with a range of hardware and bloatware, the software is extremely competent and effective. Has connected my phones to four different watches. Interesting how many never consider problems not universal. Perfection expected if Google makes hardware.

The watch did sync but it automatically disconnected from the app because the app constantly shuts down during data accessing.Even though the watch would be connected and all right when the app is transferring data it stops and just says error and doesn't try to do anything further. It says"Disconnect and try again" I've done so multiple times and still nothing. The app has potential to work but I think it depends on the compatibility of the watch to the app.I don't think it supports certain ones

Wear OS is useless garbage. Cannot detect my Fossil watch despite being connected many times before. I followed all suggested steps to fix with no success. The user interface is not intuitive and not very helpful. It seems to function only when it chooses. I never know for sure if my watch is connected; display often shows disconnected. I have one simple goal - track my running stats w my watch. Wear and Fit are so bad and frustrating I want quit running. Thanks for adding frustration to my life

Update: After some tinkering I got the app to sync. Still a frustrating experience, and Google's reply to point to the watch company is passing the blame. Also, factory resetting every time is a bad experience. I lost my apps and watch faces, again. The OS app could do way better! This is getting worse every time I try to get back into wearables. Now my watch wont even connect via the app. Ive even been able to manually connect via bluetooth... Which the phone recognizes but the app does not.

This used to be a functional, but not brilliant OS. It did the basics well.....notify me of calls and messages but then it didn't. No rests worked and I'm three rounds into factory resets of the watch and Uninstall/reinstall Wear OS. After a full evening wasted on this, it's working again but super S.L.O.W. This shouldn't be this difficult. Do better, team Google.

New update new issues! With the new update I have not been able to use my watch at all! The OS is clunky to say the least and it's bogged down my watch to the point where it's unusable. At first I though it was a hardware issue but I quickly realized the issue is with the newest WearOS update. Anyone else have problems after the update? I am using a Ticwatch Pro gen 1

Terrible. FIX THE UPDATE!! My watch has worked fine since the day I bought it. Until the last update.. now it gets really hot. Burns through the battery within an hour (when I used to get 2 days per charge) and when I try to reset the watch the settings app keeps crashing. I literally cannot do anything. It won't connect to my phone. And I can't reset the watch. Thanks google.... You're really making it hard not to switch to the dark side...

Great watch OS, terrible pairing experience. I don't understand why the pairing has to be location based, but the location based pairing has prevented me from pairing the watch with my primary phone, as it seems like my phone (Motorola G Stylus 2020) is not providing location in a way that is compatible with the Wear OS app, or something similar. I pulled out an old spare phone, set it up, installed the app, and it picked up immediately, letting me set up normally.

Super clunky, slow OS. It's definitely what I'd call unusable. The one thing that really gets me is you can't change the screen timeout time and basically everything takes longer to load than that. So when you click on something, the screen goes black and will sometimes go home so you have to start over again. My workouts never start tracking on google fit either. I basically have to start a workout 15-25 times for it to actually start. That takes about 5 minutes. 5 minutes to click start.

Can't send new text messages via Google Assistant anymore. Updates break functionality. I can't send texts by voice anymore, but can respond to old texts. Instead, I get an error message. Still terrible. Won't buy another Wear OS watch. There is no product support, and this issue has been around for years and has not been fixed.

Please fix the assistant. I used to use it all the time and now I can't. I use it to send messages to my kids while I'm at work where I can't use my phone. And I use it to set reminders and I can't do it anymore. Please fix everything thing is close to perfect and I both need and want those features. Rate 5 if fixed. you told me to check your forums and all it does is tell me to disconnect the reconnect or to make sure the connection is still is there of course it's there.

Fossil gen 5. Laggy OS, Google assistant fails consistently, the favorite contacts complication broke about a week ago and no longer works. When it works its fantastic, but it fails enough that it's not even worth trying to use. Edit: Followed recommendation, posted bug issue on the forum. A week later no reply from any of the experts. I found another post describing the same bug from 2018, that also never got an expert reply or a solution. February 2021 update: still laggy and broken features.

I can not connect to my phone no matter what I try. The phone connects thru blue tooth. But the app never sees my phone. Update. The developers of this responded very quickly. Thank you. I believe the problem is on me. My Android phone is only ver.5.1.1 after careful reading of the fine print I need 6.0 or higher. Thank you for your response.

All of a sudden, wearing the watch doesn't silence phone rings nor notification tones on the phone. Since Google are constantly changing their software, who's to know where the issue is. Have restarted both devices. Prepare yourself for this kind of stuff if you use WearOS. I would bet iOS has the same issue with the iWatch...or whatever it's called.

Total Garbage app. I recentley changed phones. It would not pair with other phone. So i went on to Casio and Google. I followed the steps by step set up. It said to factory reset. So i did as instructed. It still would not pair. I tried to pair back to my old phone. It would not let me do it. I repeatedly followed the steps. I did this for 10 hours. Now i own a $400 Pro Trek that is garbage now. I called casio. They said give it a week to update. I doubt it will be fixed. "Thanks alot Google"!!!

Disappointed. Most of the app just doesn't work. Won't let me download watch faces, keeps saying to download a browser in which I have done, 10x now. Reading the instructions that came with the watch, half of the capabilities they say the watch has, is supposed to be available through the but, the app no longer has the options. Just very disappointed with the software.

It's cool and all, it pretty much works great but their BIGGEST flaw is that you can not speak to text to SEND a text. You can only do it to REPLY to a text. But if you need to just send one, it doesn't work. I went online to see if I could fix the problem some how and there were HUNDREDS or people talking about having the same problem. It's not something you can really "fix". Some people say that Uninstalling google from your phone helps, but having a Pixel you can't really do that. Soo..

The Google assistant on the watch is messed up if you try to call or text with it. It keeps giving me the "can't connect to phone" when I try to use them or another feature that doesn't work such as the "play music" option. The saying "ok google" feature also doesn't work even though I have it enabled. From what I've seen these problems have been going on for a while now and many other people are having the same issues.

It has been working fine for the last year. I was having some issues with my Casio WSD-F20A and was recommended to do a factory reset. I did that and now this app will not setup the phone. It just gets stuck at the "getting your watch details" and then errors out saying it cannot complete setup on phone.I have seen a lot of reports of this same issue and spent the better part of the day trying some of the solutions but nothing worked.I even tried a completely different device to setup on. Same.

No way to block notifications for a certain time. I use Silence Premium app on my phone to setup "do not disturb" mode at night (10pm to 8am). For the Tickwatch - it doesn't work! Any WhatsApp, or Hangout, or any other message, sent too late or too early - causes vibration on the watch and wake you up. You can only block notifications on the watch completely (one at a time!) through this app. And then, in the morning you have to turn then back on (on at a time). Or don't get messages at all.

Wear OS will not be any good until there is an easily accessible switch for choosing between the GPS on your phone or GPS on your watch. The point of having a GPS enabled smart watch is so you don't have to take your phone with you on a run, so you want to have the watch use its own GPS start to finish, so there is no gap in GPS coverage after the user gets out of range of their phone's signal.

The updated messed up my watch, I have the fossil gen 5 and Google Assistant use to work before the update but after it has to be taped, it doesn't detect "ok google". Also whenever I change my phone back to daily mode all my settings are switched to default and I have to go back into settings and change them. when I receive a call and I answer with my phone it automatically goes to my watch and I don't even have a way to switch call to phone. I think samsung is the way to go for smart watches.

With Google play music now gone, I can't load music onto my watch to listen on a run. How is this possible? Literally the reason I bought this watch was to go on a run with my music and leave my phone at home. This is now impossible. Thanks. Summary: music CANNOT be loaded onto watch anymore due to app support being removed. The internal storage is now useless to me.

Just got a pixel 5 to replace my aging 2xl. My Fossil Sport worked fine with my 2xl. Got the updated wear app on my 5, and it freezes at about 10% when trying to connect to the watch. If I close and reopen the app, or restart my phone, the phone thinks they connected properly while the watch is still waiting for it to connect. If I restart the watch, it thinks it never connected and makes you start over, but you can't because the phone thinks they are synced. "Forget device" repeats the issues.

I wish I could revert my watch back to an older version. I paid $300 for nothing. It's so slow. Even just trying to do simple tasks such as look at the time or a notification times out and the screen goes dark before it even loads. I'm back to my $20 Seiko, it's more reliable and lasts longer than these "smart" watches.

Terrible! It requires the phone to have a completely different number so if you leave your phone at home and people text you you're not going to receive this text messages unless they came to the new number. Could not get it to work with SMS. All the bells and whistles it said it could do with Verizon would require your contacts to know the secondary number. Not looking for that.

Update: love that the feedback was to contact the manufacturer... thats a joke right? This app is the problem. Finally got it paired after 2 weeks and countless factory resetting watch and removing the app and reinstalling over and over again.. no thanks to support from here.. like all the rest after installing update on brand new phone will no longer connect to my watches. The app just spins like it is trying to get it setup but never finishes.

Not bad, easy to use. It should host its own watch face only market to find watch faces instead of all these weird third part marketplaces. Also it does not allow changing much on the watch like screen timeout, nor does it support constant heart rate data for Google Fit which was what I was hoping to get out of this.

This app needs to have options to select what you want instead of defaulting to programs that I don't use in the screen when you swipe down (Google Pay, Airport Mode, Battery Saver, etc.) I would like to replace them with Wifi, Bluetooth, etc. Functions that I can use! This should be customizable to whatever the user needs! Minus one star for this.....

The app is OK. I have to dock a couple points for it not having dark mode (even after the Android 10 update), and for having limited management options. For example, I'd want to be able to install apps on my watch from my phone to save some hassle. And maybe even add some ways to change extra settings from the app.

I have mixed emotions. I love the looks of the software. But that's about it. I hate that I don't have continuous heart rate and sleep tracking. I don't at all believe I'm being picky for wanting those things, because every competitor of wear os offers those things. The software is slow, stutters like no other and just does a lot of things that makes no sense. I think the Fitbit acquisition could really build on the little they have, so I hope it happens. Because I want to stay in the ecosystem.

This update screwed up my watch. No connection, no messages, no notifications. I have factory reset my watch 10 times and reinstalled Wear OS twice. My phone was factory reset 4 days ago. Everything is fresh and free of junk and cache data. This update has made my watch completely useless. I cannot even finish setting it back up now as if becomes stuck at the "Continue set up on phone" stage.

This app has rendered my smart watch stupid. The ability to use some of the phone, text messaging and Google assistant features has vanished since getting the last update and I can't find a fix anywhere. Rapidly losing my love for Wear OS and many things Google. Lost the ability on my Fossil Carlyle to tell the assistant to make calls or send texts. Yes, I've looked at the help, community help, Google help, hard reset the damn thing, uninstalled, reinstalled , checked permissions. Getting mightily pissed. Spare me the tired standard response, I've been there already along with hundreds of other people with the same problem.

WearOS is great but there are still a few flaws with it. 1. Sometimes my alarms will still go off, even after dismissing it on my phone. Even then I can't dismiss on the watch, I have to reboot. I would LOVE to be able to turn off alarms for the watch. 2. The scroll wheel will instantly go from the top menu down to the notification list. I have to scroll ever so slightly to get back to my watch face. (Not sure if a software issue or a hardware one though). 3. GOOGLE REMINDERS DON'T WORK.

I don't think I would get another smart watch if it had to run this. It's clunky and difficult to get it to do want you want, and options are very limited anyway, like the unchangeable screen timeout after only a few seconds. Even on a high end watch, checking texts and clumsily controlling music is about all it's good for, and the Gear Fit 2 I got for free with a phone did this better years ago.

Following a recent update, the app is totally broken on my phone (Galaxy S8+). It takes forever to load, is not showing graphics, and not sending notification to watches. I had a problem recently with my bluetooth shutting down. I thought it was my Pixel 3xl +which I've had for a year and a half). I factory reset the phone and installed my apps, but the issue continued. Next, I decided not to reinstall Wear OS and not pair it with my Fossil Explorist 4. It's been a day now and no issues with bluetooth, so far. It appears that Google's own Smartwatch OS or the Android Smartwatch has a conflict with its Google's own flagship phone

WearOS is terrible. It is super buggy. My fossil sport watch worked fine with my samsung s10 for a while then it dropped and wouldn't recognize my phone. I hard reset both, and they wouldn't pair, something about not being able to communicate with the watch. Finally got it to connect after a 5 or 6 tries then, after a few months, I have to repeat the entire process. I now have a pixel 4 and I am still having the same problem. If you are debating between Tizen, Apple, or a wearOS watch, well, I can't speak to the others but wearOS is frustratingly terrible. Every time I look up answers on how to fix it, all I see are people having the same issues without any solutions. I just don't get how they're ok with this garbage. Even when it is working it is clunky and slow.

It would be very nice to see an auto rotating screen feature, for when you wear the device on your right wrist. I am left handed and prefer my wearables on my right wrist. It is possible to wear my device (Fossil Gen 4 Explorist HR) on my right wrist, but it is very difficult to use the hardware button and digital crown, as they do not sit in a position that is easily accessible on my non-dominant wrist. If there were a way to rotate the screen, that'd be amazing! Thanks!!

But, if you try to use assistant or any voice command it says "couldn't connect to phone" even though it is connected for physical commands I send to my phone from my watch. Updated rating. - - - App and watch worked fine with previous phone, got a new version of the same phone for my birthday and apparently there was an update around then. This app is incredibly frustrating to use. I had to reset my watch because it wouldn't connect. Now that it is reset, I can't get it to connect again. The app gives me a drop-down menu to either connect to the watch or add a new one, everything else is a blank screen. I followed their instructions listed in the FAQ and nothing is working. The most recent update broke GPS - any attempts of the watch to get location data from the phone fail, unless the phone is running a different application they gets fine grained locations (such as Google Maps). GPS still works disconnected from the phone, but I run with my phone and therefore none of my runs are tracked. Same issue whether I'm using Google Fit or Strava.

Running Wear OS on the Hauwei Watch 2. Not sure how much of the issues are due to the hardware or the Android software. The software is slow and extremely buggy. Would not recommend the watch or Wear OS unless an update (perhaps the long-awaited update that has yet to make its way to HW2) resolves the issues. Highly disappointed. Edit 14 Feb 20: The Wear OS update improved the responsiveness of the watch, but not by much.

App and watch do not stay connected, and the only help I can find says (essentially) just restart and reinstall everything. No way to submit a ticket that I can find. Added content as a reply to Google for responding: Thanks for the reply - I did not expect that. I have already tried those links and contacting the manufacturer, and the summary of the help offered is (paraphrased) 'make sure everything is turned on, then reboot, then reinstall'.' That is not, in my opinion, helpful troubleshooting.

It's not bad but needs work. There are hardly any tiles and the scroll function with the crown works in some areas but not others (very inconsistent). Also I have to periodically reset the watch in order to have notifications from the messager app make the watch vibrate. That's a pain as the point of getting the watch was for notifications when my phone isnt on me. There are times where I didnt even see messages because the vibration never happened. Need to work on bugs google.

I dig it overall, but I'd love to see a flip display & buttons settings. I have a Fossil smartwatch. I wear it on my left wrist, and the buttons are on the right. Which means when I lean on a desk it hits the crown button, and will cause it to reboot. I tried wearing it on my right hand, but I am not used to that. The watchbands however are interchangeable, so I could switch them to make the watch upside down on my left arm, and the buttons will point toward my elbow.

Constantly has broken cloud icon and when watch is connected via bluetooth it gives no internet connection. As a result you will get your notifications (texts, emails, calls) but none that require internet (facebook messages), and renders some apps useless (google assistant). A seperate issue is the watch does not vibrate when receiving notifications or calls unless you turn off, do not disturb while off wrist (highly annoying). Unacceptable for a simple watch app from a company like google.

I've only had my watch (Fossil Carlyle) a couple of days, but so far it has been more frustrating than anything else. The screen timeout is the worst offender by far. How am I supposed to even get familiar with what this can do when I'm only allowed to look at the screen for a stupidly short amount of time? After some research I've found I can change that, but only with a 3rd party paid app. Another basic feature that seems to be missing is text messages. Again, 3rd party paid app.

Good until November. I've had the watch for less than 2 years. The update done to the app in November made my watch stop being able to connect to the app. I factory reset the watch because that's worked in the past. Now the app and watch won't connect to together at all. I have sent feedback multiple time and posted about this on the forum and no one has responded. I am SO MAD about this. I waited for a December update to see if it would fix it before complaining. No such luck. Please fix it!!!

Overall, it's a pretty user friendly app. I just wish I could add my photo for the watch face through Google Photos not just Facebook and Instagram. I also wish there were more customizable options for the watch face. I haven't quite figured out how to talk on the phone from my watch, either, but I haven't put a ton of time into it. Overall I feel it's a decent smartwatch for the average user.

Dealing with the "Not able to copy Google account issue" It was working but after one reset because of the "disconnect bug" (which still exists) it now never allows me to copy my Google account. Even after resets, clearing cache, data, removing my Google account. Everything. It's a shame Google doesn't seem to really care about wearables. Edit: Took a factory reset on my phone to get everything working and connected again. That should not be the solution. Edit2: After using it for sometime it's been much better than previous experiences. However, there still is a lot of work to be done. Hopefully, Google does significant improvements to Wear OS in 2020.

The app would be good if it were not for the fact that I have to factory reset my watch every time this app decides it doesn't want to pair with my watch anymore. My watch can still receive notifications from my phone, but when I open this app it brings me to the getting started page. The app does not list already connected watches in the getting started menu and there doesn't seem to be a way to disconnect the watch without a factory reset.

Notifications dont vibrate after you take off watch when "do not disturb when off wrist" is enabled until you reboot. Scroll wheel only works in some apps making navigation inconsistent and annoying. Software kinda buggy when doing things like replying to messages. When it works it's enjoyable, when it doesn't it's frustrating.

Let's face it: when the idea of an Android smartwatch was developed, it was with the idea that people would want to replace their phones with their watches. Google has finally realized that isn't what we want - on average, a user spends all of five seconds interacting with their watch. We want to deal with calls, messages and notifications quickly and efficiently. Wear OS does that: it's not flashy, sexy or snazzy... but that's not what we want! Wear OS does exactly what we want it to do.

After the update, my watch stopped vibrating when I got notifications. I tried letting the battery run all the way down after checking all my settings and seeing they were correct. When neither of those solved the problem, I tried doing a factory reset. Now the app closes everytime I open it. I can't use the watch as a watch! I just keep getting the promts to pair my device, which I can't do. I sent a message and have not heard back. Was really liking this device/app but now its useless.

As a big Android fan, I was very excited to see what Google could do in a smart watch. I didn't wear a watch before this, but I thought the idea would be pretty cool. There is a convenience to it, but overall, it sucks. It feels like a beta. Updates are few and far between, everything is painfully slow, battery life is pretty bad, several basic functions (like setting reminders) don't work! Last update made it so I have to reboot the watch every day or it doesn't send any alerts! It needs work.

Was working well for about a year, but over the last couple of days I am having trouble connecting my watch to my phone. I tried resetting my phone and my watch (doing a factory reset on the latter) and now I cant get my watch past the setup screen. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the WearOS app, but that still hasn't worked. So either the bluetooth on my watch is messed up, or the app is broken. Either aren't great!

Overall good expeience for setting up and using watches. A couple of improvements would be nice... 1) Ability to customize watch face (not just select it) within the phone app (doing on the watch can be cumbersome); 2) Faster changing between devices. I have 2 watches and its a 4 step process to change. Disconnect current, select new, connect new. Seems there could be a smoother/easier way to switch watches. Edit: -1star. Having to reset watch when switching phones is quite painful.

For the past two years WearOS has been so frustrating and disappointing. The updates are very lackluster, the UI is terrible, performance is sluggish, wearable Snapdragon processors are outdated, and after a while the watches are almost unusable due to how bogged down they get after a few months of usage. Apple and Samsung have evolved their wearable hardware/software so much, while Google is almost exactly where they were at two years ago.

Something's up with either Android 10 or a recent update of Wear OS. Some time in the last couple of weeks, my Pebble Time watch went from 4-7 days of battery to 1.5 days, tops. Something is going wrong here, and I'd really appreciate a real response from Google about this. Like other users, this is not a settings issue, this is an Android OS issue.

Whatever updates happened in the last month have made my Diesel ON useless. It doesn't connect to the play store anymore and is stuck in and endless loop with a notification that says "account action required" blah blah blah. I cleared data and cache and even did a factory reset. No joy. Thanks wearos for ruining a good experience.

The software is solid and works with all Android devices which is very nice compared to other watches with more device specific compatibility. My only complaint would be lack of customization on the actual watch face itself. I would like to see an update where you can change what information is being displayed on the actual watch face. For example, I love the default watch face, but would like to change Google assistant to battery%. I don't understand why battery% isn't a default icon to view.

I have been using Android Wear for 4 years now. I've had 3 different watches, 3 different phones, and all of them have had the same issue - continual disconnects. I'm lucky if I can go 1 full week without having to factory reset one or both of my active watches. Notifications stop working constantly and apps requiring internet (such as weather) fail to work more often than not. This is a continual issue.

A very dismal experience with wear os on a highly recommended fossil q explorist. Rife with bugs, so slow as to be unusable, can barely perform extremely basic functions (timer, stopwatch, alarms), voice control is a utter joke (if it says "speak now", it should be ready for me to speak...). I don't know how this is even a serious product.

Crappy. Only have had it for 4 months. The app quits working every two weeks or so. I have to do a factory reset on the watch, uninstall and reinstall the app about 4 times before it will connect again. Takes about 6 hours to complete. Wish I had paid less and gotten another Samsung gearfit. Update: that address does not work. If you are going to make a suggestion to make it work you could at least use a valid website and not something you made up.UPDATE. watch no longer recognizes phone. At all.

Wear OS is a mediocre wearable operating system. It's slow response, lack of feature and lack of updates make it seem out dated. Yes, it's gotten better, but it seems to still be aimed in the wrong direction. The demand of wearable has changed, but Wear OS hasn't. I wish Android offered an actual OS that competed with the Apple Watch. Very disappointed and might switch to Apple because of the lack of a good smartwatch.

I just got the Ticwatch e and the app is decent. For the most part I like the update but before the update my texts and WhatsApp messages were easier to read. I could scroll through the last several texts and see profile pictures too, and replying was simple. I do not like the new one. I can only see the last text. No profile pictures and the "quick responses" are annoying and way to easy to accidentally hit.. please is there anyway I can go back to the way they were before the update??

Want to like it but...It just doesn't feel ready for primetime. Wear OS needs a major change before I will come back. We need modern hardware for one: A modern processor that uses less battery and has more power, more RAM and storage. The app also needs more options for users and better coding. I found it glitchy. I even bricked my watch using this. It got stuck in a tutorial loop because I factory reset it and disabled the tutorial app before completing the tutorial. WearOS needs to do better.

Eight of them have popped up while writing this review. I tried uninstalling and then reinstalling with no success. Please fix this!

The latest update seems to have broken GoogleFit on the watch. It will no longer automatically sync heart rate information in GoogleFit. That feature worked until this newest update was installed. It kind of defeats the purpose of having that feature if I have to manually check my heart rate. The watch is functioning properly, it is recording the information it just isn't working in the Google services.

This update is absolute trash. Won't connect. When it does it still doesn't sync anything . It's this version, I used a backup from April 2018 and it worked. Google, whatever update you did for Google services is trash. I've never had as many issues as I'm having with Google. Gmail, Google sign in, Google Keep "keeps crashing", "please try again", "something went wrong" constant error. Google answer: clear the cache, reboot the phone, reset phone, uninstall/reinstall... Every day/hour?!! C'mon

WearOS started out promising and has somehow degraded over the years. Assistant usage is literally useless. Takes a full 30 seconds to open...where it will inevitably error out. Then you can ask again and 30% of the time it will work the second time. Notifications come through about %30 of the time. Gesture "click" option was removed but they kept the ability to scroll...I.E. it's there to tease you now...but be completely useless. The entire OS is so laggy. But they asded cards omglul!

Note: There has already been a post for this in the forums since the release of the update, with dozens of replies, but Google has yet to reapond. I have uninstalled the app while I await a fix.

Have a Huawei Watch with a Galaxy S8, unable to receive calls. It buzzes once and goes straight to voicemail. What good is a watch when you cannot receive any calls. Intermittent problem. After resetting network works between 3-6 times, and then starts doing it again. Thinking it is a software issue. Switching to Samsung Watch with Tizen.

Failed to install/update on my galaxy S7, and after attempting to do so it seems my google play store is completely broken, asking for authentication even though I am successfully signed in with 3 accounts, among other weirdness. I've tried several times to set up my smartwatch with my phone. Everything goes well initially; however, I eventually encounter problems that arise with Google and associated services. The play store stops working eventually disconnecting completely with no ability to reconnect. Google apps like Keep, Fit and Google Assistant keep posting error messages that the apps have stopped. Only a factory reset resolves the issues with the phone, but reconnecting the watch restarts the nightmare.

This app had a virus-like effect on both my and my boyfriend's phones. To the extent that we both had to factory reset them. I downloaded this app when I found my old Asus Zenwatch 2. Minutes after connecting the watch to my phone, they were no longer connected and refused to reconnect. Even after uninstalling the app, and restarting several times, my phone would not charge and the play store crashed. The play store and YouTube apps on my boyfriend's phone would not work.

I installed this app after purchasing a Moto 360 sport 2nd generation watch and it, somehow, made it impossible to connect to the Google Playstore on my phone. In addition, all my Google apps stopped working properly. I was forced to factory reset my phone to get it to work properly, but now have a useless smartwatch that can't be updated or connect to my phone. I looked everywhere to see if there was a way to fix this, but had no luck. If there is, please let me know. Great job Google.

My WearOS updated last night. Since then my phone has drained rapidly, leaving me in a serious bind because I was traveling. My phone hard locked twice. I finally looked at my battery usage to find that WearOS had used a ridiculous 84% of my battery! I have turned off the connection between the watch and phone for now because I need to communicate with my phone rather than get notifications. Overall, WearOS has been hit and miss with updates but good when there's a stable version.

Great, but my battery is draining faster on my phone than ever before (Watch seems ok). It literally drains faster when my screen is off. Prior, a couple hours without use and I would lose maybe 5% at most. Now I can go 30 minutes and lose 10% easy. Cleary there is an optimization issue with Bluetooth settings. Please fix.

just like all the other reviews, my problem is with the updated app. I had no problem disconnecting one of the two Gen 4 Venture watches I own, in order to wear the other, until now. Since yesterday, I've been talking with customer support in order to rectify my problem of not being able to fully pair my watch and Samsung Galaxy S9+ because the app gets to one point on my phone and then stops. It won't continue with the process. As I said earlier, I never had a problem of pairing my warches.

LOVED the app. Stop updating for no reason. Currently the battery life has gone from 2-2 1/2 days to 4-5h. That's insane. Please fix this. Update: Tried removing apps, etc .. the battery dies even faster now. I took it to the gym and it was dead in less than an hour. Something is draining the battery and it only happens after this update. i wish we could rollback the software update. sigh.

Generally a decent OS for wearables, but several GLARING deficiencies within the Google Fit companion app make one want to investigate Tizen, Fitbit OS, or others. 1. (Lack of) Swim tracking: My Fossil Explorist watch is swimproof, but since Google Fit DOESN'T HAVE A SWIM-TRACKING APP, what's the point? 3rd party apps like Swim.com and Swimpro are terrible (hard to use, drain battery life). How did you conceive of us using a swimproof watch without being able to know elapsed time, number of strokes, distance? 2. No built-in SLEEP TRACKING (3rd party apps are almost nonexistent, and the one that does exist "Sleep as Android" is terrible). The Huawei Health app (for Android & Wear OS) does integrate sleep tracking, but I don't have a Huawei. It's moot. Why isn't this basic functionality an integral part of Fit, since new smartwatches contain all manner of sensors? 3. EXPORTING FITNESS DATA: The most basic requirement of devices that track health/exercise, should be the ability to EXPORT all that data, so you can analyze it on your PC (and not just look at it on a tiny phone screen). Is there no ability to export all that Fit data to my Windows PC to track my progress?

I have been using the Tic Watch E for nearly a year now and I have yet to see Wear OS produce an update that takes advantage of the devices functionality and most importantly battery life. Since the May 22, 2019 Update there is a small 'yellow' bar that appears on the right side of the home screen and a 'blue' bar that appears around the home screen, the step counter has does not reset, despite power cycling the device twice, and the battery life of the device has diminished. Booting up the device from a full charge depletes 10% of the battery.

I don't even use this app, it came preloaded on my phone and is one of those apps you can't fully uninstall, just disable. Whenever I restart my phone, this app re-enables itself and updates, and my phone can no longer read my SD card. I've been forced to turn off auto update for all of my other apps as a result.

So far so good for my huawei watch 2. It will be nice if there is an option to make the watch's screen to stay on for more than 5 seconds, maybe give options to increase it at a 5 or 10 seconds intervals. Also, it will be good if the lock pattern can be hidden like the android system. People beside me on subway can see my pattern, no privacy/security.

Update: updated app on new fossil sport watch 4/25 and 5/1. Still same issue below. Seems like server error. Mic kicks out of service./ Since last update can't complete setting a reminder. Worked perfectly until the newest 2.1 update in September. Now the UI is over complicated and cluttered particularly with the new notification feed which I find awful to use compared to the way it was. I would really like to see an option to have individualized full-screen notifications back. The new 2.1 notifications are just simply too hard to read.

Just like all of the rest of these recent reviews, the most recent update has rendered my smart watch useless. The Bluetooth on the watch says that it's connected to my phone but it's unable to pull any notifications or location data or anything else. The watch's battery is depleted from 100% after just a few hours now, which leads me to believe that the watch is getting stuck in some kind of infinite loop attempting to establish or maintain a connection. I'm not sure what the issue is but none of the standard troubleshooting links provided by Google support are fixing this anything after this update.

Update 3-19-19 I was finally able to get the battery to stop draining on the watch when not in airplane mode. It involved ordering a replacement device, factory resetting the watch again, pairing the watch to the new phone, and then making sure both the watch and the phone had all of the latest updates available from both the app store, and the phone itself running the latest version of software. But now it works like it used to. Connection Issues after the last update in January my watch battery for Fossil Q Marshall now only lasts like 6 hours when it used to last 2 days because it is constantly trying to connect back to the phone and app. I have factory reset the watch multiple times and re-paired the device and even sitting right next to each other the connection gets lost within minutes of pairing. Terrible update has made a good feature bad.

Apparently there was an update on the software and once again I cannot pair my phone and watch. I have unpaired, uninstalled app, reset watch to factory several times and same issue. Called Fossil and they said to write up a review as they couldn't help with the issue and it seems to be the app and not the watch itself. It makes the watch completely useless for what is made for to continue with this issue everytime there's an update.

Want more. Short cuts on swipe down (customize). Goggle maps needs to be sooooo much better. Big direction arrows, nudges (haptic buzz) on turns. More features for email....write/reply. Easier music transfer to location of choice. Map needs Google favorites transfered to wear map. Map/GPS functionality needs=if walking or riding a bike & my watch should nudge me when I have to turn, then a big arrow is all you need. Maybe make the arrow get smaller as you get closer to destination

I get constant pair requests, sometimes have to manually pair, sometimes it may be magically pairs on it's own. Very inconsistent. Draining watch battery rapidly with barely any usage. I'm very disappointed in the battery life of my watch since the update. I've barely touched it today and it's at 14% just from running the operating system software. I put it on at 7am and it's barely 2:30pm. That is completely unacceptable. UPDATE 3/4/19 - Did the steps, same issue with battery drain from OS. 21% drain from the OS without other use. 9:30-11am down to 65% without use! The OS is the issue, not the watch. No excuses.. Im so upset! I've had my Michael Kors Bradshaw watch since Xmas! It counted my steps just fine..Now since the updates the step counter stays on zero or just two dashes depending on the watch face you choose. One of the main reasons i wanted a smartwatch was to be able to view my daily steps by just looking at my watch! This is very annoying and makes it hard to enjoy! The updates only create problems including draining the battery. My watch battery used to last a full day..now not even close.

Still this: I really really really hate that Google Fit is now being forced front and center on my watch. Swipe left and it's right there and cannot be removed. Not everyone uses fitness apps and should not be forced front and center on the watch. At the least, there should be an option to disable it and just not have a swipe left. It would be even better to disable it and be able to replace it with another app on the watch or a shortcut to an app.

Both watches can no longer connect to the app. Please fix! Factory reset phone and watches. Phone is up to date. It's the app! Update: I had to delete this app and install Android Wear 1.3.0.2369832 version (google it). Unpair watch from bluetooth. Then factory reset my watch and reset phone. This app sucks Big Time. You can only connect one watch at a time. if your watch disconnects or can't find your watch. You have to reset your watch to factory settings in order to reconnect losing everything on the watch. To add to my troubles. I had Wear 2.0 on my watch FossilaQ Control sport and after a reset. I'm back to wear 1.2. And it will not update anymore. The phone I'm using is a Samsung s9.

I love my watch and thought it was working perfectly. Since this latest update, it seems as if there is a glitch in the screens response to touch. I am not able to access the bottom portion of my screen, it only allows for the slide up to see notifications. There also seems to be a delay in the screen going from the watch face to anyother app (Fit, Agenda, Contacts). The screen goes black for a couple of seconds and then the app appears. This has never happened before. I am not pleased.

App worked great. However recently (has there been a recent update?) the lower 1/3 of watch is dead. Only thing that can happen there is pulling up notifications- for a whole 1/3 of the face. Any options/clickables are inactive if fall in that area. As a result, can't even restart the watch since "system" falls in lower 1/3 once you open setting! Watch is Huawei watch 2. Please solve it.

The latest update drains my first gen Diesel On Full Guard like crazy. By noon it's dead, I did some digging and it wasn't one of the apps installed on my phone. Watch Idle was using the most power and the battery usage went up once I left home where the watch is connected to my home WiFi. Once i turned off the WiFi it's suddenly performing as before. I think when it's not connected to a WiFi it's trying too hard and that drains the battery. I'm surprised this want tested better.

This app used to work fine, but now it fails to change my music via Google assistant. the other calls to Google assistant seem to work, it can send texts and get weather reports and start phone calls. When I ask to change music it either says Google can't be reached or the phone isn't connected. however I know that the phone is connected because I can skip out rewind tracks with the watch controls. Not being able to ask for a specific song pretty much ruins the experience. It worked for months.

Incredibly unstable. Twice now the phone app has forgotten my watch and reset as if it were a fresh install- taking me back through initial setup. Twice I've had to do a total factory reset on my watch just to get it to resync because there is literally no other way to do that- which means all of its apps, data, and settings are gone. And every time I've had to do the setup, the tutorial refuses to go away until I manually block it from notifications.

Make Wear OS Great Again.... PLEASE!? It used to work seamlessly with my Asus Zenwatch but one day it disconnected and has been a nightmare to reconnect and stay connected. The process gets hung up on "continue setup on phone", but the app on the phone is still stuck on "checking updates". i run the battery down on my watch resetting and disconnecting repeatedly. Good app for Wear devices. Needs a couple features added/fixed. 1)~ Option in the Wear app itself to adjust the screen "time out" on watch faces. 2)~ Uninstalled apps are showing up in the allowed notifications in the app notification setting. Apps that were uninstalled days ago are still showing up in there. Needs to have reload data/app cache option or built-in better.

I thought the new update would allow you to view stacked text (multiple text from one person). I can still only see the most recent text with my watch and selecting the message doesn't unstack the messages so that you can view them all. That's why I only have it 4 stars. Edit 1/1/2019: After downloading the Google "Messages" app the most resent text only displaying problem no longer was an issue. It's clear that it was a Samsung "Messages" issue which is why I changed my rating.

It allows you to change the face of the smart watch, set notifications, and use google assistant....that's it. Nothing to allow the user to change ringtones/sounds. nothing to add additional apps. Good for what it is...just limited in its use.

I really don't know if this is due to the hardware or software issue, but I have disconnected & reinstalled Wear OS and my new Michael Kors Access smartwatch Sofie multiple times for the watch to be functional. It works for a day, then the watch works slow or the apps don't come on the next day. It's absolutely frustrating.

Overall a decent app with one big flaw. Connecting my Fossil Q Explorist watch was a breeze and the watch interacts well. Biggest complaint is the very limited options regarding the Google Assistant. There currently is no way of disabling Assistant and it currently has my crown button mapped to activate Assistant with no way to change the mapping. I constantly am having to manually turn off Assistant after accidentally hitting the crown button with my wrist. Please fix this.

Had an issue with my ASUS Zenwatch 2 and decided to factory reset. Since then, haven't been able to finish set up. Watch says to finish set up on phone and in the app, it gets stuck at 50% forever. I have tried clearing the Cache and uninstalling Wear OS and have tried multiple times doing the same procedure. Super disappointed that my watch is a expensive paper weight now.

after a run through with support with the app people and a quick call the manufacturer of my watch I found out that the wear OS app was not compatible with the message +from Verizon. so I changed the message app on my phone and the text alerts come right through on my watch from my samsung Galaxy s9. now it works like the smart watch I've always wanted.

Text message notifications are gone! Using ZTE Quartz watch with Samsung GS7 phone. Text notifications disappear as soon as they are received, gone from watch and phone. I've missed several important messages thanks to this bug! Downgrading to old version of Wear OS fixes issue, but you loose new features! Get it together, Google! One of the main points of a smart watch is to get your notifications on your wrist! Not to have them dissappear entirely from phone and watch both!

My phone contacts won't sync all the contacts. My most commonly used ones, are missing from watch. I've performed a factory reset on my watch and now I have contacts listed 5-6 times. Can't get text messages. The app itself should have an option to manullay sync with phone. So when you add/delete contacts its reflected on the watch.

The bug where the app gets stuck on the splash screen is still present and has been present for years now. Hundreds of other users have this issue and none of us can use our watches while it exists. Please fix this instead of rolling out useless new features. And if your broken and unintuitive play store would let me leave 0 stars, I would.

When I installed on my on my watch, it ate up all my storage. Looking into the app on my phone it showed it loaded 3 times. I had to perform a factory reset, then I had all my storage back! Until 5 minutes later it said Wear OS needs to update, and then it duplicated itself. Thankfully it left half my storage untouched, but it did gobble up additional space. Can this be fixed? Performance wise it's useful, and I like it though.

Not dependable at all. I've had both the Moto 360 and the Michael Kors Sofie smart watches and been dissappointed with both Android Wear and Wear OS. Both watches would have battery issues, dying partway through a single day without inordinate use. Interface would freeze or move glacially slowly through menu navigation (i.e. last page would be partially visible with new page halfway drawn) and don't even get me started on Google Fit workout tracking/detecting with this POS. And notifications... you better leave them turned on through your phone because Wear OS will silently stop receiving notifications or freeze up when you least expect it.

I was able to see my messages and notifications and it all worked great. Recently, anytime that I turn on my bluetooth on my phone it shuts my watch off. It's a moto 360 and the only way to turn it back on is to place it in the charger, then once it reboots an error message pops up on the watch saying there was a communication error. If the bluetooth is off the watch works great otherwise no luck. My watch is pretty useless now

There is an issue with Wear and text messages. Text message notifications are clearing as soon as they come in when notifications are set to be sent to the watch. If you turn this off notifications will stay on the phone until manually cleared by the user. Text message notifications are not being sent to the watch whether they are enabled or not. This is on the Pixel 3 Xl. Update: this issue is directly related the latest update. Uninstalling the update fixes everything.

Couldn't update my last one star review....10/25/18...Still a garbage app...I'm sick of having to factory reset my smart watch (LG URBANE) every time I want to go back to a phone that's listed on the connectivity list in the watch...happens when I go to my Google Pixel XL 2 or to another phone or back. Why do they list steps to fix connectivity issues when the fact is there is only one FACTORY RESET!!! So my smart watch is unused because it's too much of a hassle to get it connected. WORTHLESS APP!!!!!

Step in the right direction, but still needs a lot of work. 1) Can't find the screen on time for the life of me. I've been through all settings and have yet to find it. 2) The media controller app is pretty slick, but it gets annoying that it is its own app, that I have to swipe right to dismiss to do anything else like check notifications. Just make it it's own Card. Settings > Clock Face > Media Controller > Notifications. I should be able to swipe up and down and get back to it easily. Maybe give an option to make it the default card if media is playing? 3) Battery life still leaves a lot to be desired. 4) Performance still needs a lot of work.

Just got an expensive Fossil watch last night. It's gorgeous! But I'm not receiving any text messages to my watch at all. I'm getting emails, but no texts. I don't even see how I can send a text from my phone. Seems to be nothing on my watch to do this. Extremely shocked, frustrated and disappointed as that's the whole purpose of having the watch... To make life easier and receive my messages. Uncertain why I can't send/receive texts from my watch. Please help.

Works great but it could be more useful to add a feature that the clock notifies when the Bluetooth is out-of-range just like some wireless headsets do. So it could be used when sometimes the clock is disconnected and you didn't notice it or you left or forgot your cellphone somewhere and you're not carrying it with you anymore so you go back to your car or house and get it back, for example . You get the idea. Keep with the good work.

I don't know why my bluetooth can connect to the watch but not the app. So i cant finish set up which means, it doesn't work. I tried connecting to my iPad and it worked. Factory reset nor the uninstall and install does the job. There's no drop down arrow to be able to add the watch to the phone that is stated on the "help". Galaxy S9 with Android 8.0 may not be compatible with this app because I've been struggling to connect.

Used to be a great way to control my audiobooks, get my notifications and such. With the latest update media control is a separate app that can't seem to find any audio player, be it book, music or other. If I could I'd return this piece of scrap and buy something that works.

I love my Fossil Q Venture. However after the update, it became way too easy to send messages on accident from my watch since the possible responses pop up right away. I have already done it twice and I have only had the update for a week. I never had a problem before. Please consider changing it for the next update and my review will obviously change.

This app would be great except every time it updates the now playing media control complication disappears. That's one of the most useful features in this app! Arggh!!! Reset the watch and reinstalled app once. That fixed it for a little while. Then it disappeared again.

Update: doesn't seem to function when you have two Google accounts associated with it. I had to remove my secondary Google account, uninstall updates from the play store, delete data from Google Play Store and Play Services and reboot my phone to get this app to load again and complete the set up of my watch after the factory reset. Will not be adding the second Google account back in, which reduces the functionality of my watch. We'll see how long it works this time around. Old review: Garbage. App doesn't load at all now and was constantly disconnecting when it used to load. Turned my $300 watch into a brick since I can't run the app to run set up after doing the recommended troubleshooting that is suggested here in the comments by Google where they suggest a "factory reset" if all the other steps fail. Uninstalled and reinstalled the app about 5 times. Still doesn't get past the opening graphic. Restarted my phone and reset the watch several times. The phone can see my watch and the watch can find my phone in my phone's bluetooth settings - they even connect successfully if I connect through bluetooth on my phone settings - but since the app doesn't work at all, I can't set my watch back up. Garbage garbage garbage.

This was great until the update 9/24/18. Now Google Fit is running in the background constantly and drains my battery. My watch used to last all day, now by the time I get home from work it's almost dead. Then, when I put it on the charger it acts like it's charging, but it won't actually charge until I restart it. So, it's great when it's not completely pissing me off, but it's pissing me off A LOT.

The latest update really makes a big difference in user experience. Everything looks cooler on my watch (ticwatch pro). A lot more useful info is available at the swipe of a finger. The notifications look a lot nicer and are more functional now. Just an overall great job. Thank you.

I absolutely hate the 2.1 update. The notification font size has been decreased and multiple notifications are seen at once, making it incredibly hard to see what the notification is about. And, of course, there's no way to change this behavior. Google, once again, couldn't leave something alone and had to fix something that wasn't broken...

Was working perfectly fine until the newest (9/24/18) update. Now there are no music/media controls available on the watch interface, even after reconfiguring notification settings. Notifications are also not coming in, even after I factory reset the watch and reinstalled the Wear OS app multiple times. I have never been dissapointed by this app before, but the newest update has essentially bricked my $300 smart watch. Please fix this issue, Google.

I would love to have the widget back. While I would prefer a step counter, at least allow the option for a heart points and move minutes widget. So far, I'm just not excited about the updates that have been pushed out over the last couple of months. The app design looks nice and clean and I think I see where the developers are going with it, but I feel they completely abandoned the uses of the original user base (but I'm sure they know how their user engaged with the app) in this rework.

Google please fix the NIXON Mission watchface. Ever since the new update. you can not change the colors or the subdials they are just blank. it shows in settings the colors are changed, but they are not. I know you are aware of this issue. I would like to just know a possible fix timeline. So far the new update is not as good as the older version.
